Hey, everyone. I'm feeling…particularly evil toward Aang today. Let's see how this pans out…

It was a slow day of business at The Jasmine Dragon tea shop in Ba Sing Se. Aang, Katara, Sokka, Sukki, Toph, and Zuko (on a leave of absence)—along with Momo—were all in a large booth, relaxing, enjoying some tea, and hanging out like normal kids their age did. They talked and laughed for hours and hours, as if they hadn't seen each other in ages.

Well…Sokka did most of the talking, with the others occasionally commenting on his wildly hilarious stories.

After a particularly funny remark from Sokka, Aang said, "Yeah, you should have seen the look on Katara's face when I accidentally—"

Aang's voice cracked, producing a high, loud squeak that sounded like a chair scraping across a wooden floor.

He blushed and tried to continue. "…Um, I accidentally put In pepper instead of sa—"

It happened again. Everyone at the table snickered a little bit.

"Ha, sounds like Airhead here still hasn't gotten his big, manly voice yet," Sokka joked, exaggeratedly deepening his voice.

Everyone giggled at this, except for Aang, that is.

Even Katara laughed a little. Upon receiving an irritated look from Aang, she said, "I'm sorry, sweetie…maybe you should drink some water."

"Yeah…water…" Aang said quietly, getting up and getting some.

"Come on, guys, you're embarrassing him," Katara said, still smiling.

"Ah, he knows I'm just kidding," Sokka said. "Right, buddy?" He turned to the Avatar, who had just returned to the table with a glass of water.

"Uh…sure, whatever," Aang mumbled, sitting down next to Katara, who wrapped her arms around him sympathetically.

""Hey…" she said softly. "Just ignore him…you know how he is."

"Uh, Katara, I'm right here!" Sokka said, slightly hurt.

Everyone laughed.

Aang, however, was not amused.

Katara decided that the best course of action was to get Aang away from the table before he made himself—and everyone else—miserable.

"Uh…I'm going to get some fresh air," she said, getting up and grabbing Aang's arm. "Come on."

"Great. They're never coming back," Zuko said.

"Whatever," Sokka said. "If they want to make out, fine. So long as they keep their oogies to themselves."

Katara had led Aang to the balcony, where the pair sat on a bench and watched the setting sun.

"Sorry, Katara," Aang said. "I…guess I was just—" His voice cracked again. "Ugh!"

Katara giggled. "Aang, trust me…it's nothing to worry about. Sokka used to be just like that, it's part of growing up."

"It doesn't matter," he said. "It's embarrassing. Even you're laughing at me."

"I know," she said, taking his hand and lacing their fingers together. "And you're right, it isn't fair. I'm sorry."

"It's okay, I guess I was just being dramatic," Aang replied.

"I don't think so," Katara said. "You were just embarrassed. But…I think it's kind of cute."

"You…do?" he asked, his voice cracking yet again.

She giggled again. "Yes."

"Because I think I sound like a possum-rat," he squeaked.

"You sound fine. Now shut up and kiss me already," Katara said playfully.

"Since when was that part of the deal?" Aang asked, complete with a high voice crack on the word 'that.'

"Since I said so," Katara replied, smiling.

"Well, in that case…"

Oh, by the way, I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender. So there.

One more thing, guys, just wanted to remind you that I am completely open to requests and stuff. If you have any, shoot—I'll do it for you.
