Look, guys, it's 2 AM. Don't even ask.
"Hey, Katara?"
"What is it, Aang?"
"Look at this cool Waterbending move I learned!"
"Hang on, I'm putting the tent away!"
"I'm doing it! Woohoo, this is awesome!"
"I'm coming!"
"Mono, what are you…Momo…Momo, no! You flew right through my water stream! You made me mess up the move!"
"Okay, Aang, I'm here!"
"Ugh!"
"Hey, Katara, look at this cool flower!"
"I'll be right there, Aang…I'm just helping Sokka find his boomerang!"
"Okay, I'll go put the campfire out."
"Where is that boomerang? Aha! There you are!"
"Oh, no! I dropped the flower!"
"Okay, Aang, what did you want to show me?"
"A flower…"
"Aww, aren't you sweet. Where is it?"
"Umm…I dropped it."
"Where?"
"Into the campfire…"
"Katara, look! I found this really nice seashell but there's a hermit crab in it. Come quick!"
"Okay, Aang. I just have to find my towel."
"Quick, the hermit crab is getting away!"
"Oh, there's my towel. Coming, Aang!"
"Oh, no! The tide's coming in! Run, hermit crab!"
"Hey, Aang. Where's the shell?"
"Aw, man!"
"Katara, I made a really nice painting! Come see!"
"I'll be there in a second, Aang. I just have to finish writing this letter."
"Now, where did I put that red paint jar?"
"Just a few more words…"
"There it is! Wait, where's the lid?"
"Done!"
"Momo? Momo, no! You spilled it all over, it's ruined!"
"Hey, what happened to your painting?"
"Momo happened…"
Aang's face dropped. These last few days, he'd been trying to get Katara to notice him. But she had been so busy lately, and whenever she had come to see what Aang was up to, things went all wrong.
"Hey, it's okay," Katara said. "You can make another painting, you know."
"I know," Aang replied. "It's the principle of the thing, though. You've been so busy lately, and I've just wanted to spend some time with you…but everything's been going wrong."
"I'm sorry, Aang. I didn't know…why didn't you say something?" she asked.
He shrugged. "I didn't want to bother you, or seem too clingy."
Katara giggled. "Aang, you're the clingiest person I know. Not that that's a bad thing, of course. It's cute."
Aang blushed. "Um…thanks, I guess?"
"You know, Aang, you don't have to keep trying to get me to notice you," Katara said. "You are my boyfriend, it takes a lot not to notice you."
"I guess I just like your attention," Aang replied jokingly.
"Oh, is that so?" Katara smirked. "Because you looked to me like you wanted more than just attention."
"Well…what'd you have in mind?"
"Oh, I have some ideas."
"Katara, you can't possibly be thinking—"
And then she pressed her lips to his for a brief moment.
"You talk too much."
