Besides, some tiny ordeals with the future pairings for this story, I think that I might be heading in the right direction with this. Especially with my bypassing all of the episodes that no one cares about or has no powerful meaning in them that they can be mainly overlooked. Though let me address this one more time in case those of you who read the last chapter missed the edits I did in the beginning Author Notes. I have no intention at ALL about changing up the canon relationships. I have full reign to do it, of course, but I'm not a GokuXBulma guy. I'm most definitely not a VegetaXChi-Chi guy. Not knocking those of you that are and there have been amazing stories I read that had those two but I'm not all for it myself. Plus, even though I like to write made-up stories, I can't help but to default a little to canon in some aspects. Like how I believe that Bulma wouldn't find Goku attractive at all until he becomes 18 since he'd be both too damn short, too immature, and too romantically dense. And even then, Bulma is with Yamcha during the Dragon Ball portion and when they break up, Goku will be with Chi-Chi. That's how I see why this pairing wouldn't actually work when you take the canon personalities into account, and as you guys know, even though Gohan is going to help Goku along with his mental capacity for understanding, he's still mostly OUR Goku. So there. Just leave that where it is.
Not to mention that with a GokuXBulma direction, my story won't flow with the ideas that I have. And it'll even also affect simple things, like Goku's living arrangements. Do you honestly think Bulma would live in the mountains? Goku loves it. Her? Not so much and I don't even think Goku is really all that much of a big city kind of guy.
New Points of View
"WHAT THE HELL, GOKU!? DO YOU HAVE EVEN THE SLIGHTEST IDEA OF HOW MAD I AM, RIGHT NOW!? I DO MY BEST TO BE HUMBLE AND HONOR YOU AND YOUR GRANDPA'S PIMITIVE HOSPITALITY AND YOU GO AND SCARE ME TO DEATH THE FOLLOWING NIGHT!? BECAUSE OF YOU, I WAS EVEN TOO SCARED TO GO TO THE BATHROOM! AND BECAUSE OF THAT YOU'RE STUPID PTERODACTYL FRIEND ALMOST TRIED TO EAT ME! AND NOW YOU JUST…" Bulma was venting out all of her frustration as she continuously slammed her no-longer injured foot into Goku's left pinky finger, though he didn't even feel a thing as she continued to do it. He was too busy forming a large sweatdrop on the back of his head at her futility of trying to injure him while she just kept on screaming her head off. Her face was even turning red. Oolong, Yamcha, and Puar had taken a few steps back and promised themselves to not get anywhere near her until she cooled down enough to the point where they believed she wouldn't yell at them either. Pretty soon, any remnants of her energy left her because of her earlier exhaustion making her place her hands on her knees and take deep breaths.
"Soooo…you done yet?" The massive gorilla asked simply though it still made Bulma glare up at him. Goku blinked owlishly, his question still in the air to be answered. Bulma sighed and nodded a few times before standing back up. "Yeah…I'm done."
"Good," he said before raising up his left hand and begin to pick at his left ear, "'cause you can yell loud. My hearing is a lot better like this. Guess it's not always a good thing after all."
Bulma crossed her arms and gave a huff, as she looked away. She felt as if she had every reason to yell! After Goku put her through mental trauma twice with this whole literal monkey business of his, she needed to let go of all of the frustration. So why not at the one who 'caused it? Seeing that his blue-haired companion was done throwing her rage around, Yamcha took a stand next to her which made her mellow out quiet a decent margin. He gave a nervous laugh as he rubbed the back of his head, looking up to his previously very short friend. "So, uh…Goku…giant gorilla monster, huh? Never would've guessed you could do something like...like this." He said, gesturing to all of him. Goku grinned and brought up both of his arms to flex them. "Yup! Pretty cool, huh? I've been able to do this since I was 3!"
They all jerked back a bit from his proclamation. Oolong shook his head and said, "You were how old!? And you could still do this!? Goku, just what in the hell are you!? Some kinda alien!?" Goku just blinked and shrugged his large shoulders, giving his answer. It made them sweatdrop since what just happened was anything but human and Goku sure as heck wasn't one.
Bulma cupped her chin in some of her fingers on her right hand. "I was thinking a science experiment gone wrong. Maybe some kind of gene splicing incident years ago, I mean, that's what I thought when I saw the tail was real…and now with all of this turning into a giant monkey…." Bulma tried to theorize but not able to come up with any probably solutions. Sure, gene splicing is showing a good margin of small successes in the higher up fields of science though that didn't say it was cheap and no one would volunteer for something so dangerous. The only progress in the making was on small to decently-sized animals. There's no way their world's current technology could make this kind of progress.
Puar looked to where the castle used to be. "Well whatever you are, you're even stronger than before! You completely destroyed that castle with that energy attack!"
Yamcha gave a grin and crossed his arms. "I'd be hard pressed to say that was even as strong as Master Roshi's Kamehameha Wave at Fire Mountain. Very impressive. A lot better than your earlier attempts from before." He said, which made Goku chuckle and nod.
"Yeah. I always get a lot stronger as a Great Ape. I've trained my hardest with grandpa so that I can use this giant body to fight like I always do," he said before he registered what Yamcha had told them, "wait a second, you were at Fire Mountain? Where? We didn't see you."
Yamcha gaped at his little slip up while Puar adopted the same look. They both just began to nervously laugh while Oolong gave them the stink-eye. "Hey! You two were following us the whole time, weren't you!? I have half a mind to…" he stopped when he realized that he forgot his gun in his destroyed RV but maybe this would give him an excuse to try his new powers. Maybe he'll turn into a giant monster ape himself and crush them underfoot or something; whatever to make him feel better. Yamcha shook his hands quickly as tried to appease the pig, while also trying to not look bad in front of Bulma, who was staring at him curiously.
"Okay! I admit it! We were following you guys from a distance. But it was only because I thought you lot were kinda interesting and all. I mean I've never seen a group persevere any of the things you guys did is all. So I figured that we could be allies instead of enemies. I mean me and Puar did our best to help you guys out didn't we?" He said, trying to cover up his recent misdeeds. Oolong still didn't look as if he fully trusted Yamcha or Puar with everything they put them through. That RV wasn't cheap in anyway, and it'll take a while for him to build up enough money for him to get a new one. He could always go back to his palace but who knows what the villagers were doing or going to do to it. Maybe those damn leeching girls already took his most valuable possessions in there or used it as their new 'club house'. He sighed as he realized he'd have to start from the bottom up but smirked when he thought of the possibilities for the future. He'd definitely would have to give his shape-shifting a test run.
Bulma smiled with a loving sigh as she adored how nervous looking Yamcha was. It seemed no matter how he looked, he could just make it handsome. "I believe you Yamcha~. And thank you for all the help you've been giving us both in the other village and tonight."
He blinked in confusion. "Uh, the 'other' village?"
"When we were dealing with that rabbit guy. I told her how you and Puar helped me get her back," Goku interjected before he gave a big grin, "I knew you were a nice guy deep down. I'm glad we're good friends now." Yamcha and Puar just gave another nervous laugh but this time at how lucky they are. If they were still Goku's enemies up to this point then they were sure that they would be on the receiving end of this giant's wrath, just like Pilaf, his goons and that castle. Also the fact that Goku was a tad naïve seemed to help a lot too, meaning that he fully trusted the two of them. Not like they were planning on doing anything to these guys anymore anyway. There's nothing like bonding together when you're being raided and threatened with the thought of death at multiple occasions, right?
Bulma dropped her sappy look for Yamcha and turned to Goku, getting back into her analytical mindset. "But still Goku, this is even more bizarre than you usually can be and that's definitely saying something. I think to get down to the bottom of this I should run some tests."
"What kind of tests?" The massive gorilla asked while Bulma fiddled for her pocket and pull out of small but noticeable cylindrical object. "Nothing too serious or anything like that. I'm just going to need to get a blood sample from you to study." She moved her left hand to the top of the object where it capped off to show a pointy 2-inch needle.
"Uh, why do you carry that around?" Oolong asked, while Bulma just gave a small smile to him. "Well I've always got to be prepared for anything. And you never know when you might have to do some intense bio science later on, so I carry a couple of these things around just in case." Though while those two spoke, Goku visibly jerked hard when he saw the syringe, which spooked the others and caught their attention. He leaned backwards and raised his right arm to his chest, his red eyes widening the more he stared at it.
"Is….is that….a needle!? Y-you're not gonna stick that into me, are you!?"
Bulma blinked in confusion before she started to laugh near-uncontrollably. Oh, wow! This was too rich! No way in hell was Goku, the kid who tanks bullets, one-shots monsters and turns into a massive ape before blowing up a castle, scared of something as insignificantly dangerous as a needle. She placed a hand on her hip as she held it higher to him, making him yelp. Yamcha, Puar and Oolong were in disbelief at what they were watching before them.
"Oh, you can't honestly be serious Goku? This tiny little thing has you scared? It's a needle! In my opinion, swords or guns or even fire is a lot scarier than this thing!" Bulma told him, the smirk not disappearing but the Great Ape shook his head back and forth continuously to show his disagreement.
"Nu-uh! Needles are definitely the worse! They're tiny weapons that can sting like bees, which I hate! And they're made to stick inside of you and they're so pointy! I know! Grandpa tried taking me to a doctor when I was little and he brought out a super large one and stuck in my butt!"
'Wow, that sounded so wrong.' The four thought with massive sweatdrops and the unintentional innuendo, though still couldn't get over the fact that Goku was freaking the hell out over this. It was both funny and sad to see.
"I hope our future enemies don't learn about our shining knight's 'weakness'" Oolong said, giving finger quotes as Goku continued to jumble on and on about the dangers of tiny, or large, needles. Bulma decided to take an extra step closer but Goku wasn't having any of that. He popped the hell up and backtracked, waving his hands on front of his sweating face.
