"It is not that bad of a wound." Ran spoke to himself mostly as he dabbed the blood away from a Warrior. "I'll clean it and than add some moon paste. You'll be healed by morning."
"I thank you."
"You are welcome." Ran smiled before finishing than moving to the next Warrior. "What hurts you...? Býleistr?!"
"Hello, Ran." Býleistr grinned tiredly. "I was hoping to see you."
"Are you hurt?!"
"Just a few light lashes."
"Here, let me tend to them." Ran took out his things before wiping away the blood. They said silent. Býleistr from fighting, Ran because he needed time to gather his thoughts so he confused on the wounds. Once cleaned and placed with moon paste Ran started to wrap them up. "There. They will be gone before morning. Are you hungry? I can get you something to eat and than you should rest."
"Do not worry about me. I'll find food on my own. Go help the others."
"...I'll seek you out when I am done."
"I look forward to it."
"I believe that is the most you've spoken with me." Ran leaned closer kissing the other on cheek. "Until later."
Býleistr was at lost for words.
The Avengers were all in a tent with Fenrir. They had changed back into wolf fur since it kept them warm. After eating a hot meal, getting medical attention they had decided to rest.
Both Natasha and Clint knocked out within seconds. Not surprising since they were trained to sleep when they had too. Tony was trying to get comfortable so he could try to fall asleep all while bothering Bruce who kept nodding off only to have Tony roll over or move causing him to wake up for a moment before nodding off again.
Steve was leaning against Fenrir thinking about the day. Next to him was Bucky who was just staring out at nothing refusing to fall asleep but he was getting closer to that line. Of course Steve had urged him to sleep but his best friend wouldn't.
Still the blond's mind was on the war. It had been one day and his team was already tired. As much as he hated it half his team might have to sit a day out to recover something that one of the Jutons had suggested since they were Mortal. It was kind of them to take that into consideration but try to convince them was another story.
Sighing Steve closed his eyes. He must have been still enough because seconds later Buck's head plopped down on his arm. Looking at him Steve decided he would think about it in the morning.
Fenrir came in before curled around all of them tightly before drifting off.
Laufey was speaking with Fárbauti about the morning when Ali rushed in with Loki asleep in her arm. Jumping up he took Loki trying to wake the little Juton but nothing woke him.
"Another dream?"
"Impossible. I'm still awake!" Laufey tried again. "Wake up Loki."
Loki didn't move but continued to sleep on. They laid him down on the bedding on the floor before staying with him. After a little while Fárbauti was forced to leave to talk about some strategies they were going to use.
Laufey sighed laying down. He needed some sleep before dawn. After an hour of trying Laufey sat up cradling Loki and rubbing his head. He couldn't sleep knowing that Loki was still in a deep memory sleep.
Waiting for his mate to come back Laufey decided to calm his mind with a little bit of wine. Alright maybe two glasses.
Loki gasped as he opened his eyes looking around. Nothing was around him. Looking down he saw that he was standing on a water surface. Taking a step back he saw the ripples.
This wasn't a dream... was it?
Looking around Loki noticed something far off. Turning slowly he took in a breath before walking towards it. It looked to be some kind of box. Something he hadn't seen before.
There was a low hum that started as he got closer. Standing up straight he made his way over. The box had a Crystal on it. A beautiful moonlight color with a swirl of light blue in it.
The box it was attached too was just as stunning as anything he had ever scene. Slowly Loki reached down to touch the swirling jewel. The moment he touched it something flew threw his soul. Like cool water pouring over all at once. In taking a breath Loki's eyes closed before letting go.
The power rushed out of him back into the box. Gasping he looked at it again. It was similar to the one in the vault. Giving it a look over he saw that it was crest with his Family's Royal seal.
"The Casket of Ancient Winters?" Loki gasped before carefully picking it up again feeling the same power flow through him. "Tell me... what must I do?"
The Casket started to glow.
Loki woke up with a start.
Sitting up he looked around seeing that both his parents were asleep. Looking at them for a moment he felt something in his lap. Looking down he found the Casket. Picking it up he looked it over wondering how it got there.
Standing up he closed his eyes feeling the hum of power humming. Opening his eyes he looked over at his parents once again. He knew what they must do with the Casket and how they War might end out.
"Father, Bera." He called as the woke up imdeotailty hearing their child's voice. He turned to them setting the Casket down as it transformed back into it's normal heigh and form. Just big enough for his Father to hold easily in his hand. "This will help us."
"Is that what I think it is...?" Laufey looked at it touching the jewel before moving back. "How did you get it back?"
"I do not know but it came to me."
"We shall fight than." Fárbauti spoke with a grin. "And now we shall have a chance of winning."
"Indeed we shall." Laufey took it. "Nal... the first Ruler of Jutonnhime... I pray to the Norns that you hear our words and help us save our world."
The Casket grew bright before the humming washed over the entire camp. For moment everyone was calm and relaxed. They felt the presence and peace of the winter's soul comforting them, giving them strength.
Some of it flew out onto Laufey's face causing everyone to gasp with hsi mate grabbing him around the shoulders. However the King blinked and the ruby eyes slowly changed into the golden orbs that Loki had come used to seeing in the memories but that was not the best part.
"Laufey?"
"I... I can see clearly."
