It felt like they'd been running for hours...

Like their hearts were beating so fast they were about to get out of their chests...

And no word of comfort would make them go slower.

It doesn't matter how many times they tried to convince themselves they are ready to do this.

Because: No.

They weren't ready.

They might never be.

But, to be honest, does it even matter?

Who cares if they aren't ready?

That doesn't change what has to be done.

They are walking down a path that has been avoided for centuries.

But now...There's nowhere else to go.

"So...What's the plan?"-The warrior of the Winter asked with hesitation

Chris has been seriously trying to not say out loud the question that has been in his head ever since they had started making their way to The Black Sun's chamber. Because he feels like it's not his place to say or do anything due to...Everything.

"I...Don't really know, I just thought of breaking in and kick everyone's butt."-Gingka started to reflect on his friend's question.-"And probably leaving after causing an explosion."-

"I like that plan."-Kyoya smirked.

"I beg to differ."-Yuki shook his head, at the same time the glow in his head flickered, so he decided to focus on keeping it going as he talked.-"We need a real plan, because we are too far in and taking chances isn't a choice anymore. So...Mr. Dynamis, please tell me you have a plan."-

"Well, I guess it's a good thing that's I've been analyzing this scenario for what feels like practically my whole life."-Dynamis interrupted knowing he was the only one with anything remotely resembling an answer right now.-"Gingka, Chris, and Kyoya, everything it's up to you. I know we need the warrior of the Summer in order to complete the barrier but there's really no other way around it, let's just hope three out of four is more than enough..."-

"What? But there's like six more of us."-Madoka objected with a bit of concerned, sure, she didn't knew everything that was going on here but she was hoping Dynamis was overlooking the obvious solution.-"Can't we make up for the missing warrior? Sure, I wasn't trained properly like you were but...I'm willing to give up my powers if it means helping you, guys."-

"I'm sorry, Madoka"-The guy with lilac hair shook his head with a sigh. It's true that despite knowing that it was impossible, he really wished for that to be a plausible alternative.-"But preventing the awakening of the child of Nemesis is their destiny. Our destiny as warriors of the solar system is to protect them while they do it...There's nothing else we can do."-

"I see...Well, that sucks."-The young brunette felt bad and nervous but decided to humor it.

"Right?"-Yuki decided to laugh a bit quietly to his sister's statement.-"It appears that Murphy's Law fell down on us hard...Look, Madoka, I know you didn't decided any of this and that is not fair for you to get involved all of the sudden so...Maybe it will be best if you-"-

"If you are about to suggest that I shouldn't be anywhere near the fight just because I'm the newbie, then tough luck, little bro."-The younger twin held her hand a few centimeters away from her brother's face.-"You guys need all the help you can get, so I'm not running away now."-

"...I see."-The warrior of Mercury decided to sigh.-"Thanks, sis."-

"Well, it's kind of comforting knowing that now there will be six of us kicking ass while you guys do your thing."-King smiled, you could tell how nervous he looked and how good he was at hiding it.-"I...Guys...Look, I know that since we don't have the last warrior...This is gonna be harder than what it's supposed to and...Well, we might not come back...You know this, right?"-

"Of course we do, you idiot."-Kyoya growled with annoyance.-"Thanks for the reminder."-

"Look! I'm just saying!"-The warrior of Mars responded with a bit of a defensive tone.-"If there's something...That we want the others to hear...This might be the moment to say it."-

"I...No, King."-Gingka tried shook his head forcibly and did his best to smile.-"That won't be necessary because we are going to The Black Sun, kick their butts and save the world. It will be okay if we give everything we got...I know that it will be enough."-

"Okay, dude, I know what you mean. But the thing is-"-

"The thing is that if we keep thinking that we are going to die, it will happen."-Aguma interrupted his friend.-"I don't want to hear another word of it being a possibility. We need to focus in what we came to do."-

"H-he's right!"-Gingka forcibly smiled as he tried to keep his usual cheery tone of voice.-"We are going in there, save the world! And then...W-we can do anything we want to celebrate."-

"Like what?"-Madoka smirked, it was very forced but she also tried to sound positive.-"Copying the Avenger's dinning scene?"-

"Ooh, that sounds great!"-The warrior of the Autumn grinned.-"But instead of Shawarma, can we go for burgers?"-

"Yeah! I can already picture it! Eating burgers will be the end to our origin story as superheroes."-The young brunette giggled.

