Shadow the Hedgehog was sitting at a table with his arms crossed "So, you think you can outsmart me, huh? You think you can stop the wrath of the mighty Drill". He moved a piece on a board game he was playing with a very young Silver. He laughed and smiled smugly "Your move". Silver moved one of his pieces and knocked the Drill away "Ha, I got him". He picked up the drill and pretended it was flying "Ah! Oh, no". Shadow calmly watched before smirking "But you left your leader exposed. My Burst takes your chief". Silver stopped playing with the piece got upset "But I love my chief" he crossed his arms not wanting to play anymore. Shadow rolled his eyes and held out the chief piece "It's okay. You can have him back". Silver tried to take it but Shadow pretended to drop it confusing Silver. Shadow pointed at him "Just remember to use the mind…". He opened his hand revealing the piece "Before the sword" he gave him the piece and rubbed his head.
On a foggy night out at sea on a massive ship dozens of cages held Wisp. One of the wisps moaned from being in such a cramped cage. An echidna crewman hit the cage "Quiet!". He then noticed something in the fog, a figure with long quills. The figure glowed cyan revealing it to be Silver. The echidna stared at him "What are you?" "Shh". The echidna charged and tried to strike him with a spear. Silver dodged and threw the echidna back. As he did the echidna dropped his lantern setting the floor on fire. The echidna watched as Silver walked through the fire with the flames moving to let him pass "Ahhh! You're a demon!". Silver rolled his eyes "Seriously, shh. I'm just a guy. Just a guy here to rescue some wisps, so-" "But you walked through fire!" "I just moved them. I'm possessed by a-". The Echidna backed away "Possessed by a demon! No hedgehog has quill like that". He turned to run but Shard in his robotic form landed in front of him "Think that's a good entrance? Get a load of me" his arm cannon was on fire "Ah!" he started bashing his cannon on the floor trying to put the fire out. The Echidna screamed "Ah, robot demon!". Silver sighed "No, it's really just a nitwit who forgets his arm cannon overheats". Jet landed on his blue board with Wave behind him "Behold, your worst nightmare" "Behold" "Along with his sister, who insisted on coming". Wave took out her wrench "That's my intro". Silver was getting frustrated "Guys, too soon. You always come in too soon". Rotor suddenly crashed in front of Silver "Rotor!" "Sorry, Boomer is still sick".
The echidna screamed "Demons everywhere! It's the end of the world" he ran to an alarm but Blaze suddenly flew above him and kicked him into a metal bar knocking him out. Silver smirked "Blaze, I had him right where I wanted them" "And now he's right where I wanted him. Let's get to work". Silver looked to the others "Okay, we screwed that up but at least nobody else knows we're here". They started opening the cages. Silver approached a scared Frenzy with it's jaw clamped shut "Easy, girl. It's okay. We're gonna get you out of here". Rotor opened another cage and was amazed by the Wisp "A Crimson Hawk. Ah!" he screamed in excitement. Wave meanwhile was pulling one of the bars "Why can't I get this cage open!" "It slides" Blaze pulled the latch and opened it. Wave rolled her eyes "Obviously" "Attack!" they hear someone yell. Silver got ready "Get the rescues out of here" "Get the Laser". Blaze and Silver fought off the guards as the others opened the rest of the cages. One got past and was about to attack an unsuspecting Wave but Jet grabbed the mace out of his hand "No running on the deck. It's slippery". Shard blasted past them knocking the guard down. He charged into a group "Let me handle the tough guy stuff". Jack took control of his arm and blasted two behind Shard which he didn't notice. The other guards ran in fear "Yeah, all me!". Silver and Blaze fight back to back "I thought this was supposed to be a stealth mission" "Yeah, they always start that way". Someone rushed up behind Blaze with their axe ready but Blaze shot up into the sky "Thanks, Nao!". Tikal and Distler were watching from a mast. Distler stared at her "Oh, stop worrying. They'll get it… Eventually". Silver opened the final cage "Alright, that's all of them. Move out". The Wisps took control of their hosts and made them fly away "Amateurs! I was just getting started". Silver was the last one, he was about to run off the side of the ship when he suddenly stopped "Huh, Cyzer? What is it? We got to go, bud". Silver had control back and he kept running not noticing a pair of eyes shining from one of the cages. Silver turned to come face to face with a group of guards "Uh, hey, guys. Sorry about this". A glowing crate flew in from behind and knocked them all down. Silver laughed as he flew away "You always have my back, bud".
Now morning the group were flying back to Onyx with the group of Wisps they freed. As they flew over the ocean a massive swarm of wisps rose above Onyx in a beautiful formation. Silver looked back at the freed Wisps "This is Onyx. Your new home away from home. A stunning one stop, all expense paid dream destination. Settle in and let your worries melt away". He led them past a stall holding piles of fish, then they passed a large wooden nest "Any run of the mill paradise boasts beaches and sunshine". Dozens of Wisps were hovering around the streets with many possessed Onyx citizens walking in between them "Well, not us. We've got something no one else can touch. We my friends… Have wisps. Lots and lots of Wisps". They set down the new Wisps in a clearing "Gang, meet out latest citizens". Villagers came up to the Wisps holding fish "How are you, mate" "Well, aren't you a beauty". Shard landed with a smug look "Your welcome. Took down like 100 trappers. No, no. 1000 trapper" "All while your arm was on fire" Wave joked. Shard went over to Tikal "Well, let's ask the Wisp Lady. So, how were we? Pretty much perfect?". Tikal sarcastically nodded "Oh, it was indescribable. And it's Tikal. Wisp Lady isn't really special anymore" she glances at an old mongoose walking by with 20 wisps crowding her. Shard looked back to the others grinning "You see. Indescribable" he pointed at himself Silver rolled his eyes "I think the real hero of the day was Cyzer".
Cyzer jumped out of Silver who hugged him "Isn't that right, bud? What would we do without you, O King of Wisps? What would we do?" "We could train a lot harder, for one. That was pretty sloppy" Blaze said. Tikal came over chuckling "Blaze, uh, does have a point. Perhaps you all rely a little bit too much on your Wisps and not enough on one another". Shard nodded in agreement "Yeah, guys, you really gotta catch up with me". Rotor landed and a baby drill came up to him "Spark". It nuzzled against his leg before going up to one of the new Quakes. The quake had fun and started shaking causing the whole island to quake. Suddenly one of the buildings nearby started to collapse causing a domino affect on more. Wisps scattered from the buildings as the final building fell into the water. Omega suddenly barged up to Silver "What good is a King of Wisps if he can't keep the order?". Silver cringed "Uh, bud". Cyzer nodded before releasing a burst of energy that got the attention of the quake who bowed. Omega stared at the new arrivals "I'm not building more homes for these ones" "We'll make room". Omega then spotted a Jade Wisp and he uncharacteristically rushed behind Silver "You brought another Jade" "What?" "They produce Hyper go on energy. It's deadly to machines", Silver laughed at him. Tikal approached the Jade "Nonsense. Omega. That's a rumour". She gently picked it up and examined it "No injuries. They're all a little bit shaken, but otherwise healthy. Now, who's hungry?".
