Q had taken off to try and get the heavy sentence for Amelia and Emily lifted, getting Emily back would not be easy nor would be getting back Amelia's powers. Still Q was going to try even if Janeway wasn't too bothered by Amelia not having her powers. She did admire the fact he was going after their other daughter however. Of course now this left Janeway alone with Amelia. It had been three days since Q had gone off to negotiate and left her feeling a little like a single parent. She never realized how much Q really did until he wasn't around. Luckily things were starting to look up for their daughter. She was out of sickbay and the ships was in good shape after the last maintenance. Sitting on the floor of her ready room she smiled as Amelia crawled across the ground towards her mother but stopped short to sit up and look around. She was happy to see her daughter doing so much better even if Amelia still felt off. She was acting unusual, constantly looking around for something or someone. Sucking on her fist Amelia started to go off on her baby chatter. "Are you missing Emily too?" Janeway asked the little girl as her big green eyes looked back to her with a whimper. "I'll take that as a yes."

Crawling back towards Janeway Amelia crawled into her mother's lap and took hold of her hand studying it and looking it over. Her attention moving towards the ring on Janeway's finger. "Ah, I see, I miss him too. I'm sure he will come back soon. Let's hope they both do." Amelia leaned over Janeway's arm and tried to stand up using her mother as a balance. Her baby blabbering continued as she tested out her legs. It was funny, now that Amy didn't have her powers Janeway felt a little more nervous about things Amelia was doing. Before she could let the baby have some freedom knowing if trouble came their way the little girl could protect herself. Now she was just as helpless as any other baby. Resting a hand on Amelia's back Janeway kept her daughter from falling backwards and smiled again as she stood up in her lap with a little help. Amelia was just as tenacious as she was, even with her mother's help she wanted to do everything on her own.

"Mmmmm." Amelia mumbled. Janeway couldn't tell if she was trying to actually say something like mama or just going off onto more baby gibberish. Hearing the beep of someone approaching the ready room door Janeway set her daughter down and stood up brushing herself off before trying to make herself appear more put together.

"Come in." The door slid open, Chakotay walking inside with his hands rested at his side. His eye's first fell to Janeway and then to Amelia on the ground where she started crawling over to Janeway again.

"Captain, I wanted to let you know we are approaching the M class moon Nelix told us about." Janeway remembered the mission briefing. They were to head to the moons surface to add to their food supply. "Seem's she's looking forward to volunteering for an away mission." Amelia got close enough to Janeway to grab hold of her pant leg and start tugging away. The captain bent down to pick up the baby girl and bounced her a little in her arms.

"Not just yet, she's still got a lot of time left on this ship before she's ready for an away mission. Maybe the next one Amelia." Janeway joked knowing her daughter would have many years ahead of her before she could go on away missions. Not counting the ones Q had taken her on without her permission. "I'll have to get someone to look after Amelia. I've been wanting to get down there myself and see what else we can get off the moon's surface." In a flash of light Janeway thought she could finally hand Amelia back to Q, she wasn't wrong in that assumption it just happened to not be her Q that showed up. Instead the friend of Q that she refereed to as Qpid. "Q? What are you doing on my ship?" Janeway seemed a little annoyed at the sight of him. Last time he had shown up on her ship he had swapped bodies between her and Q.

"Q sent me to look after Amelia while he's away. It's taking longer than he anticipated and he's worried about his little progeny considering she's all...mortal." He looked over Amelia with a hint of pity. Poor thing, use to be all powerful and now was all, bland. Janeway's first instinct was to not let this Q look after Amelia because it was a good instinct.

"I don't care if Q sent you, get off my ship." She spoke up in her stern tone and looked down at Amelia as she made a fake growling sound as if trying to mimic her mother's attitude.

"Don't go growling at me there pup." Q warned Amelia. The little baby was about to growl at him again before Q snapped his fingers and turned Amelia into a little white puppy with black spots covering her body. The childish growl turned into a small whimper before Amelia realized what was happening. Of course it hadn't taken Janeway too long to notice her daughter transform into a silky coat little Dalmatian pup. Amelia let out a few more barks and a little growl as she squirmed in Janeway's hands.

"What have you done to her?" It was more of an order to answer her than a typical question. Chakotay came up to his captain's side quickly and rested a hand on her shoulder knowing this could become volatile very quickly. There was a set of things one didn't mess with in order to avoid Janeway's wrath. Those things were Voyager, her crew, and her daughters. This Q had just pulled the trigger one one of those things.

"I'm keeping her best interests in mind. She was being rude, now maybe she will learn a little bit about manners. So much like her father, it's a bit disturbing."

"Turn her back." Janeway ordered. Amelia squirmed in her arms again, her paws nearly smacking the captain in the face.

"Why? I like her better like this." The Q taunted the Captain back. Chakotay had moved to grab Janeway's arm and hold her back. This was about to be a bloodbath.

"Change her back right now." Her voice got darker, more sinister. Q was about to respond but the sound of Janeway's own voice made Amelia startle and wiggle her way out of the captain's grip. Amelia did a quick roll on the ground before she sprang back up and started to run for the door. Since it was still closed she had no fear that Amelia could get out of the ready room. Chakotay jumped down trying to grab the puppy when the door opened the little spotted dog ran through onto the bridge. Paris turned to watch the pup run to the door to the bridge, it opening when Tuvok walked through and the puppy darted to freedom. Janeway and Chakotay followed after it seeing just the end of the tail as she ran off.

"New dog Captain?"

"Someone stop that puppy." Chakotay ordered but it was given too late as Amelia slipped past Tuvok with great speed.

The other Q appeared on the bridge in a flash of light, arms crossed over his chest as he sat legs crossed on one of the railings. "Seem's like she's having a fun time. I don't think she wants to be turned back. I like her better as a dog." Paris got a look on his face like he just realized what was going on and it wasn't good.

Amelia ran down the hall, her paws thumping clumsily against the floor. She didn't know where she was going or how she would get there since she wasn't use to walking the halls without someone carrying her. Now she had freedom, amazing and very real freedom. Capable of going wherever she liked all on her own. Pulling her ears back a little Amelia could hear footsteps coming her way, the turbo lift doors opened wide to the side making the pup whimper. Her nose flaring as she sniffed something on the ship. There was something on another deck, something that wafted through the ventilation system and made her nose drip and mouth salivate. Running for the turbo lift Amelia sat down, tail wagging happily as she cocked her head to the side and barked at the control panels. They didn't respond to barking it seemed. Going into a play bow she started to bark louder before something else came to mind.

The pup focused on the control panel a moment before the lift seemed to accept a destination and moved down along the decks until it hit deck five. With a group of eager ensigns looking to board the doors swung open and the small puppy dashed out between their legs. Almost skipping down the hall with her tail wagging frantically Amelia let her tongue lull to the side and looked around the halls.

"Computer, try locating Amelia Janeway." The Captain gave the order to the ship.

"Amelia Janeway is not on board the ship."

Paris chimed in then. "Computer, try finding a Dalmatian puppy."

"There is a Dalmatian on deck five." The computer's voice chimed over the intercom system.

"Let's get moving." Chakotay got on board the turbo lift. "How hard can it be to catch a puppy?"

"Let the others know to keep an eye out for her, I don't want her wandering into trouble. Last thing I want is Amelia as a puppy getting into someplace like engineering."