"The end?"-The guy with golden brown eyes ached asked in disbelief.-"What's this? The Power Rangers movie? Naw! I say it's going to be the beginning!"-

"Huh, you are right."-She nodded and then started to think.-"But what shall be our dynamic? I'm thinking we might be like a Teen Titans kind of team."-

"That sounds good."-Gingka also nodded with a smile.-"But, I was thinking that maybe we should be try to be like the Fantastic Four."-

"What?"-Madoka laughed once again.-"You got to be kidding me! Look at Dynamis! He's literally like Raven! And please, don't tell me you haven't noticed that you are basically Starfire without super strength!"-

"Oh my gosh! You are right!"-Gingka gasped.-"And all this time I thought of myself as Captain Mar-vell!"-

"Seriously?"-The girl with blue eyes ached an eyebrow.-"What's next? Did you thought Yuki resembled Spiderman?"-She asked with sarcasm.

"What? Look, he might be Peter Parker down to almost every detail but I'm not blind."-Gingka laughed.-"His powers literally scream Blue Lantern."-

"Right?!"-Madoka laughed.-"Although, I thought the about it, and he's also kinda like a Wiccan type."-

"True, but since you are his twin, that would make you Speed."-He smiled.

"And what's wrong with-"

"Oh for the love of-Can you not?!"-Yuki interrupted them. Honestly, although he should have seen it coming, he wasn't in the mood for superhero references.-"Can we go back to our plans of eating after this madness is over? I'll take that before another superhero discussion, please."

"I don't want to talk about food right now, four eyes."-Kyoya growled softly.-"I'm starving."-

"Me too."-Tithi decided to finally talk, for he has been quiet while squeezing Dynamis' hand during their way to Nemesis' chamber.-"I want burgers like Gingky said."-

"I wouldn't mind buying some burgers after this."-King smiled.

"Buying?"-Madoka asked in disbelief.-"Not a chance, if I don't break any of my bones, I will make all the burgers we can eat."-

"Oh gosh, don't toy with my feelings. It's been so long since I ate your food."-Yuki giggled softly as he sighed at the thought of eating his sister's food.

"If we can get out of this without getting grounded, I will cook as many burgers as possible."-Madoka smiled.

"Oh man...What are we going to tell grandpa?"-Yuki ran a hand through his hair after realizing the obvious problem he has been avoiding for months.

"Well, we either tell him the truth or...Say something like 'Remember what happened in The Avengers? Well, that's basically what we went through.' And elaborate a lie that includes an alien invasion afterwards."-She suggested with just a bit of sarcasm.

"...Honestly I think the second choice might not be such a bad idea."-The warrior of Mercury smiled.

"You guys are such idiots, how about instead of lying, you just don't say anything?"-Kyoya smirked.-"Works every time."-

"You clearly haven't dealt with our grandfather."-Madoka and Yuki sighed at the same time.

"Well, at least I know I won't have to worry about making an excuse for anyone."-The warrior of Mars bragged, although the implications were kind of sad.

"Well, since my dad it's involved, then I don't have to worry about making up an excuse either, Chris?"-

The blonde boy looked up in almost an instant shock, he honestly tried hard to stay out of as many conversations with them as possible in fear of pushing his luck with his new 'friends' already.

"I-I...Uh, n-no."-Chris literally babbled as he tried to sound relaxed.-"I don't really have the need for making excuses since-Wait...Uh...Guys..."-

The legendary warrior of the Winter stopped walking and looked directly to the giant door at the end of the hallway.

"We are here."-

Those three words froze the whole atmosphere around them almost instantly.

None of them moved for what felt like an eternity.

Well.

None of them aside from Gingka.

Who walked slowly and touched the giant door in front of him.

His hand barely got to brush the marks on it before lighting up, and creating a new entrance instead of finding out if it was even open.

The group of young warriors didn't even flinched at the massive explosion before them.

Although on the inside, they felt just like a bunch baby deers would feel at the sight of headlights.

He couldn't believe it had started.

The very moment that had to be put in wait for centuries was already here.

And he was the one who finally made it a reality.

This could only be better if the guests of honor finally showed up.

"Nemesis! Let us prove we are worthy of you!"-A man in a black robe spoke as he stood in the middle of the room.

He raised his hands on opposite sides of his body as the many people around him kept chanting.

"Accept our souls as an offering of your return!"-

It appeared that he meant it literally, as the glow around every single individual standing around the altar became brighter with every word he said.

When the glow became too much for the mortal eyes to bear, the light suddenly started floating, leaving nothing but a tunic behind and making its way to the golden coffin resting in the middle of the altar.

"Let our essence give you a mere fragment of power! Let us give everything to your child!"-You could tell how joyous he was by the sound of his voice.

