Ch. 16: The Magic of Friendship

As the girls shielded their eyes from the flash, they looked out and saw Sunset Shimmer has turned into a literal demon, with the crown showing some dark magic.

Sunset laughs maniacally as she shouts to the heavens, "To quote an early eighties guy, I HAVE THE POWER!" With that she shot a beam into the sky.

Soon after that, Sunset turned Snips and Snails into demons as well. Then she went to the school and made an opening that broke the entire school entrance and as she entered the school, the students begin scattering and screaming in horror.

However, one snap of Sunset's fingers and instantly, the teenagers and adults within the school end up as mindless zombies under her hypnotic control. Sunset goes over the the hole in the wall that she made and sees Twilight and her friends standing firm.

"Do you ever give up?" asked an annoyed Sunset.

"Not on your life!" shouted Sunset.

Rolling her eyes, Sunset unleashed a huge solar beam to Twilight and her friends.

Sunset smirked, certain that she prevailed, only too see that Twilight and her friends are being protected by a magical shield.

"What the (bleep)!" said Fluttershy.

"The magic from my crown," said Twilight in realization, "It must be protecting us."

Before Sunset could strike again, Twilight and her friends banded together and unleashed a blinding light.

Soon after, the girls turned into pony-human hybrids, each corresponding with what type of pony Twilight's friends back in Equestria.

"The crown may be on your head, Sunset Shimmer, but you clearly don't have the kind of magic to power it up. Which is the magic of friendship!"

With that, the girls magically shot a rainbow at the demon Sunset and soon enough, the magic caused everybody she's zombified to be turned back to normal.

Just then, another blinding light happened and after which, the students and faculty saw the pony-human girls safely floating down to the ground.

After Spike jumped into Twilight's arms, causing her to hug him, they both saw a crater within the ground.

Getting up, Twilight peeked in the crater and saw Sunset, back to her human self, shuddering with defeat on the ground, looking disheveled.

"To put things in a nutshell you won't ever rule Equestria, everybody has seen the true you, etcetera, etcetera.

Sunset gets up and has tears in her eyes, and begins sobbing while saying in Japanese, with subtitles down below saying, "I'M SO SORRY! I ACTED LIKE A COMPLETE *****!"

"Y'know," said Twilight as she helped Sunset up out of the crater, "If you want to learn the magic of friendship and turn your life around, I bet these gals help you." She motioned to her friends.

Spike howled in happiness as Rarity came to rub his head.

Twilight felt someone poke her elbow and saw Principal Celestia handing her crown with a deadpan look on his face.

"Just for the record, my low IQ made me immune to the magical brainwashing." said Principal Celestia dully.

Twilight takes the crown and the crowd around her and her friends cheer for her.

Flash suddenly comes by and twirls Twilight around before kissing her on the lips.

Twilight got a loopy grin as Flash broke the fourth wall, "Hey, it never happened in the real franchise. This may as well be the closest thing Flashlight fans will receive."
