"So where to next?" Rin questioned as she turned around to Len who followed behind her.
Len paused then smiled. "Well…that's a surprise for now so I'll just lead you there." He said. Rin deadpanned at that but just nodded. "Okay then."
Len then raised a brow. "Oh? Are not going to complain or question where I'm taking you?" He said. Len had fully expected Rin to glare at him and start demanding where they would go next and such but to see Rin act so calmly was…surprising to say the least.
"It's a little late to complain now." Rin shrugged. "Besides you wouldn't tell me even if I ask, would you?"
"No, not really." Len chuckled at that and Rin rolled her eyes. "Well just for the sake of asking….where are we really going?"
Len smiled before moving forward. "This way, milady." He gestured forward as he lightly took her hand and lead her forward like some princess. Rin scrunched her nose at the action but she didn't remove her hand from his as Len lead her down the street.

Kaito was just exhausted as he sat on the ground near some trees while Miku who was beside him, was searching around for the blond pair with binoculars at hand (don't know where she got them but Kaito didn't want to ask).
Miku had unfortunately lost sight of the two blondies and was now searching around while dragging Kaito around like luggage which was extremely tiring for him, although he was already used to it by this point.
Thankfully, Miku had calmed down enough that she wasn't reeking havoc around the streets (Thank the heavens). Perhaps it was because she had finally attended the concert of her favorite idol. Something which was actually near impossible for her to attend and Kaito understood why since his wallet was already in tears because of those tickets.
But that wasn't the main focus right now.
"Miku, can't we just leave those two alone?" Kaito said (more like begged) to his girlfriend. Miku looked down at him and glared. "Are you kidding? My sweet Rinny has been kidnapped by that evil, evil menace! I can't leave her with him!" She growled before she looked back at her binoculars.
Kaito sighed heavily before he grabbed her hand, causing Miku to look back at him once more. "Come on, we haven't gone out on a date for awhile now. Can't you just stop obsessing over them and start focusing on me?"
Miku frowned. "Not now, Kaito. I need to look for Rin-chan." She said and Kaito mirrored her expression while tightening his grip slightly. "Why are you so obsessed with those two? I'm pretty sure Rin went with Len willingly just now." Kaito couldn't help but questioned.
Miku looked down at him with a sigh. "I…just don't trust Kagamine." She muttered then paused with a frustrated expression. "Especially with what he did to Rinny back then."
"Huh?" Kaito was confused with what Miku meant but Miku shook her head. "Nevermind." She dismissed before she glanced back into her binoculars. "There they are!" She suddenly exclaimed as she spotted the pair from the distance.
Kaito sighed heavily and began mumbling to himself. "Seriously. What's the poi- Hngh!" He suddenly choked when he felt his muffler tightened around his neck, strangling him. "Let's go Kaito!" Miku exclaimed as she gripped on one of the ends of Kaito's scarf. "We have to follow them!"
Kaito would've responded if it weren't for the fact that Miku was literally leaving him struggling for air as she dragged the poor blue haired male, who was literally turning blue, behind her.
"You're kidding right?" Rin said in disbelief. "An arcade?"
She stared up at the large bright sign over their heads that said 'ARCADE' in flashing was probably the most ridiculous place for a guy to take a girl to. Normally they'd take her to a café or the aquarium or at least somewhere romantic…not that Rin was expecting any of that or anything close to that. This is not a date, after all!
"Well yeah." Len grinned. "I just thought that since we are so busy lately, I thought we might as well have some fun and play a couple of games."
Rin frowned. "So after a concert, you take me to an arcade. Usually guys would take a girl to a café or a restaurant after that."
"Oh? And how would you know that?" Len questioned. The thought of her 'date' with Mikuo came to mind but Rin dismissed it and huffed, crossing her arms. "I just know." She said. Len raised a brow but then shrugged.
"We'll go to a café or wherever later." Len said, waving a hand. "For now, how about we just have fun just this once? Come on, it'll be just like when we were kids." He then offered Rin a hand. Rin glanced at his hand then at him before she sighed and took his hand.
Len grinned before leading her in the arcade. It was rather spacious with rows of games and machines everywhere and surprisingly there were a lot people were inside. Rin glanced around the place in wonder since she hadn't been into this arcade before.
"So what game do you want to play first?" Len soon questioned. Rin turned to Len and hummed. "I don't know...why not you pick?" Len nodded at that. "Alright then, we'll play over there." He declared as he proceeded to drag the girl towards the nearest machine.
