(A/N: Hey guys! I know it has been a very long time. It's been a long time since I've written anything, really. Anyway I was reading back on this story and realized that a lot of you guys weren't happy with the original ending. The original ending is what I had planned at the very beginning, but I can understand how you think it was a cop out. So I decided to write an alternate ending. I haven't written in a long time, so I hope that you guys like it. Please review and let me know what you think. Love, Ellivia22)

Lost Without You

Alternate Ending

The bright white light fades away making me feel disoriented. Instead of being in Titan's Tower I am in a strange gray room. There are no windows, nor are there doors. Instead I find myself surrounded by what look like portals. As I slowly get to my feet I realize they aren't portals but oval mirrors.

I rub my head. Everything starts coming back to me all at once: Robin's attack, Speedy's arrow piercing my chest. I touch the large wound on my chest, wincing. Even though I'm no longer alive I can still feel the pain from my fatal wound. I rub my finger over my lips. They are still warm from the tender kiss that Beast Boy gave me. Speaking of Beast Boy where is he? An even better question: Where am I?

Slowly I approach one of the mirrors. I can see my home of Azarath and my six year old self spending time with my mother. I smile, a tear trickling down my face. I never got to say goodbye to her. Then I glance at another mirror. An image of the various villains we fought. Another showed the group of us Titans hanging out being friends. I try to avoid looking at the mirrors across the way. They all showed my painful memories: issues with my father, Trigon, battles with my emotions and former team mates, and Beast Boy dying in my arms.

A golden trimmed mirror hanging in the far right corner catches my attention. It stands out the most because it is the largest. As if in a trance I walk over to the mirror. I am transfixed on the image, for this mirror is different from the others.

Cyborg, Robin, and Speedy are standing in what used to be the Titans living room. Now it's all in shambles. My unmoving body is in Cyborg's arms, blood running freely down my chest. "She's gone," Cyborg says sadly, tears running down his face.

"I-I didn't mean to," Speedy stutters, throwing his bow and arrow to the ground fast as if it was on fire. "She got in the way."

"It's my fault," Robin says, staring at my limp body. His face is no longer full of hatred and revenge. Instead it's full of regret and pain. "I was so blind with hatred I couldn't see that she was trying to help me. S-she saved me..and I don't deserve that."

Cyborg looks at Robin. 'I don't know how or why this fight started, but the best thing we can do is honor Raven's last wish. Let's end this peacefully and go our separate ways."

"Agreed." Robin drops the bo staff he had been clutching onto for the past few minutes. "And we'll bury Raven next to Beast Boy. After everything that's happened they deserve to be together at last."

Cyborg stands up and extends his hand in friendship. Robin shakes it. A tear falls down my face. It makes me feel good that my death was not in vain. I managed to bring peace to the Tower after all. "Goodbye friends," I whisper.

I turn away from the mirror. What happens next? How do I get out of here? And where is Beast Boy? Why did he leave me? I need him now, more than ever. As if he read my mind I hear his voice echo from behind me. "Ready to go home, Rae?"

Everything seems to have disappeared from me when I turn around. True all the mirrors are still surrounding me, but all I am able to see is the green Titan standing a few feet away from me, giving me his famous toothy grin.

"Beast Boy," I whisper. If my heart could beat it would be pounding hard against my chest. I break into a run and collide into him. I press my lips firmly, but passionately against his. I kiss him with all the emotions and love that I've held back for years. Beast Boy responds with just as much enthusiasm. "Where did you go?" I ask breathlessly once we pull apart.

"I had to say one last goodbye to our friends," Beast Boy says sadly, looking past me.

I glance over my shoulder at the mirror I was looking at previously. Cyborg and Robin are standing side by side as the police gently remove my body from the scene. A white dove flies in from the shattered window and lands on Cyborg's shoulder. On closer inspection a green tint is on the bird. It gives a small chirp, then lands on Robin's and another chirp. Then the dove flies out the window again.

"Goodbye Beast Boy," Cyborg whispers.

"Goodbye Beast Boy," Robin repeats. Tears are sliding rapidly from his mask. "I'm truly sorry for everything I did."

I turn back to Beast Boy, my hand landing on his green cheek. It's wet. I notice his green eyes are slightly red. "So what now?" I ask him.

"Now it's time for the both of you to face Judgment," an unknown voice answers. The volume is so loud it rings around the room.

Three figures come out from the shadows. Beast Boy grips onto me protectively. "W-who are you?" he asks.

