On the top of the original Mount Olympus there lies a boy with black hair and sea-green eyes with normally held love, adoration and a bit of sass, but now they hold anger and power. No one can see it though as his eyes were closed however everyone on the battlefield can feel the power radiating from his body – a very human body yet one could feel as if this was a god of war ready to unleash his wrath on his enemies. He is ready for his final battle against the Earth mother or at least he wants this to be his final battle as he is very tired, both physically and mentally. Win or lose he wants to hang up his boots as to say. Either he returns a hero killing the goddess with power over the entire earth or he dies trying. Either way, he thinks, this is a good end as he knows, he has put up enough good karma against his scales to have a good (or at least reasonable) afterlife. Well, that is if the underworld survives this battle. His name is Perseus Achilles Jackson and this is the story about the boy that defiled fate. But please, call him Percy.

We can start this story anywhere in his 17 years on this earth – yes the same earth he is about to fight right now, but you probably already read about him. He's well known in the realm of gods, and yes I mean gods of all pantheons. Everyone knows about the kid who fought Alecto – the fury of endless anger herself in his very first battle at the tender age of 12 or about when he killed the Minotaur with his bare hands or… you get the point. All in all, he has done stuff and people knew of the stuff he has done.

Well, we have to start somewhere right, so let's start when the world was ending because why not, the world was ending. Our hero along with the remaining seven and a small demigod army from camp half blood have reached the original Mount Olympus and started fighting the Giants – offsprings of Gaea and Tartarus, the latter still left him unnerved about what happened in the Pit but that's a story for another time. Well, you see there are few problems when fighting Giants, for one they are, you know giants and would crush you beneath their feet if given the opportunity, then there is the pesky problem with their fate/immortality, that they can only be killed by a mortal and immortal working together. Normally this wouldn't be a problem for demigods if you can get one of your parents to come and help you. But now you see Zeus – the king of god, has adopted a brand new war strategy straight from the brain of an ostrich: bury your head under the sand and hope the problem goes away. So, to say the least, the war is going horribly.

When all seems to be lost, the cavalry has arrived like Virginia (sorry), anyway joining the fight was none other than the King of the Sea, Poseidon, father to our hero. Like he always loves to say "The sea doesn't like to be restrained", and the thunder god tried to do it anyways. And now the sea is furious. Joining his son the sea god turns the tide in favour of the gang, both literally and figuratively. All of a sudden huge waves are battering the monsters and giants on top of the mountain, – how was it possible, no one knows. But all the heroes were relieved nonetheless. Now they have a way to kill the giants.

On top of all the noise, of the battle and waves, a maniacal, almost sinister laugh was heard. Almost everyone from both sides had their hearts skip a beat with fear when this laugh was heard. Almost everyone because both Annabeth and the sea god knew the voice and they could never be afraid of that person. With a booming voice, Percy looking at the giants and said, "You guys are fucked now.. hahahhaa", and pointed at his father, who had a similar maniacal grin as his son and started walking towards Percy.

The father and son, now side by side, started running towards the monstrous giant army, everyone on both sides of the battlefield were awestruck looking at the duo, who for all instances and purposes looked like identical twins, one just somehow older than the other. No one had moved an inch. The earthshaker and his offspring a millisecond behind him, let out a war cry, inciting fear in the toughest minds of the enemy forces and allies alike. The very earth shook under their feet as they ran, making their names a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The very agile son of the sea god was the first to reach the front lines and started hacking his way towards the heart of the battle. Every second, all around him, monsters fell to his blade. He was showered with golden dust as he ploughed through everything that stood in front of him. If looked from above, which the remaining gods were doing, the scene looked like an angel of biblical proportions with golden wings flying through the enemy lines but there was no angel on the ground, no, there was only the devil incarnate himself, or maybe there was an angel if there was, it was probably the angel of death and destruction. Hellhounds, dracaenae, empousae, telchines, nothing withstood his wrath. Soon there was a stampede of monsters trying and failing to flee him. As they walked back stomping, scratching and clawing their brethren to get out of the way of the destroyer. Like his moniker's origins, Perseus can be both a destroyer or an avenger and in this particular instance, there was only a destroyer.

