Harry smiled as he wrapped his arms around Lucius from behind, pressing their cheeks together as he looked down at their sons in his love's arms. He pressed a kiss to Lucius' cheek, stroking his hand over Killian's head.
"How was today?" Harry asked softly.
"Tiring, but it went well. I have spoken to the governors, it seems that our being together has earned me a forgiveness, though I am not sure that I have truly earned that forgiveness," Lucius sighed.
"Lucius,"
"I am sorry, heavy thoughts,"
"Not heavy thoughts, doubts," Harry shook his head before brushing his lips over Lucius' cheek again. "You deserve us, you deserve happiness, and we love you," Harry said firmly.
"I don't, not truly, but thank you for saying it anyway," Lucius smiled turning to capture Harry's lips. The dark haired man did not say anything when they parted but his look was mulish. "The governors are on our side, it is a matter of time before we get rid of him,"
"Indeed the nets are closing in around him. However you have forgotten the rule," Harry tutted.
"Huh?" Lucius looked so bewildered that Harry had to chuckle.
"No plotting over the boys!" Harry scolded making Lucius laugh as he remembered the rule Harry had laid over the Malfoys. One that they were sticking to as closely as they could, especially after Alexander had been sent from the room running with the force of Harry's stinging hexes when he had casually suggested a dark hex in front of the boys.
"Sorry!" Lucius grimaced.
"You're ok, just remember for next time," Harry laughed kissing Lucius' cheek. The blonde turned and pressed their lips together making Harry smile. "Come on, I cooked supper,"
He plucked Killian from Lucius' arms and moved towards the door. Lucius blinked as he stood and oved to follow Harry, his dark haired love turned and looked over his shoulder with a sweet, welcoming smile.
Once a week they had their supper in their room, spending time just the four of them together. They both loved having everyone, their family together, but at the same time they needed time to themselves as well. And time with the boys by themselves as well as it normally turned into a battle over who got to hold them when they were with the others.
"Mmm your cooking has to be the best thing I have ever smelt," Lucius sighed contently as he walked into the little dinning room he had had added onto their suit. The scents of Harry's cooking filled the room and made his stomach grumble.
"Creep, but I appreciate it," Harry laughed.
"I only ever tell you the truth," Lucius took Harry's mouth in a sweet kiss before he moved over to the table, breathing in the scents of Harry's home cooking.
Harry smiled and nodded at the worker that walked passed him, eyes fastened onto the pram in front of him. Rolling his eyes he tried to make himself more comfortable on the seat as he waited for the waitress to come back with the boys bottles.
His nerves were a little shot, and his hand was not far from his wand. He was fairly sure he was suffering from a mixture of parental worry at having the boys out and about for the first time, and the genuine worry of people out there that wanted revenge on Lucius and himself.
He had allowed Sirius to convince him to come out, but then of course his Godfather had decided that Remus should be here and had disappeared through the floo fifteen minutes ago to go and get him, leaving Harry sitting in the café. By himself.
He was just muttering to the boys that their grandpas had better not be late because they were getting up to naughty stuff, when what sounded like a banshee shriek went through the café making everyone look up confused and stunned. And what they all saw quickly had Harry casting the shielding charm that he had been practicing for weeks now. It was the strongest one he could cast to protect his babies. The bubble surrounded the pram and settled with a light golden glow just as Narcissa reached him.
"You! You! You!" She spluttered furiously.
"Me, how exactly can I help you Madame?" Harry smirked at the term as she spluttered even more. Both of them were more than aware that she was not entitled to that term anymore. Everyone in the restaurant was not even attempting to hide the fact that they were watching and listening eagerly.
"You stole my life! You stole it!" She spat furiously.
"No, I did not, you have no one to blame for your current situation but yourself," Harry said calmly. The once calm, collected and icy Mrs Malfoy was nothing like the woman she had been. Her blonde hair was fly away and looked tangled and slightly greasy, her clothes had clearly seen better days, but she was trying to make them look fashionable still. Her face was pale and her eyes slightly sunken. The madness in them made him very aware that this was Bellatrix's sister.
"It was you! It was all your fault! You stole my husband, my manor, my son, my family, my life! It was you all you! If you had not spread your legs like a whore I would still have my life!" She screamed and tried to hit him. One flick of his wand and she was thrown back into the next table.
"You know what I think the problem with you is? The real problem?" Harry said, his voice barely able to control his anger. "The problem is you have never been held responsible for your own actions. You have no one to blame for your current situation but yourself. I have stolen nothing from you, only lived your life the way you should have instead of demanding and expecting more without giving anything back. Lucius, I love him with everything that I have and everything that he deserves, and treat him with the respect that he deserves and for that, he loves me too and treats me as though I am one of the most precious things he has ever seen. Your manor you treated as nothing more than what you deserved, to me it is my home. Your son you treated as nothing more than a means to an end and a way to punish Lucius, I treat him with respect and actually try and encourage their relationship while never leaving him out of our family or just speaking to him when it is worth something to me, and for that Draco respects me and we have a good relationship, despite your best attempts he is a good, kind and intelligent man with a big heart, and a lot of love that you forced him to hold back. Your family, I hate to break this to you, but none of them actually ever really liked you because of the way you treated Lucius, because I treat him right and am starting to repair some of the damage your poisonous and vile behaviour inflicted upon them, I have been welcomed and accepted with them. And as for your life, well I will take a little of the blame for that, but I am very protective of my family and those that I love, and the way you have treated them could not go unaccounted for. I love Lucius, and the way you have treated him was unforgivable,"
"You...you..."
