Creaturemaster - I agree, someone may possibly notice her but then again I figure it ultimately comes down to how well she can convince them she's someone that she's not. ;) I'm not ever sure where any part of any story is going to go until I actually sit down and write the chapter. I have no idea how this story is going to end at all, but I like writing like that. It's thrilling to me, XD lmao yes, her meeting up with Mr. Hack would be quite interesting! Thank you for reading. Kaout - Thank you! Honestly Kaout, I have no idea where this story is going to go or what I'm going to do in the future chapters. Very rarely do I ever sit down to a story and know exactly where it's going from start to finish. I've tried doing that before and whenever I do, I become bored quickly. Yet if I sit down and just write with no certain destination in mind, it's far more entertaining to me and I'm sure that when I'm having fun, it shows in my chapters. On another note, I love watching the movies and the webisodes (and playing the video games!) but other than basic knowledge and school layout and what not, I try not to do anything they've done already if I can help it. So I do try to keep my own original ideas going. So, we'll just have to see what happens! Enjoy, :) Coolbutcrazy writer - Thank you! My apologies that you've found it back in August and I'm only updating in October, I have a busy schedule and sadly it really slashes at my updating time. I have never stopped a story without letting audience know, (no matter how big or small the fandom is) so even if I haven't updated in awhile, it's still going! With this chapter I had a minor issue of where exactly it was (which computer I had written it on/left it, etc.) but I ultimately found it! XD I always try to keep my stories away from anything they've done before, I did love how Pharaoh and Catty performed together and blossomed in Boo-York, however it's not something that I want to 'play on' if you know what I mean. I'd rather have some original elements into this story. I do hope you continue to read! Thanks for reading so far, :) Emily - Thank you for reviewing! I will not be using Pharaoh in my story, but I do hope you stick around to continue reading! :)

Beautiful Nightmares

Chapter Ten

'Come on Catty, don't be nervous. You can handle this! Though… it isn't signing autographs… or a meet and greet, however it could be if my cover's blown!' She took a deep breath to calm her racing thoughts. She could do this! She could totally handle this. "Hello everyone I'm Dakota Scarrison, pleased to meet your acquaintances!"

Draculaura pulled out a chair for Dakota, "Sit! Sit. Ghouls, she is brand new here at Monster High and I thought we could give her a nice welcoming."

Frankie waved, "Hi there! It wasn't too long ago that I was new too, so I totally get how you probably feel."

'If only you did.' She thought to herself, but kept a smile on her face. "Thank you, I appreciate your compassion."

"I'm Frankie, by the way."

"Hey, I'm Clawdeen!" The she-wolf introduced, setting her sketch pad aside.

Catty's eyes scanned the page quickly, those designs were fierce! "Hey… your designs, those are fierce looking! They'd be amazing on stage."

Clawdeen raised a curious eyebrow, "On stage for who?"

She cleared her throat, almost having gotten herself caught again. "Just in general! They're so cool that some famous person somewhere should be wearing them… and showcasing your talent!"

Lagoona smiled, "That's our Clawdeen, freaky fabulous and fierce. Even her personal wardrobe will tell you that."

Catty nodded, "Freaky fab indeed!"

"I'm Lagoona Blue. You've already met Draculaura. Hmm, who's left? Frankie, Clawdeen…" she tapped her finger on the creepateria table.

"Hey, new ghoul!" Heath approached the table, the ghouls groaned in unison. He had good intentions… most of the time.

"Hello you!" she greeted with a big smile, standing up to give him a brief hug. This left them in total shock and confusion.

He sat down at the table, knowing it would have to be brief. "How were your first classes?" he asked her genuinely.

"They were decent! That Mr. Where is a character." She smiled, glad that she saw him again so soon. She thought she might've lost him in the crowd.

"Yeah, he's something else." He agreed, "What's my favorite group of ghouls up to? Read anything good in Monster Beat?" He asked the lot of them.

