Freak Holding Facility #013
"Insanity, USA"
Spending time in the Freak Holding Facilities was considered both droll and exciting at the same time. However, aside from the name, the Holding Facilities were not prisons like most would believe. The Facilities themselves were actually large city-like areas, where Freaks were free to roam and cause as much mayhem as they could, while under restriction of never being able to leave. Freaks had all the comforts of the world they desired, even random clones of the mercenaries should the Freaks decide to practice their natural talents. Several hired militia groups sat perched on tall walls around these Facilities, making sure to prevent any Freaks from breaking loose, much like the one containment breach that the Administrator said 'never happened'.
The largest record Holding Facility, codenamed Insanity, USA, housed more than 150 types of Freaks. While most Freaks would be busy enjoying their day, a large crowd of them was gathered at the Transporter Station, awaiting the return of Christian Brutal Sniper and Stu Pidface. Although Freak Fights had been common in the Facilities, it was never heard of a Freak breaking the rules and engaging a fight in one of the RED vs. BLU missions. The cluster of strange people, some red, blue, green, even grey, dotted the crowd, waiting for the doors to the large silo transporter to fly open.
"Who do you think won?" Questioned Painis Cupcake, one of those among the front of the impatient mob.
"Easily Christian Brutal," Said Gentlespy, a RED Spy Freak wearing a fedora. "He's a ruthless, cold-blooded killer. He could handle monsieur Pidface easily."
"Is not possible!" Objected Intelligent Heavy, a RED Heavy Freak wearing a cooking pot on his head. "Sniper may be killer, but Stu does not follow normal rules! He won, I know it."
"I could handle 'em both, no sweat!" Gloated Captain Demoman, an obnoxious Demopirate Freak. His minions, Gravy Guitarman and Robo-Engie, both backed him up with applause.
"You tell 'em, partner." Robo-Engie, the cyborg Engineer, buzzed.
"Yeah, we could take 'em down." Added Gravy Guitarman, the guitar-toting Sniper.
"Shut up, Demoman!" Private Funnyman, the Dapper Tapper wearing RED Soldier, shouted. "You dishonor the Freak Code with your idiotic prattle." Funnyman leapt back and crouched to the ground. "DISHONOR ATTACK!" Nobody saw what Funnyman did, but everyone say Captain Demoman fly off into a nearby building.
"Vill you dumpkofs knock it off?!" Medizard, the Icy Medic Wizard, groaned. "Stu and Christian Brutal are returning." The crowd looked on with anticipation as the sound of humming echoed from the metal doors. The crowd leaned in closer once the sounds began to quell, anxiously awaiting for who won or lost the fight. The doors slid open, and in a flash of green light, Stu Pidface stumbled out of the door and collapsed on the ground. Half the ground cheered Christian Brutal's name, while others looked at Stu with a mixture of pity and anger. Before people started throwing things, another green light appeared, and Christian Brutal Sniper stood kneeling on the ground, breathing heavily. Many of the Freaks were confused at this sight. If they both died, then was it a tie?
"What are you tryin' to pull here?!" Ass Pancakes shouted amongst the crowd. "Who won?"
"I did, mates." Christian Brutal said.
"But you came by the Transporter," Gentlespy pointed out. "And the only way you could use it is if you died in battle."
"Don't tell us one of those weak mercenaries offed you." Painis chuckled. "To think that the great and mighty Christian Brutal Sniper was killed by one of those meals!" The Freaks burst into laughter, but were silenced by the sound of a thunder bolt striking the ground. The land itself looked like it had changed to a nightmarish design, accompanied by a red hue. The crowd parted way to see if he came to watch. A large group of Medic Freaks, all wearing Beak masks, stood behind their intimidating leader, a larger Medic Freak wearing a demonic metal helmet and a malicious looking doctor's suit. Nightmare Medic and his Disciples had come to grace the Freaks with his presence.
