Hey guys, sorry for the LONG wait! I have been very busy but I'm gonna try to get to posting again :) Enjoy!
"Just one problem...how do we get there?" Kimi Ishida asked with a slanted smile.
Ryo leaned over looking at all the computers. "They had to of went through one of these computers. We just have to figure out with one, and how."
"Are you any good with computers, Takato?" Emiko's hand brushed the boy's, making his cheeks turn pink.
Kimi giggled. "I sure hope so, if he's anything like this father." She then bit her bottom lip, hoping the joke came of as playful and not rude.
Takato smiled at the red head and nodded. "I've learned a few things over the years. My obsession with the Digital World was a big help." He laughed, making everyone smile.
The goggle-head then took a seat in his father's computer chair, and began clicking and typing away.
"That looks confusing." Raiden scratched the top of his head.
Ryo chuckled then patted the youngest member on the head. "Don't worry, bud. I'm confused by computers too." Raiden smiled up at the oldest boy.
Takato soon looked as if he was in a trance, typing away at the computers, his eyes barely blinking. When finally, one of the computer screens went black then rushing all over it was a repeating number.
001001001001001001001001001001001...
Kimi's eyes squinted. "What is that? Some sort of code?"
"That's it." Takato stated flatly, almost non-human. Everyone looked at him a little concerned. Sweat droplets started to form on his temples and dribble down his face and neck. He could hear that awful sound again, and his teeth grind together as he tried to fight the urge to scream. He didn't want to scare his friends, he didn't want to change.
He jumped when Emiko touched his shoulder, who gave him a small smile. He forced a smile at her then cleared his throat. "This is how we get there."
"How do you know?" Kimi questioned.
Ryo noticed the sweat dripping off of the younger boy's brow as Takato took a deep breath then answered, "I just know."
"Okay," Ryo answered quickly, telling Takato didn't need the extra conflict right now. "Great job, bud. So how do we..get through?"
Raiden, who was sitting on Ryo's lap, noticed a light coming from his pocket. He pulled out his digivice to look at the glowing screen.
"What's that?" Kimi noticed the little boy looking at his bright digivice.
"It's my digivi-AHH!" Raiden screamed when he was suddenly sucked through the computer screen that contained the repeating numbers.
"RAIDEN!" Everyone yelled in unison.
"What the hell just happened?!" Kimi felt herself begin to panic.
Ryo jumped to his feet. "I think we know how to get through now." Ryo pulled out his digivice that also was glowing. He pointed it at the screen then was too sucked through.
Takato stood up, with the help of the desk. "You guys ready?" His voice still held the edge of roughness, that his normal gentle voice did not have. The girls nodded, then all at once they took out their digivices and pointed them at the computer.
Raiden tumbled onto grass. "Ow." He mumbled as he shook his head, getting to his feet.
The young blond looked around and his bright blue eyes grew wide.
"What...happened..?"
The Digital World no longer looked the way it did when they first arrived. More than half of the trees were gone, leaving only stumps or badly burnt trees. The sky was a red color mixed with black clouds, looking a lot like the sky Raiden had seen before. On the ground he noticed a light dusting of something. Snow maybe. But he ran his hands through it and it was warm to the touch. Ashes.
Raiden cupped his hands around his mouth then yelled, "Dorumon! Dorumon!"
Raiden jumped when Ryo fell beside him from the sky. He went to his side. "Ryo, are you alright?"
Ryo nodded as he let out a cough. "Yeah, champ."
Shortly following Ryo was Takato, Kimi and Emiko. Both girls landing on their bottoms, but Takato landing gracefully on his feet. Ryo and Raiden took notice.
"What happened here?" Takato looked around, his mouth half open in disbelief.
Kimi helped Emiko stand, the blue haired girl soon frowning as she looked around herself. "Do you think Kudamon is okay?" She held her digivice close to her chest.
Kimi felt a tug at her heart as she thought of Biymon. She had been so mean to her, she hoped she was safe. She needed to apologize and get her forgiveness.
"Kudamon!" Emiko yelled out, in hopes of a response.
"Dorumon!" Raiden joined in.
Ryo looked down at his digivice, hoping it would show him where his partner was, but the compass was going whack-o. He groaned at it in frustration. Kimi scanned the area, her thoughts desperately saying, 'Come on Biyomon. Where are you?'
Takato pulled his goggles down from his head to hang around his neck. His light brown eyes rimmed with tears ready to fall. His stomach was twisted into a giant knot. "Mom...I hope you're okay.."
Ryo glanced at the boy, being the only one who heard him over the yelling, and frowned. He opened his mouth to reassure him but a shout from Raiden cut him off.
"DORUMON!" Raiden jumped up and down happily, as the small purple and white furry dinosaur came over a hill.
"Raiden!" He seemed to bark just as happy. Dorumon then looked back at someone and said, "Guys, we found them! They came back!" Suddenly, Kudamon, Biymon and Cyberdramon came over the hill.
"Kudamon!" Emiko squeaked.
"Emi!" Kudamon jumped up into the air doing a somersault, then started running down the hill towards her partner. The others following suit, besides Cyberdramon who flew over to his grinning tamer.
Kimi sprinted towards the pink bird, who stopped in her tracks. A little frightened as what her partner might do to her. But she stood there in shock as Kimi threw her arms around her tightly and started to cry.
"I'm so sorry Biyomon. I am so happy you are okay!" The red-head sobbed surprising everyone.
Biyomon's eyes filled with tears as she hugged her partner back. "I forgive you, Kimi. I love you."
Kimi smiled, tears still falling. "I love you too, Biyomon."
Everyone else hugged their partners , greeting them excitedly. Everyone seemed to forget Takato existed, until...
"Now all we need is Dobermon!" Emiko's smile faded as she realized what she had just said. Everyone glanced at her then at Takato.
A tear had finally escaped his left eye and drizzled down his cheek. He wiped it away then snapped his head back. He turned around looking off into the distance.
"What is it?" Ryo asked, walking up beside their leader.
"Someone is coming." Takato replied, and when Ryo looked at him, he noticed the boy's eyes had turned red.
Looks like we have another computer wiz on our hands, Izzy would be proud! But, idk how proud he'd be to see his son back in the Digital World after he told him to stay behind. The gang is happy to have their partners back...but what's happened to the DigiWorld?! I sure hope whoever is coming is a friend and not a foe, but you'll have to come back to find out in another chapter of,
Digimon: Digital Aftermath!
