Okay, for starters, I know it's been a hella long time since I started writing this fic. I'm trying to get round all my old storys in hopes to finishing them off but with work and life, it may take a while. Second of all, as it's been so long ago when I started this fic, I may go off track slightly from what I was originally writing. That means the first original chapters may get altered slightly but if I do that I will mention it as later chapters go up. Well think thats all. I dont own Teen Titans and review and let me know what you think.

Friday night, 21.49

Jinx and Raven arrived at Jump City's prison. Raven had offered her help to track down the Rider as the rest of the team took the night off to try and recover from the fight. Raven suggested the prision as a good starting point but in truth, they didn't know where to start. truth, Jinx had been here more times than she wished to count but this was the first time she was here on her own free will. They entered and headed to the front desk where a slightly over weight man in uniform was typing away on a computer. He looked up before laying his eyes on Jinx.

"Didn't think it would be long till we saw you again," he said looking back down at the computer. "Thought it would be longer than a month though."

"She's not being arrested," Raven said simply as the officer looked back up at her.

"Yeah Phil, we're on official Titan business here," Jinx grinned leaning on the counter. "We're looking for someone."

"You'd be better going to the station for missing persons," Phil said now egnoring the computer altogether.

"We're not sure if thier missing exactly," Raven added. "But we need to find a female with black wings. Any come through here fitting that description?"

"Wings?" He repeated as he rubbed his chin in thought. "Can't say we have plus, you guys are usally the ones who brings in the meta human prisoners. I'll check anyway though," he said as his attention returned back to the computer screen.

"He's right," Raven said with a sigh, looking at Jinx. "It's more than likely the Titans who bring in the meta humans. I don't think she's here without us knowing she is already."

"I know," Jinx said with a sigh. "For all we know she might not even be in Jump City anymore but at least if I can keep out of Robin's way while the rest of the group try to come up with a plan..."

"Hey, forget about Robin," Raven said as Jinx looked up at her. "He gets like this when he knows he's been bettered. If you hadn't stepped in, I think things would have gone down a lot worse than they did."

"You think I bettered the Boy Wounder?" Jinx asked sounding like a school kid who'd just been praised.

"No, I was talking about the tall monster thing that was wreaking Jump City," Raven said as Jinx expression dropped. "He kicked Robin's ass."

"Oh," Jinx said feeling just a little stupid.

"Look, what I'm trying to say is," Raven carried on, trying to get to the point. "I think you did good today and I think the rest of the team agrees."

"Really?" Jinx asked with a genuine smile.

"I really do," Raven smiled back before Phil gave a small caugh to get thier attentions.

"No one on our records fit your description girls, I'm afraid," he said looking at them. "You could always try the papers maybe? A lot of the citizens usual send in reports of strange sighting and stuff like that. Maybe someone has seen your mysterious winged women. They have a website too if that helps."

"Thats not a bad idea actually, " Raven said with a nod. "We could have a look back at the tower. Thanks for you help."

"Any time," he smiled as the two headed out of the prison.

"We'll get back to the tower and have a look," Raven said thinking aloud. "Surely someone has seen somthing."

"Yeah and maybe get a coffee on the way," Jinx said with a yawn as Raven turned to her.

"You look tired, have you slept yet since... you know?" Raven asked as they exited out of the prison.

"No," Jinx admitted shaking her head as Raven gave her a concerned look. "No need to give me that look, I'll be fine."

"Im sorry I just feel kind of guilty," Raven apologised. "We all knew what he was like. He just enjoys chasing girls."

"And then dumping them once he's board... and then running off, really fast," Jinx said as she raised her hands behind her head and rested back on them. "In truth, I don't think I'm quite as bothered about him as I was."

"So... your not angry with him any more?" Raven asked sounding a little unsure as Jinx stopped walking.

"Oh no, I'm flaming furious with him still and if I ever get hold of him... oh man, if I get hold of him," Jinx growled as she pounded her fist into her hand repeatedly. "But, I'm not 'bothered' about him anymore."

"I don't think I follow," Raven admitted looking a little confused.

"What I mean is, I don't think I really like him or liked him as much as I thought I did... I mean at all," Jinx tried to explain as she rubbed the back of her neck. "It was just more the fact that he was so sweet and romantic to me. No one's ever treated me like that before. "

"Jinx..." Raven started as Jinx cut her off.

"I know what you're gunna say," she said as she carried on. "I'm an amazing person and Mr Right is out there somewhere but..."

"No, Jinx," Raven said grabbing the women and turning her in the direction of where the city started to end near the woods. "I think we found our mysterious winged women."

Jinx looked where Raven was pointing. Although it wasn't easy to see this late at night, the street lights were just bright enough to make out a figure flying through the sky. A set of large wings quietly flapping. Jinx turned back to Raven with a large smile.

"What are the odds of that being our Rider?" Jinx asked sounding overly happy.

