Loving Layla El-Faouly had been the hardest and most wonderful thing Marc Spector has ever faced in life. Little does he know his newfound happiness with his wife shall be soon shattered, as Khonshu plans to reunite the three of them.

Steven's attempts to never sleep again start paying off right when he stops wanting them to. Marc steps in to help. Steven is grateful, but upon closer inspection, less than impressed

With their bodies now separated, Marc and Steven must traverse a new life as their own, individual entity. They must try and break their bird brain out of jail, save the world from both Arthur and Ammit, while also trying to process their increasing feelings for one another. Learning their new affinity towards Moonscaping can also be seen as a challenge.

Marc woke up and realised that Jake and Steven weren't in the Mindspace. He would find his brothers and get them back and he would destroy the world to find them. Whoever had taken them would not be alive for much longer. (What he doesn't realise is that its much more complicated than that...)

So much had changed in Marc Spector's life. So much of him had healed, together with Steven, and the soul bond to Khonshu is solid and deeply rooted within them. But the encounters with Apophis still sit on his, one their, mind. Especially what he had told Marc, about the access to the moon energy; an access he should have and doesn't.
