Wait, what? She blinked in shock. What in the world...?

"Tucker.. You saw that too right?"

"Something stole him! I bet you anything!"

Suddenly Vlad was there

"Hello children. Have you seen dear Danny? If not, I will be forced to vent my frustrations on you!"

"He's not here. Not anymore."

"Very well, you it is!"

the evil manghost threw ectoplasm attacks at the two, Tucker yelped and grabbed Sam and ran

"Looks like we're gonna be seeing Danny again real soon!"

"Hopefully not by him!"

They got trapped ijn an alleyway

"Oh crapbaskets...Well Sam, I gotta say, that the most thing I'm gonna mioss besides our friendship, is the fact I never got to date a cheerleader."

"Say goodbye!"

Sam shook her head. At a time like this? Really Tucker? She glanced up at the ghost, before looking around for a way for them to escape. There had o be away.. There just had to.

Suddenly, familliar green ecto energy ripped the sky in half.

"Leave them alone Vlad!"

She looked up at this.

"D..D...D...DANNY!" Tucker shook "Tell me I'm not crazy, Sam! Tell me that that really is him!"

There was no mistaking it. The white hair, black suit, green eyes, youthful apearance, and most telling of all...

the white DP emblazoned on his chest.

It was Danny Phantom.

"It is him Tucker! Danny's back!"

"We...we saw him die!"

"I know.."

That was what bothered her. If he died, then how was he here right now? It didn't make any sense..

After taking care of Vlad with a Ghostly Wail, the spectre floated down and grinned at his friends.

Tucker trembled "Danny...we...we've always been your best friends, right? so...so you can't haunt us!"

Danny laughed "Haunt you? Why would I do that? sheesh Tuck, you and Sam look like you've seen a scarier ghost than the Lunch Lady!"

"We saw you die though.. So, how are you here?"

Danny smiled at her kindly

"I DID die. Painfully might I add. But while I was dying, I felt like part of me was...melting. It wasn't until I woke up in the Ghost Zone that I realized..."

he paused to take a breath.

"My human half was the part of me that died. I'm...no longer the Halfa. Danny Fenton is dead. I'm now just...Danny Phantom."

Sam blinked as she listened to what Danny told them. So only the human half of him had died? Never thought of it like that.

"Um do I really have to remind you what happened the LAST time you were full ghost?" Tucker pointed out.

"What? Oh THAT me...um don't think there's anything to worry about."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. THAT me was contaminated by Vlad's ghost half, and also, the seperation was not natural. I died naturally, and seperated naturally, and Vlad's ghost half is in the thermos."

Sam nodded at this. At least they didn't have to worry about that again.

"Sam...you look baffled. Something wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong."

He hung his head

"As much as I enjoy being ful ghost...I sure am going to miss just being me. I have my own lair in the Ghost Zone now, so I may or may not still 'haunt' my room."

"That's right.. We're going to have to tell your parents.."

"Oh no...my folks! What are we gonna say?!"

"We'll figure something out."

"They'll hate themselves! Dad might even try going ghost himself just to avenge me! THIS IS TERRIBLE!"

Sam went and gave him a hug, or at least tried to...

"It'll be okay Danny. Just calm down, alright?"

he smiled wide and hugged her back

"Worse guys...there is no body. Your remains can't be buried..." Tucker remarked

"Way to be a downer Tucker," Sam told him.

"It's true!"

"They will bury an empty casket." Danny said softly

Sam's eyes went wide as the three began the treck to the convention where Danny's parents were.

"That's terribly morbid Danny...Fine for me..wierd coming from you." She said, slightly concerned. Those green eyes were hiding something...

And she was going to find out what.