To his side there was another wave of destruction raging through the sea of monsters, figuratively mind you, the literal sea of monsters was very far from here. Not to be outdone by his pipsqueak, the Stormbringer was blasting every monster in his wake with high-pressure water from his trident which immediately turned the said monster into a golden slushy. Every demigod on the battleground was watching the sea god with many emotions like fear, happiness, relief, anger and a bit of jealousy. Fear as they are witnessing the god's power, albeit second hand, happiness as the tide of the battle is turned in their favour, and relief as this god and offspring were on their side. The other two emotions are because of the misconception among the half-bloods that god cannot help them with monsters due to ancient laws, which is, to say the least, very untrue. See the law only states that you cannot interfere *much* in mortal life, but the monsters by the way of Tartarus were immortal and therefore, a fair game. It's just that many gods and goddesses either choose to ignore their children's prayers or their children forget at their final moments to fail to pray to the gods because of the said misconception. All the demigods are in the light about this now, looking at the sea god tearing through the enemy and they are very angry at their parents. Finally, they are jealous of Percy for the father he has, they all wish their parents were like the sea king.

Meanwhile, father and son have torn through enough of the enemy to reach their first Giant of the night by the name Hippolytos, who was born to oppose Hermes. The giant was both quick on his feet and a trickster, but wasn't very smart or had any forethought for that matter.

He tried to kill Percy by stabbing him when his back was turned, not a great plan. You see the giant's plan had one flaw which proved very fatal for him, the air around the battlefield was at a hundred percent humidity, especially after the sea god's show-off tidal feat. How does this affect the giants' plan I hear you ask, well when there is humidity there is water vapour in the air and both the destroyer and his father knew where every inch of the battlefield was with the tiniest movement. So when the giant tried to stab Percy, the sea god launched this trident towards the said giant with enough force to break through Earth's crust. The trident struck true and passed through the giant clean and headed towards Percy. At that very moment, Percy also turned around and threw his trusty sword Riptide in a circular motion towards the giant's head. The sword cut through the trickster giant's neck like it was doing a 1000c knife challenge. Percy caught the trident and Poseidon caught Riptide and continued culling the monsters like they didn't just tag team manoeuvre a giant.

The trident in the destroyer's hands was like an extension of his arms. Swirling around on the battlefield like he was a figure skater or a ballerina, Percy swept through another unlucky batch of monsters who happened to be in the weapon's long reach. Channelling his inner earthshaker, Percy punched the ground with the weapon producing a localised earthquake that made everyone except him and the original earthshaker lose their footing, in turn making it easier to kill all the monsters. After the astonishing feat, which Percy himself was surprised by, looked at the trident and thought 'I gotta get myself one of these'.

To his side, the sea king was wielding riptide and cutting down every enemy who dared to come near him. The fight now was exhilarating, getting up close and personal with the enemy and then cutting them down while looking them in the eye was very intoxicating for the sea god. He likes this very much, almost too much. He cannot afford to be consumed by the lust for war, not when his beloved son is in the said war with him. He doesn't think that his son will be afraid of him or anything like that. He simply should not be distracted which might cost him dearly. Poseidon and all the water deities liked to trident as it is a weapon of the sea and for him, another reason was the reach of the weapon. Moving towards the destroyer he said, "hey, pipsqueak, here, you take the little one" and threw the sword to his son and got this trusty trident back. Then Percy yelled, "Hey, old man, you are not half bad with a sword". All the eyes on the ground snapped back and forth between son and father as they conversed as if they were in a friendly spar, not a world-ending war.

The sea god scoffed then said, "Just because I don't use a sword doesn't mean I don't know how to gut a hellhound fifty ways to Sunday, brat. From whom do you think you got your swordsmanship, your pacifist mother?" the sea king sassed. "I can imagine another skill I got from you old man", Percy sassed back. And thus the duo were causally decimating the enemy forces. Finally, the gathered crowd of demigods, took their hand from below their asses that they were sitting on and charged at the almost meek monster army, leaving the father-son duo free to engage the main enemy, the Giants.

The next Giants lucky/unlucky to die for the night were Ephialtes and Otis, born to oppose the drunk god. They are not a match for the wrecking crew of Percy and Poseidon. They were killed immediately as they threw spears at the duo only for them to be redirected at the other twin of the giants. Then it was a matter of decapitation by Riptide and the trident respectively. It didn't even take father and son half the time it took to run towards the giants

to end the said giants. 'And these were the ones that trapped the almighty war god in a jar? *scoff*' though Percy, already moving to his next target.

