Hi, everyone! Here's Chapter 24, enjoy! (Don't own it, so don't ask!)

Aang couldn't do it. He simply couldn't do it.

How was he supposed to take Katara on a date? What would he say? "Hey, Katara. Wanna go out?" He had never been out on a date before!

"That's exactly what you say!" Zuko told Aang, who was currently in fhe Fire Natiin Capital and felt it would be awkward to talk about the subject with Sokka. "Aren't you two already dating? Why are you so nervous?"

"Well…" Aang replied. "That's the thing. We're dating, but we aren't really dating. As in, out on a date. I don't know what to do, Zuko. I'm only thirteen; I've never—"

"Oy vey," Zuko said, rubbing his temples. "Aang, don't over-think this. Just do something nice for Katara. Go somewhere nice."

"What, like a restaurant?" Aang asked. "I can't pay for that!"

"Not necessarily," Zuko told him. "Somewhere you both want to go. Don't go to a place you can't afford, or don't like. It won't be fun for you."

"I guess," Aang said. "But what do I do? How do I act?"

Zuko chuckled. It was amusing to see Aang having first-date jitters.

"Just be yourself," Zuko said, "as cliché as that sounds. Now, go! You don't need my help anymore." He shooed Aang away.

It certainly didn't help that it was summer in the Fire Nation, and Zuko kept the palace very warm. Aang was sweating buckets as he walked out of Zuko's room and toward Katara's. I still don't think I can do this.

He knocked on the door to Katara's room.

And almost immediately, the door opened, revealing Katara herself. "Hi, Aang," she said happily, guiding him into her room. "What's up?"

"Um…w-well, I've been meaning to ask you something," Aang said as they sat down together on her bed.

"Okay, what is it?" she inquired, laying her head on his shoulder and putting an arm around him.

He blushed. Why is she making this so difficult? "Uh…" He hesitated.

"Well?" Katara coaxed, rubbing his back.

"W-well…we've been together for eight months, and…" Aang struggled.

"Are we… breaking up?" she asked, her eyes glimmering.

Aang was incredulous. "What? No, no! Never!" he said quickly. "Actually, it's the exact opposite. We've been together so long, and we've never really been…out. So I thought maybe tomorrow…"

"You want to go on a date with me?" she finished for him.

"Um…y-yeah," he said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. "If you're up for it."

She smiled. "Aang, you're so sweet," she said, kissing his cheek. "I'd love to."

Aang felt like jumping for joy. "Great! So…what did you want to do?"

"Nothing too fancy," Katara replied. "I'm sure whatever you think of will be perfect."

His face went pale, paler than usual. He hadn't thought of anything! He thought she would have something in mind!

"Are you okay?" she asked him, noticing his unusual expression.

"Yeah," he replied. "Just, um…a little hot."

The next morning, Aang was a wreck. He paced the palace, pondering what to his date with Katara.

Fancy restaurant? No, he couldn't afford that.

Dancing? No, too flashy.

Ember Island? No, too far.

He sighed. "What am I going to do?!" he grumbled.

"About what?"

Aang turned around. Katara had been standing behind him.

"Um…this important trade route General How proposed the other day," he lied.

Surprisingly, she bought it. "Oh. I'm sure you'll figure it out," she said supportively before walking away.

Actually, it wasn't a complete lie. General How had proposed a new trade route two days before. But that was on the back burner right now; Aang had to figure out what he was going to do about their date.

"I'm sure whatever you think of will be perfect."

Aang groaned. Nothing he thought of would work.

What was he going to do!?