"So, Christian Brutal Sniper has fought a Freak on the outside world and won." Nightmare Medic growled, his voice sounding distorted and demonic. "But, he has come alongside his victim from the Transporter." He walked towards where Stu and Christian stood, the proper shaking with fear and the latter staring an unbroken gaze. "The question is," Nightmare loomed in on Christian Brutal, the hellish energy practically melting off him. "Why?" Christian had to think of something as to not anger Nightmare Medic, for doing that would be literally pissing off the devil.
"I did face Stu Pidface in a Freak Fight and win." Christian began. "But instead of chopping him up like I normally do, I decided to burn him. When I set him on fire, I didn't make it out of the building on time and burned up with the rest of the building." Clever lie, but Christian hoped Nightmare bought it. "And that's how I got here, sir." Nightmare continuously looked at Christian through hollow eyes.
"Do you know fear?" Nightmare coldly whispered.
"Yes, but it is fear that makes you stronger." Christian answered, still remaining unfazed.
"How frightened are you, mortal?"
"Terrified." Nightmare stepped back and let off a demonic cackle.
"Good, it lets you know who holds the cards." Nightmare then rejoined his group of Disciples and stood ever watching the Freaks. "Remember this as the day you saw Nightmare Medic and he was gracious enough to let you live." On that, he and his Disciples burst into a spurt of fire, and vanished into the demonic hell-hole that spawned them. With that, the crowd of Freaks returned to their daily activities, save for Christian Brutal, Stu Pidface, Gentlespy, Intelligent Heavy, and Soljah, a bizarre BLU Soldier Freak.
"What the hell was that demon doing here?" Gentlespy spat. Of all the Freaks most respected, many despised and even feared Nightmare Medic. "He should still be in the Pentagram with the other Satanic Freaks."
"At least we are still alive." Intelligent Heavy sighed. "Soljah, help me with Stu."
"YESSEYYESSEYYES!" Soljah garbled. The two hoisted the scared stiff Stu Pidface onto Intelligent Heavy's back and carted him off to a nearby building while Soljah imitated an ambulance the entire way.
"So what exactly happened out there?" Gentlespy quipped. "Because I know you were lying to Nightmare."
"Like I said, we fought and I won," Christian said. "But… I did burn him and myself, but he said something to me before he died."
"Something like 'Oh, that slaps me on the butt', I'd wager?" Gentlespy chuckled.
"No. He said 'Do not let rules decide you, make your own." Christian said. The two stood quietly, both unsure of what to say next. Finally, Gentlespy decided the silence was boring him.
"Enough of this melodrama, my friend." He said while placing an arm around Christian Brutal's shoulder. "I say we go to the hunting grounds and you go carve up some Spycrabs? Cutting things always cheers you up." Christian looked at his best friend and smiled, returning the comfort with a slug to the shoulder.
"That's more like it mate." Christian lifted his hands to show eight Kunai being held between each of his fingers. "Let's have a go!" Christian gleefully darted down the path, cackling like he normally did. Gentlespy smiled as his partner in crime returned to his normal demeanor, if being normal is possible by Freaks. However, that thing he said Stu said bothered him, unsure if it was possible for a reality bending Freak like him to make sense every once in a while. He discarded the thought and engaged his cloaking device to follow his friend before he decided to carve something else.
Mann Co. Freak Observatory
The Eye in the Sky
Despite the large walls surrounding the Facilities, the Administrator commissioned a large security observatory to keep vigilance on all of the Facilities instead of one at a time. Hidden by advanced cloaking technology, a large metallic spire rose like a needle out of the ground with a single rounded point above. The Eye in the Sky was considered a crowning achievement by Saxton Hale, watching over all of the Freak Storage Facilities from miles on end via a series of security cameras, run by executive men. Inside the spire was a large circular room, completely walled with security screens labeled to each of the different zones, and a quartet hard-working men stationed at computers, vigilantly observing.
"The Factory has no oddities." Said a black haired man in a white overcoat. "How are things on your end, Grease?"
"Nothing going on in the Big Freaky City, Sci-Fi." Grease, the man wearing a leather jacket and sporting a military haircut, replied. "What about you, Dick?" A man in a red suit and fiery hair spun around in his chair and groaned.
