Chapter 26
Nagisa was looking at Keitaro blushing and Keitaro simply smiled as he gently stroked the strands of Nagisa's long black hair.
"Keitaro, I'm ready," Nagisa said blushing as she closed her eyes.
Keitaro chuckled devilishly and then moved closer to Nagisa's face and was about to kiss her. Motoko gasped and panted heavily and wide eyed. Motoko looked at her surrounding and saw that she was still in her family's home in Kyoto. Motoko was actually sitting in her family's garden and was trying to meditate but it was obvious to her that she wasn't able to do that and then she blushed and had her hand on her head.
"Why?" Motoko asked herself, "Why did I imagine something like that?"
Motoko slumped and clenched her teeth and then looked up and then thought about the call she received earlier by Mayako Oyame.
Shichimura Apartment Complex
In the Aoyama family apartment, Nagisa went in her room and closed the door behind her. She then sighed and thought about when she kissed Keitaro on the cheek. It just dawned on her on what she did and she blushed profusely and had her hands on her head.
"I can't believe I did that," Nagisa said still blushing, "oh my goodness, what is Keitaro going to think? Did I make it weird?"
Nagisa was worried and sat on the floor and was still blushing and her heart was pounding. Meanwhile, Keitaro was in the lobby and was actually smiling and blushing when he got that kiss from Nagisa and placed his hand on the spot where Nagisa kissed him.
"I wonder," Keitaro said to himself, "maybe I can ask her—"
"Keitaro Urashima!" A female voice called.
Keitaro looked over and was surprised to see Amalla Su who had an angry expression towards Keitaro.
"Amalla Su," Keitaro said surprised, "hi, I didn't expect to see you here. How have you been?"
"Cut the small talk," Amalla replied harshly glaring at Keitaro, "you must know why I'm here."
Keitaro sighed and frowned and then he nodded.
"It's about your sister," Keitaro said.
Amalla walked and got in Keitaro's face with a glare.
"That's right," Amalla said, "I say you have a lot to explain yourself."
Keitaro sighed, "Let's go to my place and I'll brew some tea."
Amalla moved away, "Don't think you can say nor do anything that will make me less angry with you?"
"Believe me, I'm not," Keitaro turned around, "well?"
Amalla sighed, "Very well, lead the way."
Keitaro headed for his apartment with Amalla following him. Meanwhile, Ranma was in his own apartment and just placed a bottle of water on the table. Akane was sitting on a chair by a table with her broken mallet and frowned while Nyamo was sitting on a chair as well with Gidget standing next to her. Akane just looked at the giant turtle and thought it was amazing that someone who kept the turtle of that size as a pet. Akane then looked at Ranma again who sat down and was drinking his water.
"You don't seem surprised seeing my turtle," Nyamo commented.
"I've seen a lot weird stuff go on in Nerima," Akane replied, "so seeing your huge turtle doesn't surprise me."
"I see," Nyamo said and nodded, "yes, I see what you mean. Ranma-sensei told me a lot of things that goes in Nerima."
Akane turned her attention to Ranma.
"So you're really not coming back to Nerima?" Akane asked.
"No, I'm not," Ranma answered.
Akane didn't like what she heard, "Why?"
"You know why Akane."
"You humiliated us," Akane said bitterly, "you know that, right?"
"You know full well that I really didn't do anything," Ranma pointed out, "you, Kasumi, and Nabiki humiliated yourselves," Ranma sighed, "Akane, let's just stop this. The relationship we had was never good, it was too toxic. You were always jumping to conclusions on what was going on…of course I was just as bad as well, I admit that now," Ranma sighed and frowned, "I wish I had known better."
"So that's it?" Akane said with bits of tears from her eyes, "You're just going to turn your back on us, on me just like that?"
"If that's how you see it but I'm ending this…we never should have gone along with the engagement," Ranma frowned, "we never should have listened to our hypocritical fathers who would preach about honor yet they didn't really have any themselves."
Akane had her head down and clenched her fists.
"There is something I want to ask," Akane said.
"What is it?" Ranma replied.
"Ranma, you knew that Ryoga was P-Chan the whole time, didn't you?"
Ranma looked away feeling ashamed, "Yeah…I know I should have told you and I could have easily prove it to you."
"I see…" Akane was shaking in anger and was also feeling embarrassed, "why the hell didn't you?"
"Because I idiotically listened to our dads and that damn Happosai…"
Meanwhile in Keitaro's apartment, Keitaro placed a cup of tea in front if Amalla and Amalla held the cup and took a sip. She put the cup down and glared at Keitaro.
"Keitaro Urashima, I'm very upset with you," Amalla said, "You know that right?"
"Yes, I do," Keitaro replied.
