Merry Christmas…? Yes, an update after over seven years. I have many stories that I've never finished but this is one of the ones that has stuck with me and after re-reading this yesterday, my love for this story was rekindled.

Can't promise anything but I hope I'll be able to finish this story.

Enjoy!

A noise pulled Penelope from her dreams and she stretched languidly, like a cat, across her warm, yet slightly uncomfortable bed. She frowned as she tried to get a sense of surroundings. There was a soft…yet also hard surface beneath her that definitely was not her bed. She blinked slowly and things began to take shape around her. Sun was streaming in through a window somewhere, which lit up the room with a dazzling sparkle.

She licked her dry lips and looked down to see a grinning Derek Morgan looking up at her with a glint in his eyes "Morning Baby Girl," he said smugness in his voice.

Everything came back to Penelope in a rush and she grinned back at him, she liked the nickname and how easily it fell from his lips. She felt like he could have been calling her that since day one, it felt so natural.

"Morning Hot Stuff," she said and leaned down to capture his lips in a sweet kiss.

The noise that had broken through her dreams came again and startled Penelope away from Derek, she looked to her right, she instantly blushed bright red and pressed herself harder against Derek's chest as she tried to keep her modesty.

Emily was standing not three feet from the couch with her arms crossed over her chest, and a look of annoyance on her face.

Spencer was also there, standing slightly behind Emily, he looked a little embarrassed but also there was a hint of mirth in his eyes.

"Ah Emily, I'm so glad you and Spencer are safe! I'd get up to hug you but well…" Penelope looked down at the blanket flimsily covering both her and Derek's naked bodies "we're kind of indisposed at the moment."

"You think?" Emily deadpanned.

Penelope felt a pout forming on her lips "Listen Em, don't be mad. This is uh...a good thing. Weren't you saying on the plane that I should give Derek a chance? It's better than the fighting, right?"

Emily snorted "I cannot believe you two. You put us through almost a decade of uncomfortable and tense moments with your fighting, and you're left alone for less than twenty-four hours, and you end up in bed together?!"

"Technically they ended up on the couch together," Spencer piped up finding his voice which made Derek, who had been unusually quiet, chuckle.

"Not helpful," Emily said shaking her head and Spencer sent her an apologetic look.

Turning back to the two on the couch, Emily stood there waiting for what Penelope wasn't sure, a better excuse than 'it just happened' she was guessing.

Derek cleared his throat "As amusing as this conversation has been, do you think we could get dressed and continue this around the table as we have breakfast, I'm starving!"

Penelope tried to fight the smile she felt pulling at the corner of her lips. After the night they'd had she wasn't surprised that Derek was hungry. In fact she was feeling a bit peckish herself.

Emily shook her head "Fine, but you are not off the hook for this by any means," she said before moving away and tugging Spencer along to give them their privacy.

Even after Emily's scolding, Penelope couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed that she and Derek couldn't take their time getting ready. Yes, she was embarrassed that her friends had caught them in such a situation but her embarrassment couldn't starve off her feelings of arousal forever, and lying naked on his chest with their lower halves pressed together was not helping the situation.

He grinned at her and she had a feeling he might be thinking along the same lines as he leaned up and stole a kiss. "Come on," he said gruffly next to her ear "we'll finish what we started later but for now we have to face the music."

As gracefully as she could, Penelope pushed herself off the couch and smiled up at Derek when he stood and placed the blanket around her. He looked quite comfortable standing there in the nude and Penelope couldn't help but admire him.

She felt like she must still be dreaming. How had she managed to end up in the arms of this sculpted, Chocolate Adonis, who up until yesterday she had hated with her very being.

"Quit staring at me like that women or we'll never make it to breakfast," Derek muttered.

Penelope felt her cooling cheeks heat up again but she just smiled and ran a hand down his chiseled chest "Now Hot Stuff, don't tease me unless you're gonna follow through."

Derek groaned, he pulled Penelope close and his hands came around to cup the globes of her ass, pressing her hard against his growing erection.

"If Prentiss and Reid weren't in the other room, I'd have you up against the wall begging me to enter you, before you even knew what was happening." He gruffly whispered in her ear.

Penelope whimpered, she couldn't think of anything she wanted more.

However she managed to pull away "Promises, promises." She said with a wink in Derek's direction. She bent down to pick up her Grinch Sweater that was lying right next to her feet, making sure to give Derek a good view. She heard his low hum of approval but straightened and headed towards her room before she let herself be pulled back in.

Emily would kill them if they didn't hurry up.

She knew that as hard as it was to wait, they would have plenty of time to get better acquainted with each other's bodies soon.