"Nope! No way! You aren't putting that thing anywhere near me!"
Bulma rolled her eyes. "Goku, be reasonable. For one, I'm pretty sure this little thing isn't going to hurt you. For another, you're being ridiculous here. Me studying a sample of your blood can be the only way to figure out even a little bit more about how all of this monkey stuff even happens to begin with. Aren't you curious to know yourself?"
"Not if it involves shoving that in my butt!" He said pointed a massive finger to the tiny needle, which made Bulma give a mix between an angry and an embarrassed blush while Oolong began to laugh this time. Yamcha and Puar couldn't hold back the giggles at how weird Goku was making this for himself.
"WILL YOU STOP SAYING THAT!? GEEZ!" Bulma screeched as she gave a huff and shrugged. Well, there was one other thing she could try. She raised the syringe up for Goku to see before she capped it back and put it in her pocket. "There? Did you see that Goku? It's gone now. I put it away."
Goku was still a bit shaken up as he audibly gulped. "N-no more needle?"
Bulma nodded with a fake kind smile. "No more needle. Now can you get back over here, big guy? No more running away from needles."
Goku gave a smile himself as he felt a massive weight lift from his shoulders. He practically pranced back to his spot, making the ground shake before he plopped to his rear and made the others jerk a bit into the air and fall over. He gave a big sigh and rested his head back, which Bulma noticed before she moved into action. He rushed over to his leg, which was actually pretty close, brought of the syringe, uncapped it and drove it into the thick fur. She felt it pierce the flesh a tiny bit before she pressed a button on the side and drew out enough blood to fill the capsule entirely. Removing it, she placed the cap back on and put it into her pocket. "Thanks for understanding Bulma. Sorry but…I just don't like needles is all. Too scary for me." He said when he looked down and found Bulma, this time with a reassuring smile, rub the spot that she just stabbed as if trying to console him.
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry Goku. I understand. Don't worry. I'm not going to put you through something like that even again. I respect you too much." Goku gave a big fanged smile at his friend while Oolong shook his head at how crafty this chick was. Okay, it was definitely time two switch up his options when it comes to picking his woman or hopefully, women. He nearly drooled at the thought of using his new powers to be able to actually get a harem for himself without a wish, but if he ever did, it sure wouldn't be 300. He'd cut it down to…maybe 30 being a reasonable amount. But first, he'd have to snag one to kick start that goal. "Anyway, how long is it gonna be until you turn back to normal?"
"Until the moon goes down."
"So we need to wait until morning? Guess we've got no choice then but to just sit here and wait." Oolong said as he sat down, along with the other three. After a night like this once, sitting down and relaxing seems to be the thing they need to get their bearings. After a few minutes there was a large rumbling noise that caught their attention. They weren't even alarmed as they looked to the massive monkey rubbing his belly and giving a low rumble in his throat. "Ugh. I'm hungry. Do we have anything to eat?"
"Um, I think there was food….in the castle but…" He looked to the castle, erm, where the castle used to be and scratched the back of his head. He looked to Goku and saw the ape's mouth was dropped open as his eyes were widened as he looked over to the crater and threw his hands on the top of his head.
"NOOOOOO! WHY DID I DO THAT!? I SHOULD'VE LEFT SOME OF IT UNBROKEN!" With a giant groan of defeat the large ape fell to his back and began to whimper as his stomach growled again, which made his whimpering louder and continued through the rest of the night. After hours of waiting, and Goku falling into a hunger-induced sleep, the sun finally came up giving rise to a new day. Two of the still-awake occupants watched as they saw the giant snoring ape begin to slowly shrink back down until Goku was back to normal, and of course, without any clothes. Yamcha looked to the clothes and the Power Pole that were beside him on the ground, fully understanding why Goku removed them when he did. Otherwise, he wouldn't have anything to wear once he changed back. Puar was asleep on the other side of the stone formation they were by. Goku began to turn in his sleep which alerted the others that he was about to wake up. He sat up and gave a loud yawn, stretching his arms.
"Goodness." He said as he looked to Oolong, who stood beside him. "Good morning, kid." Oolong greeted.
"Hi." Goku said while giving a big smile, feeling pretty recovered from yesterday.
"So feeling light-hearted this morning, are we, even after last night?" Oolong asked.
"Yeah," Goku exclaimed as he stood up, "but…I'm still hungry. I'm gonna have to eat again soon." He sighed as he rubbed his aching stomach, while Yamcha grabbed his clothes and moved to give them to the nude boy. "Hey, thanks Yamcha." He said as he began to get dressed.
"No problem Goku. I'm still amazed that you could do something like that though. And you seriously have no idea how you do it?" Yamcha asked while Goku tightened his white belt around his waist and placed his Power Pole on his back. "Nope. I just look at the full moon and it happens. Like I said, I don't get it…but it's so cool!"
Oolong snorts and says, "Sure, it's cool on our side because we ain't the ones you were trying to stomp on. Not even shape-shifters have THAT kind of power backing them up. But you won't see me complain about either of those things."
Goku blinked and looked to him. "That's right. You made on a wish to the Eternal Dragon that you would be the best shape-shifter ever. So did it work? What can you do now?" Oolong crossed his arms and shrugged.
"No idea…yet. But when I get some free time I'm sure gonna test it out and hope that I didn't get ripped off."
"What are you talking about? It was a giant magic dragon. Why would it do something like that?" Bulma asked him, making Oolong look to her.
"Look, we all should know about the rules to making wishes, right? Sometimes wising for something can make it backfire and come bite you in the ass later. Like wanting to be famous or wanting to have a har-erm-anyway, I just tried to be as specific as I can so I could make the wish work more for me than against me. And if something about me is even more screwed up than before…than I at least don't want anyone to be around to see it." Oolong explained in a way that Bulma and Yamcha understood, which surprised them. They had no idea this perverted pig could be capable of such a deep thought in regards to something that wasn't women. Goku kinda understood himself. Not entirely but enough to know that Oolong basically just wants his wish to work right and not be embarrassed if it didn't. "Anyway…what are we gonna do now? We can't look for the Dragon Balls for a whole year, so I guess we should just go our separate ways, huh?"
Bulma placed her arms behind her head and looked up in thought. "Well yeah, that seems like the thing to do." Yamcha bent down and began to poke a Puar. "Hey. It's time to wake up my furry little friend." Puar's eyes slowly opened as she gave a loud yawn and looked up to see Yamcha before smiling.
"Good morning, Yamcha."
Yamcha gave a smirk and nodded. "Morning, Puar. Time to get up now." She nodded and stretched before getting to her feet. Yamcha stood back up while he and Bulma began to contemplate on what they were going to try and do for another year until the Dragon Balls would become active again.
"Oh, well. I guess it's going to be a whole year before I can have my wish granted for a new boyfriend." Bulma wondered aloud while Yamcha was in the process of thinking as well.
He cupped his chin and gave a hard look. 'So I've got to spend another year acting like a lunk-head every time a pretty girl comes around. I'll never get a girlfriend.' However, in the moment both teens snapped out of their thoughts and looked to each other as if the same brainwave sparked through them both. A few seconds later they both grew large smiles before they got closer and held hands before they began to laugh and prance around without a care in the world. Oolong grew annoyed quickly at the two overly-happy couple as he snorted in annoyance while Puar was smiling at laughing as well; happy for Yamcha for having found a girlfriend in Bulma. Not in any way he always romanticized about when he spoke of how he would get one but that didn't matter at this moment. The dancing had to have been contagious because she began to hop and prance around too. Goku was the only one who didn't understand what was going on with his taller friends and why they started acting so strange. He wondered if they started hearing music but he knew that wasn't possible since his hearing was incredibly sensitive. He just chalked it down to that they were celebrating after their victory over Pilaf. Yamcha accidentally grazed Bulma's shin with his foot which made her wince. He gasped and tried to remedy it but she just placed a gentle hand on his shoulder and spoke sweet things to him about her being fine and that he was her savior. Yamcha most definitely did a 180 compared to how he was before. In the past all the way up to last night he'd have been a stuttering mess after such contact but he just gave Bulma a charming smile for the praise.
Oolong gave a loud cough into his hand and crossed his arms. "Ahem! I don't mean to interrupt you guy but, um…" The two blushed in embarrassment and stood up straight, though Yamcha just gave a goofy laugh to hide his nervousness at showing such close affection to the others. Bulma smiled and said, "I think Yamcha and I decided that we'd like to spend a little more time together. So why don't we all go back to the city? Pretty cool idea, huh?"
Goku smiled and said, "That sounds good. But I think I wanna head back home to grandpa and tell him about all of the adventures that I've been on and the people I've met. I really wanna tell him about how I even met Master Roshi and the Ox King too. Then after that, I'm going to head to Master Roshi and train just like grandpa did. I wanna get strong."
The others turned to look at him in surprise at what the boy desired since they're quest was technically complete. Especially with all of the power that he had displayed to them already, it was hard to believe that he wanted to get even more powerful. "But Goku, you're the strongest kid I know." Bulma said.
Oolong raised an eyebrow. "Not to mention, uh, you can turn into a giant freaking ape kid! An ape that can spit laser beams! What the hell could top that!?"
Goku looked to Bulma and Oolong. "But that's just it you guys. Even though my grandpa did all he could to train me, there wasn't a lot I could do against the Ox King or when we were captured last night and being hungry just made me even weaker. Being a Great Ape is super fun and all but I can't always rely on using that form all the time, especially since there isn't much that can stop me like that anyway. It's also only for emergencies. My grandpa did his best to help me train that too but there isn't much I can do to get that body stronger either nowadays. So if I want to be better I'm going to have to train with the best and that means going to Roshi." The others were surprised at how logical Goku sounded when he explained his reasons for wanting to keep training. They didn't know the boy had it in him to think that deeply at his situations, just like Oolong. Yamcha, Bulma and Puar decided that they better watch out for the two of them or they could really catch them off guard when they don't expect it.