"What on earth is he thinking?" Miku grunted with distaste as she watched the two blonds convers and play with some of the machines. "Taking a girl to an arcade is not romantic at all! Ugh! Is he really the school's popular player?" She huffed while hiding behind on of the arcade machines.
Kaito was right behind her, trying to adjust his scarf and sighed in relief when he felt it finally loosen around his neck. He sincerely hoped he didn't have any marks around his neck.
He glanced at his fuming girlfriend then sighed for the nth time today. "Miku seriously…" Kaito began tiredly. "Can't we just go on a date inst-"
"Shhh!" Miku hissed, shoving her hand to his lips without tearing her eyes away from the two. Kaito muffled a sound then frowned behind her hand. This wasn't going to end well…
"No way..."
"I told you Rin, you shouldn't challenge me in this game."
"That's just unfair. How did you do it?"
"Some practice and a lot of video game experience, I guess."
"I don't believe that."
"Why so?"
"You must have cheated. There was no way you could've won against me..." Rin glared at the score board at the screen. "And in a perfect score at that!"
Rin had challenged Len to a fighting game, which Rin thought she was superior at since it was a game she was familiar with and played several times in the past. Len of course, accepted the challenge and well…the results were painfully obvious.
"I demand a rematch!" Rin declared, pointing a slim finger to his face. Len blinked then chuckled as he slowly moved her hand away from his face. "Come on Rinny. It's just a game." He said while Rin huffed. "You're just saying that because you won." She grunted before she stared up at him with clear determination in her eyes. "One more! I demand one more game!"
"Alright, alright." Len laughed. He was quite happy that Rin was having fun. Just a few hours ago she was fangirling over an idol she worshipped and now her eyes were burning with determination to beat him in a game. It's not every day he gets the chance to see different sides to Rin in one day so it made him really glad that they could spend the day like this. "Alright Rinny then-"
"Rin? Len?" A voice suddenly called out. They turned to the side to see a certain teal haired male looking at them in surprise before he approached the pair.
"Mikuo? What are you doing here?" Rin asked, just as surprised. The two were unaware of the dark look Len was giving to Mikuo.
Mikuo smiled. "I was here with some friends of mine but apparently they ditched me." He sighed but then tilted his head. "How about you two?" He asked as he looked at Len then back at Rin. Rin glanced at Len before responding. "Um…we were-"
"We are in the middle of a date." Len immediately cut in, crossing his arms. Rin snapped her head at him in shock. Wha-
"Eh? Really?" Mikuo looked at them at shock, especially at Rin who Mikuo was sure said that she 'disliked' Len. Rin immediately flapped her arms in denial. "No! No! That's not it!" She exclaimed. "It's not a date!"
"No, I'm pretty sure this is a date." Len deadpanned. Rin glared at him as though trying to silent tell him to shut up. Mikuo looked back and forth at the two blonds then frowned. "Well, if this is really a date-"
"It's not a date." Rin said while glaring at Len who snorted but said nothing else. Mikuo blinked. "I see…" He said. He glanced at Len who was looking at the side then he looked back at Rin and smiled. "Then if you guys don't mind, can I hang out with you guys?"
Rin and Len looked at him with shock.
"Huuuh?!"
"Huuuh?!"
Two very irritated voices yelled out in the same time but for different reasons. The first voice from Len who was shocked and annoyed that Mikuo would dare to try and ruin his date with Rin and the second voice was…
All three of them turned to their side to see Miku popping her head out from behind one of the machines, gritting her teeth. Kaito who was still behind her, on the other hand simply face palmed. So much for following them in secret.
"Like hell I'm having you surround my Rinny along with that demonic shotacon!" She yelled as she stomped her way towards them. Kaito followed behind her without much choice. Mikuo flinched and raised his hands in surrender as his sister marched up to him and poked him on his chest while growling at him.
"Miku?! What are you doing here?" Rin questioned. "Have you been following us this whole time?"
"Well I can't just leave you alone with him!" Miku pointed, almost offensively at Len who snorted loudly. "So you resorted to stalking us? Now you just went from drama queen to creepy stalker in an instant." He grunted and Miku glared. "Shut it!"
"Okay enough!" Rin exclaimed before an argument could break out. "Miku, I still can't believe you followed me and Len even though I told you that I was fine." Rin scolded to which Miku pouted and began to look like a child being scolded by a parent.
