"Nice place you have here," Last-Dance said walking into the large room and looking round.

"Thanks!" Cyborg said pushing Beastboy out of the way just before he could speak. "I designed it myself."

"Good work," he said as Beastboy tried to push the half robot out of the way before turning into a gorilla and tossing him over the sofa.

"I may not have done this tower or owt but I have got top score on monkey racers!" he said pleased.

"No dude, Robin has top score on that," Cyborg said standing up.

"Well I have…" he said thinking. "I can make the best soy food in the whole of Jump City!"

"That's because you're the only person who makes it in the whole city," Cyborg said as Starfire laughed.

"Yeah, you would find that funny," he said as Starfire's eyes lit up, frightening the green teen. "Laugh all you want! Please, be my guest," he said in panic and hid behind Last-Dance, pulling the cloak over his green face.

Last-Dance gave a small laugh before Raven turned up. She just walked in and already noticed that Cyborg and Beastboy were arguing about something. Starfire was now interrogating Last-Dance and trying to find out about him while Robin stared at the hero in thought. Apparently, he didn't like something about the hero but it could have been the battle they all had all those years ago.

"Tell me friend, why do you dance last?" Starfire asked as he stared at her.

"Erm, I didn't get to pick the name," he admitted. "I guess the priest did or maybe someone down the line?"

"Say what? A priest?" Cyborg asked interested.

"Yeah, Last-Dance is tied into the church," he said. "They believe it is God's very will that runs through this mask and that a new hero will become Last-Dance when danger erupts."

"A new hero? So there has been more of you?" Robin asked as Last-Dance gave a nod.

"That explains how you've been spotted over the last hundred years or so," Raven said looking at him. "And this new danger is the Devil's hand? And you was chosen to stop them?"

"Correct," he nodded.

"Why you?" Robin asked, still looking deep in thought.

"Because of my history with them," he said as Robin nodded but still looked curious.

"So friend, where did you come from? Where are you staying? How long will you be here? Will you be my friend? Would you like some mustard?" Starfire asked as Last-Dance looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Mustard? Ew, I hate the stuff," he said as Starfire's grin faded and she looked at him quiet heart broken. "But, I'll be your friend if you like," he quickly added making Starfire look pleased as she nodded and hugged him tightly.

"This is glorious! You can have dinner with us and help us fight crime and…" she started before Last-Dance leaped out of her grip.

"No offence, but this won't be a long term deal," he said as all the Titans looked at him. "I'm here because of the Devils hand, not to join a team."

"But you will help us while your here?" Robin asked.

"I think after that last fight with the Hell hounds, we can confirm that they know Raven is what they have been looking for," he said looking to Raven. "I can't allow her to fall into their hands so for the time being, I will."

"Then for the time being, you can count on us to have your back too," Robin said.

"Thank you," he smiled before looking to the window. "It's getting dark, I need to go but I will return tomorrow."

"Oh really man? I was going to order pizza?" Cyborg said holding several takeaway menus.

"I'm sorry, maybe next time," he said before turning and heading out of the door.

Raven thought for a moment before fazing through the floor. She appeared out side of the tower, in front of Last-Dance who looked at her in curiosity. Both stood opposite from each other, just staring. Raven then stepped forwards.

"You going back to Tammy and Kim?" she asked as he tilted his head slightly before a small smile spred on his face.

"Would you like to go for a walk with me?" he asked as she raised an eyebrow.

"What?" Raven asked after a short pause.

"Just a short walk across the beach," he asked. "A lap round your tower?"

"I…" Raven said thinking. "Sure, I guess," she said shrugging. She couldn't understand this guy. First he was trying to leave and now he wants to walk on the beach.

They made it across to the beach and began to walk to across the shore as the sun began to set. It was a nice walk even though they both remained silent. After a while, they reached a small opening where rocks were spread out and the waves washed agenised them. Last-Dance helped Raven up on them and both sat down, looking out to the sea. Last-Dance then spoke.

"This is nice," he said with a grin. "I don't think I've been to a beach since I was last here," he said as Raven looked up at him.

"I need to talk to you," she said simply.

"About what?" he asked turning to look at her.

"Well, for starters, why did you kiss me?" she asked looking up at him.

"kiss?" he asked. "Oh, that kiss," he said realising. "Sorry about that."

"Why?" Raven asked curious.

"I was young and thought I could get away with stealing a kiss from such a beautiful creature," Last-Dance said earning a blush from Raven.

"Stop that," she said.

"Stop what?" he asked confused.

"That," she said looking forwards. "All that beautiful stuff," she said feeling embarrassed.

"Why? It's true," he said with a raised eyebrow as Raven fell silent. "I've never met anyone that I've felt so connected to before like I do you," he said as Raven looked down at her hands. "I'm sorry, was that too much?"

"No," Raven said with a sigh. "Cause I think I feel the same way," She admitted looking up at him. "Since that first time we met, I never really felt scared or worried. I just felt like... I've known you forever... sounds silly."

"It doesn't," Last-Dance objected.

The two locked eyes once more before something took over the both of them. Last-Dance leaned down and drew closer to Raven. Raven closed her eyes and tilted her head slightly to the side and felt his breath on her face till he stopped and drew back.

"I'm sorry," he said looking out to sea as Raven looked at him confused.

"What?" Raven asked looking confused.

"I... It's just that... This mask I wear is complealty that, a mask," he started. "You don't know the real me."

"I want to," Raven admitted after a short pause.

"And I want nothing more than to let you in but... I don't think you'll except me," he said looking to the see.

"Why?" Raven asked simply. "What could you have done so wrong that I wouldn't approve?"

"It's not what I've done, just... who I am. I'm sorry," he said then stood up. "I'll walk you back."

"No, don't worry about it," Raven sighed staying seated. "I'm going to stay here a little longer.

"Okay," he nodded turning to leave. "I'll see you."

Raven watched him go. She didn't know what to do or what to feel. She had felt like the two were getting so close and then, just like that, he had pushed her away. She say for a while but felt herself get more wound up thinking about it all so she stood and started making her way back to the tower. Still thinking about the hero, she came to the conclusion that she did indeed like him. She was looking forward to that kiss but he withdrew. He looked scared when he did. Maybe he was worried about what would happen next or something? The towers door came into view as her attention was turned to something hit her on the shoulder. She stopped seeing it was Ash.

"Hey, Ash" she said giving him a little stroke on the head. "Maybe you know what's up with him."

She gave the bird a smile as it crowed in happiness and was about to carry on her walk before a sudden pain hit her neck. The raven flew up. She looked at the raven then moved her hand to her neck to find a small, yellow dart.

"Oh no," she said then grabbed her communicator as she began to feel drowsy. She began to try and call through for help but before she could, she collapsed to the floor.

Else where, Last-Dance climbed into a window trying to keep quiet as he tip toed to the room but before he could open the door, the lights flickered on.

"What time you call this you dirty stop out," Tammy grinned with Kim stood next to her with her hands on her hips.

"It's really not that late," Last-Dance pointed out as he changed direction and turned to flop down on one of the seats in the kitchen.

"Oh, what's up sugar?" Kim asked as the two took seats either side.

"I hear you two had a visitor today," he said as the two exchanges looks.

"Are you trying to dodge round our question?" Tammy asked as he looked to her.

"She likes me," he said as the two gave a smile.

"That's good," Kim reassured.

"She doesn't know me though," he said simply as he took of the mask to reveal Ely. "Not the real me."