"How many times do I have to tell you my name's Richard!" Red suit shouted. "And also I prefer you call me Cinder, as per code names. Things are clear in the Pentagram, however," Cinder turned back to his computer and pointed at the screen of a demonic landscape. "Nightmare Medic and a large number of his Disciples aren't showing up on the scans."
"He's in Insanity, USA." Said a man in a blue t-shirt and jeans. "He was at the Transporter there when Stu and Christian Brutal returned."
"Then how did he escape twenty miles without any detection," Grease asked. "Can you answer me that question, Splash?" Before Splash could reply, the intercom buzzed with a small red light flashing on the top. Specs rolled on his chair and casually turned on the machine.
"Eye in the Sky Security Room, this is Agent Sci-Fi speaking." Sci-Fi greeted.
"Will you four chaps open the door and let your employer in?" Said a loud, booming Australian man through the intercom. The four agents sat in their chairs, not moving and shocked at the sudden appearance of the C.E.O of Mann Co., Saxton Hale, at such a disclosed location.
"Of course, Mr. Hale." Sci-Fi stammered. Many Mann Co. employees feared Saxton Hale for what he could do. However, doing something stupid would probably get a fist full of Australian Justice up your ass. Grease scrambled on the desk to find the door opening switch, Splash quickly cleaned the soda cans and snack bags off his desk, Cinder activated all monitors to every known Facility Camera, and Sci-Fi ran to the door and dusted off his coat. The door slip open, and Sci-Fi gave a quick salute. An incredibly muscular man stepped out of the elevator, he wore a pair of jeans and a trophy hat, yet his chest was missing a shirt, leaving his muscular body and Australia shaped chest hair exposed. His face bore a half-stern smirk as he fiddled with his thick mustache.
"I thought I was going to tear the door down it was so stuffy in there." The C.E.O of Mann Co. loudly chortled.
"Welcome to Eye in the Sky, Saxton Hale, sir." Sci-Fi greeted, still remaining in a salute. He may not be military, but it would be wise to address a man of Mr. Hale's stature with the upmost suspect. "What brings you here today, if you don't mind my asking, sir?" Saxton stretched and flexed his humongous muscles when Splash, Grease, and Cinder joined Sci-Fi at the front.
"You boys remember that call I gave you after the first Containment Breach?" Saxton questioned.
"Was that the one to have more security cameras put in?" Splash asked. Cinder glared angrily at the casual surfer wannabe and smacked him in the back of the head.
"You dolt, that was the Administrator!" Cinder shouted. Splash turned around and punched Cinder in the stomach.
"That's for losing your temper, hotshot." Splash retorted. The two locked eyes and growled at each other, while Grease rolled his eyes, walked behind the quarreling agents, placed his hands behind their heads, and smashed them together.
"Focus when a superior official is here!" Grease barked at the two agents collapsed on the floor. "And was it the call to keep ahold of that one Freak?"
"Yes, it was." Saxton said, while happily patting Grease on the head, although from his perspective Grease was getting pounded like a nail under a hammer. "It's time to call him out, I need a new wrestling opponent until those hybrid bear/great white sharks are delivered to my office." The Mann Co. C.E.O glared at Grease and Sci-Fi, while the two only stood around twiddling their thumbs. "Well, what are you waiting for, an Australium engraved invitation? GO GET HIM!" Grease and Sci-Fi bumbled about, shortly collided with each other, and then returned to their posts. Sci-Fi began working a computer, putting in rapid input sequences connecting to nearby holding cell. On the other end, Grease was holding a long fishing rod with a slab of cow meat tied at the end near the entrance to a cage.
The barred door to the cage rose slowly, giving light into the darkened room within. A low growling voice came from within, almost a mixture of human tones and animalistic demeanor. The sound of sniffing was heard from within, and the growling subsided.
"Does someone bring Heavy food?" Said a deep growl, sounding almost like that of the Heavy Weapons Guy if the pitch of his voice was dropped into the ocean. A large human arm, identical to Heavy's, albeit slightly larger, stuck out of the cage and pawed at the ground. Grease quickly jerked the meat away from the cage when the arm came down.
