"Natasha, Clint, get out of the pool!" Steve yelled.
A few moments later a giant wolf landed in the pool causing all the water to splash out soaking all the Avengers. Bruce's chair took him to the other side of the patio dangerously close to the edge but Steve grabbed the back of his shirt.
Pepper and Tony had rolled towards the sliding doors, Tony had his arms out whooping, Pepper was trying not to hit him. The two spies stood ready to fight when something human like and blue landed on the wolf bouncing once on the fur before sitting up looking around.
The blue skin with what looked like white and sliver markings on the figure who had red eyes and was looking around before he looked up and seemed worried.
"Thor!"
All of them looked up just in time to see the Thunder God falling out of the sky. He seemed unconscious and by the way he was falling he wasn't going to wake up anytime soon. The blue person on the wolf leaned forward on the wolf.
"Fenrir, let's go!"
The wolf leaned down pushing what was left of the water of the pool out before jumping high into the sky and the new person gripped onto Thor's cape pulling him onto the wolf before they landed back onto the patio.
"Thor?" The new person asked slowly checking over the wounds before frowning. "Wake up!"
"Huh?" Thor sat up quickly. "What happened?"
"We fell from the portal between Asgard and Jutonnhime."
"Are you well, brother?"
"Well enough."
Before anything else could happen Fenrir snapped his head to his leg where a human was poking and pulling at his fur.
"I think this is a real wolf, cap." Tony said pulling at the fur.
"Tony, stop, just stop." The blonde groaned.
Loki watched as Thor spoke with the humans about the happenings on Asgard and how they came to be on Midgard. Loki listened somewhat but he was more concerned with his Bera. The heat of Asgard on a Juton with no magic to protect one self was as good as drinking poison.
Rubbing Fenrir's snout Loki closed his eyes. There was hope that his Father's magic could reverse such damage but what of the after effects? Odin had attacked Laufey knowing full well that the Juton King was nowhere near his nor was his Bera ready to fight under such conditions. All of which would work for in the favor for the All Father.
Fenrir whinnied nuzzling him.
Loki smiled. "Fear not, my child. Everything will be well."
Wagging his tail Fenrir laid down getting comfortable.
"Loki."
Looking over at Thor and his friends Loki patted his son's head once more before walking over to them to see what could be done about getting back to Jutonnhime.
Laufey gripped his stomach as the portal closed.
They had been so close if one of Odin's guards had not attacked them. Lucky more damaged as avoided by the Odinson who jumped into the fray. The added people to the magic portal was suddenly disturbed causing the portal to change form that of Asgard to Midgard.
When they fell Laufey tried to cover his child but Loki had shoved him away and he fell to the bank the cold snow was highly welcomed but that did not last for the portal began to travel away from him and with it his child.
He barely heard himself yelling for his mate to help Loki as he ran towards the portal every part of his body screaming in protest when suddenly relief filled him his body returning back to that of normal before he dove trying only to be grabbed by Fárbauti and the portal closed.
"No…No…"
After that Laufey could hear shouting all around him yet it seemed far off or as if he had gone under water for none of the words could be understood. Soon his vision started to fade and the last thing he saw was Fárbauti looking down at him speaking, saying something before everything before falling into darkness
"What have you've done?" Firgga's voice was cold. "What have you've done?!"
"Nothing you need worry of." Odin replied before turning. "Also nothing that cannot be fixed."
She looked at him before folding his hands in front of her. "That memory… tis not the first nor the last time that yours and Laufey's paths have crossed has it?"
"Tis the path."
Steve had led troops to war, fought against countless odds, saves people, lead the Avengers, fought the Hulk and lived, had gone form a man form the forties to the man of the future, he had learned how to work a basic cell phone (It only took him a few months), had been able to get around New York without losing his way but there was one thing that could get under his last never, make him angry, make him want to punch something and yank out his hair and that was…
"Tony for the love of God, stop poking Bruce with that pen!"
"What? I'm asking him a question." Tony waved his hand around before poking Bruce with the pen again. "You mad Bro?"
"Tony!" Steve screamed yanking at his hair. "Go find something else to do!"
"But I'm having so much fun."
Without another word Steve strode over grabbing Tony by his shirt before dragging him out of the room and tossing him into the lab across the room telling him to stay in there and leave Bruce alone and for good measure Steve not only broke the lock he placed one of the giant wooden tables in front of the door just in case before leaving.