"You are a cruel, vile, poisonous, vicious, selfish, self centred, heartless, spoiled, disgusting shrew of a woman and everything that has happened to you, you deserve nothing less. You are reaping what you have sewn, and now you have to live with the consequences of your actions. You want someone to blame, look in the mirror dear! You treat enough people like they are worthless and you will become nothing more than worthless yourself in the end," Harry snapped.
"You...you..."
"I am done with you, unless you wish to be arrested for harassment I suggest you get far away from here right now," Harry sniffed turning away.
He caught the flash of the spell she cast but seven different spells flew from nowhere and threw her across the room.
"Are you ok Mr Potter?" One of the other clients at the restaurant came over lowering his wand.
"I am fine, thank you for your help," Harry smiled.
"Are your sons ok?" A woman asked hurrying over as well and peering through the shield around the pram. "Aww they are fine, and can I say adorable!" She beamed.
"Thank you so much," Harry preened slightly.
"How on earth do you tell them apart? They are identical!" Another man asked, also peering down at them.
"With great difficulty, they have quite different persoanlities though, so that makes it much easier," Harry explained.
"Which one is which, their names are Killian and Maddock correct?" A second lady asked.
"Killian is on the right and Maddock on the left,"
"Oh their hair is beautiful," The waitress sighed looking softly at the two beautiful babies.
"We were not sure who's hair colour would win out considering both the Potters and the Malfoys have been known for their hair colours being passed through the generations," Harry laughed.
"It suits them though," The waitress smiled.
"Thank you," Harry reached into the pram and ran his hand over the blonde hair over Maddock. Killian cooed and bounced his legs a little making them chuckle. Harry tickled his belly gently.
"The aurors are on their way. I am sorry that this happened Mr Potter. She will never be welcomed in this restaurant again, and neither will Lord McNair," The owner looked to the man who was trying to sneak out of the restaurant, the man Harry realised who had to have taken Narcissa in, the one to bring her here. He met the Death Eater's eyes and in one look gave his warning. He knew that the man had to have been plotting against Lucius and himself, he obviously though Narcissa had something to offer...
"McNair!" Harry called making him pause in the doorway. Harry smiled sweetly. "We have change all the wards and protections around the manor, and they have been strengthened with both my magic and Lucius'. You are more than welcome to try and gain access with whatever information she has given you, however I imagine it would be very messy for you, Alexander has done his best work on the manor,"
Narcissa gasped and looked in fear to McNair, realising that she had nothing to bargain with now.
And Harry just smiled all the sweeter at her.
"You really need to stop making the Headlines," Marcus snickered glancing over his newspaper to look at Harry. Sighing Harry adjusted the bottle in Maddock's mouth and looked questioningly at his soon to be brother in law.
"Just read the piece," Lucius rolled his eyes when his brother paused for dramatic effect.
"Its not as though we need to worry about it being bad, you own the Daily Prophet," Bill snorted.
"Very true," Lucius smiled smugly. He hugged Killian a little closer, bending to kiss the babe's hand when he reached up and gripped onto Lucius' blonde hair.
"Spoil sports," Marcus huffed. "Fine! Its not like it is one of the biggest pieces. 'Yesterday in a restaurant the saga of Lords Lucius and Harry, the couple in the forefront of the wizarding worlds eyes, the couple everyone want to know a little more about, continued on. Lord Lucius' ex wife Narcissa, allowed no family name, attacked Lord Harry verbally in the restaurant where he was sitting waiting for his babies bottles to be brought to him. Casting a shield immediately over his sons, Lord Harry stood tall, and when Narcissa tried to accuse him of ruining her life he delivered the following chastisement...'"
Harry flushed as he listened to his own words read back to him, word for word, while Lucius looked at him with wide eyes. Then his expression softened gently, and Harry could see the love in his eyes, and in the smile that he gave to his dark haired fiancé.
"'...following the verbal attack Narcissa tried to attack Lord Harry with magic when the young Lord and new father's back was turned. However before Lord Harry could defend himself those in the restaurant stepped forward to do so for him. Interviews with those present have been included at the end of this article. But all present said that they could not stand by and watch as the young father was attacked by such a loathsome woman. It seems support of Lord Harry and Lucius, and their new sons is rising through our community, the new family have rising support, and the love the two men show for each other again and again is awe inspiring. Lord Lucius has been pushing for impressive changes to our education system, making important changes that are patching over holes many have felt have been in our education system for far too long. This is yet another example of how this couple are making changes and inspiring our community.'"
Harry groaned but he had to admit the article was very well written, and very tastefully done. It helped push their family further into the awareness of the wizarding world as a good force, repairing the damage that had been done to the Malfoy family name.
"Very impressive," Severus drawled as he walked into the room and stood behind Harry, reaching down to tickle Maddock's chin. "Dumbledore is spitting feathers, and a lot of words that are not repeatable in front of young ears,"
"How is his position holding?" Lucius asked after glancing at the boys and then Harry, received a huff and a nod.
"Weak, the teachers doubt his ability to look after the children, and put their well being first. The governors as you know even more so. The school is being covered with letters on a near daily basis with letter and howlers from parents, the whisperings that we have been putting out there are working. Parents are remembering their own time at Hogwarts and recognising the poor control there, the favouritism and the poor organisation of the teachers and the school. It is a matter of time," Severus smirked, bending and taking Maddock from Harry and started winding him for the young man.
"Then we will push a little harder," Harry nodded.
"Harry?" Lucius blinked. Harry bent down and stroked his fingers over Lucius' cheek before pressing his kiss to Lucius' lips lovingly.
"It ends," Harry said softly but firmly. "And our family will win this,
"Of course we will," Lucius smiled.
"Great, now I had better turn Sirius back so he can come join in the plotting," Harry said brightly.
"What did you turn him into?" Severus asked eagerly, pressing a kiss to Maddock's blonde head.
"Clock. Maybe next time he will be on time," Harry grinned.