"And at last, let your child be the portal that will bring you back to the realm of the living! Let the child give birth to a new future that's made on you very image, oh powerful-"-

-BAM!-

"We are taking over from here!"-Gingka screamed before the dust of the explosion he caused even faded.-"Everybody, hit the deck!"-

As if it was a battle cry, the warrior's scream brought forward a bunch of kids that prepared to attack with the confidence of experienced soldiers who jumped into the battlefield.

"The sarcophagus!"-Dynamis pointed at the altar.-"Nemesis' child has to be in there!"-

"Wait! These people are starting to disappear!"-King yelled before striking one of the 'bodies' with his sword and only taking out a piece of clothing.

"We are too late! They are harvesting their energy and giving it to Nemesis!"-Dynamis screamed.

"Not if we have something to say about it!"-Aguma extended an arm forward.-"Gingka! Kyoya! Chris! Form a circle around the coffin! Yuki! Put a force field around them!"-He commanded.

The comrades of the warrior of Saturn complied to his orders with quick "On it!" and "You got it!"

"Well! Well! Well!"-The man in black walked forward as he laughed.-"Look who finally decided to grace us with their presenc-AUGH!"-

Before he even got a chance to finish his sarcastic greet for the warriors, he got pushed away by a current of wind, courtesy of Kyoya.

"Not the time for monologues, you bitch!"-The warrior of the Spring grinned as he threw that man, whoever he was, across the room.-"We are busy here!"-

The three warriors of the four seasons made it to the altar in a matter of seconds because they ran so fast as if their lives depended on it.

And that's because they do.

"We are here, Yuki make the force field now!"-Gingka ordered to his friend and received a quick nod.

The boy with glasses closed his eyes and prepared for what had to be the biggest and strongest force field he would have to make in his life.

But it was okay.

Because this is almost over.

As soon as they are done, they can go on their merry way and live the insanity of what their normal lives would become.

And facing it together as a team.

"Quick!"-Chris decided to shout.-"They told me Rago would wake up as soon as he received the ultimate collection of power!"-

"Well, here goes nothing!"-Yuki placed his hands on the floor after kneeling so abruptly, it's like his legs stopped working all of the sudden.

The blue glow on his hands reappeared once again but this time it traveled all the way across the room in what felt like the pulse of a beating heart. Quickly forming a hard dome around the three legendary warriors of the four seasons.

It appeared to be strong enough, since the glowing purple cloud wasn't able to get in no matter how hard it tried.

"It's working!"-Dynamis actually smiled.-"The souls can't get in!"-

"Nice job there, little bro!"-Madoka patted him in the back before going back to her attacking position, the pink electricity ran through her veins as if it was part of her.

"I can't believe how well this is going!"-King ran a hand through his hair without putting down his sword, he couldn't help but to giggle a little.

"We are going to win!"-Tithi yelled with cheer as his hands also lighted up.

"Not just yet!"-The guy with lilac hair reminded everybody to not celebrate yet.-"Remember they have to seal Nemesis away!"-

"Do you think they can do it with the missing warrior?"-Madoka looked over her shoulder and faced Dynamis.-"What if it's not enough power?"-

"It will have to be!"-The warrior of Jupiter argued.-"Now everyone stand in position!"-

"Dynamis is right!"-Aguma nodded and activated his purple aura.-"We need to keep guard before anything take us by surprise!"-

Suddenly a laugh filled the room.

A wicked laugh.

"Well!"-The man in black got back on his feet and decided to look up.-"How's this for a surprise!"-

He took off his top hat.

He was just an ordinary middle aged man, he had gray hair, a blond strike on top of his forehead, and wore a pair of broken glasses.

Dynamis didn't get it.

Sure, he looked a bit familiar, but...

Why is this some kind of big reveal?

Well, maybe the state of shock of a particular pair of twins should have give him a clue.

"W-wha-"-The young brunette couldn't even bring herself to articulate a single word.

She wanted to scream out of horror.

She wanted to shout out of anger.

But...Her voice suddenly felt too heavy on her throat.

As for Yuki...

He looked so frightened by this man, it's like he was looking at a ghost.

"F-f...F-father?"-

"WHAT?!"-

Well, maybe he was.

"Y-your father?!"-The warrior of Mars looked between that man and his two friends.-"But I thought you said he died!"-

"Oh, how exaggerated can some people be!"-He sighed, but then went back to his twisted smile with a gasp of joy.-"Ah! The man of the hour is here!"-

"What?"-Dynamis asked but he was interrupted by a sudden explosion that made itself present in the span of seconds.

Nobody could tell what deserved the most attention.

The dead man that left Madoka and Yuki looking like a pair of defenseless children.

The red glowing dragon that emerged from the sudden explosion.

Or the fact that the sudden shock and horror forced the legendary warrior of Mercury to dissolve his own force field.
