Loki was amused as his Bera continued to look around the tent with his full vision restored. The Ruby eyes had corrected the sight to a degree. It wasn't a complete fix so sometimes when the King though no one was looking he woudl squint a little to see clearer.

This went on for a little while before Laufey noticed them staring. "Stop it!"

Instead Fárbauti continued to stare with a dreamy wide grin. "How I longed to see your natural eyes again, love."

Flushing Laufey sat back trying not to show just how exciting this was. First of all because he was still getting used to seeing things sharply and than there was the looming battle to be fought into the morning.

"I shall got see to my brothers." Loki grinned heading to the entrance of the tent by walking backwards. "I shall leave you two."

The second the ten flap closed Fárbauti reached over cupping Laufey's face so he could stare deeply into the golden eyes. The just stayed that way with Laufey's hands coming up to lay over Fárbauti's before they slowly leaned into a soft kiss before pulling apart.

"How do you feel?"

"...Happy."

"Laufey... are you going to cry?"

"No!" Laufey put his head down on his mate's shoulder. "I'm just adjusting to this new sight is all."

"As you should." Fárbauti pulled him on to his lap holding Laufey tight. "I am so happy for you."

"Thank you." Laufey whispered against him. "You always did say my best feature was my eyes."

"All of you is... however when you look at me with them I'm reminded of how blessed I am."

Fenrir woke up hearing something.

Picking up his head he listened with his ears twitching. Sniffing the air the wolf took in deep breaths trying to figure out what it was. The odd thing was that his pups weren't stirring. He could hear them breathing but all of them were still sleep. Standing up carefully they rolled back still out.

Standing over them he growled darkly at the tent flap. Someone was out there, he could fee it. Baring his teeth he crouched down ready to lunge when it opened and a green eye peeked in.

Stopping instantly Fenrir wagged his tail excitedly wagging his tail fast walking over to the woman whimpering as he licked her face. She laughed walking fully into the tent hugging him tightly.

"Brother," Hela smiled happily. "Tis good to see you."

Ruffing a little he tilted his head.

"I came to see you... I cannot stay..." Hela whispered softly. "I have much to do in Helhime. Wars you understand. However I did bring you something."

Happy he licked her face.

"It's for you and your pups. I've been watching and i can tell you love them a lot. Take this cloth. Place it over them while they sleep and ti shall protect them from harm. It also give strength." She laughed softly as he grabbed it before rushing over to his mortal tossing the lage cloth other them. It faded as it landed on them as the spell took hold. It was sweet to watch as her brother nudged the one with long hair. What was his name? Bucky? Yes, that was his name. "They won't wake, brother. Once I sleep they will be able to wake but for now... let us talk for it has been a long time."

Fenrir gave her a look tilting his head.

"I know. I can't see Bera. Not as I am."

Whining he shook his head before walking in a circle.

"Well, it's not my fault! Odin cast a curse on me remember?"

Snorting Fenrir growled before stopping as one of his pups rolled over before sliding off the pillow. Leaning down her picked up the redhead before placing her back on the pillow. Pushing another pillow over he made sure that they wouldn't fall off before heading back to his sister.

"Well, shall we talk for a while?"

Nodding Fenrir laid on his belly as they spoke and he could almost remember when they were children and for a second he almost remembered what it was before he was turned into a wolf.

Almost.

Loki found Thor and Balder speaking with their friends, asking them if they were alright and how they faired. Walking over Loki waited for a second before Thor noticed him.

"Loki!" Thor yellled happily grabbing him tightly. "Brother, it is good to see you well!"

"You are well." Loki hugged him back before doing the same to Balder. "How are you?"

"Well." Balder nodded putting his Ax over his shoulder. "Well, I shall be off to find a friend of mine. Until the morning, brothers."

"Until morning." They said as he walked away.

Loki looked at Thor. "This friend is Gang isn't it?"

"I believe so." Thor chuckled before leading Loki to the campfire. "Come, brother! I wish to know what has happened since I was... well, since I was banished."

"Much, but yes, let me tell about my life here."

They had a good conversation, laughing about things, somber about certain things and enjoyed each other company as if it had been a day long ago when they were young teenagers on a hunt in the forest or on an adventure with just the two of them.

An hour and a half before battled woudl began the camp was serving foods to all. It was large amount so they woudl eat enough for the whole day. Everyone ate as they talked amongst themselves about the battle that was going to come the moment the sun rose.

Fenrir was enjoying a large piece of cooked meat as his pups where next to him with a pile of food and meat for them. They ate the meat first so it wouldn't get to cold. Soon they woudl change back into their armor which made the wolf sad. He really liked their wolf like furs and how it matched their fur- er, hair on their heads.

After they had all eaten he cuddled with them. Some of them didn't feel like it so he woudl just pluck them up when they wandered off because he was going to cuddle them whether they wanted too or not.

Laufey fixed the helmet.

It was good to ware the old helmet and not his father's. It remind of the times he fought along side Fárbauti during the Great War. It almost felt like they had gone back to that time but this time with renewed hope.

Took in the cool air the King relaxed as he felt the small moments of peace roll over him. Leaning back against the furs in his tent taking the silence to clear his mind. Relaxing was easier as the casket was next to him.

A prayer to Nal was the last thing because the tent flap opened with Fárbauti walking in with his armor on. He took a place next to his mate. They liked that as the time went by slowly until they heard a howl of Fenrir singling that soon the fight woudl began.

"Today is the day I face Odin." Laufey looked sideways at his mate. "Please stay safe."

"Do not worry so, Laufey." Fárbauti grinned but it held a burden and worry. "I shall be at your side as I have always been."

Smiling said they stood up both leaving the tent to head to the front of the battle line. This was all to familiar. Taking in a deep breath Laufey had his eyes closed for a three precious seconds before opening them with his golden eyes shinning before looking at his mate.

"Together?"

"Always."