Once the figures are a few feet away we are able to see their faces. A tall man with short blonde hair, a woman with long dark hair. Both are wearing what looks like white lab coats that seem to give off a white glow. The third person is a man taller than the other two. He has grayish skin and no hair except the long black beard. He's wearing orange and yellow robes. I haven't seen him since I was a very little girl.

"A-Azar?" I stutter.

Azar bows before us. "Raven, what a woman you have become. It is so wonderful to see you again, despite the unfortunate circumstances."

I nod solemnly. "It's great to see you as well." I am about to introduce Beast Boy to my spiritual leader but stop myself. I realize that he probably knows everything already about the both of us. Beast Boy is staring at other people who are here. I understand everything now. Beast Boy didn't move on after he visited me at the graveyard. Instead he waited for me so that we could face Judgment together. My heart swells with love for the green boy next to me. He never left me after all.

"M-mom?" Beast Boy's voice is small, almost child-like. Tears are falling rapidly down his cheeks at a fast rate. "D-dad?"

The man nods. I can see the resemblance, despite the fact that his skin doesn't give off the green color like Beast Boy's body does. Tears are trickling down the older man's almost transparent face as well. "Hello son."

Beast Boy quickly lets go of me and makes a run towards his parents. I watch the family embrace, my heart full of happiness. After everything he's been through he's finally reunited with the people who love him the most. "I-I'm sorry," Beast Boy sobs. "I-I'm sorry that I couldn't save you."

"It's not your fault, Sweetheart," the woman says soothingly. She kisses his head and wipes the tears off his face. "All that mattered was that you made it out of the crash alive."

"I've missed you," Beast Boy whispers.

"We missed you too, Gar." After another long hug the family pulls away.

Beast Boy steps back, putting an arm around my waist. He is about to introduce me when I skip straight to the point. "So you all are here to judge us?"

"No," Azar says. "Judgment has already been made on both of your fates. We are here to deliver them." All three adults look serious. Azar continues. "Raven, throughout your life you've faced many challenges. You spent your entire life trying to keep your emotions control to protect the world from your demon side. You saved countless lives, even the life of the person you felt didn't deserve it." My thoughts immediately turn to Robin for a brief second. "Because of your final sacrifice I welcome you to paradise."

His words warm my non beating heart. "Thank you."

I wait almost impatiently for them to tell us that Beast Boy is ready to come too. The longer the silence progresses, the more nervous I become. It's obvious that Beast Boy is nervous too. With each passing minute his grip around me tightens.

"Gar, your mother and I have always been proud of you. You faced things you shouldn't have at a young age and through it all you remained happy and determined to save others." The words are nice to hear, but I'm not liking the solemn look on the older man's face, nor the silent tears running down Beast Boy's mother's face. "We were proud of you, until you chose to end your life. There was so much good you could have done, so many more people you could've helped. We want more than anything for you to join us in paradise. However, because you committed suicide, you are not allowed to move on with us."

Beast Boy lowers his head in shame. I stare at all three of them in disbelief. My chest is so tight. "But it wasn't his fault! Didn't you see everything he went through?! He thought he had no other choice. Punish me! I hurt your son more than anybody else and I regret it with all my heart. I'm the one who deserves this fate. Not him!"

"No, Raven, he's right. I took the coward's way out. I deserve to be punished for it," Beast Boy says quietly. He struggles to keep the sobs back. "S-so what happens to me now?"

"You have two options," Azar says, addressing Beast Boy directly for the first time. "One: you remain here forever, surrounded by the consequences of your actions. Or two: you can go back to the land of the living. Because you committed suicide, this new life will be even worse than the life you left behind, but it will give you a chance to live a meaningful life and enter paradise."

It doesn't take long for Beast Boy to make a decision. "I-I'll go back to the land of the living." He glances at his parents, then at me. "I want more than anything to make things right. I want to join you guys in paradise." I step away from Beast Boy as his parents envelop him in another emotional hug. " I won't let you down this time, Mom and Dad," Beast Boy sobs. "I promise."

All the emotions I've been suppressing throughout my entire lifetime come pouring out. The tears come so fast down my face everything becomes blurry. I feel proud of Beast Boy for making such a decision to try again, happy for him being with his family again, and terrified all the same time. I'm finally with my true love only to be separated from him again. I won't let that happen if I can help it.

"I'm coming too," I say firmly.

Beast Boy pulls away from his parents once more. He gives me a stern look. "Raven, no."

I look at him with one of my famous glares. "We've just got reunited after being separated for months. I will not be separated from you again!"

