In the Coliseum of the Antarctic Base…
Alexia Ashford.
That awful woman, she pinned him to a column with a giant axe while giggling with delight at the pain she would inflict on him.
"My, are you an interesting one? Betrayed by your father, lost your mother, locked away in a prison of interesting creatures, kidnapped once more… and now you will become one with the Veronica Virus. You should be so fortunate to be blessed with such a gift, to be my new knight in shining armor." She giggled with a syringe in her hand.
No.
No, he won't be like them!
He struggled to remove the axe from his throat as she drew ever more painfully close. Her smile, that of a devil as her poison glistened by the light of the torch! She made it more twisted as she lowered the needle to the ear.
"Just relax and enjoy."
The virus then entered him through his ear.
The Veronica Virus was inside him. He was going to turn into a monster! He was going to be like them! This isn't how he wanted it to end! He wanted to see Claire just one more time!
Claire.
Claire.
Claire.
That is who he thought about as his life flashed before his eye. He wanted to see the only person her had left, the one who freed him…
No! He won't give in! He won't be a mindless puppet to this Bitch! He will see Claire again, he'll kill Alexia for what she did! He'll see another sunrise!
"What are you doing? Give in! Give in! Forget about that little wretch! Belong to me! You are my toy!"
His body was changing! He could feel it and his mind was altering, but not a slave to her, no. He would never betray Claire. He'll rip off the head of Alexia!
"You horrible thing! How dare you defy me? Obey your queen! Obey your Veronica!"
RRRRROOOOOAOAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRR!
The transformation was complete and thanks to her, he had a nice little weapon to take her head with.
"ALEXIA ASHFORD, YOU WILL PAY!" The mutant snarled as the vines began to attack him!
He began to slash the vines into pieces as his heart was burning with rage! The howling pain of the one who transformed him was most pleasant!
"You horrible wretch! Fine, I don't need to sully my hands with a brute like you! I can leave you to my pets!"
The vines retreated as the giant soon found him surrounded by monsters, spiders, lizards, and other terrifying things.
He growled at them and swung his axe!
Near the Entrance of the Coliseum of the Antarctic Base…
Claire was in a panic while Chris tried to keep her calm.
"He's going to be okay. Your friend is tough. I'm sure we'll find him." Chris tried to assure but it did little to comfort her.
"What if she's killed him, or turned him into a zombie-?"
"You can't worry about that stuff now. Only keep pushing forward until you find the truth. Come on, Steve is waiting for us and so is Ashford."
Claire nodded as they were about to enter… when they were forced to duck as parts of a giant came flying out! They crash onto the floor, still burning and gushing fluid!
"What the hell is that?" Chris gasped as his sister was just as shocked!
RRRRROOOOOAOAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRR!
"I think that we were in the middle of something." She uttered as they could hear cries and roars from within.
They carefully witnessed a giant, reptilian creature killing the other mutants who were attacking it! Chris got his gun out and was ready to kill it if it decided to turn its attention to them!
They were so focused on the brutality; they didn't notice a monster behind them! The beast turned its head around and leaped! Chris was ready to fire but it moved past him and savagely attacked the creature!
"What the hell?" Chris gasped, shocked that they weren't being attacked, not even on its radar.
Which was admittedly a little insulting.
"It's not interested in us; it wants the mutants!" Claire realized as the creature completed destroying the other mutant!
"ALEXIA ASHFORD, I'LL KILL YOU!" It declared as if its face was fully seen.
"Steve." She gasped.
"That's Steve?" Chris questioned as the creature pushed past them to attack the other monsters again.
"Steve, Steve it's me! Steve!" Claire called out but Chris tried to stop her.
"Claire, don't get too close to it!" He warned his sister.
"No, he's in there! He needs my help!" Claire struggled until she broke free from her brother to the person, she loves side.
RRRRROOOOOAOAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRR!
"Steve, Steve can you hear me? It's me! Claire!" She called out as Steve finally stopped his rampage.
"C-Claire?" He asked, looking at the girl.
"Yes, it's me. I've been looking all over for-."
"LOOK OUT!" Both Claire and Steve shouted as she shot the monster behind him, and he squished the one behind her.