"It's not just you," Amalla continued, "I'm upset with the other girls from that inn, your grandmother and that aunt of yours, Haruka. I hold all of you responsible, more so with you Keitaro because as manager, you really did nothing while my sister was creating dangerous things and had things in this country that was illegal and you kept quiet about it."
"Now hold on," Keitaro said, "while it is true that I'm guilty of not really putting my foot down and for being stupid in what she was doing, that doesn't mean that your sister is not responsible for her own actions. Besides, even I didn't know the things she had that were considered illegal. If I had known, I would have done something about."
"Tch, that's a lie. You would have turned a blind eye just like how you always do. I never met anyone as stupid and inept as you."
"Really?" Keitaro responded.
Amalla scoffed at what Keitaro had just said.
"I'm not saying that my sister isn't responsible for her actions," Amalla said getting defensive, "but at the same time, it sounds like to me you're just making excuses."
"I'm not," Keitaro replied calmly.
Amalla didn't like the calm expression that Keitaro had on his face and had to make sure she didn't lose her cool.
"Hmph anyway, I just want to let you know that you and the other stupid, arrogant fools will be investigated," Amalla said, "No doubt that you'll suffer the consequences for not reporting what my sister was doing and you Keitaro Urashima, I hope you get disgraced for enabling my sister's bad acts," Amalla sighed bitterly, "I should have tried harder to bring my sister home, she would have never caused such disgrace and destroy the relationship with our two countries," Amalla stood up, "anyway, I said what I came here to say to you. Apologize to your family and explain why you have to end up in jail for your stupidity. Honestly, how could you not know what my sister was doing was illegal and how could you consider yourself to be manager of an inn and allow the tenants to intimidate you. You're a disgusting disgrace."
Amalla left Keitaro's apartment and Keitaro just sat and sighed as he rubbed the temple of his head.
"Well, I guess I know what I have to do tomorrow morning," Keitaro said, "and know what to expect."
Keitaro stood up and began to take the cup Amalla drank from.
"I should probably give them a call as well," Keitaro said to himself.
Meanwhile, Akane was leaving Ranma's apartment with a bitter expression. Akane was upset and was she was shaking her head in disbelief. Akane walked away and was on her way to leave the apartment complex. As Akane arrived in the lobby, the front door entrance opened and it was Isana and Isana was surprised to see Akane.
"Akane?" Isana spoke, "Soun's daughter?"
"Hmm?" Akane responded looking at Isana, "Yes, I'm Akane. Do you know my father?"
"Yes, I'm Isana Aoyama," Isana answered.
"Oh, so it's you," Akane replied, "you and your husband are the ones that Ranma met."
"Yes…I take it you came here to see Ranma and tried to get him to go back to Nerima."
Akane looked away with a frown, "Only because my daddy wouldn't stop bugging me and my sisters to get him back…but he has no interest," Akane then sported a relieved expression, "and you know what, that's fine with me. I never cared for the arraigned marriage anyway. I'm actually relieved. Now I'm free and I don't have to deal with Ranma's antics and his perversion. Yep, I've never been so happy in my life actually. This whole thing was a bother anyway and you know what," Akane looked at Isana, "you and your husband actually did me a favor in convincing that half-man pervert to leave and live here. Now I don't have to deal with him anymore and I get to choose my own life. Anyway, I'll be taking my leave so good-bye."
Akane walked passed Isana and left the apartment complex and Isana didn't even turn to see Akane leave.
"That girl," Isana said and then she had a sympathetic expression, "at least do a better job of giving an expression of relief and not let your eyes start welling up."
Outside on the sidewalk, tears were streaming from Akane's eyes. She stopped and wiped the tears from her face.
"Why?" Akane asked herself, "Why am I like this?"
Back in Ranma's apartment, Ranma just stayed seated and sighed.
"Sensei, are you all right?" Nyamo asked.
Ranma looked at Nyamo and Gidget and then he nodded.
"Yeah, I'm okay," Ranma said, "I just find myself wishing that I wasn't such an idiot."
"Hmm, Keitaro is the same way," Nyamo said sadly.
"Yeah, I heard about Keitaro's situation as well…of course the two of us know that just being regretful isn't going to do any good to us," Ranma then had a determined expression, "the only we can do is how we go on from the next point," Ranma nodded and hit his face with his hands, "anyway Nyamo, are you ready for your lessons?"
"Yes, I'm ready," Nyamo said with determination.
Gidget also had a determined expression and Ranma smiled and nodded. Meanwhile, Keitaro exited his apartment and went on his way. He soon arrived at the roof of the Shichimura Apartment Complex and he found that there was someone already there looking at the sky and it was Ritsuko who was smoking a cigarette. Ritsuko turned and saw Keitaro.
"Oh Keitaro," Ritsuko said.