"I'm hoping high," Raven said grabbing her communicator but Jinx didn't wait. "Where are you going? We need to call the team!"

"And let her get away?" Jinx asked turning to face her. "The team got the night off to recover and we've only got a week till big, tall and ugly comes back. I aint giving her chance to fly off."

"Okay but don't take stupid risks!" Raven warned as Jinx gave her a thumbs up before legging it in the direction of the winged figure. "Just follow her so she can't get away and keep your communicator at hand!" She called but Jinx was too fare.

Jinx darted through the buildings before climbing a drain pipe and getting to a roof. She spotted the figure as it made it's way over to a large warehouse and landed on the roof. Jinx quickly followed and quietly headed to the same warehouse before hiding on the edge in the dark. The figure seemed to be walking around in circles as if arguing with itself. Jinx watched for a moment longer before the figure stopped its circling and looked through an opening and jumped down into the warehouse. Jinx followed and looked inside. The warehouse was large and apart from a few tiny led's on some of the machinery, it was completely dark.

"Not getting away from me that easily," Jinx whispered to herself as she jumped down, landing on a stack of large crates.

The crates must have not been stacked correctly though as they began to give beneath her. She tried to catch her ballence before spotting a rail not too fare away. She sprang forwards and managed to catch it just as the crates began to fall.

"What the..." she heard someone call before the loud sound of crates hitting the floor echoed through out the building.

"Ohmygod!" Jinx said in panic as she let go of the rail and landed on her feet. "I was ment to observe and instead I killed them. Oh, Robin is gunna be pissed," she said to herself. "Hello? Anyone there?" She called looking round at the broken crates around her.

She grabbed the communicator and used its tourch feature to light up the area and immediately spotted someone laid on the floor with thier arm up to try and block out the sudden light from thier eyes. Jinx ran to them.

"I'm so sorry I..." she started before stopping suddenly. "Cathy?"

"Jinx?" Cathy asked looking up at the women. "What are you doing here?"

"My job?" Jinx asked confused, not really sure what else to say. "I was following..." And that's when she noticed a large black wing sticking out from the back of Cathy with part of a crate awkwardly lying on top of it. "...You."

"Me?" Cathy asked with a chuckle but it was clear she was in pain. "I said we'd meet again but I didn't mean this soon."

"No," Jinx said shaking her head. "I was following you here. You're Rider?"

"What?" Cathy asked suddenly looking worried. "Why would you call me that?"

"Well funny story, I met a friend of yours who was looking for you," Jinx said leaning down to her.

"A friend?" Cathy asked swallowing hard.

"And I'm quite sure I recall you saying you didn't have guy troubles," Jinx said looking as though she was thinking back. "I'd say he's fifteen feet worth of guy troubles."

"It's not what you think Jinx, you've got to let me get out of here," Cathy begged surprising Jinx.

The playful women she met just hours ago at the pub was now replaced with this very scared and painked looking person. Cathy tried to get up but her wing was pinned down by a splintered crate. It had been ripped through by the wood and a mix of blood and feathers began to pool togeather. Jinx realised only then that she had just been staring at this injured women instead of helping her and so leaned forwards. Cathy's second wing lifted as Jinx paused for a moment in surprise.

"It's okay," Jinx tried to reassure her as Cathy calmed down slightly. "I'm going to help you but you're going to have to tell me what the hell's going on," she said as she tried to look at the injury.

"What's going on?" Cathy asked watching as Jinx tried to life the smashed crate without hurting Cathy more. "Gurter has found me."

"Gurter?" Jinx asked still focusing on the crate. "That's the big guy?"

"Yeah," Cathy nodded as she hissed in pain as Jinx lifted the crate up.

"So why's he after you? He said your his," she asked as she lifted the crate slightly higher.

"Because I am his," Cathy said retrieveing her wing as Jinx dropped what was left of the crate.

"What?" Jinx asked looking at the women.

"He controls me," Cathy said trying to stand up as Jinx took hold of her to steady her.

"How does he control you?" She asked putting an arm around the women for support. Cathy didn't answer as Jinx watched her for a moment. "If you dont tell me I can't help you."

"Did you notice the amulet around his neck?" She asked as they headed to a crate to sit. "It was red."

"Not really," Jinx admitted as Cathy gave her a look. "I was too busy watching everyone get thier asses kicked."

"Well it's conected to me," Cathy carried on. "It's my soul stone. Who ever owns that stupid amulet, owns me. I'm like a slave to it. If I hear a command, I must abide to it."

"So you was running away?" Jinx asked thinking.

"Trying to," Cathy admitted. "Was trying to figure out my next move when you showed up. Had a bug out bag hidden not fare away ready incase he turned up. Was hoping to get it and go."

"I'm so sorry, I feel really bad now," Jinx said before the main doors to the warehouse slid open to reveal Robin and the Titans.

"Don't be Jinx, you found Rider," Robin said as Jinx and Cathy exchanged looks. "You did good."
