A/N :

DayLightDove : Thanks a lot! And yeah, seems many of us are annoyed about the Elsa- / Frozen-hype. Some days ago I found an online article from an US news website saying the police was looking for Queen Elsa because she's responsible for the snow-chaos in the country. It was meant as joke but still, WTF! Seriously stop it.

Shinku : Haha, yeah, Frozen-haters unite! :D I've always been a huge Disney-fan but when I watched Frozen I sat there without any emotion or feeling of sympathy because everything was just too...I dunno, it didn't feel sincere, just a bunch of songs, jokes and visually pleasing scenes smashed together to make people buy princess merchandise. The movie was so full of plotholes it's horrible...and yet it became the most successful animated movie ever. Excuse me while I weep for a moment.

I'm not sure if I'll continue this yet, we'll see. ;)

GhostSeeker626 : Yay, we should really start a club! I really hate how the world worships Elsa and sees her as great heroine and role-model. WTF, all she did was hiding, running away and weeping, for heaven's sake! Leaving her sister behind and not giving a damn but instead egoistically celebrated her freedom and keept running away until her problems are magically solved in the end. Yeah, awesome role-model. Sorry for continuing my rant, but it really gets on my nerves. Disney has created so many strong and brave female characters, Mulan, Pocahontas, Belle, Tiana to only name a few and the emo eye-candy aka Elsa gets treated like a goddess. Bleah.

Pippalina : Awww, well, there are several stories about exactly what you requested ( I remember reading some of them years ago ), so I don't feel like writing a similar one myself.

Guest : Oh? I thought it was final that there wouldn't be a sequel. Like I said, in Hollywood everything is about money and profit, so when the first movie wasn't a success then chances that there'll be a sequel are pretty slim.

Miss Lib93 : Fussy me immediately thought, how can he see a picture of his sister on a computer when photography wasn't even invented by the time she lived. Ahem, nevermind.

Yeah, the hype got bigger and bigger until everyone thought „Hey, so many people say it's the best movie ever, so it MUST be the best movie ever!" I'm so annoyed by Frozen merchandise and commercials everywhere and the retarded Jelsa-shipping online. Fanherd, what have you done!? :|
Sadly, pretty princesses is what people expect from Disney and the success proves them right.

I really miss traditionally animated movies like Tarzan, Lion King or Hercules...

Mysteryfan17 : That would have been even more dramatic and I kinda like the idea, but I was mean to him often enough, didn't want to make it even worse. ;)

Also thanks to AyameKitsune, DragonRobotkid676, Q-A the Authoress, Guest, AngeGirlmon, CauldronSky for their reviews!

A friend tagged me on Facebook for the song-challenge. The rules were that you had to set your ipod / whatever on "Random", choose a theme and write something inspired by 10 songs, but only as long as the songs are playing and without any prior planning. It was a true challenge because whenever I write something it takes really, really long since I overthink every tiny bit.

Of course I chose RotG ( and forgot to count so it were 14 songs all of a sudden, ooops ).

1.„Kings and Queens" - 30 Seconds to Mars :

Jack flew through the sky, as fast as the wind could take him. The stars shone above him, the lights of the cities under him. When he was carried by the chilly breeze he forgot his worries, his loneliness, and focused on the freedom he was blessed with. No one told him what to do, he could do whatever he wanted, whenever he felt like doing it. He was a free spirit, the planet was his playground, countless countries to explore. In his world, he was the king, the only one he had to listen to and the only one who could control him, and the only one who cared about his existence.

2.„Will You Be There" - Michael Jackson :

More often than not in the 300 years of his immortal life did Jack imagine what it would be like to have friends or a family. Have someone he could talk to, someone who would listen, someone who would hug him when he was down, cheer him up, dry his tears when he hadn't been able to take the world's cruelty anymore, to chase away his despair. It was his most treasured wish to one day have people who loved him, who where there for him, no matter how much trouble he caused or how annoying he might be. Someone who would never leave him alone again.

3.„February Song" - Josh Groban :

The first living being who had ever seen him had died. Rover, the dog who had been his first and only friend, wasn't there anymore. Weeks had passed since his death and Jack was still not able to come back to the spot in the woods where he had always played with him. That day in February had been like a stab to his heart, he came there and waited for his furry buddy like every month but this time he didn't appear. The last time he had seen him he had been visibly weak and old, but deep down Jack had hoped Rover would hold on just a little longer. He couldn't take the bitter truth of being completely on his own again. The dog's company was what kept him going as he tried to figure out why he was in this world in the first place. But now his friend was gone and he was thrown back into the dreaded loneliness.

4.„Some Nights" - Fun :

Fireworks were shot into the nightly sky, illuminating the darkness with brightly sparkling colours as people around the world celebrated the new year. Jack traveled from country to country, from one continent to the other to witness it all over and over again. The prospect of a new start gave him hope. Things would change for the better, his life would improve, he would finally be seen. All the suffering, the loneliness, it would be worth it. He smiled as he gazed up at the pink, orange and green lit sparkles exploding and raining back down to earth. Yes, it would be worth it all.