Then after a few of the no-name smaller giants were killed, they moved to the only female in the giant family, Periboia, born to oppose Aphrodite. 'This was an old one, the giant born to kill the supposedly most beautiful woman on the planet is the ugliest creature I have ever seen. And I saw the telchines', Percy thought. 'Then again a giant born to kill the warmonger is a pacifist, so what do I know'. By the time his internal monologue was completed, his body, on auto-pilot had finished off the giant, and left to his dad to do the honours. Immediately he heard a loud bellow of "NO! DAUGHTER!" from the giant king, "I will avenge you daughter, I WILL KILL YOU, PERSEUS JACKSON IN THE WORST WAY POSSIBLE". "Huh, maybe you giants have more compassion and are more human than I previously thought", Percy answered, "also, don't shout I'm right here, your majesty, the king of ugliness". 'Persassy strikes again' Percy chuckled.

Next Giant, possibly the toughest for the duo, is Polybotes - Bane of Poseidon. As he was made to kill Poseidon, he has the natural advantage over the sea god and his spawn. This is where Annabeth, Percy's girlfriend comes in. She, seeing the giant rush towards Percy and Poseidon, turned invisible by putting on her cap. Now the Earthshaker is locked in a fierce battle to the death with his bane. She quickly formulated a crude plan to take down the giant: if one doesn't have working tendons in one's ankles, then one can't stand, i,e., no stand = no fight. With a quick slice of her drakon sword, she cut the tendons in the giant's right ankle, which had an immediate effect on the giant falling to his knees. Poseidon took advantage of this and thrust his trident vertically down, through the giant's face. Then Annabeth, who is visible now, cut the giant's throat.

Turning to look at the one who helped him take down his bane, Poseidon saw his future daughter-in-law. He sent a blinding smile towards his bane's assailant. The sea god has come to love the daughter of Athena, like his own daughter after his son started dating her. Poseidon never hated wisdom spawns, he could never show his anger towards a parent towards their spawns. At most he felt indifference towards his rival's children. But that was before Percy introduced him to his girlfriend, Annabeth. He could see that his son was very deeply in love with this girl and that was enough for him to put aside any feeling of indifference. When the bovine queen, Hera, kidnapped his son, Annabeth would come to the beach every day for answers. He could see that the girl loved his son as much as his son loved the girl. He wanted to tell the girl where Percy was or take her to him every time, he felt her presence on the beaches of camp half-blood but couldn't do so, as it would put the whole world in danger. At most he could do was to talk to her, console her and provide hope that his son would be found soon. He felt that this girl was what his son needed in his life and knew that one day she would become his daughter-in-law. He started calling her daughter-in-law from that day onwards as she might as well be so. She would always blush and he found the kid to be too adorable and he would tease the girl with his son.

"Hey, daughter-in-law, how is it going", he asked with a smile knowing that his son can also hear him. "W..Whaaa!", Percy sputtered before going back to killing a hellhound who thought he was distracted enough for a quick bite. As expected Annabeth's cheeks were dusted pink. "Lord Poseidon, this is not the time for small talk, if you can't tell your son is getting very distracted right now", Annabeth muttered. "W..What is happening..", Percy kept muttering to

himself. His mind was going blank, thankfully his body was doing the fighting on pure muscle memory alone. His mind went to the worst possible outcomes, and bellowed, "TRITON!! I am going to kill you". Some were in the middle of Atlantis a shiver ran through the crown prince like he was in some sort of invisible but immediate danger.

"See, Lord Poseidon, what you have done!" Annabeth shouted at the sea god, who couldn't decide if he should be smug for out sassing his sassiest son or be worried for his heir to the throne. "Percy, It's not as you think. Your dad is just teasing you! No wonder you are such a seaweed brain", said Annabeth while Poseidon was contemplating his life choices, "And for fuck sake concentrate on the fight seaweed brain". "Whatever you say, wisegirl", Percy shouted back.