"Actually, y'all better read this." Operetta approached the lunch table with her own copy of the main article. "It says here that Catty Noir's gone missin'… she was last seen at a huge gala or somethin' of the sorts… and it was the last time she was seen! There's rumors comin' out of the woodworks, some think she died."

"No she didn't. She's perfectly fine." Catty herself answered it flat-out, but wondered why the other ghouls were staring at her blankly.

"How would you know somethin' like that, sweet pea'?" Operetta asked her directly. She didn't beat around the bush by any means. "Do y'know her personally or somethin' like that? I mean I'd believe it; them famous folk are no different from you and me." She shrugged, "They just have certain talents, that's all."

Her mind raced with what she could possibly tell them. It was a good question, how the hell would she know? "I – I met her! The other day, real nice ghoul. It was after that… thing, that she left early from. That you mentioned in the article… yeah, I met her after that. Briefly, like, ran into her… sorta."

Frankie nodded, "Oh, that's really cool! I guess celebs need average things like we do."

The superstar-in-disguise smiled and briefly nodded, "Sure they do. Yes. Toilet paper I think… I think she was getting some toilet paper!" She face-palmed. 'Gosh Catty, just shut up!' she cursed herself for the second time today.

Even Heath raised an eyebrow, though he chuckled. "Well, we all have that need in common."

The warning bell rang that signified they had about ten minutes to get to their classes before they were officially considered late. "Thank goodness." She breathed, taking her empty tray with her to discard it.

"Hey," Heath followed her, startling her. "sorry about that."

She smiled, "Oh no, it's okay. What's up? Heath, right?" She wanted to be sure that she was remembering names correctly.

"Yeah," he blushed, rubbing the back of his neck. "if you want I could show you to your next class?"

Catty could hardly keep the smile from her face. "I'm so very glad you asked. I'd be honored."

He held out his arm, "Shall we?"

She blushed and accepted. "Let's shall."

Abbey Bominable stood at her locker after school. She glanced at the school's clock. "Strange… been two moons since hot-head's last attempt at flattering Abbey." She put her books away. "Maybe he is sick? Did he leave early?" For the unlife of her, she just couldn't understand why he wasn't pestering her. She hoped he hadn't given up or anything. It wasn't her intention. She just wanted him to ask her out properly, she didn't want him to use lines on her. She didn't want any of the rhymes or anything, just a plain and simple 'Will you go out with me?' would do the job and she didn't want to be the one to tell him that.

"Pssst, Toralei!" Abbey called out to the curious werekitty.

She walked over quickly, leaning up against the lockers. "You summoned me?" Tossing the hair out of her eyes, she stared at Abbey intently.

"I did." She sighed and tucked one of Heath's silly poems behind her locker mirror. "Have you seen Heath? I haven't in long time."

"Yeah, totally. He's been showing this ghoul around the school. I think she's new." She tapped her manicured nails upon her arms as they were crossed over her chest. "Another ghoul's been taking up his time. I guess it must be all those times you've rejected him that made him wake up and realize that he was bothering you." She smirked, "Some boys just don't get it, do they?"

Abbey bit down on her lip nervously. Was Toralei speaking the truth? She hadn't thought she rejected him that often. "I haven't rejected that much…"

"Only all the time!" She giggled, shaking her head.

Abbey narrowed her eyes, now annoyed with the obnoxious werecat. "Thanks for the information… you can go now." She shut her locker door with the books she needed in her arms. She hugged them close to her chest and started down the hall. Could Heath have gotten the wrong message? It was possible of course, but was she wrong in wanting to be asked out formally?

She stopped in her tracks when she saw Heath turn the corner and start heading in her direction. There he was finally! But as soon as she saw the ghoul he had his arm linked with, her smile turned into a direct frown. "This is unfortunate." Abbey narrowed her eyes. There was no denying the fact that the ghoul was near perfection. Her hair was on point, her clothing… of course she probably had a great personality too. She sighed as the two of them past her; things had definitely escalated in complication.
