Flaw
Piper pushed the door open, panting as she stared into the dim room. Clothes were thrown over furniture. Sheets fell off the single bed. A tower of textbooks teetered on the edge of the desk beside the elbow of the room's owner. Leo's back hunched as he stared down at the neat lines of his scratch paper. He twirled a pencil between his nimble fingers, nodding his head to the beat of his music. Piper took in the peaceful scene. It's so sad she has to destroy it.
"LEO!"
"Hey, do you know how to integral an equaltion?" Leo asked without turning, unfazed by her sudden appearance.
"No, I'm still in pre-cal, Genius." Piper replied as she stepped in, kicking a pair of Leo's jeans into the corner. She tossed her purse on his bed before stomping over. Piper slammed her palm on the notebook. The glass of water and calculator shook from the impact. Leo jumped, shook his head before plucking his headphones out. "We need to talk."
"It's never good when a girl says that." Leo pointed out as he toss his headphones to the desk. Leo rolled his chair back, cradling his chin in his right arm. The red flannel shirt tug neatly against his frame. A while muscle shirt peeked from underneath the loose buttons. "Now, what's more important than Athena's calculus homework?"
"Rumors are…" Piper started softly, perching on the edge of Leo's desk. Leo inched closer, straining to hear her soft voice. "Rumors are you're a bad kisser."
"Ugh." Leo groaned as he leaned back into his chair. He ran his slender fingers through his messy brown hair. "Who?" He asked, muffled by the hands covering his face. Piper crossed her arms, amused by his reaction. His Adam's apple bobbed as he swallowed. "Piper, who?" He asked again.
"Calypso." She answered, tapping her fingers against her forearm. "Do you remember Seven Minutes of Heaven last week?" Leo sighed and shook his head as he stared at the ceiling like it held all the answers. "You don't?"
"Piper, I took birthday shots with Conner and Travis. The last thing I remember was pulling you off the coffee table before you hurt yourself." Piper flushed at the memory. Leo basically threw her over his shoulders before setting her beside Frank and ordered the kind boy to watch her. It wasn't her best night either. "So drunk Leo isn't a good kisser."
"Yeah well," Piper started as she hopped off her perch, grabbing Leo's arm. "Sober Leo is gonna be fucking amazing." Piper lowered herself on the edge of his bed, tugging his arm. The boy resisted, clenching his right hand into a fist. "Leo… this is my best friend duty. You are not going to be a shitty kisser."
"Piper…" Her name sounded like a warning. It dipped low like a rumble so different than Leo's usual voice. The sound shook Piper to her core in the strangest way, not bad, just different. His amber eyes gaze through his tousled locks. "Things might be different if we cross this line." Piper let a chuckle passed her lips before kicking them. Leo's eyes followed the motion unintentionally.
"Nothing will change between us, Leo. It's just a kiss." He looked unconvinced, eyes flickering towards the door. Piper tugged at the sleeve of his shirt, pulling his attention to her. "Leo," she breathed. "Kiss me."
The young man moved slowly, sitting beside her on the small bed. He dragged his hand slowly, purposely, across her bare knee. A shiver rippled through her as his fingertips traced up her bare leg. Piper bit her lower lip, suddenly hyper aware of the boy, no, man in front of her. He reached up, brushing a strand of her brown hair out of her face. His knuckle brushed her cheek lightly before he cupped her chin, tilting it up. She sucked in a breath as his thumb pad caressed her lower lip. "Piper…" Leo said in that deep voice. His lips were a breath away from hers. Her eyes fluttered. "This is stupid. I'm finishing calc."
Piper's eyes flew open, desire evident in her bright orbs. A smirk curled Leo's kissable lips, riling up the girl between his arms. He squeezed her knee before starting to get up. He didn't get far. Piper grabbed his arm and tugged him towards her.
His lips are soft. That was Piper's first thought as she kissed him. Leo's body tensed but Piper held him close, wrapping her arms around his neck. His arms braced on the bed she sat on as she continued kissing him. Slowly, Piper felt the tension leave Leo's body as he started to follow her lead. His lips mimicked hers, pulling an approving hum from Piper. Leo fell into the kiss, wrapping his arm around her waist.
A squeak escaped Piper's lips as he dragged her into his lap. He took advantage of her surprise, deepening the kiss. A soft involuntary moan escaped her lips as Piper ran her fingers through his hair, tilting his head to get a better angle. His nose brushed hers, tickling her cheek. Piper giggled, gently pressing her hand against his chest. Leo's heart thumped wildly underneath her fingertips like he just sprint up the stairs. His warm breath fanned her face as they both panted. She looked at Leo through messy bangs.
"Piper?" She felt the shift in the way he said her name. The low rumble of his voice made thinking harder for Piper. Dark amber eyes gazed up at her, desire so clear. Their bodies pressed together. Every time Leo breathed, Piper felt it. A part of Piper knew she should get up, laugh the moment off and leave. Preserve their friendship. Instead, Piper slid her arms deliberately around Leo's shoulders, pressing her forehead against his.
"Practice makes perfect?" She murmured, meeting his gaze. Leo's lips twisted into that damn smirk.
