"This is Loki's room when he comes over, so hopefully this will work for you." Tony said shivering from the freezing cold. "Have fun, I'm outta here!"
Laufey glanced over his shoulder as the human fled shaking. He really couldn't blame him. After all the cold room was perfect to him and to human it must have been unbearable. Walking to the middle of the room he looked over the large room seeing a nice sized bed, a large bookshelf with many books, a desk, something on the desk that was a thin box.
Heading to the window he looked out at the mortal world form the large tower. He could see far and it seemed like the mortals had made such a nice building and living spaces a thousand years later. It amazing really and the last time he had seen Midgard was so long ago.
Turning around he looked at the bed. "I suppose a rest would help."
Laying down Laufey took in a deep breath trying to figure out how he had come to the realm, however only a few seconds in sleep overtook him and for some reason it was peaceful and an old fond memory made its way back to him.
[Juton Palace: Coming of Age Ceremony]
The large door that would lead to the throne room was tightly closed as all the Juton who were to come of age stood there waiting. Laufey and a few of his siblings stood at the ready at the back. The others would enter first and be set to the sides as the Royal Family made their way to the front and Ceremony would start with words from the Court followed by the King and the King's mate.
After that the Juton were free to mate whoever they pleased. Of course not many did right away since finding ones soul mate was highly sought so many waited. Of course this also meant that for many they would get to travel and seek out their beloved.
The doors opened and soon the Ceremony began.
The royal markings where glowing brightly for the next couple of days before they faded into their light patters. Smiling Laufey took the time to admire the now of age markings before he stood up to go to his studies. On his way he could hear hooting and cheering.
Walking up to a window by his bedroom he pushed open the large tall window before looking out. The warriors in training were sparring. Sitting down on the window seat Laufey crossed his arms over the sail to the watch as one got thrown to the ground and the others cheered.
The one that was winning jumped up from their new win and yelled in victory and shaking his first in the air and Laufey smiled seeing that it was Fárbauti. The other Juton had told him that he had been doing well but did not say that he could beat everyone.
Another and another came at Fárbauti and time and time again the other would won. It wasn't just brute force, it was clam, focus, thought, planning, mapping out and predicting just where the other would be when they attacked him. It was so impressive that Laufey continued to watch for a long while until which time he noted the time. It would be dinner time soon. Standing up Laufey went to change before fixing his gold band across his forehead noticing that his hair was growing to long. Grabbing a knife he carefully cut off the extra hair until it was to his mid-back again.
As Juton Prince who was one that could bare he was obligated to have long hair just not too long to go passed the hips. The reason for this was long lost but traditions, traditions, and traditions. Grabbing to sides he pulled them foreword and with a few flicks of his wrists the two started to braid themselves into tight long-like ropes before pulling them back and using some frost to pin them there.
Grabbing the royal bands Laufey quickly snapped them on before grabbing the long necklace that would go to his stomach and put it on. Waving his hand over the pendent it stayed to him with the small use of magic. Summing up an ice mirror Laufey looked to make sure he was presentable.
Golden eyes.
Frowning Laufey slowly waving his hand across his eyes and they dispersed in the reaction from Gold to Ruby red. Unlike many of the others Laufey was one in so many of millions who had been born with Gold eyes rather than red and while it was common for others to change their eye color for celebrations and festivals however it was all in just passing.
For one to always have the same color eyes other than red was very bazaar to anyone. Therefor his Father had forbidden him from using his natural eye color unless it was a some special occasion. It bothered him to hide his eyes but than again he rather liked wandering outside the Palace rather than being locked in for disobeying.
Grabbing the gold band circlet he moved the hanging beads around so they wouldn't tangle before placing it on his head. Adjusting it he looked in the mirror making sure everything was as it should before nodding to himself.
"A Prince of Jotunnhime." Laufey sighed crossing his arms. "Red eyes are boring.. I prefer my Golden eyes."
"I prefer them as well."
"What in the Norns-!" Laufey jumped at least two feet into the air whirling around. "Fárbauti!"
There grinning from ear to ear and hanging into his bedroom window was Fárbauti of Útgarðar, thou nearly scared me from my body!"
"If you would forgive me, Prince Laufey," Fárbauti grinned more before looking behind him. "I was down there you see and I noticed that someone was watching me for a while and then we I had but turned the person was gone!"
Flushing Laufey turned away embarrassed that he had been caught. From where he was he had been sure that Fárbauti had not seen him. However it seemed the other Jotun was well aware of his watching the whole time. Well, that was not subtle was he would had liked.
Clearing his throat Laufey stood up back straight. "Well, I must be off… and get off my window!"
"I rather like it here." The other said even as he scooted down. "I rather like being able to see your natural eyes, than again it is always a blessed day when the Norns allow me to see you."
Smiling Laufey took a step forward when there was a loud knock on the door causing them both to look at the door freezing. However it was a servant calling from the door for the Prince to hurry for the rest of his brothers and sisters where emerging from their rooms and that being late was not an option.
"I shall be out in a moment." Laufey called before turning to smiled at the warrior. "I must away. I do hope we can met soon."
"Wait, Laufey!"
Pausing Laufey looked back. "Yes?"