Kaito couldn't help but deadpan at this since he had witness her turn from demon to a pouting child which was probably the most shocking thing in the world but somehow Rin was achieving the impossible without even realizing it.
Rin then sighed heavily. "Well since you guys are all here…we might as well hang out altogether." She said and Len looked at Rin with his jaw slightly open as though he wanted to ask what on earth she was talking about.
Rin looked at him at the corner of her eye and frowned. 'It's not like we have a choice' her eyes were literally saying. Len scrunched his nose then click his tongue but didn't voice out his displeasure.
Miku's eyes brightened at this and she lunged at her, embrace the smaller girl tightly. "Hmm~ You are such an angel, Rinny-chan!" She sang as she rubbed her cheek against Rin's, much to her discomfort. "Okay! Okay! I get it!" Rin exclaimed.
Miku released Rin but then hooked her arm around Rin's. "Now then, let's leave this place!" She said, making her way to the door with Rin in her arm.
"Wait a minute!" Len immediately stepped in with an annoyed expression. "You're not taking Rin with you."
"Why not?" Miku glared at him. "Rinny shouldn't be in a place like this in the first place! She should be surrounded with sweet and adorable things just like her!"
"Well you're not sweet or adorable so she shouldn't even be around you." Len snorted. Miku growled in irritation and the air was suddenly suffocating that some of the people inside the arcade were already heading for the nearest exit.
Rin looked back and forth at Miku and Len, unsure what to do and then she looked over to Kaito and Mikuo who were trying not to even look at the scene as they busy themselves by inspecting some of the game machines.
"We will never get along will we, Kagamine?" Miku grunted.
"Nope." Len immediately replied which made Miku snort. "You know what that means?"
"Of course Hatsune."
Miku let go of Rin's arm and placed a hand on her hip then pointed at Len. "I challenge you to a duel, Len Kagamine!" She declared.
Len scoffed as he smugly crossed his arms. "I accept your challenge."
"Duel to the death?"
"No mercy then."
The two glanced at one of the machines then nodded to each other before stomping to the nearest and most violent fighting game in the arcade. Both of them were burning with the determination to beat the living hell out of each other.
By this point, a crowd had begun to circle around the two players in interest. Some were already whispering and shaking their fists excitedly.
Kaito, Mikuo, and Rin couldn't help but watch from the distance as two monsters were about to try and murder each other in an arcade game. After a few minutes of silence, Kaito face palmed then grunted. "Aaaand it looks like I'll be the one to clean up after them when it gets messy."
"What do you mean?" Mikuo couldn't help but question. Kaito raised a brow. "Seriously? Just look at them."
The three looked back at Miku and Len to see that they were literally beating the machine up as their eyes were glued to the screen. The characters they had chosen for the game were in the middle of an extremely violent battle as the crowd around them cheered.
The more they watch the more they begin to realize that the machines weren't going to last long, especially Miku's as she already punching the buttons on the said machine. It hadn't even been that long since they began playing…
"I'm just going towards them in case anything happens." With that said, Kaito walked over to the crowd, leaving Mikuo and Rin alone.
"Sooo…" Mikuo drawled out. "You were on a date with Len?"
"No!" Rin denied. "Well...Yes but err this was just because I made a deal with him." She explained as she fiddled with her fingers. Mikuo arched a brow. "A deal?" He repeated to which Rin sighed. "It's complicated."
"Seems tough." Mikuo remarked with an awkward smile. Rin shrugged. "Not really. In fact…it was kinda fun." She admitted. 'As expect of a player I guess…' She thought to herself. He really did know how to show a girl a good time…though in this case not the most traditional way.
"Really now. That's good to hear." Mikuo said. "When Len said you were on a date, I was a little worried since you once said that you…disliked him."
Rin opened her mouth to say something but then closed it. Well, she did say that but…she wasn't actually sure what she felt towards the blond haired boy. He was extremely annoying at times and he is nothing more but a player but…she didn't hate him but in the same time she didn't like him…
"Well…yeah I did say that but…I have to give him credit for his effort." She muttered. "That's true." Mikuo agreed. "You must have really had a good time if you were willing to say such a thing about him."
Rin was about to correct him about that when they heard the crowd exclaim in awe. "I won!" Len shouted, raising his fist in triumphant as the crowd cheered their congrats. Miku was kneeling on the floor, punching the ground in frustration. "Damn it!" She cursed. How could she lose to him of all people?!
