Laufey frowned.

He was hiding in the shadows listening to the war meeting that his older brother had called upon. It had only been a month before hand that his beloved Mother had died and now his Father was changing everything. The lonely King was becoming cruel and heartless.

Frowning Laugey could bare no more. Leaving them behind he went to go prepare form the his coming of age ceremony. Tonight he would be old enough to make his own choices. Since he was one of the youngest of his Family he could choose to leave the palace and live with his beloved.

Fárbauti.

Smiling Laufey went to his room. He remembered how he met the other Jotun. They had met when Fárbauti had been training. He was pushing himself to see how fast and far he could run and ran right smack into Laufey sending them down a snow filled hill until they crash into the river.

Laufey remembers getting out yelled and screaming at him for it and his the army brat just stared at him eyes wide and mouth hanging open and suddenly Fárbauti had declared right than and there that one day they would be mated and have a family.

That line had made Laufey stare at him in shock before he sputtered and yelled at him some more before storming away. However Fárbauti was right. Laufey had found his soul mate that day. How strange how things work.

"Laufey!"

Turning around he saw his older sister there. She was smiling at him and he returned it. "Good morning."

"Good morning. Are you preparing for tonight?"

"Of course."

"Laufey... about... your choice..."

"Oh by the Norns not you as well!" Laufey crossed his arms. "You should know better! A soul mate is something that you find not choose!"

"An Army Brat?! Laufey, what a disgrace!"

"I will not stand by and let you speak of Fárbauti as such!" Laufey turned on his heels. "You shall not change my soul and my hearts design!"

"Watch yourself, Laufey! There are those who do not approve!"

"I care for them not."

Laufey did not see the look on his sister's face as she smirked and left.

Steve sat next to the bed where his best friend who he thought to be dead slept.

Bucky had been in and out of it since Fenrir had brought him back to the tower. They had found out that when Steve had rescued him from the Red Skull they had been injecting Bucky with the serum which explained why he was still alive after so long.

Tony had joked that the two best friend had been frozen and than thawed out. Steve had glared at Tony but afterwards got over it because he was so happy that his best friend was alive and well.

As he waited for Bucky to wake up he heard Fenrir walking up and down the hallways peeking into the room every once in a while. It seemed that their large wolf friend was worried about the human he found. Steve had noticed that the wolf was always worried about them. A few times the wolf would wander around the tower and gather all of them up together in his large room that had been made just for Fenrir and would keep them there for a few hours.

Speaking of which...

Fenrir just walked passed the room happily with a scowling Clint hanging from the wolf's mouth, the animal's large tail wagging happily. Ten minutes later he returned to fetch Bruce and ten minutes after had a passed out tony who was clutching a bottle of scotch in his hand not even noticing that a giant wolf was carry him away.

Loki sat on the powdered snow somewhere up north with his knees drawn up as he tapped the sot powdered snow with a stick his face void of anything. However his mind was deep into thought.

There had to be a reason he was reliving all of his Bera's memories. It couldn't have been the bond alone that was causing it. It had to be something more. The memories came and went but they always had a certain message in them.

Loki sat back thinking about it.

The meeting of his parents.

The pride and soul leader of the army called of his amazing skills, a Warrior like none other who rose the very top of the Jotun Army, nick name Cruel Striker for his incredible aim, undying strength and that he held no fear.

Fárbauti of Jotunnhime.

Laufey who was one of the youngest of his family, who tore all the bonds he held with them to raise his own army from the ruins of the divided Kingdom, lead them to Midgar where a war raged until they brought down his Father and older brother and forced to slay them all for the good of their Kingdom. Laufey who was not supposed to take the thrown but was to be mated to his soul mate and forever live among the commoners yet faith did not allow it and he became King, a wise ruler who took care of his Kingdom and all who lived in it.

Laufey the King of Jotunnhim.

Fárbauti and Laufey.

Rulers of Jotunnhime.

This amazed Loki.

Still there was something about them. Something happened but what? Standing up Loki looked around the snow feeling at peace with it. He would have to go home to them. Loki felt safe with his rightful family and he needed to return to them. Just a couple of more weeks and we would have enough magic saved up to go home.

Suddenly a dagger embeded itself into Loki's arm causing him to cry out in shock and pain. Looking up he gritted his teeth as four Asgardian's charge at him.

"You die frost giant!"

"Sif, don't kill him!"

"Laufey?" Fárbauti called as he saw his mate sitting in their room holding his stomach. "What is wrong beloved?"

"Something... something is wrong..." Laufey looked at him. "My memories that Loki keeps seeing..."

"Of our lives, are they not?"

Laufey looked Fárbauti worry on his face and fear in his eyes. "The memories that we see are not the ones I remember."

The room went deadly silent before Fárbauti stepped forward. "Laufey..."

"Someone has tempered with my memories."