"Oh, that makes sense. Guess you do need to keep getting better then." Bulma said impressed while Yamcha nodded with a 'Mm-hmm'. She then pointed to the pig of the group. "And what about you Oolong?"
He looked to her. "Well I don't know. Do you think I look like a big-city pig?"
She smiled and said, "Are you kidding? You'll be the talk of the town. Why not?"
Oolong gave a small smirk. "Alright, fine. Guess I'll go. You guys need me. But I'm gonna have to head back to my mansion first. I need to get all of my belongings from there and then sell the place since I won't need it anymore. I could use the money to get me an apartment or small house."
"Hey, once we get back home I can have some help to fly over and move it all and get you settled. But if you get yourself a home then what are you gonna do for rent or bills?"
Oolong shrugged. "Don't know yet but I'll think of something. I'm a pretty resourceful guy and all. But thanks for offering to help."
Bulma shook her head. "It's no problem. Sure, you've been a pain since you came along but you've also helped out a lot too and if it wasn't for you then you then who knows what kind of world we'd be living in if Pilaf made his wish. So moving stuff out of your old place is a LOT simpler than what we've all gone through."
"Hehe, thanks Bulma." Oolong chuckled as he rubbed his head. Okay, maybe she wasn't so bad when she wanted to be. Not that he'd fully accepted her as a friend still since that goddamned pill and its effects are in his system. Until she gets friendly enough to make something to cleanse this curse she afflicted him with, Oolong felt could never fully accept Bulma. Something like that just isn't forgotten so easily.
Goku perked up. "I know, when a year goes by let's go look for the Dragon Balls again!"
Yamcha and Bulma both blushed and covered their mouths. "We don't need Dragon Balls anymore Goku." Bulma snickered as she and Yamcha went back to their laughing-prancing fest.
"Ugh. Despicable." Oolong spat as he was forced to watch the two new lovebirds even more, while Goku, once again, was confused on why Bulma and Yamcha were acting so strange. When the two of them calmed down they all felt that it was time to get out of the badlands. Yamcha pulled out a capsule and tossed it, which exploded into a plane. His, Bulma's, Oolong's and Puar's ride to Bulma's place. They all gathered around the plane while Yamcha opened the hatch. He turned to Goku, bent down and extended his hand.
"I guess this is good-bye Goku. I want you to become as strong as Master Roshi, okay?" Goku extended his own hand and shook Yamcha. "Okay!"
"You know I'll never forget you Goku." Bulma said caringly.
He laughed before he turned and called for the Nimbus, which showed up just a second after it was called. When it was right in front of him his plopped right on. "Alright Nimbus, to Mt. Paoz and step on it!" He lifted a little into the air as Oolong raised his fists.
"You got get'em, kid!"
"You too, Oolong!"
The other four got into the plane as Yamcha closed the hatch before he started it up. It drove across the ground a bit before it picked up enough momentum to lift into the air, bringing the wheels inside of it. The plane took off high with Goku following it with his Nimbus. His friends all gave their final good-bye's with Goku doing the same as the cloud and plane separated and flew off in opposite directions. Goku grinned. "I never knew life could be such a neat adventure. Grandpa was definitely right! I'll tell him everything," he exclaimed before pointing forward, "go!" The Nimbus picked up even more speed as it blasted through the air, with its destination being Goku's home.
Gohan was crouched down tending to his small vegetable field path and he had a basket full of radishes and beats beside him. Grabbing at the stem he gave a hard yank and ripped a basketball sized beat from the earth with no issues, before placing it in the basket. Finished his gardening he stood up and looked at what he had gathered up. He gave a nod when he saw that it was filled to the brim meaning that he would have a lot left over for the next day and the day after…and so on until next week. He sighed. "Honestly, I'm so used to having my boy around that I subconsciously grow more food than I know what to do with. I wonder how he's doing?" He mused to himself for a little bit before his ears twitched to a sound in the distance.
"Grandpa! Hey, grandpa! I'm back!"
What…could it have really been…
Gohan turned around and looked everywhere but he couldn't see anyone anywhere. Was that really Goku or was he just losing his mind? Somehow he gained the sense to look up. The shock could not have been more real. Goku was up there flying towards him! But the object that he was flying atop of…there is no way that he could've gotten the Nimbus Cloud! "That means that he had to met Master Roshi!" Gohan deduced before he rose his arms and began to wave at him. "Goku! Down here!" Goku laughed before he shot down to the ground and stopped right in front of Gohan, only to jump off of the Nimbus and glomp his grandpa, making them both fall to the ground laughing. Gohan rubbed his grandson's head making the boy look up to him. "Goku! It's great to see you again sonny! I've missed you a lot, you know?"
"I missed you too grandpa! I'm glad to be back home!" Gohan got Goku off of him so that he would be able to stand properly. Dusting himself off he gave a once-over to the Nimbus. "The Flying Nimbus…I can't believe that this is in your possession Goku. That must mean that you've met Master Roshi, doesn't it? He's the only one you could've gotten it from."
Goku gave a nod while keeping his smile. "I sure did. He was pretty strange but he's really strong. He even had a Dragon Ball that he gave to Bulma while he gave me the Nimbus for helping out his Turtle."
Gohan smiled. "Ah, Turtle. Nice to see that he's still doing fine. No doubt doing his best to keep master in line. Poor guy can just never seem to catch a break if I know my master well enough. And speaking of Bulma, where is your new lady friend?"
"Bulma left to go home, I think." Goku replied.
"Home? You know what? How about you tell me all of your adventures inside of the house. I can make the two of us lunch after such a long time and you must be starving." Goku' belly chose the moment to begin rumbling signaling that he was still famished after not having anything to eat for a while. He gave a small laugh and nodded telling the Nimbus that it could fly away until Goku called it again. It did while Gohan had grabbed the basket of vegetables as he and Goku walked into the house. Goku removed his power pole and shoes as he got comfortable in his house after being away from it for so long. Gohan sat down the basket as he brought out cooking utensils and supplies before he began to cook. As he did he asked Goku to describe everything that's happened on his adventures, which Goku did to the best of his ability. Surprisingly, he was able to nearly perfectly describe everything that's happened to all that he heard and bore witness too, which was quite a bit from how he his mouth just didn't want to stop moving. Gohan had to slow him down a few times when the boy talked too fast from getting too excited. He spoke of how he and Bulma were hunting for the other Dragon Balls and the people they met and the things they learned along the way. How they met Oolong, Yamcha, Puar, Goku learning the Kamehameha from witnessing Roshi do it, as well as meeting the Ox King. Gohan was surprised to hear that his sibling student even encountered Goku as well and the two even fought but Goku told of how he couldn't do anything to him. Gohan nodded, knowing that sounded right. While he never learned to tap into his Ki like Gohan did, his friend most definitely still had the muscle and stamina that came with learning the Turtle Hermit Style. His massive body just added onto it.
"Then he asked me to help him find his daughter Chi-Chi. She was a little strange herself but very nice. Though the Ox King said something about 'marry' I think." Goku said which made Gohan's eyes shoot open as he burned his finger a little on the pot that he was using to boil the vegetables. He yelped before he rushed over to where a pale of cold water was and dunk his hand inside of it, before giving a relieved sigh. "Grandpa, are you okay?"
Gohan gave the boy an incredulous look. "Am I okay!? Goku, did the Ox King honestly not tell you about what he intends for you and Chi-Chi to go through!?" Goku just shook his head while Gohan grumbled to himself. 'Oh, curse that man. Trying to decide such things for my grandson…and without my consent!' Feeling the numbness in his finger go away and removed his hand from the pale and walked over to Goku with an unsure expression.
"Grandpa, I don't understand. What's 'marry', anyway? Is it some kind of food he wants me and Chi-Chi to eat?" Goku asked with a tilt of the head. Gohan shook his own in disbelief. The poor naïve boy. Gohan knew he should've given Goku 'the talk' when he came of age. Oh, well. Better late than never, right?
"No, Goku. That's not at all what marry is. It's a commitment and a powerful one at that."
"Commitment? What kind of commitment?"
"Young man…I believe that's it about time that I gave you a…special talk." He walked over to his bed and patted the area beside him. Goku hopped from his seat and walked over to sit where Gohan wanted him too. "Now…Goku…when young boys like yourself and young girls begin to grow older and come of age…"
30 Minutes later
Gohan was patting Goku's shoulder as he was sitting in a corner in the fettle position as he rocked back and forth. He was mumbling a little to himself making Gohan sigh. He never would've imagined that this was the reaction he was going to get from the boy. But it was very much necessary. Who knows what would've happened if he allowed Goku to go back out into the world ignorant of women and how they intimately interact with men? Lord knows how he would react if Gohan explained about same-sex relationships. One thing at a time.
"Goku…how are you feeling?" Gohan began to rub Goku's back as the monkey-tailed boy took a deep breath.
"Like…my innocence is lost." He meekly replied.
Ouch. That one hit Gohan in the heart for sure. Goku knew that he could never, ever, EVER look at women the same way every again. A spark went off in his head as he thought back to Oolong and how he always liked to talk about wanting girls and blushed when he spoke. Good lord…he wanted those women in his original wish…so he could do that!? With all of them!? Another moment popped into his head when he removed Bulma's panties and now he was the one who was blushing like crazy. Mostly in embarrassment because of the fact that he knows entirely what a woman's private areas are for now and that's how they're supposed to be. And with how Gohan also explained about how there is a thing called 'sexual harassment' in the world then Goku unintentionally did a very bad thing. Not that he told Gohan that he took off her underwear when she was sleeping, he just came to that conclusion himself. Now he felt the need to apologize to her all over again. On second thought…maybe not. He apologized before and he knew that it was an inappropriate thing to do after Bulma scolded him. So since she just wanted them to drop it, he figured that it'd be best to not open up old wounds like that.
