Alright, I'm back people! It wasn't just that I was having issues writing, but I also had an idea that required much writing for this and a specific time to publish. That's part of why this is short ;) For posterity's sake. It's December 14th!

Read on!

Steve fidgeted with the pillows on the couch as Adrian shut the door for privacy.

"You do know I organized those pillows precisely, right?"

Steve froze at the tone of Adrian's voice, "I...uh…"

Adrian laughed, "I'm kidding! You're acting like I'm going to hurt you or something. I just wanted to talk after… well, after that mess earlier. I've been having a rough time of it adjusting to being here and all and that boiled over with my frustration that you wouldn't answer my question. And I know you don't have experience with modern values and ideals… Well, I'd just like to say I'm s-"

"I'm sorry!"

Adrian blinked at Steve's outburst,"What?"

"Heh," Steve rubbed the back of his neck, "Yeah. I'm sorry too. While you may have been wound up- ready to blow- I was also being difficult and pushed you by being aloof and not answering your questions…"

"How about we just forgive each other? Seems we both set that to blow up in our faces."

"Agreed… So was there something else you wanted to talk about?"

Adrian smiled, "Well, yes. I was attempting to meditate earlier before cooking and realized that we should probably work to get you caught up with pop culture. Not to say everything about it is great, but I figured you'd like to watch the big movies and shows, read books, and such with... someone."

Steve started as he realized Adrian might be trying to subtly ask him out, "Uh… I don't... I mean," when he saw Adrian's face fall he made his decision, "Why don't you join me?"

Despite knowing it'd probably bring trouble, Steve felt it was worth it just to see Adrian light-up the room with his smile.

"Great! I don't know that order entirely matters, but why don't we start with some Disney movies?"

"Alright."

"Ok. Have you seen Snow White?"

"I believe so."

"Let's just start from there. There are like 50 movies we need to watch after all."

Steve gulped.

Bruce was surprised to hear laughter coming from Adrian's rooms upon his approach. Stepping up to the main door, Bruce raised a fist to rap sharply on it, but stopped when he heard Adrian talking, "The colorful elephants not to your taste?"

"After Pinocchio?" Bruce's eyebrows furrowed at Steve's voice, "I'd say I'm getting used to the peculiarities of these things. Is this really considered a kid's movie? It's got a baby elephant going on a drug trip in it!"

"Well," Adrian explained, "You'd be surprised how much adult themes Disney managed to fit in the movies… But the bizarreness of them gives them their charm!" Bruce blinked at hearing a giggle coming from Adrian.

"What's the next movie?"

"Bambi. Oh… I don't know if we should watch this one."

"Why not?"

"Well, it is a beautiful classic, but some find it… sad."

Bruce finally knocked twice on the door, interrupting the two's conversation.

"Bruce!" Adrian smiled at the man when he opened the door, "Do come in. Did you need something?"

"I was actually looking for you and, well, Steve. No one's seen you guys for a few hours and Tony has gotten obnoxiously insistent that 'it's time for him to make some more delicious food."

"Oh… Right. We were just watching some Disney movies to help get Steve more up to date."

"Ok, but better watch yourself. Tony can be a bit insufferable, especially when he wants something."

Adrian stood, "Better get to it I suppose. Then I can attend to my garden- I planted one or two fruit trees and want to check on them."

"Hmm… These aren't' quite ripe yet. The tree is looking nice though," Adrian poked a pear on the tree before grabbing it off, "Actually, this one seems ripe."

Taking a bite, Adrian found his mouth struck by the sweetness of the fruit, "Yup!"

Steve stepped outside and bumped something with his foot that chirped at him. Looking down, he found a medium-sized, brown bird. Picking it up he stepped into the garden and walked up to Adrian, "How are the trees doing?"

"The apple tree is doing great and so is the pear tree you gave me some seeds for. Why did you do that anyways?"

"I don't know… I just thought they'd be nice to have?"

"What is that?" Adrian scrutinized the dozing bird Steve had in his arms.

"Some bird I bumped on my way out to see yo- the garden! I figured I better give it a better perch so it doesn't get hurt."

Adrian gasped when he realized what the bird was, but didn't elaborate when Steve questioned it. Steve placed the bird gently in the tree where it almost smugly settled in a fork in two branches and eyed a pear.

Adrian blushed, "Well, I'm sure the bird appreciates your concern. W-would you go grab the cookies from the oven? I need to do a few last things in the garden and they should be ready in a minute or two."

"Sure."

Adrian smiled after the leaving Steve until he was sure that he was out of hearing distance. He then pursed his lips and checked for anyone nearby listening- can never be too sure with Clint or Natasha after all. Once he was satisfied he furiously turned on the tree with the bird in it, "Bilbo! How dare you!"

The bird shifted suspiciously before saying, "What?"

"You know what!"

The bird seemed to turn up its beak like it had a rotten worm shown to it, "I have no idea what you're talking about."

"You set yourself up to be found by Steve."

"You have no proof."

"You're a freaking partridge! In a pear tree Steve gave me seeds for! Don't you dare argue otherwise. You set this up!"

"Oh… Actually? That's coincidental. I just wanted to see how you two are coming along… But you should be happy. You used to say that it'd be romantic after all…"

"On purpose. Not 'coincidentally.'"

"Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to go attend to the rest of the cookies."

Tony moaned happily as he bit into a warm chocolate chip cookie.

"So how many is that then, Tony?" Tony started at Adrian's voice.

"It's only my second!" Tony said in mock-outrage.

"J.A.R.V.I.S.?"

"Mr. Stark has had nine cookies so far."

"Traitor," Tony mumbled darkly, "I'll program you to speak in rhymes, you know?"

"That would be more bothersome for you, sir."

Adrian shook his head before stepping into the kitchen where he found Steve.

"Thanks! There's just a last batch to put in. Why don't you go join Tony out in the main area?"

Steve nodded before doing just that. One of his eyebrows raised when Mark stepped into the main area just as Adrian did the same and made Mark hunch sheepishly with a glare.

"By the way… how do you guys feel about the zoo?"

There we go! I'll be updating real soon peoples! Rock on my fellow gals and guys!
