Fenrir watched as his Bera healed the human by pouring magic into the arm that was badly damaged. He felt proud of himself finding a missing pack member to the Captain. Wagging his tail Fenrir thought that once they returned they would surely give him a nice tasty beast to eat. Licking his lips Fenrir started to day dream about it.

"Fenrir, keep him warm." Loki said turned away from the human. "I shall go gather more fire wood, also mind his arm. It was badly hurt however I healed it but it may still be very sore."

Nodding Fenrir laid down in front of the human before pulling him into his chest and folding his paws over the human to warm him up. This is what he did when on missions with the other humans. A few didn't like it but the one with the purple shirt didn't seem to mind to much. What kind of meat would they get him when he brought back a pack member? Laying his head down when the human tried to get out he sighed deeply.

Why did all the humans try to escape when he was trying to keep them warm? Fenrir knew what it was like to be alone and cold in the snow, so why try to leave? Being warm was a wonderful thing! And not belong alone was even better. Whining a bit when the human managed to pop out his head Fenrir quickly nuzzled him back in.

There.

Safe.

Oh, he came out again.

Nuzzle.

There.

Safe.

[Memory]

"Prince Laufey."

Laufey looked to who called his name when they landed on someone familiar. "Fárbauti. What brings you to the Palace grounds today?"

"Well, I was let out of training early." Fárbauti grinned walking around the prince. "And as it so happens I was just stationed here."

Following him Laufey a smiled. "Happened to be, you say?"

Fárbauti stopped next to him a grin on his face. "Yes, and there also happens to be a nice spot near the river I have found a tree that has purple fruit, and I thought that perhaps the Prince would enjoy one?"

Smiling at the purple fruit that was held out to him, Laufey took it before biting. If it was possible Fárbauti's grin had somehow gotten bigger. Taking another bite Laufey smiled a bit before walking closer to him.

"Laufey!"

They both looked towards the voice. It belong to one of Laufey's older brothers. Looking at Fárbauti Laufey smiled dimmed a bit but he nodded at him and Fárbauti bowed.

"Until next time Prince Laufey." Fárbauti bowed again before bowing to the brother and leaving.

A little disappointed Laufey turned to his brother. "You do you insist on interrupting every time I see Fárbauti?"

His brother snorted. "You should have no interest for anyone who trains in the army. It will only cause you heartache."

"I think not." Laufey walked over folding his arms. "Fárbauti has always been the best and top in his class at everything."

"Laufey," His brother sighed deeply. "I know the coming of age ceremony for you is nearing but think of what you are and what he is. It's not wise to pick a mate right after coming of age."

Frowning Laufey's eyes narrowed. "So say the one who has more than one mate. Tis disgusting."

"I earned them both!"

"You tricked them both." Laufey said calmly turning to walk away. "And it is they who have heartache, not I, brother."

Growling his brother pointed at him. "Stay away from that Army brat, Laufey."

"Thy words worry me not." Laufey waved his hand. "Now leave me be for I am off to the river."

A twenty minute walk later Laufey found the three with the purple fruit. He noticed that the ones lower to the ground where small. The one Fárbauti had gotten him was rather large. Looking up he saw that the large fruits where at the very top and seemed very had to reach.

"Laufey!"

"Gaaah!" Laufey nearly jumped out of his skin. "Fárbauti! I told you to stop doing that!"

Laughing Frabuti came to stand next to him. "My apologies love, but I was just excited to see you."

"Mmm, yes, and my family isn't so happy to see you."

"They never are." Fárbauti nodded. "Well, than shall we?"

Leaufy too the elbow offered to him. "Of course. And where are you taking me today?"

"To the Book Keeps, of course."

"You do know me too well, belove."

[End memory]

Laufey jumped awake.

Loki slowly woke up from the memory only to find that he was laying on the snow. Had he passed out? Is that what happened? The last thing he had remembered was walking around collecting wood. A moment later his head felt light and suddenly he was reliving a memory.

How was that happening? The first time was because he had felt the bond and had grabbed onto it but this time he hadn't even felt it and somehow he had tuned into the memory. How strange to see his parents and how they interacted.

Standing up slowly Loki dusted off his clothes from the snow before leaning down to pick up the sticks and wood pieces he had gathered. Walking back to where the camp site was he put the wood down before setting up the fire, lilting it with his magic.

Fenrir was having fun taking care of the human. The human who's name Bucky was asleep. He was exhausted to say the least. Healing the arm had been hard enough to do because it had been so damaged that Loki had thought that it was going to have to be lost. Luckily he had been able to save it.

"Fenrir, keep watch on the fire and I shall go and gather something to eat."

Fenrir nodded before curling back up to sleep keeping the human warm.

"I shall return shortly."

With that Loki turned back into the snow.

Everyone was in the tower when a beeping sound was heard. They all stopped what they were doing when Jarvis announced that Fenrir had returned. They all headed up to the floor that Fenrir always went too when he returned from anywhere and hopefully Loki was with him.

When they got there Steve went from running to coming to a slowly walk staring at the person Fenrir had hanging from his mouth. The wolf walked up to Steve proudly before setting the person down in front of him setting the other down before nudging the Human towards the Captain.

Fenrir didn't understand why the Captain screamed and kept hugging the other human.

Loki watched from the roof of a building across as Fenrir delivered the injured man to his rightful place before turning and vanishing. One thing Loki noticed about the humans was that they had recordings everywhere.

A simple magic trick and the royal markings and blue skin melted away into that of human skin, and another tick and he was now in his female form. Loki raised her hands and waved them over her body to produce human clothing.

No one paid attention to the woman in the green dress as she crossed the street placing some sunglasses upon her face. She made it all the way to nice empty apartment where Loki conjured up a nice living place.

Just for a little while.

Only for a little while.

Because Odin might find her.

Walking into the room she was gripped with the Bond and it world came up to meet Loki as another memory surged through both their minds.