"Come on, big guy." Grease nervously pleaded, in manner one would address an animal. The arm pulled itself further, dragging the rest of the body outside. An extremely large RED Heavy crawled out of the cave, his face kept in a stern and hungry form, continuously glaring at the food. He opened his mouth to reveal several rows of sharp teeth, and attempted to clamp down on the meat. Grease dragged it away again, leaving the angry Heavy Freak displeased.
"Mr. Saxton Hale," Sci-Fi formally introduced. "With us is the incredibly dangerous Heavydile. Able to swim rapid speeds in open water, has a jaw strength strong enough to shatter diamond, muscle prowess mighty enough to lift a building, and even had the guts to take on Painis Cupcake and win." The Freak in question, now tired of having to play cat-and-mouse with this stubborn meat, leaped into the air and dove at Grease. The greaser agent quickly panicked, dropped the fishing rod, and ran like pansy. Heavydile pounced on the meat and gladly began to chew on it.
"Moist and delicious." Heavydile gleefully growled. Grease and Sci-Fi stood shoulder to shoulder next to Saxton Hale with proud looks on their faces.
"Satisfying results, sir?" The two chirped. Saxton smiled, walked over to where Heavydile was eating, and hoisted the alligator Freak off the ground by the single string used in the fishing rod.
"Good going, lads." Hale loudly laughed. With Heavydile in tow, Saxton stepped back into the elevator and gave the two agents a salute. "I'll have him back in one piece by the end of the month."
"Glad that the Administrator approved of this," Sci-Fi said. "Since this entire project is almost under her control."
"Ha!" Saxton bellowed. "Like that old crow needs to know anything. G'day lads and good work!" With that, the doors slid shut, leaving the two agents standing dumbstruck. Sci-Fi and Grease turned to each other and both simultaneously thought the same thing.
What have we done?!
Freak-Saurus
Nightmare Medic (A.K.A Nightmare)
Nigtmare Medic is a demonic RED Medic Freak, created by Youtuber Xho3546. Nighmare Medic is the incarnation of a powerful demon possessing a RED Medic, hell-bent on a single goal: Bring Hell to the land of the living. His figure is so intimidating, many powerful Freaks either fall before him or become servants. At his beck and call are his army of Disciples, a group of Medic Cultists, and the Men of Mystery, a sect of undead Spies. Whenever present, reality shifts into a twisted nightmare world and creates an unnatural aura. Nightmare is either armed with demonic fire magic or his series of evil weapons, but if any are even seen, death is almost guaranteed. Although incredibly powerful, Nightmare Medic can be killed, if only by other powerful Freaks or Angelic Freaks, and can escape death by abandoning his hostbody and taking over one of his Disciples.
Gentlespy
Gentlespy is a fedora-wearing RED Spy, created by Youtuber Swaitis. Gentlespy is, like the namesake, a well-mannered gentleman, but underneath lies a tremendous murderer. Armed with an Ambassador revolver and a pair of cloaking devices, Gentlespy shows no mercy when executing his prey, but still excuses or apologizes afterwards. His unique behavior had made him friends with Christian Brutal Sniper (gifting him a Conniver's Kunai), and the two had become close allies since. Like Christian Brutal, Gentlespy is only as strong as a regular Spy, and lacks destructive power, making him easy to defeat by other Freaks, using his cloaking devices to escape.
Heavydile
Heavydile is an incredibly powerful RED Heavy Freak, created by Youtuber TrexHunter2000. Behaving much like a ravenous crocodile, Heavydile swims watery areas and takes his prey by surprise. His strength is incredibly powerful, strong enough to even overcome Painis Cupcake, making it easy for him to tear through structures and overcome any foes. He has a jaw strength able to break and pierce most materials, even armor, with his Mega Bite. Having a thick hide and body, Heavydile is able to withstand most attacks and bullets, no matter how big the weapon. Heavydile is somewhat stupid, able to be overtaken by being outwitted and picks fight beyond his caliber. Heavydile has a BLU counterpart known as Heavygator.
