71. Incredulity

Chapter 71- Incredulity

After Arthur's declaration, Merlin just stood in shock, staring at his king. His thoughts were filled with disbelief.

"Does Arthur really think that it was all for the destiny, all for the return of magic?"

Then, he thought about everything he said to Arthur and realized that he never once mentioned their friendship as being his most important motivation. Now he had to wonder if he really is the idiot that Arthur always claimed he was, because that should have been the first thing he mentioned.

"Arthur should know better though."

At that thought, Merlin lost control of his feelings.