"Hi Ritsuko," Keitaro greeted with a smile, "did you come to relax here in the roof as well?"
"Yes, I did," Ritsuko answered with a smile, "I'm guessing you're here to do the same."
"Yeah, considering with the things that have been going on recently. And you?"
"Me?" Ritsuko thought about it a bit and then she sighed, "I'm just trying to get my mind off of things."
"Things?"
"Yes, specifically the things that I've done," Ritsuko frowned, "horrible things…things that I did just to please a man who really didn't give a damn about me…even though I loved him."
"Oh," Keitaro spoke surprised, "um, do you…want to talk about it?"
"Huh?" Ritsuko responded and looked at Keitaro surprised, "A-Are you serious?"
"Y-Yeah, if you want to," Keitaro replied, "and you might feel better about it. I learned that sometimes talking about it with someone helps and it's a lot better than just bottling it all up. Of course, that's just me. Like I said if you want to."
"I see…" Ritsuko said and then she nodded, "in that case, will you spend some time with me so that I can tell you?"
Keitaro smiled, "Sure."
"Thank you," Ritsuko said with a smile.
Keitaro stood next to Ritsuko and Ritsuko took a deep breath.
"I used to work for a company called NERV," Ritsuko started.
Yukina's Apartment
Yukina was in the kitchen pouring some hot tea in three tea cups. Yukina looked back seeing Shinobu and her mother Aki sitting on the couches talking.
"I just want you to come home with me," Aki said, "that's all I want."
"I know you do Mom," Shinobu said, "and you know that Dad also wants me to go to him as well."
"Well your father is not fit," Aki said strongly.
"Mom, I know that it's only a matter of time before Dad finds out and then he'll rush to get me to go home with him. I know that you two will start arguing again about whom I should stay with and I can't deal with that," Shinobu shook her head sadly, "I can't deal with the fighting you will do again."
"Shinobu, I care and am concern for your well-being," Aki said, "I promise I won't let anything happen to you."
"I know you do and I know that Dad is the same way."
"Shinobu," Aki frowned when her daughter mentioned her ex-husband.
"Mom, what I want is for the three of us to get together and talk it over," Shinobu said.
"Talk it over?" Aki repeated surprised, "You want me, you, and your father together to talk it over?" Aki shook her head, "Shinobu, it's never going to work."
"I want to try," Shinobu insisted, "look, I'm not saying that you and Dad should love each other or even be close, I'm just saying that we should have some common ground. Mom, it's hurts me a lot to see you and Dad just fight, fight, fight. I'm not saying that you two have to like each other again but I don't want to be caught in the middle and be used as leverage against you two."
"S-Shinobu, I…" Aki spoke surprised and then looked away with a sad expression.
Shinobu placed her hand over her mother's hand and Aki looked at her daughter surprised.
"I care about you Mom and I care about Dad too," Shinobu said with tears forming from her eyes, "you two are my parents and I will always love you both and even though you two are divorced, it hurts to see you two at each other's throats."
"Shinobu," Aki said.
Aki wasn't sure what to say and placed her hands over her daughters and there was a tender moment between mother and daughter. Yukina looked over to her door and then she walked over to her door and opened it. There was a man standing and was surprised that Yukina had already opened her door. Shinobu and Aki looked over and were surprised to see the man. It was Yasuhara Maehara, Shinobu's father as well as Yukina's older brother and Aki's ex-husband.
"I figured you showed up," Yukina said.
"Dad," Shinobu said surprised.
"Yasuhara," Aki said.
Yasuhara just stood and he looked at his sister, then his ex-wife, and then his daughter.
Mutsumi's Apartment
Mutsumi, Hina, and Naru were sitting and they were not happy. Hina had just returned from court and the ruling did not go in her favor.
"So you actually…lost?" Mutsumi asked.
"Yes," Hina said upset, "I can't believe this happened but it seems that I lost the case and now, the inn is still in Marumi's control."
"But I don't understand," Naru said upset, "how could this happen? You were so sure that you would get the inn back."
"I was sure," Hina said shaking her head, "but it seems that it would not to be," Hina sighed sadly, "if I had known this was going to happen, I would have been more careful with the deed and giving them to Keitaro."
Flashback: Civil Court
The judge who was an old man wearing glasses looked over the documents. He sighed and placed the documents down.
"I have looked over the documents," The judge said and then he sighed, "This is really a no brainer and honestly, I don't understand why this needed to be taken to court in the first place."
"Oh then you understand," Hina said being hopeful.
The judge cleared his throat, "I do and based on what was present to me, my ruling is in favor of one Marumi Urashima."
Hina was shocked and Marumi nodded and bowed.
"Thank you Your Honor," Marumi said humbly.
"Hold on, you can't be serious of being in favor to her," Hina said in shock and pointing at Marumi.
