"What happened?" Cyborg asked as Starfire carried in the bloodied Last-Dance as Raven and the rest of them followed.
"It was a trap," Raven explained as they began to head up to the infermary. "They knew he... she, was going to come after me."
"She?!" Robin asked looking at the hero. The blood was all over and made it hard to see any details on the face. It was clear that there was a large gash running from the top of the right side of her face leading down to the bottom of her cheek.
"Yes, she," Kim said following close behind. "And you need to let me help her."
"Are you a doctor?" Robin asked looking at her.
"No, she's a white witch," Tammy said as they reached the infermary. "She can heal her."
"A witch?" Robin asked looking at Raven who gave a shrug. It was the first time she heard anything about it.
"It's okay, I've helped her before," Kim reassured as Starfire put Last-Dance on the bed. "Give me a bit of time. She'll be fine."
"Right, we'll be down in the main room," Robin said as Kim gave a nod. "I'm sure Raven can tell us a little more about what happened so we can figure out where to go next."
"Nice, story time," Beastboy said happily as they headed back. As they entered the main room, most of the Titans say as did Tammy. All eyes were on Raven at this point.
"So what happened?" Robin asked after a moment of silence.
"I was tranqulized," Raven said simply. "Next thing I knew I woke up chained to a stone pillar in a really dark place that was lit up by candles."
"Where was this place?" Starfire asked curiously.
"I don't know," Raven said thinking. "It was cold and very drafty. Maybe a cave or something?"
"Why didn't you use your powers to get back here sooner?" Cyborg asked as Raven shook her head.
"I couldn't," she admitted. "There must have been something in the tranq dart that was keeping them at bay. I remember there was several of those Devils hand members there too...
Date: President
Time: few hours pride
Whereabouts: unknown
"She's waking up," one of the cloaked figures said standing in front of Raven.
"It's okay," a second said who was lighting a few candles. "I hit got her with enough juice that she won't be a problem."
"You sure?" The first asked. "I heard what she can do. She's dangerous."
"Not as dangerous as her Farther," a third said as he looked towards Raven. "Once Trigon is free, we'll be unstoppable," he said as Raven tried to look at him but was too weak.
"Well, I think we're done here," the second said as the last candle was lit. "We better get back to the boss and let him know."
"Oh, wait," the first said as he pulled out a syringe and stuck it in Raven's neck. She could do nothing as he drained a portion of her blood. "Almost forgot," he said as he headed over to the centre of the room and poured the blood over two set of bones that were laid out on the floor.
"Will that be enough?" The third asked watching him.
"Should be," the first nodded before they exited.
The area was then quiet. All that could be heard was the faint sound of the candles flames being whipped by the light breeze that ocasionly flew through. Raven tried to move but her body was not responding to her brain. To say she was scared was a understatement, she only hopped that the Titans would notice her disappearance and come find her. A few minutes passed when a small Raven suddenly came into sight as it flew towards her and landed on her shoulder.
"A... Ash?" She managed looking at the bird.
"Raven?" A family a voice asked as Raven looked up to see Last-Dance approaching her from the shadows. "Are you okay?" She asked as she reached her.
"I can't... move," Raven managed as Last-Dance removed the vile from around her neck.
"Drink this, its like a boost," she said opening it and pouring it into Raven's mouth. "Give it a few minutes to work then we'll go."
Raven gave a nod before spotting something behind Last-Dance. Two shadows. At first she thought the cloaked figures had come back before she realised it wasn't them.
"What's wrong?" Last-Dance asked seeing the panic in Raven' s eyes. She turned to see what Raven had spotted. "Oh," was all she said as the two pile of bones were now building themselves into skeletons.
Last-Dance grabbed her staff and stood between the forming skeletons and the chained Raven. Once all the bones connected together, the blood began to wrap round the bones to make flesh before two men stood before them. One picked up a knife and a trench coat that was left nest to him and the other a executioner axe and a black apron and black hood. It was only then that the man in the trench coat noticed the two.
"Last-Dance," he grinned in a old British accent.
"Last-Dance?" The other asked in a French accent as he turned to face the two hero's.
"Oh, I can't wait to gut you my boy," the Brit said holding up the knife.
"Is... Is that...?" Raven asked looking at the man in the jacket.
"Jack the Ripper," Last-Dance answered looking worried. "And the French Executioner. But you two are dead."
"Not anymore," Jack smirked. "I feel like a new man."
"J'aiattendusilongtempspourletuer!" The executioner growled gripping the heavy axe tightly.
"I know you have my good man," Jack said patting the axe welder on the back. "I've been waiting for my revenge too."
