"Arthur…"
"Don't address me like that sorcerer! You don't have the right!"
Merlin felt like he had been punched in the stomach, so in pain was he from his friend's words, but they also brought out his own anger and bitterness.
"Really? Well if you haven't noticed sire, I did just save your life. And it wasn't the first time. The least I deserve is for you to let me explain."
Arthur only glared darkly at him, and let out a laugh at Merlin's last statement.
But there was no warmth in the sound.
It was bitter, angry, and dark.
