Chapter 5
Daniel Jackson knocked on Teal'c's door, hoping his solemn friend was not in the middle of his Kel'noreem. Soon, the Jaffa opened the blue door with a friendly smile on his face. The scent of vanilla candles exited the room. "How may I be of service DanielJackson?", Teal'c asked. Daniel grimaced. "I need your help Teal'c," he began, "it's about Jack and Sam..". Teal'c visibly straightened. "Is everything alright?" he asked. "Yes, yes, there's nothing wrong", Daniel reassured him quickly. He sighed. "It's rather personal", Daniel hinted. Teal'c nodded and swiftly opened his door wider, signalling the archaeologist to enter his room. Daniel smiled and entered.
Daniel Jackson cleared his throat nervously. Even though he considered Teal'c to be a close friend, he wasn't sure how he would react to his ideas. Teal'c sat still, patiently waiting, his hands folded in his lap. Finally, when Daniel had remained quiet for over a minute, Teal'c spoke up: "What is on your mind DanielJackson?" he asked. Daniel looked up. 'It's now or never, Danny-boy', he thought and cleared his throat.
"Ok, it's this idea I've had, ever since our mission to Eroga...", he started slowly. Teal'c nodded and said "I did not accompany you on this mission". Daniel grimaced again. "I know", he replied, "but you do know about the potions we took home? And their possible effects?" he asked. "I am aware of Dr. Fraiser's research", Teal'c spoke plainly, "and the debriefing which will inform us of the effects of these potions". "Yes, well, I know that Janet still has to confirm the effects, but if these potions do what we were told..." Daniel hesitated. This was of course the hard part. Teal'c raised one eyebrow as only the Jaffa could, and Daniel knew this was a sign for him to continue. He sighed and decided to push through. "We both know that there is something...something more than friendship between Jack and Sam", he said cautiously. Daniel waited for confirmation, but none came. "I mean," he tried again, "during our time together we have noticed on occasion that they have... feelings... for one another", he said. "But they would never act on it", he added quickly, "Jack won't even admit it".
Teal'c nodded. "As I understand, the Tau'ri military would not allow such a union to happen", he stated. Daniel nodded. "Yes, exactly, but I think that an exception would be made for them, I mean we did save the world several times already...". "What is it exactly that you are thinking, DanielJackson?" Teal'c asked. Daniel smiled. 'This might actually work', he thought.

Samantha Carter sat at the briefing table, joined by the rest of her team, Janet and General Hammond. They had been called to the briefing room because Janet had the results on all the potions and medicines they had brought back from Eroga. Sam was curious to say the least. She looked around the table and noticed the faces of her teammates. Teal'c looked stoic as ever, listening attentively to whoever was speaking. Janet was attentive too, her hands folded over her folder which contained all the information. General Hammond looked serious, but calm and in control. Daniel, who was currently going over the events and their talk with the people of Eroga, was talking energetically. He must have snuck to the cafeteria for some coffee before the briefing, Sam thought. Finally, her eyes rested on Jack. Her commanding officer looked rather tense, she thought. Then again, he usually does. When his eyes moved up from the table to focus on hers instead, she jumped and immediately turned her eyes on Daniel. She saw Jack smirking from the corner of her eye and blushed. Trying to get her mind of the image of Jack's lips turned into a smirk, she turned her attention to Janet, who was explaining her findings.

SG1 stood in front of the Stargate. The medicines they had brought back were beyond incredible, and Janet was very optimistic about turning them into medication. The effect seemed somewhat less intense on human subjects, but due to the dangerous nature of some of the potions, this was considered to be a good thing. As such, SG1 was sent back to Eroga to start official negotiations. They were only to obtain potions that had a beneficial effect, and Daniel was glad this hadn't turned into a military conquest. Hopefully, the Erogans would agree to set up a bimonthly network, as such gradually providing Earth with the medicines they needed. And they would gain another ally, which was always useful. So once again, Sam donned the role of Jack's wife, as they stepped through the event horizon.

Upon arriving, they were led to the same large tent where they first met Heram and Nolum. The four leaders were already seated, and welcomed them into the room. "Welcome", Heram spoke, "we are again glad to offer you hospitality, and hope the results of your tests were satisfactory". Jack smiled and answered, "They were very satisfactory actually, all of your potions seemed to work on human subjects". Nolus smiled, "that pleases us", he said. "Tell us, have you discussed which potions you will need for your planet?", he asked. Jack nodded and looked expectantly to Daniel, who was supposed to do the explanations, as he was undoubtedly the most diplomatic person on the team. "Yes, we have", Daniel spoke.
After a short negotiation, which was rather like a conversation, as the leaders of Eroga were very agreeable and hardly asked for anything themselves, it was decided that there would be an alliance between Eroga and Earth. Although SG1 was not allowed to extract the potions themselves, they were allowed limited access to the supplies. Heram and Nollus only allowed small portions, spread over a period of time, and only the potions with positive effects were allowed to leave Eroga. Satisfied with the results, Deran decided that there should be another feast, to officially celebrate their new friendship. 'Didn't we do that already?' Sam asked herself, but she knew they really could not risk offending their new allies. Still, she hoped that this feast would be a little different, and would not include a certain dress...
A feeling of deja-vu crept on Jack when they were once again led to the tent, decorated with red veils and separated in two compartments. "This is indeed nice," Teal'c commented. "Told ya", Daniel answered energetically. The two moved off, as Daniel babbled more about the tent and the culture, and showed Teal'c around. Sam noticed that although Daniel's part of the tent had become a little bigger, probably to compensate for Teal'c's presence, the little corner meant for the married couple still looked as inviting, and dangerous, as ever. They had some time before the feast, so Sam and Jack went to the gate to inform General Hammond of the positive news, while Daniel and Teal'c walked around the villages.

"So," Daniel said, they have a potion here that acts like alcohol, you know, it makes you less inhibited, and can even force the truth out of someone...". Teal'c nodded, I believe we were not allowed access to this potion DanielJackson. "I know, I know," Daniel said, gesturing his hands energetically, "we are not allowed to take it with us, but we do have access to it, on the planet..." Teal'c raised his eyebrow, in a silent gesture for Daniel to explain further. "You remember what we talked about, right, about Sam and Jack?" he asked. "Indeed," Teal'c confirmed. Daniel nodded, "Well..."
