"Can we talk?"

"No."

"What do you hope to gain from this? Do you really think Aira isn't going to want to be with Violet one day?"

"I'm not taking her from Violet. She can always visit."

"That's not the same. She deserves to be a family with her mom."

"She doesn't want her. The whole pregnancy was for Instagram likes."

"What?"

"Violet and Adam wanted more likes on Instagram, so they decided to have a baby."

It was hard for Fitz to hold back a laugh. That was the dumbest thing he ever heard.

"There has to be another reason they had Aira."

"She wants to travel."

"That's understandable. She's having an identity crisis. She's lost without Adam."

"I can't understand. I was a single mom after our divorce until I married Jake."

"Is that what you called yourself?"

"I was single."

"I had Violet more than you before she started school. You were too busy trying to save your career to be a mom. You and Violet aren't so different."

"That's not comparable. I was trying to make money not spend it traveling."

"The only difference is Violet can't leave Aira with Adam. She left her with you."

"I never left Violet. I just wasn't there every day. I had a good reason."

"Olivia, you have a choice to make. You can fight and most likely win permanent custody of Aira, but you will break Violet's heart when she wants her baby back. Or we can keep temporary guardianship until Violet is ready to be a mom."

"I'm not ready to make that decison."

"You don't have to make it today, but you will soon."

Fitz didn't have anything else to say. Olivia was his wife, and he would support whatever decison she made, but he would also make sure Aira knew Violet was her mom and not Olivia.