But in regards to marrying Chi-Chi…
"Grandpa," Goku started, "the Ox King wants me…to marry Chi-Chi. To live together with her…and have babies?" Gohan nodded which made Goku cover his face with his hands and give a light groan into them. "This is…this is all so weird grandpa."
"I know it is. But you'll get used to it with time. Just know that I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I allowed you to keep traveling the world ignorant of these things. You've proven to me that you are growing into a fine young man and ladies might want to try and get…close to you in that way," Goku removed his hands from his face and looked to him, "I just don't want you to misunderstand these signals and to not unintentionally give any unless you wanted to do so."
Goku looked a bit confused. "Other ladies? But…aren't I marrying Chi-Chi?"
Gohan pondered his words for a moment before speaking. "You can if you want too…but you don't have too if you don't. Remember, this wasn't even your choice. The Ox King is just old-fashioned like that; he's from an era where arranged marriages happened a lot. But if you don't want to marry his daughter then you should let them both know before-hand."
Goku thought over his grandfather's words for a moment. He scratched the back of his head as he tried to think of what he wanted to do about this mess. He was new to the whole relationship ordeal and he used to think that there wasn't a situation that couldn't be solved with some fists flying about. But this? Gosh, he was so turned around. "I don't know if…I mean I actually like Chi-Chi. She's a little strange and all but not bad. I still don't know a lot about this marriage thing so I'm going to have to think about it."
Gohan smiled and pat Goku on his head. "That's alright. You're still young Goku. You shouldn't be thinking about when and why you would marry someone anyway. You've got a lot of time until something like that comes around. You just continue to focus on your training and adventures." He saw that the lunch he prepared for him and Goku was finished as he went over to the pot. He grabbed some bowls and began to fix them some vegetable soup with plates of corn and some meat. "Speaking of which…you told me that Master Roshi allowed you to train with him, huh?"
Goku gave a smile and nodded his head. He moved over to the small dining areas as Gohan sat down the food. "Yeah, he did. Since my friends all decided to head to where Bulma lives and stay there, I figured that I should go back to Master Roshi's home and take him up on his offer." Goku began to lay into his meal, with Gohan taking him time like a normal person.
"Well you're in good hands then. As perverted as the man can be, he's a very incredible teacher. He can teach you things even I couldn't. You want to gain more strength, he's the one for the job. So are you heading out today?"
Goku, already on his 10th bowl and plate nodded. "I wanted to get there as early as I could but I wanted to spend some time with you for a while. When I'm done eating, I'm going to pack up my stuff and fly over."
"Well then Goku, do you mind if I tag-along with you?" Goku's eyes widened considerably at the request as he also got a pretty confused look.
"But how come you want to come along grandpa?"
"No particular reason. It's just been so long since I've seen Master Roshi and Turtle, so I just want to drop in; see how they're doing and all. Then I'll leave you to your training after me and the master have caught up."
Seeing the reason better now, Goku smiled and nodded. So with that plan in mind the two finished their lunch while Goku told Gohan the rest of his adventures. Goku and Gohan grabbed Goku's blanket, pillow and spare clothes before they left the house. Gohan locked the door as Goku called for the Nimbus. Goku hopped right on top but wondered if his grandpa could do the same. He hopped he could since there wouldn't be any way for him to get back home unless he took the spinning turtle Roshi used to get to Fire Mountain. He was relieved when Gohan hopped right up beside him and sat down with his legs crossed. With another smile, Goku commanded the Nimbus to take off and head to Roshi's.
After a decent amount of flying the Son family was soaring over the ocean waters. Pretty soon Roshi's house appeared in the distance before they descended down to it. The Nimbus hovered over the sandy terrain as Goku grabbed his stuff and held it over head before the two hopped right off. Goku looked to the Nimbus. "Now you stay right there, Nimbus. Grandpa's gonna need you to go back home, okay?"
The cloud gave a light puff which probably meant that it understood. Goku then turned towards the house. "Hello!? Master Roshi!? I'm here! And I even brought grandpa this time!" The two walked up to the door but they didn't hear anyone sounding as if they were coming. Gohan then proceeded to knock on it decently hard.
"Master Roshi!? Are you home!?" He called out but after waiting for half a minute there wasn't an answer.
"Where is he?" Goku asked as he placed his stuff down on the small porch. Soon after he done that there was some music that they could hear from the window. Looking to each other they both moved from the door to the open window and peered inside. Gohan couldn't help but sigh as they caught Roshi staring heatedly at a female-only exercise show of some sort, with the females doing leg-lifts. Roshi hypnotically repeating the '1,2' steps that the lead woman chanted to her viewing audience. He giggled in a perverted manner as his head bobbed to the music…or the woman's leg. Both Goku and Gohan had mixed reactions about watching this. Goku couldn't help but blush a tiny bit in embarrassment at seeing the women on screen in some pretty revealing clothing while their legs rose up and down. Why, oh, why did his grandpa have to tell him exactly what the female lower extremities were for!? Hell, same with boys like him and how the two…you know…worked? He shivered in slight disgust at the whole baby making process. Gohan just gave an audible sigh and shook his head, seeing that his master hadn't changed in any way.
"Guess we use the window." Gohan said as he propped his arms on the window sill, hopped up and swung his legs around before landing. Goku mimicked him as they both walked over to Roshi. Goku was going to try and catch his attention but Gohan had a better idea. He waked right around to Roshi's other side, right up to the television and committed one of the most dastardly, evil, ungodly action Roshi had always reprimanded him for.
He hit the power button.
The reaction was instantaneous.
"GAAAAAAHHH! NOOOOO! MY LEGS, I MEAN MELONS, I MEAN SHOW! MY SHOW!" Gohan rolled his eyes and the over-dramatics.
"It's nice to see you haven't changed at all master…I think." Gohan said, finally catching Roshi's attention. His eyebrows turned up in surprise before narrowing as he grit his teeth and stood up.
"Of course! I should've known only you could do something so…so despicable Gohan! Who else could!? Turtle knows better, and your buddy, Ox, wouldn't even dream of disrespecting me in such a horrible way!" Roshi's eyes lit with flames of anger and passion as he balled his fist up while Gohan just sweat-dropped and leaned back a bit. Goku looked between the two old men in a confused manner but understood enough to know that Roshi didn't appreciate having his female only show turned off.
"I do respect you master and you know I can appreciate any gorgeous woman as well. Except you kinda never learned self-control. Plus, I know how you are when you get into your shows. A trance unless someone either yells in your ear or turns off the TV, and even when someone yells you just get back to watching." Gohan explained as Roshi stomped his foot like a child.
"At least with that option I can keep watching until it's over! Have you no shame!?"
Gohan scratched his head. "Well…it was irritating when you'd watch exercise channels than to be attentive to me and Ox's training, so I had to do what I had to do."
Roshi gave a huff, his anger dropping down. "Well…it was about to be over in a minute or two anyway so I can't be too upset. But besides that…it's been ages since I've seen you Gohan! I've heard from your grandson that you've been doing well as well as training him in the ways of martial arts." His attention moved to Goku when he stepped in front of the man with a big smile. "Oh! You've come back Goku!"
Goku nodded once. "Yeah! Me and my friends are done with our adventure so I decided to start training with you. I heard from grandpa that you can teach me the same things you taught him."
Gohan decided to interject. "I also asked him to take me here, just so that I can see him off as well as meet and old friend. Though I haven't seen Turtle around though."
Roshi huffed. "Yeah, well…that party pooper is taking his vacation. You won't see him back here in a while. Forget about him though. We have some catching up to do, and letters don't do the same compared to speaking face-to-face."
Gohan nodded. "You're right. I can spare some time until I take my leave," he turned to Goku, "Goku, how about you explore the house? Since you're going to be staying here you should at least know the layout of it. But no eating things in the kitchen. Me and the master are going to speak in private for a little bit."
"Okay grandpa. I understand." And with that, the monkey-tailed boy walked over to the door and unlocked it. He opened it so he could bring in his possessions before heading upstairs. Gohan and Roshi then walked out the door themselves and moved to the edge of the tiny beach. They stared out into the vast ocean as a range from small to large waves rolled around in the distance. Roshi took a deep breath before he began to speak.
"You've raised a fine young man, Gohan. He's taken to your teachings very well."
Gohan gave a small smile. "I know. I'm glad for that too. Though as you know, I haven't taught him all that much about the Turtle Hermit Style. I've done all I could while switching upon other subjects and methods I figured were essential for him to learn."
"Like I said, you did good. But I'm guessing that the reason you never took his training to the next level was because you wanted me to train him personally. Or am I wrong?"
Gohan gave a light laugh at being found out so easily. "Nope. You caught me. But that's only because I believe that you're still a much more capable teacher. I've done my best to give Goku the essentials, both in fighting and in mind. I just ask for you to polish his skills in ways he never could is all."
Roshi turned to Gohan fully and chuckled, with a gleam in his glasses. "Are you forgetting who you're talking too? I'm Master Roshi, the strongest man in the world. Granted, I'm old but I'm definitely not out of the game. I'll do more than just polish the boy. The next time you see him, he'd probably would be stronger than even you, Gohan."