"Come hither," Fárbauti said seriously looking around to see if anyone was going to over here. "Tis important."
Walking over slowly Laufey frowned not used to Fárbauti's whole frame coated in seriosune and determined look. "What is it? Something wrong?"
"No." Fárbauti used his hand to wave Laufey closer until the other was right up to him. "Laufey."
"Yes?"
Reaching out Fárbauti grabbed Laufey by the sides of his face pulling the other close to press their lips together ina deep powerful kiss that maybe lasted three to five second before Fárbauti pulled back looking like he had just won all Nine realms and the other jumped off the side or the tower landing on the third floor roof before running off whooping.
Cheek flaming Laufey was in shock before he threw his arms up and yelled out ina happiness and he would never ever admit to dancing around in a circle and placed his hand over his mouth now that the confession had been made true.
They loved each other.
Laufey found his soul mate.
Stilling smile like the love sick fools he often thought idiotic he rushed out of his room hurrying down the hall ignoring the strange looks his siblings gave because his heart was just so swelled with love and happiness that nothing could bring him down.
In his sleep Loki smiled turning onto his side as he dreamt of the past. Slowly waking up Loki looked around the room and frowned. This wasn't his room on Midgard where his and Thor's friends lived, this was his own room in the Royal Palace.
That was strange. He was supposed to teleport from here back to Midgard to see his son and instead he fell asleep and dreamt of his parents first kiss and the soul mate link that started? Odd. Sighing Loki focused more and tried to summon up magic to take him to earth. Nothing happened.
Sighing Loki crossed his arms sitting back wondering why it didn't work.
When Laufey awoke he had expected to still be in the room that humans had put him in. However instead he found himself laying on his back, upside down on the steps that led up to Royal bedrooms. Blinking in confusion Laufey was about to get up when someone stopped in front of him and for all that was none too gracefully he purely pretended not to see said before.
Said person sat down next to him. "So, care to explain why you are laying like that on the stairs, Bera?"
"Shut up and help me to my feet, Helbindi."
"Father would love to see this."
"Do not even think it." Laufey grumbled as he helped up and set to rights. "Well, that was an unexpected turn of events. Where is your Father?"
"I believe he is running around the Place going insane looking for you."
"Tell him I am going to our bedroom." Laufey shook his head once. "And do tell him to come quietly not busting in like a mad man."
"Of course." Helbindi chuckle. "If he listens or not do not blame me."
After they parted Laufey walked towards his room holding his head. Something was going on with these memories. Loki was still seeing them and well he had nothing to be ashamed of or to hide it was just that the memories brought with them pains. Both his head and stomach.
Opening the door Laufey paused seeing Loki there waiting looking worried. "Yes?"
"Um," Loki paused before he pointed out the window. "Father fell out the window."
"He what?!" Laufey cried rushing to the opened window and slamming his hands on the sail of it looking down and saw his mate laying on his back arms crossed. "Fárbauti, are you alright?!"
"Laufey! I was worried about you! Are you alright, beloved?!"
"Should you not think of yourself?! What happened?!"
"Remember how you told me to seal up our windows? Yes, well, I may have forgotten that and when I leaned again the windows I fell out." Fárbauti said calmly. "You know we should really have someone fix thoses."
"Are you inhjured?"
"No, perfectly fine! I fell in soft snow!"
"You olf!" Laufey closed the windows before throwing them back open again. "Do not scare me like again! And here catch me."
"What?" Fárbauti sat up watching Laufey climbing carefully out of the window holding out his arms he waited until his mate let go and caught the other. "You do know you could have taken the stairs?"
"And you could have used your magic to make me stairs."
"True, but than I wouldn't have you in my arms, would I, Laufey?"
"I suppose not, Fárbauti,"
Loki smiled as he watched them hug and share a kiss. He rather liked they way nothing ever tore them apart, not little fights, big fights, wars, Asgardians, among other things. Nothing seemed to stop their love for each other.
Closing his eyes Loki wondered what they must have looked like when they were young and ruling the Palce together. What fun it must have been to see such a young couple because when the coming of Age ceremony was Loki could pinpoint it as being fifteen in Midgardian years. Young rules, young lovers or rather young mates with the world ahead of the.
"I wonder… Loki said as his eyes grew sleepy yet again. "How did… the two of you… do ruling… that young…"
A few seconds later Loki drifted off to sleep not noticing that below his Father seemed highly concerned that Bera had suddenly passed out soon. What no one noticed at the time was that the black marks on Loki's back shrank a little and lightened as well.
To Robotic-Worm: Thank you for the date of its release. 8D
To pallyndrome: Nooo, I don't want them to make Loki look evil! I want him to make a desion to do good. Okay maybe a little bad if I'm honest…
To thephoenixandthedragon4ever: I hope they don't kill off all of the nine relems because that would be a terrible way to end the Marvel movies. (I never want them to end. Ever. Come to me Tom Hiddleston! I mean, Loki!)
To thatcrazyjellyfish: lol I was thinking about Fenrir and how he would act and thought that if he was with them all the time and their smaller he would just think that it meant that their pups and wanted to care for them. 8D I'm glad you enjoyed it
To OrangeflowerOJ: I would love it if the movies came out every year but sadly they need so much time to make the effects to amazing awesome.
