A/N :

Wolfrunner99-2 : Why squish it when you can freeze it? ;D

Cat Girl 1995 : *lol* Bunny would have to find out first, and I doubt Jack will tell him.

KatHarkness-Katara : I don't think he dislikes spiders because people died from spider bites, but simply because they're creepy. I imagine Bunny got used to those, otherwise Australia would be a completely wrong location for his Warren. XD

Alliprince : Glad you enjoyed it!

SpottedOwl88 : Holy crap, waking up with a spider in your face must be horrible! *shudders* When I was still living at my parents' place I once woke up in the middle of the night because I felt that something was wrong, switched on the lights and there was this big black spider on the wall only a few inches away from me. I jumped out of my bed and screamed and ran to the living room where my Dad was fortunately still awake and told him to kill it. He thought I was crazy. Since I have my own appartment I had to learn to kill them myself because there's no one else there to do it for me. Fortunately they rarely come inside ( living on 2nd floor ).

Xion5 : Doom on all spiders! Mwuahahahaha!

Natalie : Yikes, spiders seem to have a thing for creeping up on people while they're asleep. I thought about your questions and am working on a new chapter. It doesn't involve a boattrip, but will still be about Jack's fear of water.

Doublesims : Mostly Sophie but Jack doesn't like them either. Though he's not as scared of them as someone with real Arachnophobia.

TheTalkingLollipop : All in one day? OMG, you must really like it then. *is flattered* :D

Andipandi5 : Probably Sophie had forced him to drink invisible tea for hours already. Haha, yeah, that's indeed very serious business!

North casually walked past Jack's door when he heard the teen talking to someone. There was another person in his room? The winter spirit rarely let others in his own four walls since he cherished his privacy very much. Curiously the Russian Santa leaned closer so his ear was pressed against the white wood.

"You're so sweet, my dear, but I'm not sure if I can handle that much sweetness. And you, oh, you're just the way I want it and have always been there when I needed you most. This is a really tough decision, I'd like to take you all but you know there can be only one in the end..."

The Guardian of Wonder's jaw dropped a little. What the heck was going on in there? A part of him thought it might be better to just slowly retreat and forget he ever witnessed it but the other one seriously needed to know what this was about. With a careful gesture he quietly opened the door, peeked his head inside and stared with wide eyes at the scene in front of him.

*earlier that day*

"Hey Jamie!" Jack greeted his first believer as he jumped through the child's window and landed gracefully on the colourful carpet in the middle of his room.

The young Bennett was sitting on his bed and reading a book about mythical creatures. A second glance wasn't necessary to notice that he was in a slightly foul mood.

"Hi, Jack." he responded with a weak smile.

"What's wrong? We wanted to watch that new movie you got, right? So stop moping and let's go downstairs, hope you have popcorn around!" the frost teen grinned and playfully swirled his staff around before resting it on his shoulder.

This however only seemed to increase the boy's discomfort. He had been swooning about that movie for weeks and made plans to watch it together with Jack as soon as it was released on DVD, which happened to be today.

"Well, I'd like to do that but...I'm sorry, we can't do that tonight." he mumbled dejectedly.

The Guardian of Fun shot him a questioning look and stared at the alarm clock on his nightstand. It was evening already but still before his bedtime. So that couldn't have been the reason.

"Didn't you get the movie yet?"

"I did, but...ugh, Mom is occupying the living room. She's obsessed with that new show, it's so dumb but she refuses to miss it and when it's over then it's too late for us to watch our movie because I have to go to bed because of school and-"

"Woa, woa, calm down, kiddo! No big deal, we'll just watch it another time, alright?" Jack tried to reassure his young friend and joined his side on the bed.

"But I wanted to watch it tonight, looked forward to it all week. And now it's ruined because of that stupid show." the boy grumbled, laid his book aside and crossed his arms in a stubborn manner.

Even the playful nudge from the white-haired immortal couldn't lift his mood. Why did they only have one television in the whole house? And why did his mother have to watch this crap today of all days? It was so unfair.

"And what if we join her and watch TV together? Maybe that show isn't as bad as you think." Jack suggested, desperately hoping he could cheer him up.

And yet, the only reaction he got was a very startled glare through wide open brown eyes.

"No way! You have no idea how retarded it is, I stayed with her for a few minutes and then left because it is, well, totally retarded! I rather stay here and read something before watching another minute of it."

The more he emphasized how stupid that show was the more it fueled Jack's curiosity. If it was really an abomination of the TV-industry then he had to see it.

"Sooo, I assume you wouldn't come with me if I decided to go downstairs?" he asked rhetorically.

Once again he was met with a look of sheer horror.

"No way! And why do you want to see that, I swear you'll regret it!" Jamie protested.

But his best friend merely shrugged his lean shoulders and slided down from the bed.

"I wanna know what triggered so much despite. Don't blame me, you made me curious!" the young guardian winked and headed towards the door.

"Oj, okay, but I warned you. Keep that in mind." the brunette boy sighed as he opened his book again and continued to read while Jack left the room.

The winter spirit was climbing down the stairs when he already heard Mrs. Bennett talking to the TV.

"Noooo, don't choose her, she's a bitch, Melanie is much nicer, take her instead!"

When he arrived behind the couch he stood still and cerulean eyes stared inquisitively at the television screen where a cheesily grinning guy in a suit was handing out roses to a dozen of overdressed women.

"What the hell is that..." Jack said out loud but of course Jamie's mother couldn't hear him.

Every time the guy gave a rose to one of the females, who were clearly wearing too much makeup, they smiled from one ear to the other, though it seemed terribly fake, and kissed his cheek before walking back to the group of desperate wanna-be-housewives and holding their rose like a trophy. It seemed like a bad parody of a dating show but the longer Jack stayed to watch it the more convinced he became that this wasn't a parody, this was serious business...more or less. And he had to admit it was entertaining in a very disturbing sort of way. His imagination ran wild until a sudden idea struck him.

North hadn't been sure about what exactly he had expected, but this definitely was quite a sight. Jack was holding a rose made of ice in his hands and talking to...a bunch of snacks. A piece of cake, a muffin, a slice of pizza, a hamburger, cookies, a sandwich and several other kinds of food lying on plates which were draped on his bed, nightstand and a chair. The cookies and the pizza had a rose next to them already but the rest was still waiting for the teen's decision. It was such a grotesque sight. Suddenly the old guardian wasn't able to suppress a snort any longer and alarmed blue eyes darted in his direction.

"Uhm, uh, I can explain this...I...uhhhh..." the frost teen stuttered, his pale cheeks blushing in a faint shade of purple.

"Nevermind, Jack, I didn't see anything." North winked and closed the door behind him snickering in pure amusement.

After the old guardian had left the winter spirit glanced back at the amounts of food next to him and cleared his throat. The characteristic half-crooked smile reappeared on his face.

"Well, where were we?"

A/N : My friend and me were joking about the fandom shipping Jack with kinda every male and female CGI-character from the last years and then it somehow lead to the mental image of bachelor Jack Frost handing out ice roses. XD

Jack x Food forever! *lol*