"I don't joke when I do my job Ms. Urashima," The judge replied, "and I doubt any other judge would be foolish to do so."
"But I don't understand," Hina replied back.
"You—" The judge spoke and couldn't believe what he was just heard, "Why is that hard for you to believe or understand? You have presented nothing in this case. All you have is your word saying that your grandson who you signed the document of the Hinata Inn over was under stress due to unfortunate circumstances, circumstances that you say you can't talk about. Of course, even if you did talk about it, it wouldn't change the fact that your grandson had the document set for him to change to whoever he would give it to, which in this case, your daughter and of course would allow her to have it set in her name. And reading the document, it was set up by you for you to allow your grandson hand over the ownership as long as the person is a member within the Urashima family."
"Your honor, I was certain that if I talked to him, that my grandson would change his mind and take the inn back," Hina said.
"Well, he didn't and it's now not only out of his hands, it's out of yours," The judge said with a shrug, "I've made my ruling, my ruling on something that I said earlier, something that didn't need to go to court for."
"Wait, just like that?" Hina asked upset, "You're just going to allow it just like that? You're just going to allow my daughter to have control of the Hinata Inn? You know who I am and what I had provided for this city, don't you Munechika Fujimori?"
The judge named Munechika Fujimori simply sighed and shook his head while glaring at Hina.
"Listen Ms. Urashima, first off it is Judge Fujimori to you and I will not allow you speak to me like I'm a subordinate," Judge Fujimori said warned strongly, "now I don't know what you your stance is around here or how much of a important person you…delude yourself to be but I'm not going to just make my ruling just out of convenience to you. I took an oath on this bench and I intend to follow through," Fujimori shrugged, "if this doesn't make you happy, too bad but I have a duty to fulfill. If you had presented something more concrete, it would have been a different outcome but you didn't and I made my decision," Fujimori picked up his gavel, "Court is adjourned."
Fujimori hit the gavel and he stood up. Hina was upset and then she looked over to Marumi who simply shrugged and didn't gloat or have any victory like expression.
"Good day Mom," Marumi said as she walked away.
Hina was visibly more upset and she had her head down.
Flashback End
Hina was still upset and shook her head.
"This was not how it was suppose to go," Hina said.
"Granny, what are we going to do?" Naru asked.
"I…I don't know," Hina said shaking her head, "for the first time in a very long time…I'm…I'm actually out of ideas. I'm sorry girls, I feel that I failed you as well."
"Granny," Mutsumi said, "please don't be hard on yourself."
"That's right," Naru said, "after all…this…this all because of Keitaro."
"Naru…" Hina said.
"It is," Naru insisted, "if he hadn't handed the deed to the inn over to Haruka, then none of this would have happened."
"I never thought that Keitaro would abandon his duties and hand the deed over Haruka who would then hand it over to Marumi. If I had realized of that possibility then I…"
Hina silenced herself and had her head down feeling ashamed.
"So now what?" Mutsumi asked, "Is there really nothing we can do about the Hinata Inn?"
"I'm sad to say that the Hinata Inn is lost to me," Hina said.
Naru got upset and angrily got up and left the apartment. Mutsumi and Hina looked on and Mutsumi went to go after Naru and assured Hina that she'll look after Naru and Hina thanked her that. Hina then frowned and thought about the judge.
"Munechika Fujimori," Hina said with disdain and she closed her eyes in frustration, "Darn it why? Why?"
Next Day, Maximum Security Prison
Su was brought in the interrogation room by one of the prison guards. She sat in a chair and looked around. Su couldn't take the fact that she had be in the security prison and wanted to leave.
"So when do I get to leave?" Su asked.
The prison guard didn't say anything and just glared at Su and Su didn't like it.
"C'mon, don't look at me like that," Su said being very upset, "I want to go home. I don't want to be here anymore."
The door suddenly opened and it was the two detectives, Ishida and Maeda.
"Hello Miss Su," Ishida said.
"Um, so when do I get to leave here?" Su asked, "I really don't like it here."
Ishida and Maeda looked at each other and then back to Su.
"Yeah, here's the thing," Maeda said, "you're not really going to be going anywhere…well, except to a courtroom where your fate will be ultimately decided."
"Huh, what do you mean?" Su said losing herself a bit, "Hey, this isn't fun. I don't like this game that we're playing."
"Game?" Ishida asked as he and Maeda were annoyed at the notion, "Young lady, this is no game."
Ishida and Maeda sat across from Su.
"Kaolla Su," Maeda said with a serious expression, "with the incident that you caused in Ikebukuro and what we have discovered of the items you possessed, items deemed illegal here in Japan, there is no way that you'll be getting out anytime soon."
Su looked at the two detectives and was confused.