Miku then leap to her feet and shouted. "I want a rema-" Before she could finish what she was saying, a hand grabbed hers and proceeded to drag her out of the sea of people. "W-Wha-! Kaito! What are you doing?!" Miku exclaimed as she struggled against his grip.
"I told you, we haven't been on a date for a long time now because your entire focus was on them." Kaito said without glancing back at her. "That's why we are going to have a date right now, whether you like it or not."
"H-Huh? But Kaito- wait! Stop!" Miku protested but all her protests fell on deaf ears as Kaito simply pulled her out of the arcade. The crowd immediately dispersed afterwards and everything seemed to went back to normal.
Len walked back to Rin and Mikuo with a satisfied look. "The best will always remain the best, as I say." He smugly proclaimed and Rin rolled her eyes. "Riiiight." She drawled.
"Anyways what game should we play next?" Rin asked and Len was about to say something when Mikuo spoke first. "How about we play a crane game?" He suggested.
Len glared at him while Rin nodded and walked over to the crane machines with Mikuo. Len simply followed behind them with a grumble. They scanned the various crane machines lined up until Rin paused at a certain machine and stared at the stuff toys inside. Inside were teddy bears which was either a panda bear or a white bear, all in different sizes.
Rin pressed her hands against the clear glass and couldn't help but coo as her eyes sparkle. "So cuuuute!"
Mikuo looked over her shoulder then smiled. "Do you want me to grab one?" He asked and Len's ears immediately perked at that and he stared at a similar crane machine. Rin turned to Mikuo in surprise before she excitedly nodded. "Yes please!" She exclaimed.
Mikuo nodded before he grabbed a coin from his pocket and placed it into the slot of the machine. Rin watched nervously as Mikuo moved the crane and slowly lowered it. Rin then gasped then began jumping in excitement. "You got it!" She exclaimed and indeed Mikuo had managed to fish one of the bears out and dropping it into the hole.
Mikuo took out the bear and offered it to Rin. "There you go." He said. Rin took the bear and stared at it happily. It was a small milk white bear, practically the same size as her hand, and Rin thought it was the cutest little thing ever as she poked it tiny face with bliss.
"By the way…" Mikuo began. "Is Len alright?"
Rin snapped out of her cooing and looked over to see Len playing with one of the crane machines as well. He had a focused expression on his face as he moved the crane around before he grunted as he accidentally dropped one of the stuffed bears and played another coin into the slot.
"He made a lot of attempts already." Mikuo pointed out as he watched Len drop another bear and repeated the process once more. "Maybe we should just leave him alone." Mikuo suggested. "How about we just take a walk outside for now? We'll just message Len later."
Rin was about to disagree but then thought about it for a moment. Maybe this could be her chance to get away. She kinda held her end of the bargain and it wouldn't really be too bad if she left right then and there, right? But then again…it would be kinda rude to just leave Len like this…
Rin debated with herself for a moment before she nodded to herself and turned to Mikuo. "Alright, let's go." She said. As the two were leaving, Rin couldn't help but glance over her shoulder towards Len who was too focused on the game to even notice them leaving. She kinda felt bad for leaving Len like this but it was his fault for being so engrossed with a silly crane game.
The two walked down the street in peaceful silence until Mikuo spoke up. "So what kinda of relationship do you really have with Len?" Rin was taken back with the question and uttered. "Huh?"
"Well you two seem close even though you dislike him." Mikuo said, sheepishly scratching the back of his head. "I mean…you live under the same roof and all that."
"Well…" Rin paused, wondering how to start. "I'm not sure if Miku had mentioned it to you but me and Len are childhood friends since our parents are close." She said then huffed. "I still can't believe my parents left me alone with that guy to babysit him because of his stupid partying habits."
Mikuo then laughed. "Well Len can be quite the party animal." He couldn't help but agree, especially remembering that last party at Len's house. It was one wild party. "But you have to admit having a handsome childhood friend like him, a lot of people must be envious of you." He then smirked. "Though not as handsome as me, of course."
Rin didn't mind Mikuo's side comment, instead she was more focused at what he said a moment ago. Handsome? Len? That can't be it…
All of a sudden, the sky darkened and before anyone knew it, the rain began to pour. The people around the area cried out in surprise at the sudden rain and began to either run for cover or take out their umbrellas.
"Ah! Its raining pretty hard." Mikuo couldn't help but remark the obvious. "Come on Rin! Let's run for it!" Mikuo said before running ahead to the nearest shelter. Rin was about to follow after him when something was suddenly placed over her head, shielding her from the rain.