Azar gives me a measuring look. "Raven, if you decide to go with Beast Boy, I want you to understand what will happen. Neither of you will remember your previous lives, or each other. Since you two are soul mates I guarantee that you two will meet again. I can't tell you when or how long you'll be together. That'll be up to the both of you."

Beast Boy's gloved hand caresses my cheek, his other arm around my waist once more. "Raven are you sure? You're giving up paradise."

I don't hesitate. "I don't care. All I want is to be with you. Even if I have to wait a little bit longer."

"I love you, Raven," Beast Boy says, pulling me into a tight embrace. "See you soon."

"I love you too, Beast Boy. Forever."

I close my eyes once our lips meet in a powerful kiss. Another flash of white light appears, taking the both of us to a new fate.

Some time later

The halls of Jump City High School were loud as the students prepared themselves for their first classes of the day. A new year had started-the perfect time to get off to a good start.

Sixteen year old Rachel Roth smiled at herself as she glanced in the square purple mirror in her locker. Her parents gave in and finally let her dye purple streaks in her long black hair. Though it made her peach skin look paler, the color brought out her blue-almost violet eyes and went well with her blue and white striped cheer leading uniform.

"Hey girl, are you ready?" her best friend, Brittany, asked, closing her locker beside Rachel's.

"I'll meet you in class," Rachel answered, applying purple lipstick on her lips. "I just have to make sure I look good for the guys."

Brittany rolled her eyes. "You always look good, Rach."

Rachel grinned. After one last look in the mirror she grabbed a green book tucked in the corner of the locker titled The World's Greatest Jokes. to put on top of her schoolbooks. She hoped the book can give her material for the comedy club this afternoon.

"Get out of the way, freak!"

Rachel tore her eyes away from her locker to see two of the large football players towering over a boy she'd never seen before. He was about 5'9 and extremely skinny for his age. His clothes were all black with a green swirl pattern on the shirt. Silver chains hung from his pants. He wore a black baseball cap over his straw-colored hair. Usually Rachel stayed away from the goth kids in school, but here was something about him that intrigued her for some reason.

"HEY!" Rachel shouted at the jocks as they knocks the books out of the goth boy's hands. "Leave him alone!"

"What's up with you, Roth," one of the jocks sneered. "Hanging out with losers now?"

Rachel slammed her locker shut hard to show she meant business. "I mean it, Alex. Leave him alone!"

The two boys, uncomfortable by the glare Rachel was giving them shuffled off to class.

BRIIIIING!

Rachel ignored the morning bell. "Are you okay," she asked, kneeling down to the goth boy's level.

"Fine," he grunted. He was too busy gathering the papers scattered on the floor to look at her.

"Don't worry about Alex and Deon. They're more brawn than brains."

He ignored her. That didn't bother Rachel in the slightest. She was used to bringing people out of their shell. She grabbed a black leather book that the boy had dropped. It had slipped underneath the water fountain. "The Raven. So you're a fan of Edgar Allen Poe, huh? I always thought he was creepy."

At last the boy looked up and met eyes with Rachel. Immediately Rachel noticed how green his eyes were. It was like looking into a lush forest. "I don't think he's creepy. He's different. Just like me," his voice was monotone.

Rachel couldn't take her eyes away from his. There was something about them that seemed so familiar. In fact everything about this boy gave her the feeling like she had known him for years. But that's impossible. She had never met him before. "D-do I know you?"

The boy shook his head. "I don't think so. I just moved here from Gotham."

Rachel got onto her feet and offered her hand to help him up. "Welcome to Jump City High. I'm Rachel."

The boy hesitated for a second, then took her hand. A spark shot through Rachel traveling all the way up her arm, then back down again. "Mark."

"Nice to meet you, Mark." An uncomfortable silence passed between them once they let go of each other's hands. Rachel could feel her heart pounding hard in her chest. For the first time she felt a real attraction towards someone. She had to get to know him. "So listen," Rachel said after a moment. "I'm going to the comedy club after school. You should come with me. I've got some new jokes I want to try out. Who knows, I might get you to laugh."

Mark raised an eyebrow, his eyes never leaving Rachel's. She knew that he sensed the unknown connection between them too. He hesitated at first, then his lips lifted in half of a smile. Rachel thought she saw what looked like a fang, but she must've been mistaken. "All right. You're on."

Rachel smiled then headed to class. Little did she know that two soul mates who have been searching for each other for years had finally found each other again.
