"By the Norns, Fárbauti , make them stop!" Laufey cried out holding his head tightly. "These damn memories hurt!"
"I know, love," His mate said gently as he pressed a towel mixed with moon dust potion on his head. "I fear there is nothing I can do about them. Loki's magic has hold and I cannot seem to break it."
"Can you at least contact him?"
"I already tired." Fárbauti looked away embarrassed. "It did not end well…"
Their two sons snickered in the background making Laufey sit up a bit to raise an eyebrow.
"You two!" Fárbauti hissed. "Not a word!"
"Of course, Father."
"Daman!" Laufey's hissed plopping down again before mutter. "Not again…"
With that the King once again fell into a deep memory. The family gathered around to try and make him as comfortable as possible for when he next woke up. Each time Laufey would wake up in such pain that sometimes it would reach out to his family but their Bera would pull it back to himself as much as he could.
With a sigh Fárbauti looked at his sons. "You two much go and rule until which time Laufey is well."
"Of course." Helbindi said before they left.
Once along Fárbauti rubbed his forehead with one hand. For the past two weeks Laufey had been reliving memories alongside with their lost child who was still missing somewhere in the nine realms and no one knew where. It seemed that the weaken bond had suddenly changed to such a powerful one that it stunned their family.
Of course it had to be from Loki's magic. Both Fárbauti and Laufey had a fair amount of magic running through their blood. Of course Fárbauti was much stronger than his mate's but no one dared to challenge Laufey's magic, only a few dared and even less for Fárbauti.
Leaning down Fárbauti left a soft kiss on his mate's kiss. Laufey stirred slightly in his memory sleep letting out a small breath before becoming still again.
Sif ran towards him with his sword raised high.
Loki rolled his eyes. This was something he didn't need to deal with so with his uninjured arm he brought up a wall of ice letting her shatter it before slipping into the shadows cloaking himself form their eyes and hiding in the snow watching them.
How long had they been searching for him? How long had they'd known that he was in this area? All Loki could come to it was that his defenses slipped well he was reliving a memory allowing The Warriors Three and Sif to find him. Thor was absent from this outing of theirs which meant he was mostly likely on Asgard or with his human friends. Thinking about it they were nice enough and Fenrir had gone to see them a few days ago. Perhaps they could be willing to shelter him for a short time.
A spell to get there would drain more of his magic but… if he could stay there for a short while than he could gain even more magic. With that in his mind Loki closed his eyes but right before he vanished he sent a rainfall of snowballs on the Asgardians.
"Okay, okay, get off of me," Tony groaned as Fenrir held him down with one paw. "You win, okay? Now let me up."
Barking happily Fenrir let go of the human before going after the others in this fun game of 'Hide n go seek' that they were playing. Sniffing the air Fenrir ran towards the next person who was near by and sucssfully snatched up the curly haired human who yelped a bit.
"You found me." Bruce chuckled. "Thirty seconds sooner this time."
Tail wagging happily Fenrir was grinning when a scent caught his nose and he abruptly dropped the human who let out an 'ow!' before taking off down the halls looking around. Where? Where was he? Somewhere close by! Turning down the hall and passed the Captain and his companion Fenrir stopped just inside the main room barking happily.
"Fenrir," Loki greeted happily walking up to his son to pet his ears. "How have you've been."
"Loki?"
Loki turned to see Steve standing there and the person that his son had saved in the snow. Smiling at them he continued to pet Fenrir's ears.
"Hello,"
"Where have you've been?" Thor's been worried sick and we couldn't find you."
"I needed to go away for a while. The snow was something I needed and as you can see has helped me heal that much faster." Loki paused for a moment. "I have a request, Captain."
"Please, call me Steve."
"I need somewhere to hide." Loki looked at him. "They found me and I need only a week to gather my magic to return home and so I ask you and I shall repay you."
"You already have." Steve said placing his hand on his friend's shoulder. "You returned my best friend to me and this is the least I can do for you."
"But-"
"Trust me, Loki," Steve grinned and his best friend matched it. "This is the greatest gift anyone could give me in this time and age."
"So, staying shan't be a problem?"
"It shouldn't. I'll asked Tony if Jarvis hasn't already told him-"
"LOKI!" Tony came running into the room. "I need you to turn a floor in my tower into an ice rink, maybe some fancy ice statues, a frozen waterfall, a few-"
"TONY!"
"Hey, Cap. Anyhow, about that ice rink…"
After two hours of Loki making Tony what he wanted the genius let him be. Loki was giving a room and met with the others once again. They were all kind enough, enjoyable people and he could see why Thor liked them so much.
When he asked of Thor they said he had gone home to Asgard and had not again returned. Loki nodded at that knowing that whatever was going on up there it was anything but peaceful. The time passed quickly with Loki mostly sleeping and resting saving his energy so he could make the jump home.
He had asked Fenrir if he wanted to return but the great wolf wanted to stay as he had such fun with the humans, this made clear considering how often Loki would wake due to the protests of the humans that his son would carrying around the tower.
Laufey was both glad and scared when the memories stopped. For the past weak he had been left in peace without them and today he was going to take back over ruling but he was in a bad mood. This was prove as he walked into the court with all his subjects waiting and had a scowl on his face still both tired and worried.
Taking his seat he waved his hand to his mate so they could began. Right before Fárbauti could even have the words leave his mouth he saw a small spec of light lingering in the middle of the room. Laufey was leaning on one hand frowning, his hair down since he had lost his crown in Asgard wanted it back but that was very unlikely to happen so a new one was being crafted.
When he didn't hear Fárbauti announce to begin he looked up at him wondering what was taking so long when he shouted as the light suddenly grew into a first sized bubbled and shot so fast it smacked Laufey so hard the thrown tipped over backwards causing Laufey to scream out "Gaahh!" before he landed cursing his life. One week back and he was already being attacked! Damn it all! Curse that idiot Odin and his future spawn for the rest of their whole cursing, no good, damn lives!
"I suppose that was one of my less graceful landings,"
Laufey's head shot up as he paused himself up on his elbows. "Loki!"
Loki smiled at him. "I'm home."
The room cheered.
All than all of you saw the updated and glared at me because it's like three months late even though it's been sitting in my laptop for the passe two months... My bad.
