At night a young Silver came down stairs and saw Shadow sitting by the fire. He could hear sniffing "Dad?". Shadow quickly turned around with a blank expression "Son". He wiped his face and sighed "You should be asleep" "I was thirsty". Shadow nodded and held out his hand "Alright, come here". Silver came over and Shadow put him on his lap. He gave Silver the fire poker and helped him stoke it "Dad? Are you gonna get us a new mum?". Shadow was surprised but quickly hugged him tight and kissed his head "I don't want another. Your Mum was the only woman for me. She was the love of my life. But with love comes loss, son. It's part of the deal. Sometimes it hurts, but, in the end, it's all worth it". He looked him in the eye "There's no better gift than love".
Silver flew over the ocean feeling Cyzer's frustrations. They landed in the forest near the camp where new buildings were in the middle of being constructed. Blaze quickly left Silver and Cyzer alone. Cyzer left Silver and the two faced each other. Silver struggled to speak "It's okay, bud. You belong there, with her. We don't… And that's alright". He held his face "We'll find a way to man-". Cyzer suddenly raised his head and looked at the grass nearby. Utako suddenly revealed herself making Silver grin "Hey!". Cyzer licked his face and went over to her. Blaze returned and they watched the two Wisps playing in the grass "She followed us back. We might not have to say goodbye after all". Cyzer returned to Silver and Utako slowly did as well. Silver looked hopeful "That's it" "Whoo!". They both jumped in fright and turned to see Wave land "Wave" Blaze said in confusion. She raised her hands "Miss me?" "How did you escape" "I annoyed them till they let me go. Go Wave. Go Wave". Silver eyes widen "Wait, Kragok let you go? Wave, were you followed" "I never look back, Silver". Silver gasped "Cyzer". Utako suddenly smelled something and quickly flew up but was shot by a dart. Cyzer ran to where she landed and came face to face with Kragok who immediately shot him with a blast that knocked him out. Silver ran as fast as he could "No!". Kragok tied chains to the two Wisps that were then pulled up by Kragok's hovercraft. Kragok climbed to the top of the hovercraft "And now our little game must come to an end, Chief". He then saw the whole of the Onyx Wisp swarm coming for him. He laughed "Call them off, Alpha".
His arm released a sound which made Utako scream. Cyzer quickly screeched and all the Wisps came to a stop. The Negas hovered close to Cyzer who tried to order them but "Save your breath. The only Alpha they respond to is me". He looked down at Silver and the others "Don't feel too badly. You did your best. But you are nothing without your wisps". His hovercraft started to head away from the island and all the Wisps followed him. Silver watched open mouthed "No. No! Cyzer!" he ran to the edge of the island and saw the swarm heading straight for the fleet of wisp trappers. The others watched Silver "So what do we do?" "Are going after them?" "You gotta have a plan?" the all said over each other. Tikal nudged Blaze "He'll listen to you". Blaze went up to Silver who shook his head "Don't say it" "I wasn't going to" "I shouldn't have dragged you out there. He wouldn't have flown me back. She wouldn't have followed". He grunts in frustration "I feel like the same screw up I was before I met Cyzer" "I can see that". Silver finally turned to face her "Are you just going to stand there and agree with everything I say" "Well, you're right. You're back to where you started, but I was the first to believe in you. And I watched you doubt whether you're worthy ever since. But you know what? I am the person I am today because of you. I've never told you that, but its true. You are the bravest, most stubborn, most determined… Knucklehead I know. Cyzer didn't give you that, Silver, he just made it…". Silver realised "Easier" "And now it's going to be a lot harder. So, what're you going to do about it?". Silver started to smile "Probably something stupid" "That's the Silver I know". Silver kissed her cheek before turning to the others "Suit up, gang. We're going to get them back". Shard cheered "YEAH! That's our chief". Jet hugged Silver "Now that's marriage material. At last, faithful pupil, you are ready". Rotor tapped his shoulder "Uh, how are we going to get out Wisps back without Wisps?" "Trust me".
The swarm was brought to the ships "Alright, Alpha, no surprises!" Kragok ordered. Cyzer told all the Wisps to calmly get into cages without harming the trappers. They did do what he told them but that didn't mean they weren't scared.
The group stood on the cliff, Wave looked nervous "So, your plan is to jump of the cliff. That's the best you've got" "No, you guys are the best I've got" "Aw. I'm with him! Who Else!". Jet got angry "That's my line!" "Guys, let's go". Silver turned his bracelets powering himself up and he lifted them all up "Ah, this is weird!" Rotor yelled. Silver leaped off the cliff and flew towards the fleet bringing his friends with him.
Cyzer was getting lowered onto one of the ships with a group of trappers circling him. He looked up at Utako who tried to break free and help him. Suddenly though Cyzer stopped and Kragok pointed his arm at him "No, sorry, you're not getting the Laser". The War Lords looked up at him "We had a deal!" "He's my kill. You can have the others. But good luck controlling him without the Alpha" "KRAGOK!". Silver flew in and he launched his friends onto the ships. He then hit Kragok off the hovercraft but me managed to grab onto one of the ropes and started climbing back up. Silver's turned off his bracelets and he crashed into a sail "Cyzer!". Cyzer screeched and all the Wisps burst out of the cages. Silver joined the others "Alright, guys, game faces". They all activated their new bracelets. Wave and Jet made constructs of their fans and wrench. Blaze's hand lit on fire, Shard got his metal arm with a cannon and Rotor got his suit. They blew through the trappers easily. Cyzer managed to get his arm free from the trap and saw that Kragok was about to fire at him. He shot a laser forcing Kragok to move out of the way. The hovercraft started to tip. Blaze and Silver worked together to take out two trappers on a bridge "Thanks" they both said before facing each other. Silver casually picked up a barrel of oil and threw it over the bridge onto another ship. Blaze, still look at him, threw a fire ball at the barrel causing an explosion that destroyed the ship. Silver laughed before flying up to the hovercraft but a Nega shot him out of the sky "Ah!". He grabbed onto the hovercraft just as he lost all his energy "I'm coming Cyzer!". There was one Hover wisp holding the craft up on its side. Kragok was holding onto the chain trapping Utako "You still think he cares about you". He put a syringe of the venom into Utako "Let's just see who he follows". He freed her and forced her to possess him. He flew away with Cyzer screaming after him. Silver slid down the chain to Cyzer "I'm sorry, bud… for everything". The hover wisp was getting exhausted and the craft started spinning out of control. Just before they hit the water Silver freed Cyzer. Silver now fully powered burst out of the water "Let's go, bud". Shard, Rotor, Wave and Jet were freeing the few remaining Wisps that couldn't escape their electric cages. The War Lords were about to stop them but Omega, Tikal and Rutan landed in front of them with their Wisps returned "Sorry, we're late for the party" Rutan said. The Lords all took out weapons "You're right on time".