"Do you think you can teleport us out of here yet?" Last-Dance asked just loud enough for Raven to hear.
"No, I still feel too weak," Raven admitted although she did feel herself getting stronger.
"I'll keep them busy," Last-Dance said not taking her eyes off the two before spotting two other shadows lurking round. "Oh great, just what I need."
"What is is?" Raven asked unsure.
"Hell hounds," Last-Dance said as a black hound charged out from the shadows.
Last-Dance used her cane to thwart it away before the red hound leaped out. She darted forwards to avoid it. The black one was up and the two chased her as she ran towards. She leaped over Jack as the two hounds took out his feet trying to catch her. The executioner swung his axe as Last-Dance ducked down and skidded across the ground before stopping and turning to face him. She then ran and landed a round house kick hitting the executioner in the face. Jack then slashed forwards trying to cut her with the knife as she managed to move out of the way before grabbing the hand holding the weapon. She spun round lifting the hand up before slamming it down onto her shoulder.
"Ah, God dame it!" Jack called out in pain as he dropped the knife before she swung round and kicked him in the gut.
The two hounds then tried thier luck at attacking at the same time by coming from both sides. She only just rolled out of the way in time but the black hound managed to catch her leg with its sharp claws. She hissed in pain as she managed to get back on her feet as the executioner charged towards her with the axe above his head. She ran as quick as she could to get some distance before kicking off a wall and getting enough hight to leap up and over him. He skidded to a halt before swinging the axe round as she was landing and managed to catch her back. She gave a cry in pain as she hit the floor, landing on her knees as she grabbed her back.
"Last-Dance!" Raven called but she was still unable to call apon her powers. All she could do was watch as the executioner then approached the hero before raising the axe over his head
"Aurevoir, Last-Dance," he managed before he was about to make his final blow but Last-Dance was not finished yet as she grabbed her cane and forced it back to catch the executioner between the legs.
He released his axe as he dropped to his knees holding his privates. Last-Dance stumbled to her feet feeling the pain from the deep cut. She stumbled forwards before Jack and the two hounds approached her. They stood side by side with Jack in the centre. He spun the knife in his hand as he looked at her.
"Not looking too great there, mate," he grinned as the two hounds growled.
"Looks can be deceiving," she managed trying to sound as strong as she could.
"Well you'll look pretty dead when I remove all your organs," Jack chuckled to himself. "Oh, how I will enjoy this."
And with that, Jack lunged forwards with his knife outstretched. She side stepped out of the way. The red hound then leaped up at her as she ducked and lifted her cane to pierce the creature through it stomach. It hit the floor and howled in pain before combusting into flames. It gave Jack enough of a opening to slash the knife down and rip down her face cutting into the mask and her flesh. She grabbed her face as blood began to form, dropping down her chin.
"No!" Raven called as her eyes began to glow. She could feel her powers returning to her at last.
Jack gripped the knife in his fist before slamming it down into Last-Dance shoulder as she call out in agany.
"I've heard a lot about you you know?" He said kneeling down in front of her. "Like your immortal and you just keep coming back from the dead but you know what? I just come back from the dead too and I'm planning to out live you this time," he smiled darkly. "Now, who is it under the mask, hey?" He asked taking hold of the mask and pulling it off. "What the...?"
"Surprise," Last-Dance managed before she rolled back slightly and kick out with her foot hitting Jack in the face.
"My nose!" he called grabbing his face in pain as Last-Dance was able to scurry back a few feet.
As she tried to get back to her feet, the black hound had snuck over and was ready to pounce on Last-Dance when it instead bounced off a black force field that momentarily covered her. She looked up to see Raven with eyes glowing. She managed a relieved smile before the executioner called out. She looked over to see him stood up and grabbing his axe. He snarled as he ran towards with the axe held high over his head.
"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!" Raven chanted as the chains holding her ripped from the wall and lunged themselves round him leaving him powerless to react. Raven gave a smile feeling her powers take full control again. She then vanished in a mass black aura before appearing back kneeling next to Ely. "You okay?" Raven asked giving her a hand up.
"Awsome," she said sounding both warn out and weak. "You think you can get us out of here?"
"I think so," Raven nodded as they both was engulfed by black before vanishing.
"No!" Jack growled angrily looking at where they disappeared from.
"It's okay, Jack," a male voice echoed from the darkness as a man in a cloak appeared. The other three cloasked figures followed him.
"Who are you?" Jack asked looking at the man.
"I'm the one who brought the two of you back from hell," he said looking at him. "And this has actually worked out even better than I could have imagined," he grinned as Jack raised a eyebrow.
