I don't own NCIS
Gibbs couldn't handle what was happening he should be stronger then this he knew, but he didn't know who the man was. He didn't know how the puzzle pieces fit and his son was once again angry with him. He liked an ordered world and there was nothing ordered here.
He had sat up a computer program to try and find out who the mystery man was. How it all fit. How he had escaped. He needed, answers and he needed sleep and he wouldn't get one without the other.
Tim had been ignoring his father for a few days. He didn't know what to say to the man as he sat at dinner with Tony one night he just sighed.
"Hey you okay?" Tony asked.
"No." Tim shook his head. "I'm worried about my dad. I mean I'm angry with him but that doesn't stop the worry you know.
"Oh yeah I know that feeling. Hey at least you know where your dad is in the world no clue if my dad is even alive."
"Ah yes I guess there is that silver lining." Tim tried to crack a smile.
"Yep." Tony nodded. "I understand you're worried I am too. Gibbs is obsessed over his computer program. Kate hasn't been herself since she didn't stab the captor and I'm just here worrying about all three of you.
"Why are you worried about me?"
"Seriously? Well lets see I love you and you're not talking to your father which I know is killing you and you're worried which worries me."
"I'm sorry." Tm whispered standing up and kissing his cheek. "Thank you for worrying about me but I'm okay."
Tony just gave him a look as his phone rang. "Hello, on it boss."
"Sorry we have a case. You are welcome to stay here of course."
"No I think I'll head back home long day tomorrow. They exchanged kisses and both walked out the door going in opposite directions.
A pop up club, strange evidence the team was racing to figure out who there killer was and how all the pieces fit in the puzzle of this death.
Gibbs was of course on edge, the whole team was on edge. Gibbs was talking to Abby about the evidence when the topic of fetishes came up. Gibbs tried not to cringe at what Abby was saying.
"Hey I know a guy who does pull ups before every date." She pointed out.
"Does Tony know that you know that." Gibbs teased.
"Does Tony know that you know." Abby chuckled.
She wasn't actually sure that story was true but it did sound like something Tony would do. As Abby and Gibbs were poking fun at Tony, Tony and Kate were upstairs in the bull pen.
"Tony are you a GS 9 or a gs 11" Kate looked up curious about the answer.
"I can't tell you " Tony said looking up from his own work
"Why" she scrunched up her nose in confusion
"That's personal and confidential than you'll know how much I make" Tony pointed out only slightly messing with Kate
"Excuse me you give me every single detail about your dates you leave out nothing " Kate protested as Tony smirked.
"That's bragging money is personal." Tony pointed out well thinking and also not true." His game was working though Kate was defiantly off the scent of him and Tim.
Later as the case ramped up Gibbs may have went a little crazy turning the car around fast in the middle of the road. Tony grabbed on for dear life as he grabbed his phone and typed in message to Tim
Tony: I think your dad is trying to kill us. He is driving like a manic I think he may have finally broke.
Tim: What do you want me to do about it
Tony: nothing really but I though you'd want to know.
Tim: Okay thanks for the heads up I guess.
"Tony who are you texting." Kate asked.
"No one" he lied
"Right." She rolled her eyes. "Tell your girlfriend I said hi."
"For the last time I don't have a girlfriend."
"Sure you don't." Kate shook her head.
"What ever Kate." Tony shoved his phone into his pocket
The case was over, the killer caught the motive seen and Kate and Tony left leaving Gibbs alone to his thoughts and staring at the screen. "I will catch you." He mumbled.
Tony made his way to Tim's apartment and let himself in. "Hey I wasn't expecting to see you." Tim looked up from his type writer where he'd been writing more of his book
"Yeah, I just needed to be near you hope that's okay."
"Always." Tim stood up. "So I see you're still alive guess my dad didn't kill you.
"Well it was a close one." Tony smirked.
"How about we order some food and watch a movie.
"Sounds good to me." Tim said. As the two men ordered food and settled in for a slow night of Chinese and a movie.
A/N thanks for everyone who reviewed. Sorry for the shorter chapter. I struggled with what I'd do with that episode.