This time it was Gohan's turn to chuckle before it became a small laugh. "Well I sure do hope so. Both me and Goku want him to do better. So I leave him in your capable hands master," Gohan's eyes slightly narrowed which made Roshi raise an eyebrow, "though two things. One…I gave Goku 'the talk' not too long ago- "he wasn't able to fully finish the sentence as Roshi's grin tried to split his face and he gave a light hop.
"Hot dog! So he knows all about the birds and the bee's, does he!? That's perfect Gohan! I'll be able to help him in that area since he's a growing boy as well as him understanding whatever I want in that area too," he made gripping motions with his hands as he drooled, "so, heheh~. If I…need the boy to be my wingman…or if I ask him to fetch me a pretty girl, then he'll know what to look for. So I can- "
"MASTER, THAT'S ENOUGH!" Gohan yelled to Roshi, which made the older man jerk in fright at the tone. Gohan wasn't one to yell a lot since he was such a mellow man. Even Roshi knew to listen to him whenever he got like this. "Do you honestly have no shame at all!? For one, like I was saying, I gave him the talk…and he was traumatized to by the reality of it!"
The words were like a bomb to Roshi. Traumatized!? How could that be possible!? He blinked and leaned in closer to Gohan. "EHH! What does that mean!? How can he not understand the joys of women!?"
Gohan's face became pure stone. "Master…he…is…A TWLEVE-YEAR-OLD! WHAT DID YOU EXPECT HIS REACTION TO BE!?" Roshi sweat-dropped as he jerked backwards, sputtering nonsense on trying to defend his reasons. Gohan just shook his head and gave a large sigh. Honestly, he felt partially bad that he was going to leave Goku with this man. Who knows what kinda weird habits he would pick up from him? Though he himself turned out okay…at least a lot better than Roshi. "I just DON'T want you to give him ANY of your 'books' or 'magazines' to read at all. Don't traumatize him any further than I did. Any real reading material is good enough for him. Even though he doesn't look it, he's capable of reading at the 9th Grade level, just like any other city boy his age. He is also learning new larger and more complicated words when he can. He isn't a book worm but reading as a past time is something he won't mind doing. But if you have anything to read about martials arts techniques and training exercises then he'll eat those up like you wouldn't believe."
Roshi nodded in understanding. This was actually a very good thing. He stressed how important it was to be at least almost as smart as you are strong, which is how he taught both Gohan and Ox. Reading and doing occasional mental problems and a sort of side-training. A mind is a terrible thing to waste after all. "Right. I see Gohan. And what is the second thing?" Gohan stepped closer to Roshi and dug into his jacket pocket and brought out a slip of paper that was folded. He gave it to Roshi, who opened it up and looked at its contents before giving a light gasp of surprise. "Wait a minute…this is…"
Gohan nodded once. "Yes. That is the list on Goku's "special" training that I made. It's the training regimen that he's done over the last 10 years. The ones with a check next to them are the ones that I haven't been able to help him make any more progress on."
Roshi blinked. "But...all of these are checked."
"Yes," Gohan said, "because I've run out of ideas on what to do. So I just had him repeat anything I could come up with until he mastered the exercises. Now I'm hoping that you'll be able to help him with things I wasn't able too."
"I see." Roshi mumbled as he went over the information again. He remembers getting a letter years ago on Goku's ability to become a giant ape monster, which Gohan had dubbed 'Great Ape'. It seemed pretty far-fetched to believe, even if it was from a letter to an old friend of his, so in his own letter he promptly explained how such a thing just couldn't have been possible. They lived in a very strange world but people didn't transform into gigantic monsters. Then Gohan's next letter came with a photograph of a gigantic ape attached to it along with an arrow pointing to the picture as if to emphasize 'Yes! This is real! Take a good, long look at it!'. So you can imagine Roshi's surprise once that news settled in.
Going over the paper one more time, he pocketed it. "Don't worry about your grandson, Gohan. Once I'm done with him, even that side that he keeps locked away is going to be a true force to be reckoned with. I won't give an inch until he's at his best. It's the least that I can do for the both of you."
Gohan smiled at his master promising to go to great lengths to help Goku. He bowed to him in respect. "Thank you Master Roshi. Now I know the boy is going to be just fine. I guess that I'm going to make my leave now."
"Grandpa!" They two old men turned to see Goku running out to them or at least to Gohan as he jumped to hug him. The two hugged for a while before they separated. "Are you leaving?"
Gohan pat his head. "I am. I'm sure you're going to do fine with Master Roshi. Please make sure that you train as hard as you can and don't forget to keep up your studies as well."
Goku nodded as the two of them shared another hug. "Alright grandpa! The next time you see me I'll be super strong!"
"I bet you will sonny. I can't wait to see your progress when the day comes, "he then adjusted his gaze back to Roshi, "now do you have anything for me to use to head back?"
Roshi chuckled a bit as he walked back to his house. "You're just in luck actually. I've got just the thing that I've just gotten back recently." He headed inside and began to rummage around through his possessions for a minute or two before he came out with a rolled up rug under his arm. He then stuck his cane in the sand before unrolling it on the sand. The rug was blue in color with intricate purple designs and yellow-gold flares on the outside. "I was intending to give this to Goku before but it had to go to the cleaners after I kinda ruined it a little. But now it's back in action."
"What is it?" Goku asked before the rub began to shift and float into the air. Both Gohan and Goku were surprised to see the rug float in place.
"Why, it's my magic carpet or course!" Roshi stated proudly as the two others gave it a look over.
"So you were gonna give this to me?" Goku asked as he ran his hands on the carpet, feeling how soft it was. Though it didn't seem to respond with any sort of vague gesture like his Nimbus did.
"Of course, because unlike the Nimbus, you don't have to be pure of heart to ride it. Anyone can. It's best to go with the safest option usually," Looks to Gohan, "anyway, you can keep this if you want. I know I'm not going to need it."
"Why thank you Master." Gohan said before he walked closer to it. The carpet then extended one of its own flares to Gohan as if slightly resembled a hand. Even Roshi was surprised to see it do something like that while Gohan just smiled and shook it. "Hello. It's a pleasure to meet you as well."
"It…never did that with me…I didn't know it could do that." Roshi mumbled as Gohan hopped right on top of the carpet before the two began to rise high in the air before flying right away. Gohan turned his head to see the island and the two people on it grow smaller and smaller.
"Now…time to pay a quick visit to my good friend, the Ox King."
Once Gohan was completely out of sight Roshi gained a gleam in his glasses as he looked to Goku. Sure, he promised Gohan that he wouldn't expose the boy to the likes of anything vulgar during his time with him but that didn't mean that he couldn't ask Goku for help for his own needs. It would be very easy since Goku should know what to look for now. Besides, he would have to make the best of this while Turtle was on vacation or else he could never get a chance like this ever again. Though before he could do get his thoughts out to the boy Goku addressed that there was someone that was in the water, and it was heading towards them pretty fast. Roshi jerked his head in the direction wondering if it was Turtle but Goku said that it was someone in a boat. As the boat got closer they could see that it was just a small boy, who seemed to have been Goku's age. He was very much so bald with 6 dots on his forehead, wearing a yellow karate style shirt and orange pants.
He stopped rowing towards them to grab a purple sack before he jumped off the boat and began to head towards them through the air, while executing multiple somersaults. Too bad he wasn't able to stick the landing since he found his head deeply lodged in the dirt, so Goku helped him up. He coughed out sand before quickly standing up and patting his head of dust, giving Goku a small thanks. When he noticed Roshi and confirmed that it was him he introduced himself as Krillin. He then gave a cliché backstory of how he had traveled far from his humble village just so he could train with the one and only Master Roshi. Of course, Roshi refused saying that he doesn't train every boy that shows up to his door. But that changed when he noticed the gleam in Krillin's eye which made him return it. Krillin dug into his pouch in the purple sack and handed Roshi a pornographic magazine, asking if this would be more than enough incentive. Roshi wasn't at all going to question how a young boy managed to get such a thing, especially with his face snug right between the pages.
Krillin then turned to Goku. "So who are you anyway? His pupil?"
Goku smiled and nodded. "Yeah! I'm Goku!"
Krillin gave him a look over. "Doesn't seem that you like fighting."
Goku's smile didn't drop in the slightest. "Of course I do. I love fighting so I'm gonna get super strong." At that moment, his tailed wavered which caught Krillin's attention. His eyes widened as he moved around Goku to stare at his backside.
"What the…what's with the fake tail? You were raised around monkey's or something?"
Goku wavered his tail around some more. "Nope. It's real. I was born with it."
Krillin's face was full of skepticism. Such a thing isn't possible at all, at least he was sure that it couldn't be. "No way. How can that thing be real? Humans don't have tails."
"Well I do." Goku said and to emphasize his point, he undid the strap that held his pants up and slightly pulled them down enough to show the top half of his behind and the tail attached to it. Krillin jerked back pretty hard as he saw Goku's tail actually was attached to the tail bone.
"T-that's freaky! That's not normal at all!"
Goku nodded not seeing the issue with not being normal. He thought having it was pretty fun and nothing would stop him from thinking so. He maneuvered his tail through the hole in the back of his pants and pulled them back up before tying his sash together. Krillin could just feel that Goku might be more problems than he was worth if left unchecked. If they were gonna be training together then he'd keep a watchful eye on him. When Roshi was done reading he said that he was going to take in Krillen as his student too but only if he helped Goku find him a girl, which had them both confused. When Goku asked why, Roshi said that he just wanted to have some female company is all. Goku's non-innocent mind couldn't help but take that in a different way so he just decided to drop it there. Roshi asked Krillin what kind he liked and the smaller bald one whispered in his ear what he figured his type was. With the way Roshi whooped, it was the right kind. They were to take Goku's Nimbus and head out. Krillen tried to hop on but he fell on through, which was enough incentive for Roshi to figure out that Krillen was holding out on them. So Krillin grabbed the sack and unfolded it, showing that it was chalk-full of dirty magazines and Roshi had taken to reading them all.
