In the past a young Silver was playing in the woods. He was swinging a wooden sword "You see that, Dad. This ones a monstrous Quake. And this ones a deadly Burst. Not as deadly as me though". Shadow laughed "Not nearly as monstrous either". Silver ran ahead swinging his sword when he stopped. In front of him on the ground was a little injured Flicky. He kneeled down and stared at it "Uh, what's wrong with him, Dad". Shadow kneeled down next to him and saw it had an injured wing. He sighed "He fell from his nest and broke its wing. It's very sad. But these things happen, son. The right thing to do is end its suffering". He stared at Silver "Go head on down the path". Silver got to his feet "No, Dad! No" "Silver" "Can't we help him? He's little like me. Can we help him get better" he begged. Shadow looked between Silver and the bird guilty "Fetch me a twig". Silver nodded "Okay" he ran over to a log and broke off one of the twigs. Shadow took the twig and gave the Flicky to Silver "Hold him very carefully". Silver gently held him with both hands as Shadow made a makeshift splint with the twig and some string. He put it around the bird's wing "He's your responsibility now son. You must feed him and care for him until he's able to fly free and return to the wild". Silver looked down at the flicky and smiled "I will, Dad, I promise".
In the present at night Silver was sleeping in his tent with the book over his face. Cyzer slept next to him but suddenly woke up and pushed him off the bed "Cyzer, no, it's too early". Cyzer went out of the tent and saw the bushes shifting. Utako revealed herself and Cyzer happily celebrated. Utako got mad as he was drawing attention. She then slithered away with Cyzer following out of the camp with Silver noticing. Utako started flying but Cyzer was forced to follow her from the ground until she landed beside a large lake. Cyzer held his head up trying to look cool but then he tripped and rolled down the sandy hill. He got back up and smiled at her but she just stayed stood still. Silver made it and watched from behind a bush. Utako started doing some kind of dance in the sand before lying down and waiting for Cyzer to do something. He looked up at Silver who used his hands to mimic what Cyzer should do. Cyzer not understanding waved his tail around like a lasso and then watched Utako who was not satisfied. Silver gave him new instructions. Cyzer turned cyan and circled her which just seemed to scare her. She used her tail to stop him and then she flew away and hung upside down on a tree. Cyzer climbed up the tree and looked at Silver who kept shaking his head. Cyzer ignored him and shook the tree to get her attention but the branch snapped and he fell off. He decided to try something else, he flew just above the sand and burnt it with his powers to make a drawing. Utako could see it from above and saw that it was her face. Silver rolled his eyes "Oh, now you can draw". Utako dropped down and touched the drawing making Cyzer growled. She growled back which stopped him and then they calmly approached each other. Utako smiled and then flew away gesturing for him to follow her. He tried to but fell out of the sky into the water. Silver sighed feeling guilty before thinking of something.
The next day Silver was in a makeshift workshop working on a machine with blueprints on the walls. Blaze saw them "Oh, someone hasn't slept" "Yeah, well Utako won't let me within a mile of her and neither of us will be getting any sleep of find the portal until Cyzer takes over". Blaze examined the device he was making "You tried this once before, he didn't want it" "Well, until now he didn't need a reason to, right bud?". He noticed Blaze staring at him "What?" "Nothing, I'm impressed. I mean, look at you. Embracing change. I'm proud of you" "Well, he's my best bud. I want him to be happy. And besides it's just until he brings her back". He casually kissed her and picked up the device. Blaze watched him clearly worried but she smiled. Silver approached Cyzer "Alright, bud, hold still". Rutan watched them and saw Cyzer shaking "Well, someone's excited" "He's fresh off his first date. Now he's love crazed. He just needs to fly without me". The device looked like a tiny wisp sized harness. He put it around Cyzer's body "Alright, bud, this should cycle the energy back before they cause the blasts. Try it out". Cyzer shot a laser through a rock and came back no problem. Silver laughed "Alright, bud, good job. Now, bring her home by sundown at the latest". Cyzer hugged him before turning black and licking his face "Agh, no, save it for your girlfriend. Go on! Get out of here". Cyzer flew upwards about to go over the trees when he stopped and looked down at Silver. He gave him an approving nod "It's okay". Cyzer hesitantly shot away at high speed.
Tikal was flying through the fog. She started to feel like somehting was wrong but she didn't understand, she was still at least an hour away from ONy. She flew lower to tryu and get under the fog until finding the fleet of Wisp Trappers heading in the direction of the new camp "Oh, no". She kept flying when two Nega Wisps attacked her. She tried to avoid them but they were two fast "Go, Distler". Distler took control of her and flew away. The Nega's gave chase but they heard Kragok's whistle telling them to let her go.
Cyzer flew above the clouds and waited for a sign of Utako. There was a loud whooshing sound and she suddenly rose out of a cloud underneath her. Cyzer showed off that he could fly one his own. They started flying together and she led him into a large cloud. She glowed brighter and shot forward with her powers bending the light around her making her invisible. She returned and watched him. Cyzer tried but when he shot forward he was still visible. He tried again this time his eyes were closed trying to concentrate but still nothing. He opened his eyes and got disappointed. He saw Utako nodding to him encouragingly. He focused and glowed blindingly bright before shooting forward and disappearing. He returned and started to fall being exhausted. Utako nudged him making him wake up. He flew over her, turned black to lick her face and then quickly turned cyan again to keep in the air. They dropped down and fly above the ocean and Utako led him to a large circular formation of rocks covered by a cloud of fog. They flew through the cloud and found that inside the circle was a blue portal. Utako suddenly wrapped her tail around Cyzer and forced him to dive into it.
The Onyx were throwing a party "To the chief! TO THE CHIEF!". The threw Silver up repeatedly "Okay, guys, no I'm getting sick" they put him down. He laughed before leaning on Omega trying to hold it in. Omega patted his back "I will be honest, I thought this decision was illogical, but this is an acceptable new home" "It was supposed to be temporary". He looked around worried "Oh, what if his harness broke. What if Kragok found him? What if he needs me?" "You shouldn't worry. Organics enjoy this part" "How would I know? She never comes around, and when she does, she's always rushing off. I mean how do we know if she's right for us". Omega stared at him "Us?" "You know what I mean. She's so wild and skittish. I'm just gonna say it. I don't trust her". Omega suddenly got behind Silver "What?". Omega pointed at ten Jades they keep multiplying. I think they want to eat me" "Are you scared?" "No. I'm… just programmed to survive". He rushed away as Jet led Silver away "Silvy, a word. I've been watching you walk. Lose the limp. No one's gonna marry that" "I have a robotic leg" "Yeah, an I have a parasitic twin but you don't see me limping around". Before Silver could reply he heard a crash. He ran back to the party and saw Tikal struggling to stand "Mum, what is it? You okay?" "I don't know how but Kragok is tracking us. He has 100 ships, maybe more, with enough cages for all out Wisps". Silver tried to think "If he is leading them here we have to take him out of the mix. We have to capture him".