Getting back to our main event, which is the fight for the Earth, a couple of giants: Clytius, and Enceladus, banes of goddesses Hecate and Athena respectively, fell to the combined force of the god and demigods. Unbeknownst to the attacking force the Giant king, seeing as he was losing his foothold on the mountain, came up with a cunning plan to cause pain to our protagonist. He asked his brother Thoon, the bane of the fates, to write a fate for Perseus that would have him cause him so much emotional pain. Even the fates were not privy to this fact.

In an attempt to get the upper hand the Giant king tried to get hold of Annabeth and use her as a bargaining chip to make Perseus submit. However, both the son of the sea god and the sea god himself were there to ward off the thunder giant. Surprisingly, they were able to hold him at bay.

What both did not notice was a sneaky giant but smaller than his other brothers, hiding in a tree like a hunter, waiting for the most opportunistic time to attack. This was Orion - Bane of Artemis. And suddenly he found his chance, the daughter of Athena had her back unprotected. Taking a deep breath Orion releases an arrow towards Annabeth with the intent to kill her. Percy felt the arrow as soon as it reached his water-vapour-sensing range. But he was being pressed hard in sword to spear battle by the giant king in front of him though.

Then all of a sudden he understood that the arrow was not for him, but for his beloved. Without thinking, he positioned himself between the hunter's arrow and his girl. He might seem like he has a death wish, which he might (a little bit), but his plan was to divert the arrow with his sword. He was successful, for the most part, but the force behind the arrow was so much that even after deflecting, it graced him on the side. For the umpteenth time, he cursed the cow-faced god queen for tricking him into losing his invulnerability. I stung like a bitch, with a shock he released that the arrow was poisoned. What he failed to notice were the two drops of his blood spilling on sacred grounds.

Picking up a spear left by an enemy, Percy took aim towards the tree, where the hunter was hiding and threw it with all his might. Secretly he also used the water vapour to increase the speed of the spear to almost mach-one. The spear stuck true to its mark which was immediately followed by a spear made of water from the boy's father. Poseidon appeared with a look that showed his legendary anger. Poseidon does not tolerate attacks on his family, and Annabeth, for all instances and purposes, is his family.

Poseidon called one his sons, the Pegasus, to drag Alcyoneus - The Eldest Giant, towards Turkey as this giant's immortality, – that he can not be killed in the land he was born in, which now would include all of Greece. Not before he stuck and opened the giant's stomach like a Döner kebab. The winged horse descended from the heavens to drag the giant, spilling his guts all over the battlefield. That brings us to the last two giants remaining.

By now Thoon has finished weaving our hero's fate and is waiting for it to take effect. All he needs to do now is to wake his mother and their victory is all but guaranteed. The final stretch of his plan is the toughest one as it involves his own demise, but he was ready to do this for the sake of his brethren and mother. Taking a deep breath he started attacking Annabeth and Percy with his club, not to kill but to spill her blood. Since his aim was not to kill he was easily defeated by the veterans of the titan war and was put on his knees. Before he was finished for good however Thoon slid a small knife that he was hiding and cut Annabeth on her outer thigh with a deep cut spilling her blood on the earth as a sacrifice to the Earth-Mother.

Seeing Annabeth injured, Percy's vision turned red with bloodlust. Thoon knew what he did and he was prepared to feel the consequences. Yet nothing would have prepared him for what was to follow, Percy kicked the giant with enough force in the back of his head to crack open his skull. Before his body could fall to the ground, however, the destroyer caught both his hands and kept pushing his head forward. With a wet snap, both hands of the giant were disconnected from his body. All the giant could feel was the agonising pain coursing through his body. He wanted to be put out of his misery, but the destroyer had other ideas. As the giant could not be killed without an immortal's help, Thoon was tethering between life and death. Percy then started using the giant's right hand as a club and was beating the said giant to death with the wet end of his own arm. The sea god seeing his son devolving into madness killed the giant by stabbing him with his trident. Even the god was shaken by the withering glare sent his way by his spawn but it was for his own good.