After his perversion was completely satisfied (At least until he got a woman to live with him) he set the two out to go find one, though Krillin had to hold onto Goku so he wouldn't fall through the Nimbus. The two flew around for a while until they found themselves in the desert and a little after that, Goku heard a call for help. He asked Krillen if they should check out who scream but Krillin wanted to avoid it, saying that just mean trouble. Good thing Goku was the curious type and he headed to the distress call anyway. It was a lucky break because they found a girl that was being attacked by two police officers. Goku decided that they were going to help her, with Krillen once again being opposed to it since they haven't been taught anything by Roshi and that the police had guns. Goku just charged right on into the canyon and hopped off the Nimbus with Krillin holding onto Goku for dear-life until he detached himself and ran behind a mountain, spouting about how he wasn't with Goku and he respected the law. One of the officers stated that they weren't going to stop them from catching Launch, which had to have been the girls name. It wasn't even a warm-up for Goku as he dispatched the two officer's, saving Launch as she thanks him. Krillin strolled next to Goku, saying that it wasn't anything difficult.
Goku gave Krillin a look, saying that all he did was hide, which made the bald kid grunt and turn his head. Goku asked him if Roshi would like Launch to come to them. He nodded, meaning that she was the one before they got back on the Nimbus, with Launch sitting behind them. They told her they were taking her to Roshi's island which they could see in the distance. They landed on the island while Goku hopped off and went to the door. He called for Roshi but found that no one was answering again. Krillin figured that he was in the bathroom which Goku nodded and understood the master needed his privacy. So they decided to wait at the door. Launch asked why she was here and Krillin told her that it was because his master needed company since he was lonely, as a woman is what he asked for. She was just glad that she had somewhere to hide from the police. Krillin asked who they really were since they couldn't be real but she confirmed they were. She claimed that she had done terrible things that she wasn't sure which but she did show a large bag of money which she guessed she got from robbing a few banks and maybe even a train. Krillin just shook his head and grinned, saying that she was a girl and only burly men did that. Launch claimed that when she sneezed bad things happened but that flew over both of the boys' heads as they didn't fully understand what that meant.
Roshi then opened the door once he was finished with his business and gave Launch a look over. As the boys asked if he liked her. Once he was done with his analysis, and wiped his nose of dripping mucus, he grinned and exclaimed that he would take them on fully as his students. They both cheered at their success while Krillin decided to let Roshi know that while she was nice and all, she liked to make up bizarre stories about robbing banks, trains, and the like but Roshi paid no mind to it. After that, it was just a bunch of Roshi trying to make himself look good in front of Launch and hyping up his status of being the best martial arts master in the world with Krillin jumping in to help. He then had the idea of having her learn too while discussing on how it can be suitable for the mind and skin which led to him getting her to wear women's exercise-undergarments. To keep up the charade, he and the boys wore it too. Though not everything seemed perfect as a bug flew right under Launch's nose and she abruptly changed. Her hair went from blue to blond as her eyes took on a sharp look. She hated the clothes that she was wearing and pulled a machine gun from her bag before she started to lay into the three males with bullets as they jumped around and screamed in fright at the scary girl and the pain she was inflicting on them.
The wind blew some strands of her hair under her nose before she sneezed again and turned back into the nice version of Launch. She smiled and apologized for how her other side is, and that she didn't like pig-headed boys. Roshi and Krillin were dazed and were suffering some bullet holes in the head while Goku just felt like he got pelted with a multitude of bees, as he rubbed his sore noggin. Roshi just decided that they would skip Launch's 'special training' as they all got dressed in their normal clothes. Though Launch did make a point at how small this island was and the training that he'd have for the boys wouldn't be possible here. So he packed up the house in a capsule before using another one to bring out a speed boat for them to hop in. He drove them all to a far off island that was massive in size and even had an active volcano. So they got settled right next to the ocean where Roshi brought his house back out of its compact form.
He was ready to teach Goku and Krillin their first lesson before dinner but they couldn't find Goku. Launch addressed that he went off to look around the island on the Nimbus Cloud. They didn't have to wait for him too long as he zipped up to them a minute later and said that there were already people on the island. Roshi said that they were natives and wouldn't hinder their training at all. He said he was ready to being their first lesson which had Goku super excited. He jumped off the Nimbus and went to go stand next to Krillen, flailing his arms in eagerness. Krillin just passed him off as a child and couldn't wait to show Goku up while also showing off in front of Roshi. Though when Launch asked if she should join Roshi just said it was up to her as long as her other side wouldn't come out. Launch decided to give it a shot until she took a few deep breaths right after. The males all ran behind a rock far away, not wanting to be near what they thought was coming, however she just gave a big yawn. She decided that since the very thought of fighting made her tired, she would make some dinner which had the males face-plant. Deciding to not take their chances with her anymore Roshi got ready to teach.
Finding out from Krillin that he studied martial arts for 8 years at some temple he's never heard of, he was glad that he could skip the basics of attacking. Though he wanted to see their current ability first before he taught them anything. So he wanted them to run from the rock that they were using to hide behind all the way to a tree 100 meters away. He grabbed his stop-watch from the inside of his shirt while Krillin questioned the test of just...running. Roshi said it was actually an excellent way to test speed and strength...not that expert fighters should be running away or anything. Krillen chuckled as he said he's go first. Roshi called him out on his confidence but Krillin took it in stride, very prideful about his results before they were even given. Roshi figured to let actions do the talking as he walked over to the tree and got his watch ready. Goku sat down and watched as Krillin took a runner's stance. When Roshi gave the signal Krillin rushed from his position and ran his hardest towards Roshi, putting all of his energy for this sprint. When he zoomed past, Roshi clocked him at 10.4 seconds. He commended Krillen on the decent time though Krillin tried to play it off and make it seem like it was an 'off day' and that he could've shaved off 3 milliseconds if he wanted too. Roshi rolled his eyes under his glasses at the boy's attempt to save-face. No matter what time he got it wouldn't have reached Roshi's acceptable standards.
Goku called out that he was ready to go too so Roshi told him to be patient while getting him ready to go. Krillin just smirked thinking Goku wasn't going to do better than he did. Boy, wasn't HE wrong when Goku practically blasted towards them so fast that he blew up wind and a dust trail when he passed. Roshi clocked him at 7 seconds which had Goku grinning and leaving Krillin stunned as his eyes were fully wide. Goku's time played over in his head twice before he fell over from the complete shock of being outdone so easily. And Goku didn't even look slightly winded at all! When he asked who taught him to run like that Goku said no one did and that was a silly question. Roshi wasn't all that surprised at Goku's results since Goku had been teaching him basic Turtle Hermit martial arts since he was growing up. Of course he'd have an already strong body but even then that wasn't good enough, which he told the two. He said that the point of this was to get them on the road to surpassing normal human limits and that they both had to work REALLY hard to get those results. So he decided to demonstrate for them so they can get a better picture on the kind of level their going to learn to reach. He had it so that they would time his own run with Krillin holding the watch. He cracked his neck and back to loosen himself up while throwing his shell into the rock, breaking it, to finish his self-inspection. Giving Krillin the go-ahead the time started…and then finished almost as fast as it began. Goku and Krillin didn't even really see what happened. Only that he was at the tree and he was in a running pose behind them. Krillin times him at 5.6 seconds, which Roshi figured wasn't bad at all.
Goku asked if he could teach them to run that way which had Roshi repeat that he was fully capable, since it was a matter of being many times stronger and faster than the average human. But he was pretty thirsty after the running though. He asked Goku if he could fetch him a broosky from the house. Goku thought on the word as asked if that was a word for 'Beer' that he read about before. When Roshi nodded and gave him confirmation he jogged over to the house and went inside. He walked to the kitchen, said hi to Launch, grabbed a beer for the old man and came back out so he could give it to him. Roshi thanked him before capping the can open and drinking it down. After an hour or so of explaining to the boys of different ways to surpass their bodies limits, Roshi had one more test for the two of them to do. The sun setting and Launch making supper for them all to eat, which they could smell from outside the house. Roshi picked up a stone a wrote the kanji for 'turtle' on it and showed it to the boys. Making sure they had it memorized he chucked the stone into the woods before telling them that they had to find the stone. Krillin was aghast at such a ridiculous task but Goku just smiled at having to do a reply of one of the training regimens Gohan put him through before. The reason Roshi gave was to show that finding one took a focused mind and a calm spirit. This is what was to separate the boys from other fighters. Though the one who finds it can keep it and the one who doesn't won't be allowed to eat supper. If neither could find it in 30 minutes then they both would go without eating for the night which made them both panic, at the thought. Especially Goku who had the metabolism of 50 full-grown burly men. Once Roshi started the time they both rushed to the edge and looked at the deep drop. Krillin panicked at how there wasn't a passage down and wanted to find another way but Goku, being Goku, leaped right over the edge into a free-fall, scaring the hell out of Krillin at his crazy stunt. But since Goku did it all the time back in the mountains he didn't have a problem with it. Even though he kinda crashed on his way down, he only got a bit of a bruise but got his head start on that stone.