"Um, I'm just a kid," Su said, "I'm also a Princess of Molmol. If you ask my brother, the king, surely he can—"
"That is not going to do you much good and claiming that you're just a kid isn't going to get you out of this," Ishida said with a serious expression.
"Uh…uh…." Su spoke, "wait, let me at least talk to Big Brother Keitaro and Granny Hina. You'll see," Su was gradually breaking down, "just…j-just you wait and…"
The two detectives simply shook their heads.
"There's too much on you," Ishida explained, "so much that no words from others can help you out of it."
Su couldn't believe what she was hearing and she was shaking her head and refused to believe with what was going as Maeda showed the file he had on hand and he opened the file that had much on Su and her activities.
Public Safety Office
Keitaro was in front of the premises and he took a deep breath and went inside. Keitaro walked over to the secretary sitting in her desk.
"Good morning," The secretary greeted, "may I help you?"
"Yes," Keitaro said, "my name is Keitaro Urashima; I would like to speak to the people handling the case in regards of Kaolla Su."
"K-Keitaro Urashima," The secretary spoke surprised, "wow, they were actually about to set to go pay you a visit. Wait here, I'll call someone."
"Sure," Keitaro said with a nod.
Tokyo University
Mutsumi entered the campus still concern for Naru and Hina and then fact that Hina had lost her civil case and was not going to get the Hinata Inn back. It all motivated Mutsumi to do something about Keitaro.
"Once I help Keitaro, he'll help out in getting the inn back," Mutsumi smiled, "then things will be just like before…to how they should be," Mutsumi nodded at the plan, "after my classes are over, we'll begin," Mutsumi then had a concerned expression, "although I am concern about the way we're start this…" Mutsumi shook her head, "no, I shouldn't doubt it. I just have to trust them."
Mutsumi caught a glimpse of someone and it was Ohana and she called out to her. Ohana heard Mutsumi's voice and turned to see her rushing towards her and Ohana simply sighed.
"Good morning Ohana," Mutsumi greeted with a smile.
"Good morning Mutsumi," Ohana replied, "Um Mutsumi, you do know that we have an exam today, a very important one."
"Oh," Mutsumi replied and thought about it and then she nodded, "yes, I remember."
"Well, I'm glad you remember," A man's voice said.
Mutsumi and Ohana looked and saw a middle aged lean man who had black hair with a reciting hairline with brown eyes and wore a light brown suit.
"Oh good morning Takeda-sensei," Ohana greeted.
"Good morning Takeda-sensei," Mutsumi greeted.
"Good morning ladies," Takeda greeted and then he cleared his throat, "Otohime, I need to have a word with you."
"Oh, I see," Mutsumi replied.
"I'll go on ahead," Ohana said, "I'll see you in a bit Mutsumi."
"Oh, okay."
Ohana nodded and went on her way.
"So where should we go?" Mutsumi asked.
"Right here is fine," Takeda replied, "Otohime, it is my understanding that you didn't show up to my class yesterday. Did something happen?"
"Oh yes," Mutsumi said, "it was about Naru."
"Hmm, Narusegawa," Takeda spoke, "yes, I'm aware that Narusegawa was expelled yesterday," Takeda sighed and shook his head, "it really is unfortunate. She had a bright future. Of course, with Narusegawa no longer being my class, what does it have to do with you and not being in my class?"
"Naru was unfairly expelled and I went to do what I could to help her," Mutsumi explained, "so I went and spent time with Naru for the rest of the day."
Takeda was surprised and looked at Mutsumi with a raised eyebrow.
"Let me get me straight," Takeda said, "are you telling that the reason you weren't in my class was so that you would spend time with Narusegawa?"
"Yes," Mutsumi said, "Naru needed support and I felt that I could help her in any way I can."
"Well, I suppose that's kind of you but still it does concern me."
"Huh?"
"Otohime, I don't know what's going on but for the past few days, you haven't been doing well and this exam is will affect your overall grade in my class," Takeda said, "I've been saying it to you and the rest of the class for three weeks and you better hope that you pass the exam today because if you don't, it is high chance that you won't pass my class."
Mutsumi was shocked, "Oh dear…"
"That's all I wanted to tell you," Takeda said.
Takeda left and Mutsumi blinked her eyes and tilted her head.
"Ara ara," Mutsumi said in a nervous tone, "what to do?"
Mutsumi's Apartment
Naru was sitting by the table with a frowning expression. Now that it was clear that Hinata Inn was out of Hina's hands, Naru thought about Keitaro with hatred and disdain as she truly believed that Keitaro was at fault for everything bad that has happened. Naru sighed as she looked around and saw that she was the only one here. Hina had also left and was on her way to talk to someone to get her back in Tokyo University.
"Please Granny," Naru said wanting to be hopeful, "please get me back in Todai."
