BLU Train On-Route to Upward

The time had come again, yet another mission for the Mann Co. Mercenaries, leading them into the seemingly endless conflict against their duplicates. Given the mission of delivering a bomb-cart to the massive station atop a mountain, BLU Team rested comfortably on a train ride to the Upward base. Everyone was busy doing their own thing, ranging from preparing their weapons to discussing tactics, while others just simply stared out the window. The latter case was for Polite Spy, the overly kind Freak in a hidden state of distraught, regarding the news of Doppelganger's second rampage. He explained the situation to the BLUs, and while they were understanding of the situation, they truly felt that something that caused the Freaks trouble instead of them was a godsend. His contract restricted him from leaving BLU team and helping the Freaks prepare against the Copycat menace, so all he could do was watch the scenery go by as the train moved steadily up a low incline.

"Alright guys, listen up!" Miss Pauling announced, standing up on the train and receiving the attention of the BLUs. "You all know the drill, this isn't the first time you've gone on a Payload run, so this should be simple."

"We know, we know." A bored-looking Sniper said, wiping his kukiri clean. "Push the bomb cart, get it to the drop off point, take down the REDs, run like hell, get paid." A few chuckles escaped the lips of some of the mercenaries, while Miss Pauling rolled her eyes.

"In a nutshell, yes." The assistant said, adjusting her glasses. "However, there've been slight complications at Upward lately."

"Let me guess... A Freak?" Engineer suggested, tightening his goggles.

"Not just one, but three." Miss Pauling clarified, eliciting several groans from the rest of the group. "Well, technically, its two Freaks sharing a single body, and a third entity, but not to worry, they won't be trouble so long as you don't piss them off. Their names are Solgineer, and Pootis Man. Luckily for you guys, Pootis Man's considered a hero Freak, and will probably be trying to keep Solgineer in check." Although the news was somewhat comforting, it did nothing to raise the BLU's mood. Slowly, the train pulled into the BLU Station, the doors opening up and the mercenaries slowly piling out. Polite Spy gave a half-honest smile, and waved to his allies.

"Good luck out there, gentlemen." Polite Spy said. "Make the Builders League United proud." Only Scout returned the gesture with a thumbs up, being the last out of the train. Miss Pauling caught wind of Polite Spy's upset attitude, walking over to him and sitting beside the normally cheerful Freak.

"They're doing their hardest to catch Doppelganger." Miss Pauling condescended. "Don't worry. It'll all be taken care of."

"I hope so, my dear." Polite Spy sadly mused. "I hope so."

The Crazed Countryside

The once pristine and calm Freak Facility now sported charred marks and frozen scores on the formerly grassy fields. Corpses of frozen and/or burnt Clones and Freaks lay strewn across the grounds, a testament to Doppelganger's rampage. Sporting now a total of four powers, the white-suited Freak carved a swath of destruction in his path with a joyous smile on his face. At the moment, the Copycat menace had a halo of various vicious weapons, some either burning with flame or crystalized in ice, slaughtering a group of Clones while attempting to reach a group of very powerful Freaks inside a moderately large house.

"Come out, little bugs!" Doppelganger cheerfully called out. "I just want whatever powers you have, and maybe I won't pluck your wings out!" Inside the house, holed up within a living room were a total of four Freaks. One of the group, a grizzled RED Engineer, sporting a Stetson, cowboy slacks and boots, a straw of wheat in his mouth, and a six-shot revolver resting on a holster, was busy trying to hold another RED Freak, a large, red-eyed, grey-skinned Heavy wearing a bearskin hood and grasping Warrior Spirit Bear Gauntlets. The dynamic duo of the Taming Engineer (Often called T. Engie) and his pet, Rabid Heavy, worked towards barricading the house while the Clones tried (and failed) to hold Doppelganger back.

"That Copycat Snake keeps pushing though." T. Engie muttered, peering through the boarded up window. "Rabid and Ah don't have any real powers, so most we can be is a line of defense to keep y'all safe." The other Freaks in the room, one a BLU Demoman, named Seeman, and the other a large-headed BLU Soldier, Seedler, sat together on a couch, hugging each other anxiously.

"We have to run!" Seeman exclaimed, teeth chattering. "Since I'm an older Freak, I'm stronger than a well-brewed beer! He'll go after me powers!"