5.„The Winner Takes It All" - ABBA :

As usual he had tried whatever he could to make children see him. Had caused snow days, had started snowball fights and created a never-ending pile of snowballs and blessed them with as much fun as he was able to. They laughed and cheered as they had the best snow day ever and then walked right through him while talking about what Santa Clause would bring them for christmas. Maybe he simply wasn't meant to be seen, he didn't know what he should do anymore, it was like fighting against windmills while they only had eyes for the guardians. Nothing else seemed to matter, the possibility that there might be other spirits around must have never crossed their minds. He should accept the fact that he wasn't supposed to win this battle.

6.„Moments Like This" - Reamonn :

No way he would give up. He had endured 257 years, had managed to survive all on his own, he could handle this. People had walked right through him again because he hadn't paid enough attention. He hated this feeling, it hurt and made him feel sick to his stomach. But he was a stubborn guy, he wouldn't allow it to bring him down. He had suffered enough, depression had driven him to his limits, no, he didn't want this anymore. He would enjoy life and make the best of it. Have fun. He was strong, he could do this.

7.„You Are Not Alone" - Michael Jackson :

Sometimes Jack thought he heard voices, late at night when he was almost asleep. A tender voice telling him he was not alone. He wished he could believe it. To him it was merely wishful thinking, but now and then doubts and despair made him reconsider it. Maybe there was really someone watching over him? When he woke up he gazed up at the moon, if it was on purpose or unconsciously he didn't know. If only it was true, but then why didn't the moon say it when he was awake? It would mean the world to him, but probably he should be satisfied with having someone speak to him at all, even if it was just his own mind deep at night.

8.„Faith" - Reamonn :

Pitch had tricked him, had taken Baby Tooth as hostage, the guardians were convinced he had betrayed them, Bunny hated his guts and now the Boogeyman had even broken his staff, his counduit of power, and thrown him down that icy ravine. Jack wouldn't give up, no, it was now or never to prove that he was worthy of being a guardian and not the troublemaker everyone thought he was. He fixed his staff and shot out of the cold prison, he would save the guardians and restore the belief of the children.

9.„In My Remains" - Linkin Park :

He had given up counting how many times people had walked through him or malevolent spirits had openly expressed how much they dreaded his mere existence. He was sick of fighting for recognition and acceptance. What had once been a cheerful and enthusiastic young spirit was now a devastated immortal being, who wondered day in and day out how long it would take for his soul to shatter after being broken over and over again.

10.„Forever Young" - Carol Parks ( Care Bears Movie II ) :

It wasn't easy to say if it was a blessing or a curse, being an immortal and never growing older. He would stay young for all eternity. Worries about illnesses or his body getting weaker were problems Jack would never know. He still had a lot of other issues which took those spots, but it was still nice to not have to worry about things like these. He experienced the evolution of civilizations, the growth of cities, how much the world changed in 300 years. New technologies, new ways of life, new problems and new solutions. When he rose from the icy lake he had never imagined to see inventions like cars, planes and spaceships. It was exciting to witness it all and he wondered what was yet to come.

11.„Somewhere over the Rainbow" - Israel Kamakawiwo'ole :

On a day in early spring Jack sat on a branch of his favourite tree in the forest of Burgess and lazily gazed up at the clear blue sky. The rainclouds which had covered it less than half an hour ago had almost vanished completely and only left a beautiful rainbow as if to apologize for the bad weather they had spread over his hometown. Far in the distance he heard children approaching and chatting happily. Without a doubt they were also relieved that the rain had stopped and that the sun was smiling down at them again and blessing them with its warmth. In some moments life seemed perfectly peaceful.

12.„Nothing Else Matters" - Metallica :

Of course had he heard about the guardians, had tried to get their attention but that hadn't worked too well, to say the least. For a while he had wondered how it was to be them, how they managed to do their jobs and what kept them going. But after they kept ignoring him he had stopped bothering to think about them. They didn't care about him so he wouldn't waste his thoughts on them either. When he was chosen as guardian and kidnapped by the yetis he had been rather pissed off. First they ignored him for three centuries and now they acted as if nothing had ever happened.

After the battle against Pitch was won things had changed a lot, however. In only a few days they had become friends and fought on each other's side. They cared for each other, they cared for HIM, even though they had only known him for a short time. And it was the same way he felt about them. He had never been so close to anyone and he wouldn't allow anyone to hurt his friends, his new family. It was time to let the past behind him and to welcome the future.

13.„Break Away" - Kelly Clarkson :

Spreading winter was his job, the only meaning of life he knew. And yet, sometimes Jack had the unstoppable desire to just fly away from people. They didn't hear him, no matter how much he screamed at them, pleaded for them to look at him, to acknowledge his existence. When he couldn't take their ignorance anymore he begged the wind to take him away. The embrace of the cold breeze comforted him, the speed and adrenaline rushing through his veins made him forget the pain. He would return, but sometimes he just had to get away from everything.

14.„Earth Song" - Michael Jackson :

It was hard to believe what humans did to the planet in such a short amount of time. So many species had vanished, so many forests had been destroyed, so many cities been built and the population kept growing. One war after the other terrorized mankind, the innocents and children most of all, and each time Jack had desperately hoped humanity had finally learned its lesson the next war was already starting. He would never understand why people kept fighting and kicking what was given to them with their feet. Nature was a blessing, he loved his forest and was grateful it hadn't been teared down as well yet, but watching the rest of the planet slowly but surely being destroyed made him feel so frustrated and helpless. His only hope was that the next generation would realize the mistakes of the past and not repeat them.
