The Unseen War
Chapter 1
Santana's POV
Don't know what got into me to start walking in the middle of the night. It was freezing cold and the strong winds made it less bearable. It's so cold that my body started to get numb. So, I decided to sit down on a bench that look so inviting at the time. That's when I heard a low growl that was right behind me in the bushes. I turn around so fast that it could have given me a whiplashed but, nothing was there. So, I decided to turn back around and face forward trying to pretend I didn't hear anything. Then the sound came back, again but this time the growling was closer. I don't know what possessed me to start running but I did it anyway. I ran so fast that it felt it like I was in a marathon. Finally, when I was certain there was nobody behind me, I started to slow down to a jog, then to a stop. This is when I realize what a mistake it was for me to stop running, it happens so fast that it caught me off guard. Out of nowhere a very huge blonde wolf, it launches at me like a bullet leaving the chamber of a gun. With its sharp teeth, ready to shred me to pieces. That was the last thing I remember when I passed out. I Finally woke up and found myself in a hospital at first, thought that came to mind was a dream. When I tried to move around the hospital bed, is when I was hit with a horrendous pain I ever felt in my life. This pain confirm that last night wasn't a dream. The pain was so bad that I was not able to go back to sleep. I look out the window to see my dad talking to an officer when the door open, to reveal a doctor coming in.
"Hello Miss Lopez how are you feeling? I'm Dr. Thomson." He said it with a small empathy looking smile.
"I feel like I got hit with a ton of bricks, don't get me started on my head. It feels like it is about
to explode, and my body, it is like I been expose to molten lava" I complained to the doctor.
"Well you just rest and your father will inform you on happened last night. " the doctor finished talking and gave her a small smile before walking out the room. I turned my head towards the window to see my father is still talking, well more like screaming his lungs out to the officer right now. The officer had to give him a warning, for my father calm down a bit. I guess I should try to sleep this pain off.
Brittany and Quinn's POV
"Quinn, I can't believe you. Why do you like to scare people?" Brittany ask her fellow blonde friend
"Brittany it's just a way to get some of frustrations out. Besides it's another way of exercising "
Quinn replied
"But you gone too far this time, that wasn't just a scare you actually hurt that girl. "Brittany
stated firmly.
"Ok I guess I was caught up in the chase." She replied like it isn't a big deal.
"How can you say it like that? You almost killed the girl tonight. If I didn't stop you, you would have!" Brittany yelled at her friend
"But" Quinn began to reply bit was cutoff, "but what Quinn. You bite her, she is going to change into a werewolf on the next full moon. She doesn't even know that she just got drag into a war. I might not understand many things like you. I at least know and understand that you most likely ruined her life." Brittany finished her ranting.
"I know what I did, I just don't want to think about it right now. I'll go and find out who she is later, that way we can help her through the transformation." Quinn reassured her friend.
Brittany's attitude change almost immediately when Quinn said that to her.
"We should go and get some rest. Then we can go and find her and we also have school in the." Brittany said. With that Brittany turned around and started to walk in the direction of her home.
"Hey Brittany wait. Are you mad at me" Quinn yelled after Brittany?
"I'm not mad. Just disappointed in you Quinn. You attack someone then try to act like it's not a big deal. I'll talk to you later when I have set my thoughts straight" Brittany answered back. With that she leaves, without letting Quinn say anything else to her.
Ugh great job Quin, I had to screw it up and drag someone into this mess we are in. Next time I'm only chasing bunnies and maybe birds. Now I got my best friend mad at me on top of that. I just want this day to end already. I turned to the direction of my house and began walking, thinking of ways to figure out, who it was that I attack.
Once I got into my house I felt like I had no more energy. Today had started off great, but ended up being a disaster. I ended up in my bed just letting sleep take over. With one thought in mind, I hope I can find this person before it's too late.
I was chasing a rabbit across the dense forest. Zig-zagging around the trees trying as I might to catch this rodent. Dam it where did it go, can't believe I let this bore out smart me. As I started to turn around, I realized I was no longer deep in forest but, rather near a side walk. That was when I saw someone. I couldn't have recognized who it was but they look to be around my age. As I my dream started to get more vivid, my alarm clock went off waking me. I bolted up shaken up, since my own mind is punishing me for what I did. Gosh hopefully today in school will bring clues as to who I attack last night. I should start praying and hoping its isn't someone I know. I won't know how I will react if it is someone close to me.
Quinn, Brittany and Puck's POV
All right so here I am at school waiting for Brittany by her locker. We need to figure out who that girl is before the full moon. That's like in two weeks that means we got to get a move on. Where in the world, is she? If I wait any longer, I'll be late. So, with that I take off to my class. Just got to get with her later. As I'm walking to my class my friend Noah or as he likes to call himself Puck ran to me.
"Hey Quinn I hear what you did. How can you do that to an innocent bystander." Puck Questioned me.
" Look I don't want to talk about this right now but, like you know about it. Are you going to help me find her?"
That is why, I came to you. I was going to let you know that ill help. So yes, I'll help you find this mystery girl." he finished then turn around and left. So now its Puck, Brittany and myself looking for her. I must talk to my father, to get more eyes looking for her. I must talk to them both during lunch. So, we can launch a plan. Shit the bell just rang I am late to my class. The day has been nothing out of the ordinary. Well time to find Puck and Brittany. Hey puck I need to talk to you and Brittany. So, let's go find her.
" So, Quinn do you know how she looks?" Puck ask me.
"The only thing that I can remember is that she looks to be around our age." I told him
"Well at least that's something better than nothing, right?" he replies.
"Yea I guess your right Puck but, knowing that I hurt someone is really eating me away" I tell him honestly.
"Don't put yourself down. Now let's go find Brittany!" He yells
We were walking down the hallway and found Brittany standing there with a worried look. Hey B we were looking for you. What happen? Why so sad? I ask here.
"Yea, Brit what's up?" Puck ask just as worried as I am.
"Nothing really. It's just that Santana isn't here today. She hasn't text me at all. I think she's mad me." Brittany says.
Maybe she just has lots of things to do at home and forgot to text you B." I say trying to calm her down.
"Ok you may be right. So, what you guys wanted to talk?" She asks.
Oh, right we're going to go look for this girl. Just look for people that are acting strangely. Well do the this for the next two weeks until we find her.
"Well that sounds like a start. For, now let's go eat before lunch is over." Puck says.
"I'm not hungry, I'll just watch you two eat!" Brittany exclaims with a giant smile on her face.
