Tom's POV

Despite all Kagome's efforts, the elder priestess perished and the group went into mourning. Honestly, I thought Kagome was handling it pretty well. Compared to the rest at least. Really I don't understand why people need so much time-

Hmm….that was odd….for a long while now I've grown accustomed to the steady trickle of light magic, now known as Kagome's miko energy, but it seemed to have...stopped.

I went to see if our mental connection was open, but I found Kagome passed out. Luckily, she eventually found herself in the world of dreams where she unconsciously opened up to me.

We were outside Hogwarts on a fairly clear day. Students around us were smiling and hugging each other while looking at a wall of names. My Asian companion was with her three girlfriends while looking up at the wall.

"Kagome," I tried to attract her attention but she was having a panic attack at the bottom of the castle steps and everyone was whispering and pointing while the three other girls were trying to comfort her.

"Kagome!" I nearly shouted.

"Tom-san?" She looked at me with pathetic, watery eyes.

"What's wrong with you?"

"I...I…," she sniffled, "I didn't get into high school! I failed my entrance exams!"

"This is Hogwarts. There is no such exam." I waved away her imaginary friends. "Now get a hold of yourself! There are more important things to worry about."

"Wha-?"

I cut her off and, with irritation, inquired, "I cannot feel your reiki anymore. Why?"

"What?"

And then the girl woke up.