There was a sudden ring on the doorbell and Naru looked over and went to the door. She looked through the peephole and saw that it was Chisato and Kagura and she opened the door for them.
"Kagura, Chisato," Naru said.
"It's good to see you again Naru," Chisato said.
"Indeed," Kagura said with a smile.
"I assume that Mutsumi went to school already."
"Yes," Naru said with a nod, "I should have been in school as well," Naru frowned, "but no, Keitaro had to be a perverted idiot jerk and get me expelled."
"Relax Naru," Kagura assured, "because the time has come."
"So, we'll get started," Naru said.
"Yes and the start will be with Mutsumi at the Tokyo University campus," Chisato said.
"This will work, right?" Naru asked.
"Don't worry," Kagura assured, "it will."
"Finally," Naru said, "Keitaro will finally pay for he has done."
"Also his cousin Yoshinari," Chisato said.
"And Nagisa as well," Kagura said.
"Right…" Naru said, "Say this plan, it will work, right? There won't be any backlash on us, right?"
"Don't worry Naru," Kagura said with a smug smile, "my family is well connected. As long as you're with me, there is nothing for you to really worry about."
"I see," Naru nodded, "thank you."
"Now then, we just have to wait for Mutsumi to play her part," Chisato said.
Tokyo University
Mutsumi was in a lecture hall and had just handed her exam over to Takeda. Mutsumi bowed and left the lecture hall. Takeda looked at Mutsumi's exam and he frowned and shook his head.
"I can already tell," Takeda said in his head.
Mutsumi was walking through the hallway and then she saw two people and it was Keitaro and Seta and they were speaking to each other. Mutsumi got curious and went closer to hear them talk.
"I see," Keitaro said, "so you spoke with Aunt Haruka."
"Yes," Seta said, "I apologized to her for my actions and then we spoke for some time," Seta smiled, "we decided to start over meet each other halfway. I don't intend to try to get Haruka to marry me anymore and I just want to build and gain trust with her."
"I see," Keitaro said and then he nodded with approval, "I'm sure it will work out."
"Thanks, we certainly did have a lot to talk about."
Mutsumi was amazed in what she was hearing.
"Oh, did you need something Mutsumi?" Seta asked suddenly.
Mutsumi was surprised and saw that Keitaro and Seta were looking right at her and Keitaro glared at Mutsumi.
"I have to go," Keitaro said, "I'll see you later Seta."
"Huh?" Seta spoke a bit confused and looked at Keitaro, "Uh, sure…see you later Keitaro."
Keitaro nodded at Seta and left. Mutsumi was sad and Seta turned to his attention to Mutsumi.
"Mutsumi, did you need something?" Seta asked.
"Oh, I just wanted to talk to Keitaro," Mutsumi said, "so if you'll excuse me."
Mutsumi bowed to Seta and rushed to go to a different direction. Seta simply looked on and wondered what was going on.
Tokyo Train Station
The train had just arrived and people were getting off the train. One of the people getting off the train was Motoko who was in casual clothing which was a blue sweater, teal pants, and black shoes. Etsuko also came out of the train. Motoko was feeling a bit nervous.
"You seem nervous dear," Etsuko said.
"Um somewhat," Motoko said, "it hasn't been long since I was here."
"I suppose so," Etsuko said, "anyway, we need to move."
Tsuruko came out and stood next to Etsuko.
"Yes, let us be off," Tsuruko said and then she looked at Motoko with a serious expression, "I must admit, I am surprised. I didn't think that you would help Motoko."
"I understand why you would be wary Sister," Motoko said with downcast expression, "giving my previous behavior but I assure you, that I want to help and also I…" Motoko looked away feeling ashamed.
"Well have plenty time to talk after we take care of this situation," Etsuko said.
"I agree Grandmother," Tsuruko said.
"Yes, as do I," Motoko said.
"Okay, let's go," Etsuko said.
Motoko, Tsuruko, and Etsuko made their way out of the train station.
Shinobu's High School
Shinobu was in class listing in the lecture that her teacher was giving along with her classmates. Soon, class had ended and the teacher was giving homework assignments and reminding the students to that their exams were coming up very soon. A male faculty member arrived and spoke to the teacher who was about to leave and then the teacher nodded and looked over to Shinobu and called for her. Shinobu was surprised and went over to them and was informed of something and Shinobu was surprised but nodded and made her way out. The other students in the class saw Shinobu leave with the two faculty members and wondered what was going on. In the hall, Shinobu was following one of the faculty members and they arrived near a door where two men in suits were waiting patiently. They looked over and saw Shinobu.
"Maehara, these men are here to speak to you," The faculty member said.
"Shinobu Maehara?" One of the men in suits asked.
"Yes?" Shinobu responded.
