Hey everyone, it's 1 AM! But I don't care!
I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender.
It was a stormy morning in the city of Ba Sing Se. Rain came down in buckets, and trees were thrashing violently like blades of grass in the howling wind.
Lightning flashed practically constantly, sending bright bolts of light through the soupy gray sky as crashes of thunder rumbled through the city.
Aang was the first person awake, as usual. When he looked out the window, his sighed in disappointment. He and Katara were going to have a picnic today.
Apparently Mother Nature had other plans.
"Aw, man…" he complained to himself, dejectedly trudging to the kitchen and taking an apple.
Katara soon awoke and found herself sitting next to a downcast Aang.
"Hey…" she said softly. "You look upset."
He shrugged. "It's just the weather," he told her. "We had plans. But…whatever. It's okay, really."
She rubbed his back. "There'll be other days."
"Yeah," he replied. "I just hate the rain. It gets in the way of everything."
"Aang, you know very well that without rain, there are no trees, or grass, or flowers," Katara pointed out.
"Yeah, and no picnics either," Aang said.
"Oh, lighten up," she told him. "It's just a little rain."
"Yep…" he responded, tracing his right index finger in small circles on the table.
She sighed. "Okay, if you're not going to cheer up, then I'm going to."
"What are you—?" Aang started.
But Katara pulled him out of his chair and onto the couch, her on top of him.
"Katara?" he gasped in shock, his eyes shining in innocence.
She smirked and crashed her lips into his, rolling over so they were each on their sides.
Aang, having been effectively surprised, was on sensory overload and could barely register what was happening. His lips moved with hers by pure instinct, and his hands roamed from the back of her neck to the small of her back. Their tongues were practically tied into a knot, and Aang's heart was beating faster than Appa on cactus juice.
Katara pulled away after fifteen seconds or so, before her devilish smirk came across her face again.
Aang was redder than the apple he had eaten for breakfast. "K-Ka—"
Again, she cut him off. She began to run her fingers over his chest, making him gasp.
Her smirk grew larger as she started to tickle him all over his body. His abdomen, sides, ribs, neck…no part of him was left untouched.
Aang was laughing now. She had found his only weakness!. "Ka…Ka…Katara! S-stop! P-please!"
So she finally stopped tickling him, the smirk still plastered on her face.
Aang's face was completely flushed, his eyes bulging. His heart was racing, and he was panting heavily. "O…okay. I feel…better now," he huffed.
Katara giggled and gave him a hug. "Good."
Just then, a loud feminine voice erupted from down the hall. "Will you two quit it!? Your heartbeats are driving me insane!" It was Toph.
Aang and Katara looked at each other.
"Nope," they said in unison.
Well, so much for their picnic…