Krillin knew right then and there that Goku wasn't human in the slightest since no one could've survived falling. Even from the shorter height Goku fell at when he caught that branch midway. So he rushed off to not get left behind. 15 minutes passed and Goku found the stone with Krillin hearing him and running to his location. He was shocked to see that Goku found it and even more so when Goku claimed the stone had Roshi's scent on it. Not wanting to go without eating at all, Krillen tricked Goku into handing it to him before he ran off with Goku chasing after him and screaming in rage. Passing over a bridge, Krillin cut the ropes when he reached the end which made Goku fall into the river below making the tiny monk think that was the last of it. But a few seconds later Goku was on his tail again and he wasn't letting up, so Krillin claimed that he'd fight Goku for the stone but didn't want him to cry if he got hurt. Goku agreed if he would fight fair. Not liking how headstrong Goku was, Krillin charged at him and began to exchange blows but the difference in skill, speed, and power was obvious. Krillin was on his back in an instant with Goku standing over him. The monkey tailed boy demanded for the stone. Krillin got up and reached into his robe before throwing it to the distance. Goku screamed in shock as he rushed off after it. Krillin just grinned before he pulled out the real stone, applauding himself for the amazing scam before taking it to Roshi.
Night fell with them all in the house, as Goku was standing by and watched the other three eat. The fish stew that Launch made smelled absolutely amazing. Goku licked his lips of drool as his stomach rumbled in protest. Though after a few minutes, he counted himself lucky that he wasn't eating any of it since he was saved from the worst case of food poisoning ever. Launch told them that she cooked with the infamous puffer fish which had Roshi and Krillin drop their chopsticks, made their faces blue and had them fall over. Goku blinked as he looked to the stew and back to the two baldies on the ground. He knew how bad the puffer fish was himself, since he read a book on varying kinds of fish around the world (Mostly for eating purposes) thanks to Gohan.
Seeing this as a perfect opportunity, he walked over to Krillin and looked down to him twitching and groaning in pain. He held his stomach as he dried heaved.
"Hey, Krillin?" Goku asked. It took some effort but he managed to turn his head to face him.
"W-w-what, G-Goku?" He groaned out.
Goku had the most stoic of faces.
"Karma."
Even through the pain, Krillin ground his teeth and practically spat at Goku. "Say what!? Ughhh…that's what you have to s-say!?"
Goku just smiled at him and nodded. "Yup! This situation fits for it, don'cha think?"
Krillin just groaned again as his stomach did backflips.
A few hours passed by which was full of Launch dumping out the stew she made (still crying and apologizing for it), Krillin and Roshi both taking medicine to ease their stomachs, and taking turns going to the bathroom to flush out at least most of the puffer that was in their system. Suffice to say, they'd have an uneasy time sleeping tonight as they both felt a bit lightheaded. Now, at 11:13 PM, the occupants in the house were asleep. Launch in her own room, Krillin in the room he and Goku shared, and Roshi in his own room. Goku made sure to check it all three were sleeping before he headed outside. He stood right in front of the house as he saw the glow from the full moon shine right through the clouds overhead. With a light breeze passing through, the clouds would move out of the way of the glowing orb. This would be the second night that the full moon would be out and tomorrow night will be the final one until it comes back around. He figured that even though he wasn't training with his grandpa, he could probably still do something by himself, even if it doesn't amount to much. But he'd have to get far away enough so he doesn't scare or disturb anyone. The people on the island were spaced out a lot from each other and it was a massive island too. He figured that he'd be fine.
Goku took a deep breath as he got ready to head out. "Alright. Time to go."
He only managed to take a single step before he heard, "And where exactly do you plan to go to, hmm?"
He jumped in surprise and turned around, seeing Roshi at the door. He was dressed in his white t-shirt, blue trousers, and sandals, though he seemed to be leaning on his cane a lot more. He took deep breaths as sweat dropped from his forehead. Obviously he wasn't completely rid of the effects of the puffer fish but that just made Goku wonder why he was even up at this time.
"Gah! Master Roshi! What are you doing up!?"
Roshi walked off the porch and stood in front of Goku. "I can say the same thing to you, young man. You know that a fighter must also get as much rest as he possibly can so he can have full energy for the next day," Goku was going to say something but Roshi spoke first, "yet…this isn't any normal outing, is it?" Goku rubbed the back of his head and looked down, not sure what he was supposed to say. "Don't get your tail in a knot Goku. Gohan had told me everything about your special nights." Goku's head jerked back to Roshi with a bit of a gasp. The old man turned and took a few steps to the direction of the volcano where other mountain ranges stood out.
"H-he did!?"
"Well of course he did. Me and Gohan tell each other practically everything. At least he had the manners to keep in touch with me after all this time and even came here personally, unlike that oaf, Ox King you met," Roshi turned to face him, "and I promised Gohan that I would train you in every way possible, until you were stronger than you've ever been. That also includes this Great Ape form of yours. Follow me and we can get started."
Goku's grin grew large. "Really!?"
Roshi nodded. "Really. There's only three nights of a full moon until we have to wait for the next one. This is going to be the second night, and tomorrow will be the third. Since we're on such limited time with your special training, we'll start as soon as we can and work even harder than you do when the sun is up. You need to show results quickly," he turned to face the volcano and started walking, "now hurry and follow me."
Goku nodded, even though Roshi couldn't see it, and went to follow him to where ever they were headed. It took a while but they were surrounded by a mass of thick jungle and mountain ranges that was very far away enough from any of the island dwellers so that Roshi could train Goku without holding back. Outside of the jungle to the far right was the ocean where Roshi planned to help Goku with his energy mouth blasts. The clouds were beginning to clear up which let moonlight pour down its rays into the deep foliage. Roshi made sure to keep his distance from Goku since he didn't want to get caught up in however the boy did his thing.
"Alright, Goku! Go head! I'll just be right here!"
Goku waved to Roshi. "Okay, Master Roshi! Just stay over there, alright!?"
Turning away from the old man, the boy began to strip down. Roshi rose and eyebrow for a moment but then realized that if Goku's monster ape form did tower over 50 stories or so then he'd rip his clothes right up. Picking them up, Goku made sure to place them somewhere that they wouldn't get torn up or something along those lines once he was too huge to see where he was stomping around. Setting them between some decent sized rocks that he could see, regardless of his size, he went back to the place he was standing at and looked right towards the moon. Roshi could only describe the transformation as surreal on all grounds. The process wasn't slow but it wasn't fast enough that he couldn't see how each second made a certain change to the ever-growing-boy. How his body grew thick brown fur, his muscles bulged and became prominent, his eyes turning a blood red or how he grew a muzzle. Roshi's mouth dropped right open as his head traveled up and up, wondering when the ape would stop growing. Thankfully, he did after another minute or so. Goku was very tempted to let out his signature roar of pure elation but quickly remembered that even though this was a massive island, there were of people living on it. Unlike his house which was in total isolation from anything human, they would hear him and would probably panic. He didn't want another Bulma incident. So he let out a loud gruff and sighed. He cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders arounds, properly adjusting to the change.
"So," he looks down to Roshi with his fanged grin, "what do you think? Pretty amazing, huh?"
"You're, uh…definitely one heck of a sight Goku." Roshi had to fix his glasses to properly fit his face as he inspected every inch of the giant ape. "I have to admit though, hearing about it and seeing it are two completely different things. You might have to do this a few more times before I get used to it."
"There's gonna be a lot of time for that later, definitely. So are you ready to get started with my training master?" With a single nod, Roshi agreed to get the show on the road.
And boy, did they.
Roshi decided that he'd tried to squeeze in at least over an hour of a specific type of training for Goku to do since they needed to also were technically being timed here. He addressed to Goku that since he's pretty much done significant training with Gohan, they'd have to change up his regimen with different and more unorthodox trials. Roshi first had him go to the edge of the island where they faced out to the ocean and the endless starry-night sky. The old master explained that he wished to see how long Goku could hold this supposed energy blast he could project from his mouth that Gohan said he was capable of. When asked by the ape on why this form of training he was pretty decent at his mouth blasts, Roshi explained that while Goku could fire bursts of shots he didn't know his limit for holding a steady beam. It might be a requirement later down the road if he had to put a lot of pressure against something that didn't waver easily, not to mention it would have the same principle of him learning to properly control his power even more. Understanding fully, Goku expelled a massive beam of red-hot energy from his maw as it soared across the ocean like a comet. Large waves were kicked up from the force of the blast as Goku held the beam for a grand total of 10 seconds at full power before it lost force and grew weaker. Pretty soon, Goku stopped to catch his breath while Roshi nodded at seeing the boy's current limit. So he made it a task for Goku to reach a limit of 20 seconds. During the full hour of this training, Goku only managed to increase his time by a single second making the new limit 11. Roshi figured it wouldn't be easy for Goku to add more time to his strongest technique since he was firing at full force. But it was only when you gave it your all that you get the best results, and not just for the specific area of practice.
The next hour, Roshi had Goku in one of the many mountains of the island. Still no people around for many miles, however there WERE a lot of large animals and dinosaur's too boot. Roshi said that dozens of large and terrible beasts lived on this mountain and Goku was tasked with defeating all of them. This was to help Goku learn to fight opponents who were in the range of or roughly so, his height, weight, and strength. One of the biggest advantages to Goku's transformation was the fact that he towered 50 stories over his usual opponents but that advantage is lost to someone or something of the same height. So this will teach him to properly fight as a Great Ape. Goku nodded and wandered deeper into the area where he met his first challenger. A pretty large and fearsome T-Rex who has just a couple inches shorter than he was but it didn't look intimidated at the sight of the giant monkey. It roared in challenge when Goku invaded its territory before charging right at him. Goku braced himself for the assault and raised up his arms to catch and try to hold the dino at bay but he was straining as it pushed him back inch by inch. His muscles bulged against the fur as he got a tighter hold on it before throwing it to the side with a roar of defiance. Even with the rough landing, it wasn't perturbed at all before it got its barring's enough to sweep at Goku's legs with its thick tail as he just charged right in, making the massive ape fall onto the ground. He quickly got up and continued to wrestle and tussle with the beast. But it was all for nothing as Goku wasn't able to compete with its savagery before it tripped him up again and with a powerful tackle, sent him tumbling down the mountain. Roshi, who was waiting at a spot near the bottom but had a good view of the battle, went down to see Goku breathing hard and blinking the dizziness out of his eyes as he laid on his back. He called for their next lesson.
