Chapter 10 - Wedding Bells Are Near

No POV(10 years ago):

Cat Valentine was in heaven. She was engaged to marry the love of her life, Tori Vega. There were no words that described the overwhelming glee that the couple was in. The redhead hadn't been able to stop looking at the ring since it was put on her finger. The ring had been Tori's grandmother's given to her by her father when she had discussed proposing to Cat with her parents. Cat was pulled out of her daydreaming by Tori's voice.

"Kitten, you know you're going to get sick of that ring if you keep staring at it", Tori spoke up.

"No, I'll never get sick of it. Because you gave it to me", the redhead smiled.

"That's very sweet of you to say, Cat", Tori pulled her in for a kiss. "But I think it's still a possibility when you have me right here."

"Is that so", Cat purred, pulling Tori close to her.

"Ew, go play grab ass somewhere else lovebirds", Jade interrupted. Walking from the stairs to the kitchen.

"You're just upset that Trina is in San Diego for the weekend", the Latina stated.

"No, I just don't want your parents to have to buy new couches", the goth smirked. "Y'know like the last time you and Cat got all hot and heavy in the living room."

"It wasn't our fault. We thought we had the house to ourselves for the week."

"That doesn't help your case any, Vega", Jade chuckled walking back up the stairs.

"Well I'm still in the mood, so let's go", Cat grabs Tori's hand and starts walking to the stairs.

"You're insatiable Cat Valentine."

Upstairs:

Jade West returned to the room she shared with Trina. Opening up her laptop she started a video call with her girlfriend. It had been Trina's idea to plan Tori's wedding, Jade didn't understand why she had to help if Trina insisted on organizing the event.

"What's up babe? Are the rabbits back at it", Trina asked. Noticing her room in the background.

"Yeah, they were starting on the couches again", Jade shuddered. "I still don't know why you went to San Diego with your parents. Aren't they there for a police conference?"

"Yes, but I'm here taking care of stuff for Tori's wedding."

"Oh, are you going to stop at that store we've been wanting to check out", Jade smirked.

"Naughty Jade, I went there already. Let's just say that I spent half of my travel money there", Trina said gleefully.

"You spent $150 in a sex shop", Jade looked at her wide-eyed.

"No, more like $250", she replied carefully.

"They better be the best sex toys in the world, Vega", the goth threatened.

"Can confirm they are the best", Trina blushed.

"You didn't. Aren't you sharing a room with your parents?"

"No, I paid a little extra to get my own room."

"I'm going to go Treen. I want to finish this script before your sister decides to cave in to Cat."

"Okay, toodles", Trina waved and the screen went black.

No POV(Present day):

"You know we really did traumatize Jade", Tori chuckled. "I'm surprised that she agreed go on that tour with us knowing we were busing it."

"To be fair her and Trina were just as bad as us", Cat remarked. "Remember Trina's 25th birthday? The DJ's speakers cut out and everyone could hear them upstairs."

"Oh, don't remind me."

"Tori, don't act so innocent. You tortured those two when we went back to live with your parents after college."

"Hey, I only did that because they tortured me during college."

"They gave us fair warning every time", Cat smirked. "Which is extremely not Jade-like of Jade."

"That's very fair", Tori agreed.

No POV(Past 3 months later):

Tori Vega was freaking out. Just two months ago her and Cat had sent out their wedding invites. Now with the wedding two weeks away she was feeling jitters that she hadn't felt since the weeks leading up to her proposal. She was fortunate to have an amazing support system. If it hadn't been for her parents, Trina and Jade; she was afraid that she would have called off the wedding out of pure nerves. She looked to her left at the empty spot on the bed. Cat was downtown at an audition with Jade. While it was Jade acting, Trina and Cat were there for support(which secretly allowed Tori to write her wedding vows).

Hearing the front door close she quickly saved the file and closed the laptop. Heading down the stairs to greet everyone.

"How'd the auditi-", Tori stopped herself halfway. "Oh, hey mom. How was work?"

"It was work, but I'm finished now", Holly smiled, her exhaustion clear. "Did you have the time to finish your vows today."

"Yeah, I think there the best that I'm able to put in words", Tori sighed. "I hope she likes them."

"Tori, there is nothing that girl doesn't love about you."

"I know, but this is our wedding mom. I'm double worried about everything."

"As long as you don't pass out I think you'll be fine."

"Really?"

"Yes, Tori really."

"Thanks mom, you're the best", Tori hugged her mom, going to lay on the couch.

"You're welcome", Holly chuckled. Disappearing up the stairs.
