A girl called Sara and a boy called Joseph attend a school of witchcraft and wizardry, Hogwarts. Sara has trouble having to cope with a school she never liked. But she made a few friends on the way and meets the boy who lived.

2. Going to Olivander's

Enchanted Child / chapter 2

With a sudden flash of flickering light. Sara was whooshed into the Olivander's fireplace. She stepped out of the fireplace with her mum and her brother following her. Once her family arrived, Sara picked up a newspaper and started reading it. Olivander's was a place to get your magic wands, the shelves were stacked high with little boxes containing those wands.

As Sara read on she read a title out loud, "the boy who lived?" There was a picture of a baby with jet black hair and a scar on his head. "Sara c'mon did you bring the letter?" asked her mum.

"Yes I have and it comes with a list of what we need" Sara holds out a piece of paper to her mother and her mother read it. "What's so important about the newspaper?" asked her brother with confusement. "It says about a boy who lived"

"Sara lets go and get you and joseph a wand for Hogwarts" said her mother, grabbing Sara and Joseph by the hand gently. They stood behind a boy with jet black hair and glasses, just like the boy in the newspaper. "Mother that boy looks like the boy in the newspaper!" said Joseph who was astonished.

They heard Mr Olivander speaking to the boy. "Here's a wand, 11 inches long, made of holly, phoenix feather core, go on, give it a wave!" After the boy turned around, it was clear it was Harry but Sara and her brother said nothing.

Once Harry had walked out of Olivander's, Sara and Joseph stepped forward to a counter. There was a man with a wrinkled face looking down at them. He had frizzy hair and some glasses on his nose. "You must be Joseph and Sara?" He said. "My name is mr Olivander and i help out in this shop, how may i help you today?"

Sara looked at him and said "We are here to get our wands! So we can go to Hogwarts". Olivander smiled at Sara "Sara? Step forwards because i have just the wand for you!" Mr Olivander held out a wand which was 11 inches long. "Unicorn hair and dragon's scales, go on give it a wave!" he cheered. Sara waved it around but the force of the wand blew the books off the top of the fireplace and into the flickering light. "Oops.. sorry!" Sara said. "It's alright!" he said. This time Mr Olivander held out a wand which was 11.5 inches long. "Try this one, Dragons blood and a core of a Stag". Sara clenched the wand, she felt a warming feeling reaching her hands and legs. "This one is the right one for you! 6 Galleons please!" Once Sara and Joseph finished at Olivanders, Joseph received a wand with Unicorn horns and dragons scales, the exact one that Sara didn't fit . Their next stop was Flourish and Blots.