This time, Roshi in his infinite wisdom, believed that Goku's speed was vastly reduced because of his size. Same with his agility and flexibility. So to remedy this issue, Roshi had told Goku that for the next hour he was to dodge projectiles that the master would launch to him. When Goku asked him what the projectiles would be, Roshi chuckled and just held up his hand to Goku, extending his index and middle fingers. Goku blinked in confusion before a yellow ball of light blinked in and out of existence on the master's fingers before fully forming into a small yellow ball. Then without warning, a fist-sized blast of Ki shot from them like a laser and struck Goku in the knee. The giant ape yelped out-loud as his hands flew to his wounded knee while he hopped around on his other leg. The ground shook and jumped from the Great Ape jumping around before he slipped and fell to his back. Roshi didn't even bat an eye at the amusing spectacle before Goku sat up an asked what exactly Roshi just did. He explained that it was a more controlled version of an energy attack than compared to the 'Kamehameha Wave' or Goku's signature 'Mouth Blast'. He also explained that if Goku trained to focus his energy more precisely than he would also be capable of doing the same, but at his current level he wasn't ready for such a thing yet. Being small, fast, and strong, these Ki blasts were the perfect tool for this training regimen.
It would've been nice to say that Goku steadily got better at dodging the yellow laser beams but that wasn't the case in the slightest. He just fumbled around like a goofball trying desperately (and failing) to not get hit by beams. If those bullets that were shot at him by Pilaf, Mai, and Shu similar to bee stings, then these attacks had to have been the equivalent of getting struck with a baseball going 70 mph. Suffice to say, that doesn't tickle. Especially when you trip over falling flat on your face and your evil master decided that it would be fun to zap your furry rear-end. Which has got to be the 20th time he's decided to shoot Goku there. If Roshi wasn't still suffering from puffer fish poison, he'd have doubled over in laughter when Goku screamed, not roared, screamed in pain, held his fuzzy cheeks and cried, "YOU KEEP SHOOTING ME IN THE BUTT! WHY!? WHY DO YOU KEEP SHOOTING ME IN THE BUTT!?"
Sometime through the night, a drowsy Krillin felt himself burning up as he laid under the blankest in his and Goku's shared room. He groaned as he held his stomach which gurgled in protest and tightened into a knot, making him curl into a ball from the pain of Launch's dinner turned murder-weapon. The tightened knot then turned loose and seemed to travel downwards as he immediately shot up from his bed and ran towards the bathroom making sure to lock it while he relived himself of dinner. Goku's words come back to haunt him on how it was his own fault that he was in this position, and as much as he didn't want to own up to it, he knew Goku was right. If only he didn't trick Goku the way, he did then Goku would be in his place to suffer this agony. Krillen came out of the bathroom after he was sure that his stomach had nothing left to give before heading towards the kitchen. He checked the clock absentmindedly, seeing that the sun would be up in a couple more hours. He still felt dizzy and hot so he grabbed himself a glass from the cabinet and opened the fridge to get himself an ice-cold pitcher of water with a small mix of lemon juice. He poured himself a glass before putting the pitcher back in the fridge and heading back up to bed. He took a sip before sighing at the cold liquid traveling down his throat. He was feeling a bit better already! Still tired and stomach was still gurgling but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as it was before.
That is until he walked by the window in the living room and looked out into the dark distance. He saw something…large moving about but couldn't fully see what it was. He leaned in closer as if it was going to help him with his vision before his eyes began to take in the details of the large creature. A long monkey-like tail, large arms that thrashed around…and it seemed to jump and tumble over itself while giving distinct roars and groans.
"What the…" Krillin was hit with another wave of nausea as he just stared for a bit long, took another sip of water and headed upstairs. "Jeez. Puffer fish will make you see some crazy things. There's no such thing as a giant monkey monster."
Earlier that same day, Gohan was cruising through the air on his new and incredible magic carpet. An amazing thing it was too as it was chalk full of personality. An example would be earlier that day, it demonstrated to Gohan that it was capable of writing by using one of its flares to make a 'finger' and writing 'Carpet' in the soil. So that is what Gohan figured that is what its name was, unsurprisingly. While Carpet wasn't as fast as Nimbus, it was most definitely faster than a plane or any motor vehicle. Not so much jet vehicles though but Gohan had no need for speed like that. Plus, Carpet could fit a few extra people on it too so that was a plus in his book if he wanted to cruise around in the air with a companion. While he was having fun in this new manner of travel, his smile slowly turned into a small frown at the thought of seeing Ox King once again after all this time. He even had his arms crossed in an unamused fashion as if to practice his look of displeasure before even seeing the giant.
The air began to feel warmer as he neared Fire Mountain, or at least where Fire Mountain used to be. Even without the massive mountain of flames that raged on eternally, this particular area was still pretty humid and it might be that way for some time. "Well what do you know? Goku wasn't kidding when he said Master Roshi destroyed it." He mused to himself but Carpet's front curled upwards a bit to him while one of his front flare scratched at the folded up part. Ah, Carpet was confused at Gohan's statement. Gohan gave a small chuckle. "Trust me, it's quite the tale Goku told me. I'll tell you later on." A clump of fur on the tail made a 'thumbs up' gesture before he folded back out and continued flying.
Gohan told Carpet to descend a bit more so he could get a clearer look at the area, since there was nothing around the used-to-be mountain. "Now…where could there be a house large enough to fit an oaf of that size?" Difficult question since the whole village was destroyed and everything looked barely hospitable. Carpet flew around a bit more until Gohan spotted something large and white in the distance. Not a castle or mansion but an impressively large capsule house with a bit of an over-exaggerated door of 9 ft. and was 2 stories high. He pointed down to it and said, "Down there, Carpet." Carpet zipped down to the large front door and stopped in place. Gohan hopped off while Carpet floated behind him. He rang the doorbell and waited for a little until he heard giant clunking footsteps. A hand gripped the knob of the door before it was pulled open to show the Ox King in casual clothing. A white button up shirt, green shorts and glasses. His helmet was still on though.
He glanced down to Gohan who gave a small wave to him. "Hey there, Ox. It's been a while, hasn't it?"
Ox gasped in surprise before he grinned, leaning down a bit to get a closer look to the shorter man. "Do my eyes deceive me!? Gohan!? Well what a small world! I can't believe that it's really you!"
Gohan nodded in agreement. "Same to you, old friend. I see that…things haven't been going so well lately."
Ox laughed nervously. "Well…a lot of things have been happening lately," he stepped aside. "Please, come on in. We have a lot to catch up on."
Gohan gave his thanks and strolled in with Carpet floating behind him, which had Ox glance at the amazing fabric in surprise. "Amazing carpet you have there, Gohan."
"Thank you," he said before sitting in a chair, "Master Roshi gave it to me. Its name is Carpet." Carpet held out a flare as a make-shift hand and extended it to Ox who chuckled and took it in his giant hand, shaking it.
"Nice to meet you, Carpet. I'm the Ox King." Carpet then flew over to a chair next to Gohan before settling in it upright. The action made the two of them chuckle before Chi-Chi came down the stairs in a white shirt, blue short-shorts and pink slippers.
"Daddy? What's going on?"
Ox smiled to her and gestured to Gohan. "Chi-Chi, right on time! I'd like to introduce you to my old training companion and Goku's grandfather, Gohan! And next to him is his magic carpet, um…Carpet."
She gasped in surprise before going to him with a big smile. "Really!? It's great to meet you sir!"
Gohan gave her a light smile and nodded. "You as well, young lady." He had to admit, she was pretty cute for her age. He couldn't believe that this was his old friends daughter and wondered what kind of knock-out woman Ox had gotten to bring her into the world. At least Ox didn't want to have his grandson marry a girl very unnerving to look at. Still, he didn't like the whole arranged marriage thing at all. Ox took a seat while Chi-Chi was gazing at Carpet and having a bit of fun feeling over its fabric.
"So what brings you all the way over here? You should know that I met your grandson, Goku, not too long ago."
Gohan crosses his arms over his chest and gave him a very unsettling stare, which had Ox uncomfortable. Time to get to the point.
"I know. He told me himself. And I'm here to wonder just what the world is going on through that meat-head-brain of yours to decide who my grandson is going to marry Ox! Have you lost all of your sense!?"
Chi-Chi stared at Gohan in surprise at her father's arrangement for her and Goku's marriage while Ox was sweating a little bit from Gohan. This is one man who you really didn't want to get upset because his words hit hard and his blows always hit harder if it ever came to that.
Suffice to say, it was a VERY long and interesting conversation.
Good god, how long has it been since I've updated? I'm so sorry. I can't even fully blame college on this. I'll take half of the blame for just me being lazy. If I keep this shit up, then I'll be dead before even ONE of these damn stories is completed! And I can't have that happen. I need to get back to my 1 to 2 updates a month. Not vanishing for, what…3 months without updating? Well I DID update 'The Second Chosen' and I'm putting effort into THAT story at least. Seriously, please go read that and at least try and see if you'll develop any interest in it.
Oh, and I'm also working on more collab stories too. Such as this Futurecard Buddyfight story that I'm working with Krika1119 on, called 'Awakened Lord'. If you hold any love for that card game/anime, then go read that on his profile and give some feedback please. It's mainly OC centric but the main characters are still very relevant with some changes different from the anime that we feel would've made it even better. Oh, and it's also rated 'M' so expect some obvious mature things. Anyway, next chapter we'll just jump right into the tournament! With a few extras of course.
Again sorry…and don't forget to rest in every possible piece your body can get chopped in!
