Chapter 8 - New Year's Eve: The Sequel

No POV(Present Day):

"You know, I recall that winter break having a rather eventful New Year's Eve", Cat stated.

"Oh, please don't bring this one up again, Cat", Tori whined.

"You know I find it funny and cute. So I'll continue to bring it up every time I can", the redhead smiled. Reaching for a remote.

"Do we really have to play the slideshow for this one". the singer pleaded.

"Yes, yes we do, Tori."

No POV(11 years ago):

It was the last week of the girls Winter Break. The two couples had celebrated their "one year anniversaries" on a double date. They all had dubbed the New Year as their true anniversary. Which if they were being truthful about everything it was to ensure they wouldn't get too busy to forget about it. David and Holly had made reservations for them at Maestro's as a Christmas gift to all four girls. They had only asked them not to order the caviar like last time. All four of them assured them that was no problem with Robbie in New York. When they arrived that night, they were escorted to a private table. Which none of them had known anything about. After they made their orders they had broken into conversation immediately.

"Vegas, your parents went all in for this year", Jade smirked. "My parents would have never done anything close to this."

"I know, it surprised us too. I didn't believe Trina when she told me", Tori replied. "Cat nearly died of happiness when she found out we were coming here."

"I'm aware of that. My ears are still ringing", Trina states.

"Sorry Treen, but you guys know that I've wanted to come back here for the longest time", the redhead smiled.

"Well chill out over there hyper one. You look like you're vibrating."

"She actually is", Tori chuckles, quickly backtracking. "I mean she's not vibrating. W-well she is vibrating. Oh you guys know what I mean"

"Sis, you didn't have to clarify. Jade's just messing with you because she found a box at the dorm", Trina chuckles. "Besides there's nothing wrong with being a little adventurous."

"Yeah, Vega it helps keep things interesting, y'know", the goth was the one to backtrack this time. "Not that they need to be kept interesting. Since I'm perfectly happy with everything."

"Ha-ha, Jadey made a mistake", Cat giggled, revisiting her high school personality. "But in all seriousness it's nice to know that we're all happy with our own relationships."

"I don't think we could say that any better", Tori picked up her glass and lifted it slightly. "Here's to us."

"To us", they repeated.

After dinner the couples had split off. Tori and Cat, driving off to spend the rest of the night in the Hollywood Hills. While Jade and Trina had returned to the Vega's home to "celebrate" their anniversary. Which admittedly was what the redhead and the singer had gone off to do as well. Tori and Cat had returned to the house early in the morning. As they were walking up the stairs they had heard Trina's bed rocking and squeaking along with a few incriminating noises. Tori pounded on the door telling them to go to bed. Earning a laugh from all four girls.

New Year's Eve:

When New Year's had finally rolled around that week everyone had mixed feelings. Knowing that in two days they'd be going back to college; they decided that they were going to have as much fun as possible. Tori had managed to talk Holly into buying vodka for the night. Once Jade knew there was vodka in the house, her and Trina went off to make jello shots. Once they had started drinking Cat had learned that her girlfriend was a lightweight. Tori was only on her second drink of the night, slurring her words already. Jade, being the bad influence of the night had kept refilling Tori's glass throughout the night. Cat had tried to stop Jade once she had started to bring Tori jello shots. But her attempts had failed, deciding to just stay close to Tori.

"Tori, how are you feeling there", the redhead asked.

"I feel amazing, Cat. I've never been this drunk before though", Tori smiled back. "How bad do you think the hangover is going to be?"

"Well with you being the lightweight you are", Cat shrugged. "I'm going to say pretty bad."

"I'm not a lightweight", the singer huffed.

"Yeah, you are, Vega", Jade smirked, handing her another jello shot. "And it has made tonight the most entertaining night."

"Jade, if you bring her another drink you get to deal with her in the morning", Cat stated, smiling.

"Aw, Cat you don't want to take care of me", Tori whined. "Why would I want Jade to take care of me when you know everything I like."

"Tori, I didn't mean it like that", Cat chuckled. "I'm the only one that gets to take care of you like that."

"Ew, get a room you two", Trina shuddered, quickly downing a drink. "You two aren't messing up the couches again."

It wasn't much longer before midnight had rolled around. The girls had started to countdown excitedly waiting for the ball to drop. Tori, had her arms around Cat, the two locked eyes hearing the countdown hit five. Tori leaned in losing her balance, falling past Cat and knocking Trina out of the way in the process. She had ended up on the floor in an accidental lip lock with Jade. Tori tried to scramble off of Jade, instead falling face first into Jade's chest. The goth blushed, quickly pushing Tori off of her.

"I'm sorry, Cat", Jade said. "I really shouldn't have gotten her that drunk."

"It's okay. Besides I'll have this story to embarrass her for the rest of our life", Cat smirked. Walking over and lifting the wasted singer onto the couch with Jade's help.

"I'm just glad it wasn't me", Trina chuckled, grabbing Jade's hand taking her upstairs.

Later:

"Whoa, where am I", Tori questioned.

"You're on the couch at home. It's New Year's", Cat smiled.

"Oh, no it wasn't just a dream was it", Tori panicked. "I'm sorry, Cat. You know you're the only one that I want."

"I know. Let's just make sure we cut you off next time", the redhead chuckled, kissing the singer. "You did make Jade blush though."

"I did", Tori threw a fist in the air. "Score one for Vega"

"Ahem", Cat playfully slapped her. "That's not an achievement that you're going to be bragging about. Although I'll have the story for life."

Present Day:

The screen faded to black as Tori covered her face. Cat laughing pulling her hands away.

"It's been almost twelve years, Tori", Cat reassured her wife. "I mean you've kissed Jade plenty of times since then."

"But those were on TV, Cat", Tori groaned. "That one was real and I still feel bad about it."

"There's no need to feel bad. Both Trina and I were okay about it immediately. Can't really get mad when it was so hilarious."

"We'll never speak of it again", Tori just whined and went back to hiding her face.

A/N: Hey guys. So we have about 4-5 chapters left before we close out this little journey. Although it's not over yet. I may make little one shots in this universe from time to time. Also fun fact, I was originally going to have Tori accidentally kiss Trina instead of Jade but felt that it may not have been received well. Also I'm thinking about starting a series where you guys send me prompts(trying to stay away from graphic smut) and write a complete a prompt between what ever main project I'm writing. Let me know what you guys think and I'll start a prompt story and just put my prompts there. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter and I'll see you in the future.