"Rin." A familiar voice started. "You're gonna get wet."
Rin looked up to person then choked when she realized it was Len…completely shirtless.
Her face instantly turned bright red and stared for a moment. Len was right in front of her, half naked. He was already soaked from the pouring rain. Rin couldn't help but stare as the water soaked his hair and the rain dripped down from his form.
She wasn't the only one staring as many women nearby froze and stared at the blond in surprise, all of their faces bright red as their eyes roamed over the half naked male's body. Rin could've sworn she heard some of them squeal in delight from the distance but that wasn't the issue right now!
"W-W-Wha-?!" Rin stuttered. "What the heck are you thinking?!" Why the hell was Len shirtless at a time like this?!
"You're going to be drenched." Len said simply as he placed a hand on her head to keep the cloth on her head in place. That was when Rin finally realized that the said cloth was actually Len's shirt. "Even without an umbrella, this isn't normal!" She exclaimed.
"But I don't want to ruin your new outfit. It's important to you isn't it?" Len looked down at her with a serious expression. Rin's eyes widened. Eh?…How did he know her outfit was brand new?
"E-Even so..." Rin protested but Len patted her on the head. "I'm fine but I don't want you to get wet so don't argue okay?" He said in a very gentle voice. Rin didn't know why but her heart skipped a beat.
He shouldn't say such things so naturally like that…
Rin looked down at the ground, red faced as Len lead her to the nearest shelter where Mikuo was standing. Mikuo was shocked when he saw the pair, especially Len. He panicked for a moment before he offered Len his handkerchief which Len begrudgingly took and mumbled his thanks as he wiped the water from the form as best as he could.
Mikuo said he would be back with refreshments and walked into the convenient store
Rin gave back Len's soaked shirt. "I can't believe you gave me your shirt." She grumbled as Len wrung the water out of his shirt before putting it on. "Weren't you wearing a jacket?"
Len blinked before he gave look as though he just remembered something. "Oh yeah, that's right." He said before he took out his somewhat wet jacket from under his arm but there was something odd about it which Rin didn't noticed at first.
It was unusually bulky as though there was something underneath that it kinda surprised Rin that she didn't noticed it. Len then looked at her and smiled. "I didn't want it to get wet so I had to cover it."
He presented it towards Rin before he removed his jacket, revealing…a teddy bear. But not just any bear, it was a huge panda bear that was the same kind she wanted from the crane machine…
"It's the biggest one I could get." Len grinned widely. "I hope you like it. I was able to do it when I do it diligently." He said with pride.
Rin just stared at the panda bear in surprise. So he spent the whole time on the crane machine just to get her this? He was such an idiot but…
Why was her heart racing this fast?
Rin couldn't stop the redness cover her cheeks before she snatched the panda bear from Len's hand and huffed. "I guess I'll just have to accept it!" She said and turned away.
Len blinked then smiled gently. "Please do." He said. Rin glanced at him but then took out the white bear from her purse. "H-Here." She said, shoving the bear at Len, much to his surprise. "Mikuo got it for me but in exchange for the panda bear, I guess I'll just give this to you."
Len blinked at Rin baffled but then he smiled. "Okay then. I'll take it." He took the bear and smiled down at the milky white bear. Rin didn't say any more than that and continued to look away from him.
Mikuo stepped out from the convenient store with a smoothie at hand and called out. "Hey, do you guys want some smoothies?" He asked. Len snorted as he made his way towards him. "At this cold weather? That's sounds silly."
"Hey I was just asking." Mikuo shrugged. The two guys conversed while Rin embraced the large soft panda bear in her arms as she glanced over to Len. Time and Time again, she always feels out of sync with that guy but…
She hugged the bear even tighter as she felt her heart race madly in her chest. Just what is this feeling?
A/N: Hey guys! Its been awhile since I last updated this! Sorry for the long wait!
I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I always wanted to write this chapter for a long time but didn't have the time to write it but yay! The time has finally come! I always had this idea with the bears when I first saw them in Rin and Len's song 'Suki Kirai'. Then again, this whole story was practically inspired by that song.
Tbh, when I first made this story I never expected it to actually have a lot of readers. I just made it out of whim because I was bored but I'm really happy it had a lot of readers. Honestly, most of the scenes in the chapters of the story were made on the spot. I just went with whatever came to mind.
Anyways enough of my rambling. I wish you guys a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Please read and review my story, okay?
Well that's it for now so until then! Farewell!