While this was happening Annabeth was both elated and scared about the effect she had on the son of the sea god. On one hand, this was all she ever wanted in her life to build something permanent like his love for her. On the other hand, she shuddered to think about what would happen to the world if she was taken away from her beloved. The destroyer would bring the whole world to its knees, be it a god, a titan, a giant or a moral who stood in his way to reach her, they would be destroyed. She was scared and thrilled by the amount of power she held over the destroyer of armies. The thrill scared her more than anything, if she ever succumbed to her hubris and asked the world, he would give it to her no questions asked. With all this moving through her head, Annabeth bandaged herself and was about to stand when earthen tendrils wrapped around her starting from her feet making a cocoon around her. Moving up the mud quickly covered her, only her head was visible in mere seconds. The Earth-Mother has risen.

After the sacrifice of the blood of the children of gods on the sacred grounds, Gaea has received enough energy to wake up from her millennial long slumber. She wanted to wake up faster to save her son, Thoon, but she was frozen with fear and disgust at the brutality of the sea god's son. Now she only has one son left in the fight. He wanted to save the one she can save rather than go for a half-dead son and risk losing both of them in the process. Gathering her strength she went for the woman for whose blood, her son had to die. Also to

save her only son it was important for her to restrict the only god at present who could bring his demise. So now, both Poseidon and Annabeth were held in rapidly increasing shells of mud burying them alive. Like she had lungs the size of the whole atmosphere Gaea bellowed, "PERSEUS!!" stopping all the action on the mountain.

Nobody moved a fucking muscle, suddenly the giant king started laughing, "Now Perseus, you are fucked, I have the Earth-Mother on my side. My victory is all but confirmed." boosted Porphyrion. "Then I will take the queen of the gods as my own queen". But Percy heard none of it. All his mind was focused on the Earth-Mother who held two of the most important people in his life hostage. His war commander's mind was going over all the possibilities to save them both. However, as many scenarios and simulations went through his mind, all of them came back with either Annabeth or Poseidon or both dead. What he didn't know was this was the work of his last victim's final act.

Percy knew he had no way of escaping this situation with all three of their lives intact. So he wanted to do the only thing he could think of, offering his own life in exchange for his beloved's and father's life. "Gaea, how are ya, you don't write, you don't call. I was worried for ya", Percy sassed remembering the sun god's talk with his twin. The thought of gods brought a new wave of anger to the surface, if they were here, his father and girlfriend would not be in such dire danger. Earth-Mother however was so confused, she couldn't speak, 'what is this kid talking about'. Finally shaking her cobwebs for prolonged slumber she spoke with authority. "I see that you understand the position you are in Perseus. From the skill I have seen you show, I can be sure that you can save one of two people from my grasp. Both you and I know however fast you are, you cannot save them both". Gaea wanted to break the spirit of gods' saviour, whomever he chooses, the other would die and that guilt would give her enough time and opportunity to secure a victory over the gods.

Percy had made up his mind and wanted to offer himself as a sacrifice, which the earth-mother would accept in a heartbeat as all the obstacles to her victory would be cleared in one swoop. Both Annabeth and Poseidon can see the resolve in Percy's eyes even before he spoke. Annabeth kept shouting "NO! NO!" over and over as she saw the desperation in the eyes of her beloved. Poseidon on the other hand has also come up with his own resolve.

'Son' Poseidon spoke in Percy's head, 'You have to save Annabeth. In the short time I have known both of you I can see the love you both hold for each other. I saw her crumble like a sand castle when she found out that you were missing. I can't see either of you going through that again. Even when you jumped after her into the Pit of punishment, in a corner of my heart I was happy for you and her, as you had each other. I knew you would pull through together. I take a great amount of pride in knowing that I helped both of you retain each other. I am an immortal Percy, however long it might take I will come back again. But not the pair of you. Even if you both choose rebirth, you might not meet again. Please do this for me and let me die in peace knowing I protected what mattered to me the most '.

Tears were leaking from Percy's face by the time his father finished his speech. 'But dad, What about your kingdom, my stepmom, your queen, what about me, you can't leave all of us!', Percy spoke in his mind too. 'My son, my kingdom, has my heir for this very reason, and I have complete faith in my firstborn that he will rule well till I come back. My queen, *hmm* I hate to be the reason for her sadness but she'll understand my reasons behind the decision'.

Percy wanted nothing in his life but for this day to end and for his father and girlfriend to come out of it unscathed but this goddess was making it impossible.