"We're here to talk to you about Kaolla Su," The other man in the suit said.
"Yes, I actually figured you would come to see me," Shinobu said, "I'm guessing that it has to do with the incident in Ikebukuro and the…things she had done in the past in her time here," Shinobu bowed, "I'll cooperate and answer any questions you have."
"Well, this just makes things easier," The first man in the suit said, "We appreciate it."
"So then, let us go where we can talk," The second man said.
St. Clavius Academy
Sarah was in a classroom in her St. Clavius uniform sitting in a desk and she was bitter. Sarah was glaring at a female teacher who had short light gray hair and wore glasses.
"So Sarah, you insist on doing things the hard way," The teacher said glaring at Sarah.
"I shouldn't have to put up with this stupid thing," Sarah said in defiance, "it's not my fault those girls were dumb trying to tell me what to do."
"They see you reading something that had no relevance to the class and then you go and kick them in their legs," The teacher said angrily.
"So what?" Sarah said smugly, "I'm not going to apologize."
"Actually you are," The teacher replied, "you seem to think that you're going to get away with the nonsense you did back where you were staying before but that's not going to work for you here young lady."
"I shouldn't have to listen to you!" Sarah said trying to be intimidating, "I'm warning you, I can make your life miserable, just like I did to that stupid dork Keitaro!"
"Oh really?" The teacher responded giving Sarah a cold death glare.
The glare actually made Sarah nervous and she felt a chill up to her spine.
"So you want to do things the hard way," The teacher said to Sarah, "so be it. It's your choice."
Tokyo University
Hina arrived on the campus and went on her way as she looked around the campus.
"I've haven't been here since Haruka graduated," Hina commented.
Meanwhile, President Shimata was in his office going through documents. He was informed that Hina had arrived and Shimata had Hina to come through to his office. Hina arrived and smiled seeing Shimata.
"It's good to see you again Hina," Shimata said with a smile.
"It's good to see you too Rokuro," Hina replied with a smile.
Hina sat across from Shimata's desk and Shimata sat down in his desk.
"Thanks for taking the time to see me," Hina said.
"Not a problem, so what can I do for you?" Shimata asked.
"Well…it's has to do with Naru Narusegawa, the girl who was expelled yesterday."
"Ah yes," Shimata said with sullen expression, "I did learn that she was staying in your inn and was surprised to learn that it was converted to an all-girls dorm."
"Yes…look Rokuro, you and I go way back from the time you worked in my inn. You were quite the hard worker."
"Really," Shimata said feeling humbled, "well, you did help me out. I was quite different back then, someone who didn't care for anything or anyone, not even myself."
"But you changed for the better and things got better for you…which is why I want to mention about Naru."
"Naru…Narusegawa?" Shimata asked, "What do you mean?"
"Naru has made mistakes, unfortunate mistakes and it's true that Naru has a…bit of a bad temper. However, Naru is a hard worker and takes her studies very seriously. Naru is trying her best and I know she really feels bad for what she did. Rokuro, I came here to ask to please allow Naru back in this fine academic institution."
Shimata was surprised and then he sighed.
"I see, so this is what is about," Shimata said, "Hina, I'm sorry but I can't do that."
"Rokuro listen," Hina said calmly, "I know that it is unprecedented and it is a lot to ask but I'm just asking you to do this just one time. Naru is quite depressed over what has happened and I'll personally make sure doesn't make that mistake which forced you and the others to expel her so please."
"Hina, I just can't do that," Shimata said, "it would set a bad precedent if I made an exception for her."
"Rokuro please," Hina pleaded, "it's me Hina, the one who helped you out in the past and helped you shaped to the responsible person that you are today."
"Yes and I'm very grateful to you for that," Shimata said, "However I cannot and will not overturn Narusegawa's expulsion. Her actions were disgraceful and hurt the reputation of this university. Students are expected to be mindful of their actions. That's what we tell students every year and unfortunately, Narusegawa was not mindful of her actions. Now granted she didn't know who they were but that doesn't excuse what she did and from what we learned, they were better ways for her to handle the situation and how she responded was not the right action at all."
"Rokuro, I'm begging you," Hina pleaded again, "please Naru is hurt for not being to continue attending this school and she worked extremely hard to get admission. Please, just do it for me, please Rokuro."
Shimata shook his head, "No can do Hina. No matter how you plead and beg, I cannot and will not override the expulsion of Naru Narusegawa. If I do that, it will set a bad precedent and I have a duty for Tokyo University as its president."
"I thought you would be understanding if I spoke to you and yet…" Hina said upset.
"I'm sorry if that's how you feel but you have my answer," Shimata said calmly.
Hina glared at Rokuro Shimata and shook her head at him.
"You ungrateful fool," Hina said with disdain.
"Now Hina, no need for name calling," Shimata replied.