"And we can't let that happen, pardners." T. Engie clarified, Rabid Heavy grunting in response. Outside, Doppelganger decapitated the last of the Clones with a burning chainsaw, a wicked grin on his face as he strode up to the house. With a loud grunt, he kicked the door hard, unable to budge it due to the barricade. Knowing Doppelganger's approach, T. Engie and Rabid Heavy immediately dove towards the door, adding to the blockage with their own bodies. "Git goin'!" Panicked, the two BLU Freaks began frantically running amok, trying to find an escape route. Doppelganger continued his vicious assault on the door, ramming his shoulder into the door whilst simultaneously bashing it with a frozen toy hammer, but to no avail. When a resounding crack broke a portion of the door, Seeman and Seedler collided into each other in panic. However, their sudden collision pointed Seeman in the direction near the fireplace. He tapped his friend's shoulder and pointed towards an open window.

"SEE?" Seeman said, making an unusual face and gesturing towards the item of interest.

"Good call, Seeman!" Seedler exclaimed. The two rapidly clambered for the open window, falling over each other in their manic escape. Just as the two reached their only hope of safety, a thunderous crack erupted as splintered fragments impacted their backs. Turning about, they saw a murderous-looking Doppelganger, standing above a downed T. Engie, a sledgehammer made of a frozen block between his hands.

"HOUSE KEEPING!" Doppelganger manically exclaimed, his eye twitching violently. With a might heft, Doppelganger raised his icy sledgehammer over his head, ready to bring it crashing down upon the grizzled Clone. Doppelganger slammed the hammer down, but the hammer shattered as the ever vicious Rabid Heavy. "Oh look, a new play mate!" Rabid Heavy simply growled, his red eyes flashing as his master crawled away. The man-beast swung his fist at the white-suited copycat, knocking him clean off his feet and flying through several pieces of wood. Pulling himself up from the rubble, Doppelganger gave a manic smile as blood leaked from his mouth. With a wild roar, Doppelganger formed a burning meat-hook and swung it at Rabid Heavy. The attack did little but dent the hook, but Rabid Heavy did find himself being burned. Seeing his ally in pain, T. Engie quickly yanked his revolver from his holster, and fired two shots into Doppelganger's shoulder. The copycat Freak fell over, watching as a bloody rose form on his shoulder.

"Son, Ah'm going to blow that dumb look right off yer stupid face." T. Engie said, helping Rabid Heavy to his feet. Doppelganger stood to his feet, cracked his neck, and gave off an ominous chuckle.

"I love it when they fight back." He muttered, encasing his fist in ice. And with a mighty roar, he swung.

Rabid Heavy and "T. Engie"

Rabid Heavy Taming Engineer and Rabid Heavy are two 'pseudo-Freaks', created by YouTuber Crash Maul. Initially, T. Engie was just another RED Engineer Clone, but exhibited rather unusual behavior for the nearly dumb Clones, showing extreme craftiness and leadership skills. He put his skills to use when aiding Project FREAK in taming a rather difficult to contain Freak, a RED Heavy Freak given herculean strength and the brain of a bear known as Rabid Heavy. The two became an elite fighting duo, a master and his monster. While Rabid Heavy does most of the fighting, essentially tearing up foes with his bear hands and Warrior's Spirit gauntlets, T. Engie is more than capable of defending himself with a trusty revolver. T. Engie wears a cowboy hat, cowboy pants and spurs, and sports a vicious claw scar on the left side of his face. Rabid Heavy is a grey-skinned RED Heavy with blood-red eye, wearing a wolf pelt on his head.

Seeman and Seelder

A pair of idiots that just so happened to be among the strongest Freaks in existence, Seeman and Seedler are a RED Demoman Freak and a big-headed BLU Soldier Freak, created by YouTuber KernCore. Seeman is essentially a "Captain Obvious", pointing out random things, proclaiming "SEE?!" and making a weird face. Despite his stupid behavior, Seeman is an incredibly capable fighter, able to inflate his hands to massive sizes to crush his foes, randomly generating sticky bombs by pointing them out, and has a trademark See-Beam, which can devastate enemies who cannot evade. Seeman is also difficult to harm, having extreme levels of resilience, and has even been capable over overcoming the dread Snyphurr's stone transformation attack. His best friend, Seedler, defends his best buddy when in danger, and has an odd ability where he dances an awkward dance, causing him to have anything explode that touches him. As previously stated... They are very stupid.