'Dad, I can't do this, w..what about the last giant, I can't kill him without you', Percy thought back grasping at straws. 'Hmmm, yes the pesky Giant king is still alive, right? Ok here's what we do I will use all my remaining strength and skewer the giant and then you finish him ok. Son, listen we are losing precious time, and remember my son I'll always Love You and I am proud of the man you have become'. Percy is now openly sobbing as he has to be the guy to allow his dad to die, he almost felt this as a parricide.

But Percy smelled a faint smell of home-cooked food in the air and immediately understood that there was a chance to get out of this now he just has to buy time for their saviour to arrive. He looked at the tear-stained face of his beloved and knew exactly what to do. Taking a page right out of Annabeth's playbook: Buy time however long you can.

"Hey Gaea, how are you liking my dad's dick in your mouth, that's what you are doing under the mud cocoon right", said Percy in a cocky tone with a smirk. Gaea was shocked by the comment so much that she couldn't come up with anything other than a "w..what". Percy knew at that moment he had to play up the act for a few more seconds so that they could get out. "Ya, my dad told me all about y'all's exploits. How you liked to worship him on your knees, day and night for years together. Isn't it how my bastard of a half-brother was born, what was his name… ah Antaeus was it. Dad also told me how you loved to bend over to take him all up your ass. Isn't it why he is called the Earthshaker as he shook you to your core? Hahahahaha that was a fun conversation", reminisced Percy playing up an asshole character.

Everyone on the battleground were in shock now, opening and closing their mouths like a guppy. Poseidon was blushing golden even in his mud coffin, he understood his son's plan but didn't expect the route he was taking to achieve it. Gaea's face is also golden with both anger and mortification. The giant king however was seething with anger at the way this sea spawn spoke about his mother. He charged the mortal hero to skewer him with his spear. That's when all hell broke loose, literally.

All of a sudden the earth beneath the feet of the giant king cracked open. The giant tripped on his feet being stuck in a crack and fell forward. Not even a second later his throat was split open by a necro-black sword belonging to a very angry elder brother of the sea god. Next instance another necro sword poked through the giant's stomach courtesy of Nico de Angelo, son of said angry Chthonic deity. From the split ground, it looked like all of the underworld was coming out to fight for the day. From the three Furies to Cerberus to Charon everyone was there to fight.

At the same time with Gaea, she knew she was in trouble when the ground started to boil over. She has somehow managed to anger the calmest goddess in the entire pantheon. The earth-mother was hit with a blast of fire from beneath her earthen feet hot enough to melt rock and make lava, lifting her off her feet and losing her connection to her element. Out of the blast walked a very angry-looking Hestia, the firstborn of Kronos. Poseidon took the opportunity provided to break free of the earthen prison using his earthquake powers. He immediately went to save Annabeth from her prison.

Hestia held a flaming sword much like a modified version of her father's sword backbiter. "I am sorry I am late for the party little brother. It took a while to get gloom-face over there. In the end all I had to do was, say you were about to die and he's here, saying only he can kill you.", Hestia said cheekily to her little brother and received a quick "thank you" from him.

Percy once again started killing all the remaining monsters, which are very few remaining. He felt happy that at least his aunt Tia was able to join their fight. She had asked him to call her "Aunt Tia", after he spoke with her on his very first day of camp, which now felt like a lifetime ago. Zeus is both idiotic and stubborn to not allow any gods to join the fight. Maybe the god king thought Percy would finally die in this fight and he would not have to worry about him in the future. Percy liked to think at least a few other gods and goddesses would have joined the fight if not for the moronic king. He's good friends with Apollo and Hermes. Even Artemis would talk to him when he was in Olympus from time to time. Which is like being declared the best of friends coming from her when you are a male. Aphrodite was another deity he's good friends with even though she'd flirt with him all the time, he still liked her. And now none of them are here in his time of need fearing the wrath of the king which made him feel mad.

That was when Percy realised that the battlefield had gone quiet. Almost all the monsters are golden dust now. The remaining demigod took a dust filled breath thinking it's smooth sailing from here. But it's not to be. Gaea shouted, "enough" and raised her hands suddenly there were earthen tendreals restricting everything on site. Only one who got away from them was Percy as he used his earthquake powers to break the bonds. He thought that this was his skill but the earth-mother wanted to break everyone's spirit once and for all to stop all resistance and had let him break free from the bonds.

