"Hi. I bought some food for Aira."
"You don't have to spend your money Violet."
"I should be spending a lot of money on Aira. I can't get knocked up and expect you to spend your money on my baby. She's not your responsibility mom."
Olivia smiled, "What did you buy?"
"Snacks and Thanksgiving in a jar...this stuff has turkey and rice..."
"She can't eat these snacks yet, and she's not ready for meats. Vegetables, then fruits and meats a few months later."
"What's she eating today?"
"Carrots."
"And what else?"
"Nothing. She eats one food a week."
"Why?"
"To make sure she doesn't have any food allergies."
"That makes sense. How about bananas next week?"
"Green beans next week. She won't eat vegetables if she taste fruits."
"You're good at this stuff mom."
"What will make you happy Violet?"
"You really want to know?"
"Yes, I want to see you smile again."
"I want cool travel pics for my Instagram. I want to have lunch at a cafe in Paris. I want to celebrate New Year's Eve on a pink sand beach in Bermuda. I want to go scuba diving in the Galapagos. I want an amazing spring break with my new grad school friends."
Olivia hadn't seen Violet this excited since her wedding day.
"I want to fall asleep under the stars. I missed out on so much stuff when I got married. My wedding pics got a lot of likes on Instagram, but our marriage was kinda boring. Adam wanted me to have Aira so we could keep our Instagram friends jealous. I didn't want a baby...I still don't."
"You don't have to take Aira."
"I'll be avoiding my responsibility if I don't take her back. You shouldn't have to be stuck with Aira. It was stupid to have a baby for instagram likes."
Olivia smiled and reached in her purse. "How much do you need?"
"For what?"
"Your vacations."
"You're going to give me money?!"
"Yes. You need a few great vacations."
"Wow...thanks. You're amazing mom."
"I should be thanking you."
"For what?"
Olivia didn't answer. She smiled and wrote a check for $20,000. Fitz was probably going to lose his shit when he saw the money come out of their account.