"So even after everything I've done for you, this is how you repay me?" Hina asked upset.
"I can't just do things just for your convenience," Shimata pointed out, "that's all there is to it."
Hina was visibly upset with President Shimata and was shaking with anger.
Osaka
Mitsune was staying in an apartment that was belonged to her brother Mitsunari and was preparing herself to speak to her mother. Mitsunari came out of her room with a bag in hand.
"Well Mitsune, are you ready to see Mom?" Mitsunari asked.
"Yeah, I'm ready," Mitsune said.
"It's really something that you're taking the first step."
"Well, I know I was such a pain in the past and I want to do what I can to make up for it," Mitsune then had a sad expression, "even if Mom doesn't believe me or doesn't forgive me."
"Don't be so sure about that," Mitsunari assured, "I'm sure Mom will be happy if you're really sincere."
"I guess…"
"Come on, let's go see Mom."
"Okay, thanks Mitsunari," Mitsune said with a smile.
Mitsunari smiled back, "Sure, no problem Mitsune."
A sidewalk a few miles away from Tokyo University
Keitaro was stretching his arms as he was walking.
"Well, that's it for me for today," Keitaro said and then he smiled, "I'm right on track. I'm right on track on everything for the first time in a long time."
"That must be so nice of you," A voice said sarcastically.
Keitaro stopped and frowned as he recognized the voice.
"What do you want Naru?" Keitaro asked.
Keitaro turned around and there was Naru with a bitter expression.
"It's amazing," Naru said giving a hatred glare towards Keitaro, "it's amazing that you walk and be happy when you ruined my life."
Keitaro scoffed, "Are you serious? Naru, I didn't ruin your life, you did that to yourself."
"How dare you!" Naru said angrily.
"You're just looking for someone to blame because it's just so easy for you," Keitaro sighed, "I don't want waste my time on this so I'll be going on."
Naru suddenly grabbed Keitaro's arm and Keitaro was annoyed.
"Naru, let me go," Keitaro said.
"No," Naru responded.
"Naru, let me go…now."
"No, I won't let you go."
Keitaro chuckled a bit, "Naru, I don't know what you're trying to do here but whatever it is it's not going to work," Keitaro looked at Naru with cold eyes, "now either let me go willingly or I'll force you to let me go."
"Hah, your threat is not going to work for you," Naru said with grin, "not this time."
"Keitaro please, don't you see that you're not you're old self," Another voice said.
Keitaro sighed as he was getting irritated as he recognized the other voice.
"Mutsumi," Keitaro said.
Keitaro turned and there was Mutsumi who went over and placed her hand on Keitaro's shoulder.
"You're hurting, I know you are," Mutsumi said.
"Okay seriously, this draws the line to harassment," Keitaro said upset.
"No, this is us waking you up," Mutsumi said.
"A-Are you serious?" Keitaro responded and shaking his head, "Okay, I've had enough of this. Let me go. I'm leaving."
"Oh you're not leaving, not for yourself anyway," A third voice said.
Keitaro was shocked and he turned to see Chisato who quickly used a stun gun on Keitaro and Keitaro was feeling the shock. Keitaro was about to pass out as Naru and Mutsumi let him go and move away from him.
"Damn it," Keitaro said as he was losing consciousness, "how could I…be so…careless and letting my…guard down? H-How stupid of me…"
Keitaro fell on the ground knocked out. Mutsumi looked on concern while Naru looked at her unconscious ex-boyfriend with contempt.
"Are you sure this will be okay?" Mutsumi asked looking at Chisato, "I'm not exactly comfortable in having Keitaro hit with a stun gun."
"It can't be help," Chisato said, "it's not like he would listen to reason and besides, this is nothing compared to what Keitaro has be hit with before in the past as you and Naru have explained."
"That's right," Naru said, "it's fine."
A limousine was approaching and then it stopped. The back door opened and out came Kagura as she looked around.
"Okay, so we got him," Kagura said.
"Okay, let's go ahead and pick him up," Chisato said.
The four girls picked up the unconscious Keitaro and dragged him in the limousine. Kagura complained that Keitaro was heavy and Mutsumi commented that Keitaro wasn't so heavy last time and then she figured that Keitaro must have been working out. Naru scoffed and spoke with contempt about Keitaro living at the Shichimura Apartment Complex. They got Keitaro in the limo and all four of them got in the limo themselves. The doors closed and they limo was driven off. Unbeknownst to the four girls, someone had witness what just the four girls getting in the limo and saw Keitaro was unconscious and the one who witnessed it was Ohana.
"What in the world?" Ohana said in shocked.
Ohana had a bad feeling and she rushed to go somewhere.
That's it for this chapter. Next chapter: Four girls set their plans in motion while others gather to help people out.