And this brings us back to the start of this story of a boy with black hair and sea-green eyes. Percy takes a deep breath and closes his eyes to get ready for the battle of his life and earth.

Gaea then took on a smaller form which stood at a height of 7 feet tall. She wanted to fight this upstart Perseus and end him at once. Looking around Percy saw that all his friends and family were getting slowly squeezed to death and he is the only one left standing to take on the earth. Sighing loudly and asking for the millionth time why is it always gotta be him he started running towards the behemoth of earth-mother.

As soon as Riptide and the earthen sword of Gaea met, Percy knew that this would be his toughest battle and most probably his last battle as well. Both their strikes were matched. While Percy's attacks had skill, Gaea made up for it by sheer power alone. And Percy could barely keep up with Gaea's powerful strikes. Both were looking for an opening in others' defence. Percy knew this would be a lost cause if he doesn't finish the battle soon as Gaea can tap into her vast reserves of energy supply being a primordial, which Percy lacks and is getting tired fast parrying her powerful strikes.

He found one such opening when the goddesses tried to go for an overhead strike, Percy ducked underneeth the blow and came up with a powerful almost uppercut like slice up with his sword. And the attack struck true but the problem was the goddess' skin was made of

earth and it barely even left a mark. Percy was ready to drop dead on his feet and had put most of his remaining energy into that strike.

Gaea started laughing, "Now you see young Perseus, everything you do is for not, you have no chance of winning against a primordial such as myself, accept your defeat and I might kill you before your loved ones so you don't have see there faces with hopelessness when I finally kill them all". Then a tiny light bulb went off in Percy's head remembering the time Annabeth had taught him Greek history and how Gaea's first husband was defeated. He has to sever the primordial's connection to her element. Easier said than done. Now another light bulb went off, gods he's on a roll today, he recalled the prophecy's final line 'to storm or fire the world must fall', well he is the son of stormbringer, he would bring the mightiest of storms to mount Olympus.

Digging deep into his energy reserves, knowing he's running on fumes, Percy created a storm with himself and Gaea in the eye, much like the one he created to neutralise Hyperion's fire. With every passing second the storm's intensity kept increasing exponentially, everyone on the battlefield were under the effects of the storm except the creator of the said storm and his father. With a yell the destroyer increased the wind speeds of the storm to cat-5 and directed it towards the feet of Gaea. Finally she understood his intentions and was trying to grasp into the ground with all her earthen tendrils.

This freed the gods stuck in the earthen prisons but only Poseidon was even able to move towards the fight. The stormbringer joined his almost clone to sustain the storm as it was eating up Percy's life reserves and he might drop dead for real this time. When the sea god mixed his powers with his spawn, the resulting storm became the biggest storm to be ever created on earth with winds reaching almost mach-one i.e., speed of the fucking sound. The earth-mother has lost her footing by this point and is sucked up by the near perfect vacuum created at the eye of the storm. Poseidon looked at his son with adoration and nodded at him to finish the job. Letting go of his control over the storm, Percy dove head first into the storm, spinning with the wind, almost looking like he was swimming. He used all his remaining energy to hold onto his sword above his head with both his hands in the direction of the wind making him like a human, non explosive missile. Using water in the storm Percy directed himself towards the earth goddess floating upwards. Then in a millisecond he was shot towards the goddess and then through the stomach said goddess covering himself in silver ichor in the process.

Percy flew out of the goddesses back almost like a being shot out of a cannon leaving behind a big exit wound. Poseidon dismissed the storm and was now frantically searching for his son in the flying debris. Clearly Percy has lost consciousness after he went through the goddess like she was a tube-ride in a waterpark. "There", Annabeth shouted pointing at her seaweed brain, Poseidon didn't even realise when reached beside him. Annabeth was muttering to herself "That was the dumbest of his ideas", and how "He could have gone splat on the earth-mother's body even with a slightest miscalculation of his sword's angle". Leaving her to her own musing the sea god rose a column of water to catch his free falling son. Incidentally the water provided much needed energy to the sea spawn but not enough still. When he was back on the ground again, Percy regained consciousness for one second and asked a very burning question "Did we win?" causing a wave of relieved laughter from this father and girlfriend, And then swiftly fell unconscious again.

And just like that the world has fallen for the combined efforts of stormbringer and his spawn.
