Tyler Joseph found himself running towards the "launch pad", unusually late. He'd been too distracted whilst taking a bath. On top of forgetting which city he was in, he had also forgotten there was a show tonight. Thank god Jenna, his beloved wife, had his schedule and was happy to remind him.
He raced towards the car and managed to leap on as the launch pad was lifting. Crew would want to discuss this after the show, but he knew better. There would be no after.
The show began with Grammy nominated song Jumpsuit. He loved it. More than that, he loved the big entrance he made. Originally, he would walk on stage and begin a song, but now he was lifted onto the stage on a car. Once he leapt off it, it would be set ablaze. He would rush to the mike as the iconic bass placed.
The car itself was something Tyler had become intimately familiar with.
Though he loved his wife and tried his hardest to deny it. Oh Deny, Deny, denial, he could no longer to himself. Tyler Joseph, was in love with the burning car. He couldn't explain it. There was something so sensual about how it was set on fire. The flames licking at him, with such mischief.
He hadn't expressed any of this publicly, of course. Hadn't declared his love in so many words. But he would tonight. With action.
The song began and Tyler jumped off the car, in a stylistic manner. To him, the hops he did off and on the car were like flirting. A dangerous dance they played. Oh no, Tyler thought, someone could get…burned.
The flames ignited, warming his back. He looked at the audience, what a beautiful group of souls. He was happy they would know the true him. All these fan fictions of Josh and Tyler, well they just never got it right. Tonight. They would know.
Throughout the show the flames went out only to be started again. Such is life, Tyler often thought, burning with excitement only to be rendered worthless. Extinguished. Dowsed.
In a moment of utter showmanship Tyler jumped onto the car once more. It hadn't yet had the proper time to cool. He could feel it burning through the soles of his shoes. A gentle reminder of what was to come. A lovely sting, a pain he greedily accepted, if for only a moment.
The show went on, no need to save his voice anymore he made it a point of giving this audience, his last one, a jolly ole' time. Finally, when the car was ignited once more. Tyler jumped into the flames. Smiling as he accepted the erotic licks and bubbling skin that engulfed him. A man on fire; burning flesh and singed off hair never felt so good.
The audience screamed, none louder than that of Josh Dun, his bandmate. Who's out of the band now Josh? Tyler's last thought.
Now he just sat in silence, forever.