"Reunion later, let's kill these things now!" Chris advised as he unleashed fire on the zombies and monsters.
Steve and Claire fought together as they laid to waste their enemies until the room of silent. Steve held Claire close to his heart.
"What happened?" She asked her beloved.
"Ashford, she did this to me. She pinned me with this axe and injected me with the V-virus. I hate her, I wanted to kill her, and she sicked her pets on me." He admitted as Chris got closer.
"Are you… All in there?" Chris carefully questioned the giant.
"I-I think so. I felt the virus spread inside me, but I refused to forget, to let her make me a puppet."
"Such a naughty thing. Even after I made him better, he still wanted to turn on me. So ungrateful…"
"I'll show you how grateful when I shove a grenade up your-!" Claire snarled.
"How vile? I still don't see why he loves you so much when he could've had me…. Oh well. No use crying over spilled milk."
The vines soon appeared as Claire and Chris hopped on Steve's back, causing him to dodge the vines and slice through them!
"The other man who is with you… he is your brother. I had a brother once, we played so many sweet games but then he couldn't play along anymore. So, I relieved him of his duties."
"You think we're just a bunch of toys for you to play with? But you're wrong!"
"We'll see. You three have been the most fun so far. Come see me soon, I'll be waiting…"
Just as they were about to make it to safety, one of the vines slashed one of Steve's legs, then he skidded on the floor until he hit a wall!
"Steve, are you okay?" She gasped as they hopped off him, then watched as he slowly turned back into a human, only lighter skinned and slit reptilian eyes.
"I think she grazed me." He sharply inhaled but then realized he turned back.
Chris took a look at his leg as Claire grinned to see his face again.
"Claire, the virus is still inside me. Even if I can change back-."
"Don't worry. I'll help you; I promise to never leave you alone." She vowed as the two kissed.
"Yeah, looks like she got you good. You won't be able to face off with her. We'll come back for you after we deal with her." Chris told him.
"What? No, I'm not-!" He began but Claire stopped him.
"If we're in a pickle, then we'll call for you. But right now, you're hurt. You should rest for now. You've been through enough already." Claire coaxed.
Steve was hesitant.
"Promise to come back?"
"I promise."
Steve grinned weakly as he leaned against the wall with his axe, getting some rest.
He didn't know how long he was asleep before he heard footsteps.
"My, aren't you an interesting one? Another Abomination like me." An unfamiliar voice purred, causing him to wake up.
Something was wrong with the man before him, there was this energy like his.
"Who are you?"
The man smiled.
"I am certain your girlfriend told you about me, for I was one of the few who made the T-virus." He smirked at him as Steve realized.
"Wesker." He gasped.
"Yes."
He felt himself changing back into the creature as he grabbed his axe!
"What do you want?" He snarled at the man chuckling.
"Blood, yours. I was going to take some from her, but she was busy playing."
Steve howled as he attacked the man, who was just as strong as him, even stronger! He managed to flip him on his back and pinned him before taking a large syringe of blood from him!
"Nicely done."
Wesker grinned as Steve got up, ready to fight.
"Now, now, if I wanted to kill you, I would have done so. I want you to send a message to your friends. Tell them that Wesker was here and it's not over."
Before Steve could attack again, he heard Claire scream! He looked back to Wesker but then rushed off with his axe to save Claire.
"Hope we meet again soon, Brother of the Virus."
Later after defeating Alexia at a base at TerraSave…
Scientists were looking over to the latest discovery as Steve was laying on a table in his human form, holding Claire's hand.
"Remarkable." A scientist spoke.
"What is it?" Chris questioned with arms crossed.
"This boy, his unique DNA doesn't get overrun by the virus like the others, the cells don't die. They consumed. The Virus has integrated into him in ways we didn't think were possible. It's marvelous." He answered.
"So, he'll be, okay?"
"We believe so. Best we keep an eye on him though. Despite him having control over the virus, there is the change in aggression and more… shall we say primal elements into his system."
Chris then looked at his sister.
"What will happen to him?"
"He'll have to be drafted and continually studied and examined. There is still a lot we don't know, and it may be in our best interest to keep him comfortable."
"You guys may not know, but I have a feeling Wesker does."