Going down the hall Steve saw the giant wolf walking along the halls. Since the two Norse Gods had arrived Loki had put a spell on the wolf or as Loki said his son to make him small. However the wolf was still as tall as a horse and had to squeeze into the doors but other than that the Tower remained somewhat normal.
Going ot the kitchen Steve grabbed a mug of coffee downing it in less than thirty seconds.
"Captain?"
Steve turned around. "Oh, hey Loki. Uh, you want some?"
"No, thank you." The Juton/Loki said. "I was merely wondering if your King Fury would be arriving soon? I must return to Jutonnhime as soon as possible; it is important."
Nodding Steve pulled out his phone looking at it for messages. "Nothing yet but I promise that we'll help you."
Loki looked around. "Your kitchen?"
"Yeah." Steve pocketed his phone. "Are you hungry?"
"A little, yes." Loki walked over to the stove. "What will you make or do I make it myself?"
"I'll make it." Steve pulled pots, pans, and other things. "You like roast beef?"
"Yes." Loki smiled before pulling out a dagger. "I shall return."
Steve had been pulling out a chuck roast form the fridge before he turned around. "What did you say? Loki? Huh, he must have gone to the bathroom."
After a while of cooking Steve had Jarvis turn on the news. They were talking about a the zoo and how someone had broken in and stole a zebra from its pen.
"Hey, Cap?" Clint said walking in casually.
"Yes?"
"Did you tell Loki that you guys were going to be roasting something?"
"I said that we were going to have roast beef."
Clint stood there blinking for a minute. "Okay. Did you tell him how you were going to make it?"
"No, why?"
"Because Loki and Thor are outside on the patio roasting a Zebra I'm pretty sure they stole form the zoo."
Steve laughed before he trailed off seeing that Clint wasn't joking but was being absolutely serious and nodded his head towards the hall that would lead to the outside patio. Sputtering Steve ran passed him as the archer followed.
There outside a beautiful built fire from wood that must have come from central park. A animal was on the spiked poll being turned slowly as Loki had a brush and was seasoning the poor dead Zebra looking quite pleased.
"Oh, that is not good." Steve said as he came to a stop.
"Friend Steve!" Thor grinned. "Come and join us! The beast will be ready soon and then we shall feast!"
Loki looked over his shoulder. "What do you like to drink with your Roast Beast?"
Before Steve could say anything Clint's phone rang. "Hello? Yeah. Yeah. Hold on. Cap?"
"Yes?"
"It's the Director."
Steve looked down before looking at the phone and back at the demigods who seemed very happy with their dinner cooking on the giant open fire. Sighing he took the phone and held it up to his ear saying hello.
While they talked Clint walked over to the two Gods looking over the Zebra cooking. To be honest it smelled really good and it made his mouth water. He could see a string that had been used to close of the stomach after the two had gutted it and inside was all kinds of seasonings, Garlic, Onion, squash, (Did Loki find a grocery store?), lemons, limes, and other things.
Thor was still spinning the Zebra before Loki told him to stop. Than the two carefully lowed the fire with magic before Thor left to find something and returned with a silver platter. Loki mumbled some words and the platter suddenly grew to a size that would be big enough to fit the food.
Thor put it on the platter before placing it on the giant dinner table that was off to the kitchen. Clint followed watching as plates, forks, knives, and spoons came floating out of the kitchen placing themselves in their rightful place.
"I'll be right back." Loki said excusing himself to the kitchen.
"Son of Barton, hand me that carving knife and I shall start cutting the beast."
A few minutes later, Tony, Pepper, Bruce, Natasha and Loki came in. It seemed Loki had grown tired of being in his normal form so had changed from Jotun to Asier and from male to female for a while. Something that had confused them until Loki said it was in fact him and not some random woman who managed to get into the tower.
As they sat down to eat Clint had been wondering what Zebra tasted like so he didn't bother to tell the other just what they were going to eat. After they sat down and he took a bite he was piloting on taking as much as the Zebra meat as possible and freezing it because whatever the hell the two gods did to the meat it was the best thing he had ever eaten!
Everyone else seemed to be enjoying the meat as well. They were all on their seconds plates when Steve walked in.
"Alright, I smoothed it over with Fury and they said they would have a replacement soon for the zoo- ARE YOU EATING THE ZEBRA?"
"Zebra?!"
Clint just kept eating.
